I’m honestly surprised by the high ratings this place receives. As someone who has managed a restaurant, I have certain expectations — and unfortunately, this place fell short on several fronts. My wife brought me here for my birthday dinner. We checked in with the hostess and were seated outside, where there were no heaters — unlike the deck section, which did have them. It was a chilly evening, and that already made things less comfortable. Shortly after being seated, we were served a baguette — it was tasty, but oddly came without butter. Since our food was delayed, we asked for a couple more pieces. The second batch was so hard we couldn’t eat it. Our server noticed, apologized, and brought out more — but unfortunately, the next round was just as inedible, so we gave up on the bread altogether. We were seated at 7:00 p.m. but didn’t receive our appetizer until 8:00 p.m. — a full hour later. We also ordered two cocktails: the house margarita and something called the “Smoky Babana.” Neither was enjoyable. My wife actually sent hers back and ordered a glass of wine instead. Timing of the courses was completely off. We were supposed to get the gnocchi as a separate course before the filet mignon, but both came out at the same time. To make things worse, the $46 filet — ordered medium rare — came out medium. The cut was not impressive, and the overall quality of the meat was disappointing. The only redeeming quality of the evening was the ambience. The atmosphere was lovely, and the space had potential. But food, service timing, and overall execution missed the mark for what should’ve been a special evening. Unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

While staying in Santa Rosa we came here for dinner one evening. The setting is in a beautiful, old mansion with plenty of parking to the side of it. They have beautiful garden areas to sit outside and plenty of indoor seating as well. Service was very nice and personable. The menu is rather basic though. The appetizer list was decent, salad list was too simple, pasta list was awesome – it was the best topic on the menu, but the entrée (secondi) list was way too simple, offering just one of each protein. We shared their rigatoni, which was excellent! I don’t think I’ve ever had peas in a red sauce and this was great! The sausage had an odd texture to it, but the flavors seemed decent. The portion was perfect for splitting too! Next up was their chicken dish, which was stuffed with prosciutto and cheese and wrapped in dough. It was ok, but lacked flavor, especially in regards to the chicken itself. Their wine list is decent, they offer a local, Balletto wine for a really good price. Overall, not sure what all the hype is about regarding this particular place, but we probably wouldn’t return, unless they revamped their menu.

Yum!! This is the best Italian in Sonoma county. We came in for date night and everything was so good. Cocktails, bread, but the pasta!! The pasta was obviously fresh/house made and was so good, the consistency of the noodles was awesome. We got the carbonara and bolognese, pretty basic of us, but woah it was great! We will be sure to come back for more date nights, there’s plenty of things we need to try.

Ordered Filetto medium rare. Beef Tenderloin cooked to perfection, flavorful, juicy and tender. Did not disappoint! Had the salad with arugula and pecans, was also delicious! Very busy, no reservations and no wait time.

Incredible food!! My family came here for a birthday dinner and we had a wonderful time. SO charming! The servers are super kind and attentive. Lovely atmosphere. Beautiful gardens. Loved the Butternut Squash dish and the desserts were amazing. Free easy parking out front. Just perfect.

The food is absolutely delicious! Please have a little patience after placing your orders because it takes a little bit of time to get the food! Great service and great wine list as well!

Went w my wife to this place while we were around Santa Rosa, we had few options but based on the reviews we pick this restaurant we make a reservation, we were really excited to try out! We arrived in time nobody was at the host desk to accommodate us, we waited 6-7 minutes still nobody came up to us! So we decided to go inside one of the dining room to get a sit, finally one of the waiter saw us and give us a table in one of the inside room! They took our order, food arrived, the appetiser were decent, once we get the main course ; bolognese for my wife and carbonara for me, I’m not joking was one of the worst pasta we ever tried, pasta was badly overcooked, the bolognese sauce was tasteless remind me of the Prego Bolognese sauce u can find at the store, my carbonara instead was hideous, plain soggy and disgusting! ( I’m Italian raised and born, I know I can’t expect the same flavour from Italy but at least something that vaguely remember the flavour, at least) Food tasted like a geriatric version of Italian food, in a hospital! The Busser were nice and attentive, our server maybe checked on us once during the experience if u can call it like that. We didn’t even finish our main, we stand up went to pay to whoever was available and left the place! On a the positive side I’ve to mention that the wine list is pretty good, especially with the Italian white from southern Italy, really good I’ve to admit that! Frankly we will never get back to this place, maybe only to sip wine and that is it!

This has become my favorite restaurant for special occasions / date night. The food, service, and atmosphere is amazing ! The aesthetic of the victorian home is beautiful no matter if you sit inside, on the front porch, or garden. It is very calm, and quite making it easy to have a conversation with your table / partner. The service is very welcoming and professional. The waiters are super friendly and attentive and offer helpful suggestions when asked. The food is always amazing and reasonably priced for what you are getting. The dishes are also played very nice aswell. My favorite so far has been the Salmon. Much better than your standard chain restaurant meal and only a couple of dollars more expensive. If you want to give this place a try without breaking the bank too much I would suggest going in for the lunch specials which are around 22$ (pictured).
