We’re staying at the hotel right beside Cabin Creek so we decided to give them a try! I mostly just wanted a soup while dad wanted some wings, and the kids wanted burgers. Guess what? They had all of it. We even ordered some hot cocoa and earl grey tea while my husband wanted the house special Argentine Amber beer. All of the food was made fresh, the fries were so delicious as were the loaded tots. My red pepper Gouda soup hit the spot of this frigid, windy evening. I prefer more salt, pregnancy probs, but it wasn’t bland by any means. They were out of crackers so we got the tortilla chips which were good and salty (woohoo!). Our server was Megan M, she was friendly and attentive. There is an atm machine at the entrance, but the check is paid by your phone although they probably could take your card at the register. Everything arrived timely, not a long wait at all on a busy evening. Good visit!

Went to Cabin Creek after the Georgetown Loop Railroad and the experience was pretty weird. No one greeted us, no one explained anything, and I had to figure out on my own that you’re supposed to sit anywhere and order at the bar. Service was basically nonexistent. The food was ok, nothing special, but the place is clean and the outdoor seating has a really nice lake view. Overall, worth it only for the scenery — I wouldn’t go back.

We vacationed in Georgetown last week and really enjoyed the atmosphere of the entire town, it's vibe, and incredible scenery that surrounds it. We visited Cabin Creek 2x, first on a busy Saturday afternoon for a beer and pizza, which we enjoyed. This review is about our second visit. Georgetown is small, and the restaurants close pretty early, especially on a Tuesday. We got shut out of the place just up the street (actually 2x and arrived both times well before 'closing time'), and went to Cabin Creek. Greeted with a wonderful smile by Cheyenne, she said the kitchen was still open and we were seated at our table. The place is about empty. As we sat down, bartender, Cameron, brings us a couple glasses of water, and as Cheyenne goes to kitchen with order, Cam brings us our drinks. So far great service! Food was good and so was my smokey beer they had brewed. After eating, I asked her to take our picture and told her it was our 41st anniversary. We got up and she took some great shots (photobombed by Cam!). Cam then offered to play us a song, and my wife and I got up and danced. Cheyenne and Cam kept going above and beyond in making it a special evening, that had my wife smiling on a special day!

We found out about Cabin Creek Brewing through a YouTube video that raved about the spectacular views it offered and decided to give it a shot, and were not disappointed. The mountains were a stunning backdrop, and the water was crystal clear. The food was pretty great too :) there was a lot of rush and it was hard to find a table. The staff was very proactive.

Our server Mandy was a delight! Loved the atmosphere! I have a whiskey flight that was delicious as well as a beer chaser, which i have never heard of. There slinger beer was great! And thats coming from someone who doesnt drink beer. We also enjoyed there fried cauliflower!

The food was really good. They were very busy but the tables would come open and the servers were quick in cleaning them off and getting people seated. They have open seating indoor and outdoor. The biggest difference is that for outdoor seating you have order at the bar. For indoor seating the server will come and serve you. The views of the creek from the patio are amazing . Lots of gluten free options including freshly with gluten free bun option and cauliflower crust for their pizza.

First time here. I ordered the build your own flight, choice of 4 beers. All were tasty! Service was really good, staff was very friendly and efficient. Shpit out to Allison with the flower tattoo on her ear. Ordered chili cheese tater tots, yummy 😋 will definitely be back. Oh, and did i mention the absolutely beautiful location?!

This place is a gem along the water, with a breathtaking backdrop. There was plenty seating, though visited on a Friday afternoon. They offer two preset flights, and the third option is a pick-your-own. If you’re into flights, you’ll love them. Their fish and chips (not pictured) were absolutely delicious, especially with their homemade sauce.

Such a gem right here in Georgetown! Cabin Creek Grill is one of those local spots that just hits the spot every time -- great food, friendly people, and that beautiful mountain-lake view that makes everything taste even better. The food is honestly amazing -- hearty, flavorful, and clearly made with care. It's got that cozy, small-town feel but still feels bright and open inside, with big windows looking right out over Georgetown Lake. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming -- expect normal restaurant noise and happy chatter, nothing overwhelming. The staff has always been super kind and attentive, which really adds to the experience. Whether you're stopping by after exploring the lake or just craving a solid local meal, this is the perfect spot to unwind and take in the view. Definitely recommend if you're passing through town or staying for the weekend -- it's one of those places that reminds you why mountain living is so special.

We made a pit stop here during our day trip to the mountains to hike around and enjoy fall. The food was fantastic. We arrived right when it opened and didn't have to wait to be seated but the place fills up fast! The wait staff was wonderful and courteous and surprisingly quick given how jam packed this place is. Highly recommend! Kid, dog and even gluten free friendly!

Very cool place to stop on the way to Breck, or Denver. Their whisky flight is really good and a good price. The grilled cheese with soup is a must. And of course, the views. Nestled below the mountains, sipping a cold beer is everything you need.

Amazing food, great ambiance and helpful & patient staff, this would be the gist of my visit at Cabin Creek Brewing. The pizzas, grilled cheese and beignets are amazing. The place is easy going with lots of seating and parking space. The patio has some great views of Georgetown lake and has an awesome ambience. Overall loved it here as 1st time visitors to Georgetown.

Great spot in Georgetown! They have a cauliflower/gluten free crust for the pizza & it was a very yummy pizza after a hike. The location is stunning and has beautiful views of the area around. The service was so quick & chill & friendly, I loved it!

Spectacular views, good brews and decent food! We sat outdoors with our dog and brought along non CO folks to dine here - ofcourse they were blown away by this spot. Food was good and so were their flights. Service quick and effortless. I have probably come here twice every season for the past 4 years especially after snowboarding in the mountains! Highly recommend this spot

The location is great. On lake with a patio to just relax & chill after hiking in the mountains. The beers were just ok. The food was a miss. Everything was over fried. A definite lack of sauces for your sandwiches or fries. The servers were very polite & attentive. Not sure if it was an off day in the kitchen but nothing here would bring me back in. Best dish was the dip sandwich. Recommend that over anything else we tried.

Had lunch with the girlies after crushing the Slacker--because nothing says "reward yourself" like views, vibes, and bites that slap. We were hot, sweaty, and starving (cute, right?), so obviously we had to refuel before making the long trek home. One of my besties went fancy with the prosciutto pizza, a couple of us dove headfirst into those smash burgers (because hello, we earned them), and another went all-in with the prime rib dip--go off, queen. Now let's talk logistics: the place was packed--like standing-room-only packed. If you're planning to sit outside, here's your hot tip: you'll need to order at the bar. So do yourself a favor and just sit at the bar. Inside? You get the VIP treatment with table service. Despite the crowd, the service was on point, everything looked delish, and that burger? She was juicy, indulgent, and exactly what my post-run self needed. Chef's kiss.

Great selection of beers and a small menu available. I got the prime rib dip sandwich and the buffo cheesy tots on the side- SO crispy, one of the best tots I've ever had. The views paired wonderfully with our brews.

Good food, great beers, amazing views. The food is pub fare but elevated. Order at the counter, food is delivered at the table. We sat outside by the creek and soaked in the views while enjoying the food. The brewery is a couple of miles from the main drag (6th street) but it's worth the drive (most restaurants in downtown Georgetown cater to tourists and have limited selections)

On hour two or three of aggravating I-70 traffic and willing to give up your firstborn for a crisp beer and savory meal? Pull on over to Cabin Creek Brewing, a stunning gem just 45 miles west of Denver. The only problem? You may never reach your final destination. This lakeside brewpub is perfectly nestled in the Rockies, providing the perfect back drop for a pit stop turned afternoon hangout. We stopped here on our traffic heavy trek back to the city and tragically only had time for a quick beer, but one could easily spend hours at this beauty. Grab a pizza and bev then head out on a paddle board or simply admire the pristine surroundings. Sounds ideal to me

I really wanted to love this place... it's in a fantastic location right next to a lake where families gather to fish, paddleboard, or just hang out by the water. The brewery itself has a great vibe, with tons of indoor and outdoor seating, making it an ideal stop after skiing or hiking. Unfortunately, the food just didn't measure up. We ordered a variety of items: Caesar wrap, pepperoni pizza, queso, fried cauliflower, and buffalo tots. The only thing that stood out were the buffalo tots which were yummy but not good enough for me to crave them and come back. Everything else ranged from forgettable to below average. It's disappointing because the atmosphere is genuinely fun and welcoming. As much as I enjoyed the setting, I don't think I'll be coming back. A great location can only do so much if the food doesn't deliver.

We stopped here before touring around Georgetown with the family. It was an accommodating spot for a larger group with plenty of fixings for everyone's taste buds. But, I'm happy with my decision to go with the pizza option. They were all so tasty! Fun vibes, good food, and great location.

Came here with a friend after a day of leaf peeping and paddle boarding. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. The seating outside overlooks Georgetown Lake. Stunning views. There was even a smaller wedding going on while we were there. It was around 5:30pm so there was a small line for seating. The wait was going to be around 30 minutes, but we were lucky enough to have found two seats together at the bar. We order a few drinks which came out very quickly and then shared a buffalo chicken tots and the prosciutto pizza. Honestly this is some of the best pizza I have had in Colorado. I am craving it already! Food took around 25 minutes to get to us, but it was so worth it. I already can't wait to go back. Overall, 5/5 experience :)

No fries here -- so I went for this spot's delicious alternative: loaded tots. These came out so fast! Even faster than my flight of beers. I highly recommend this spot after a hike in Guanella Pass. It's got great views, a dog friendly patio and solid food and beer. Everyone around me looked like they had great food. And don't skip out on dessert! The Reese's pie was fantastic. Service was overall pretty good. It is a giant and busy space, and everyone (hostess, servers, food runners) was trying their hardest. I really appreciated how they handled a group that apparently waited forever for a table; they were friendly and apologetic.

So, I was fortunate enough to have a way better experience than Matt C. :) -- My beers (the salt & lime lager and blood orange blonde) were both very good. For my food, I went with the Cabin Creek style smash-burger. It came with a generous amount of caramelized onions, arugula, and beer cheese on a potato bun. Other than the bun being a tad large, this was the very best smash-burger I have had in recent years. Well-cooked and loaded with favor this was. The tots were shatteringly crisp. This was mostly great but I was sort of hoping for a few softer ones as well. Service was mostly good, but they were pretty slammed during this Friday lunch.

Fun little brewery to hang out at. The staff there was fantastic even letting us stay a little past closing since we were gathering lots of out of towners for pre-wedding festivities for my brothers wedding.

Good place to stop on your way back from the mountains into denver! Right on the water with some amazing food. They always have a nice picnic table available for small or big groups. There is a really nice kayaks and paddle board rental place next door before or after your meal!

If there was an award for the best venue for a brewery, I'd argue this is it! While driving nearby, we were on the hunt for a satisfying snack, some time outside and a cold beer. This checked all of our boxes and more. Cabin creek brewing is a popular place, and for good reason. With lots of great seating options, a nice size menu of both food and drinks, there's truly something for everyone! Service was off to a slow (nonexistent) start, but once they had time, we were taken care of nicely! The loaded tots were stunning and the beer was great. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

Nice brewery with good selection of beers and beautiful vie for mountains and lake. They also have selection of food. We took Margherita pizza to go with our beers and it was good but not the best. You can also buy some good quality T shirts up there.

Such a great spot to hang out after leaf peeping/off roading. The wait was a tad long but we made the best of it by walking around the lake. It was also their Octoberfest celebration so definitely want to give some grace because they were slammed! Service was solid and we enjoyed the live music that evening. Our table shared some delicious apps and my fish and chips were perfectly fried and not too greasy.

We went to Cabin Creek Brewery for my husband's birthday. We were looking for a place to meet up for dinner half way between Denver, where family members live, and Leadville, where we live. Cabin Creek was perfect! We called to ask about reservations. They don't take reservations but said that we could call beforehand and they would have a table for us. That is exactly what happened! The service all eveniing was stellar. Cabin Creek has the atmosphere of a Bavarian hunting lodge with German dishes and brews on the menu. It is warm and cozy despite being on the large side. To start, I had an oatmeal stout and my husband had Dresden Schwarzbier, described as a "black German lager." When the wrong beer was delivered, our server not only resolved the situation immediately, but he got to keep the first beer, which was very good! Our party had fish and chips, a Reuben, and Margherita pizzas (not German, but they were delicious and that was OK!). I ordered my Margherita pizza with a cauliflower crust, which was crunch and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their dishes. We had dessert, we shared beignets and a luscious Salted Caramel Cheesecake. My husband said, "we need to go back there!" several times.

Stopped in for a beer flight. Ambience was cool, right off the lake, and looked like there was a wedding reception happening. However they gave themselves an 85% tip... something like $8 on a $9 flight. I don't have the receipt or I would have disputed it. Won't be back.

Came here following a visit to Georgetown Train Loop which is less than 10 minutes from this brewery. Overall the experience was ok. The best thing I think the place has going for it is the location with the views and the beer selection. I asked for a taster of an Oktoberfest beer before making my choice. I opted for an amber which was pretty good. The food was ok in my view. My wife ordered the loaded tots and I got a chicken sandwich and some tenders for our toddler. Loaded tots were probably the best thing. My chicken sandwich was ok. The potato bread bun was very dry to me and the filet was so so. Tenders were also ok. I'd come back for a beer and the views but not the food.

This place is perfect located off I-70. The views and music were amazing. They offer a variety of beers, food, and desserts. My favorite beer was The Slinger. Looking forward to coming back!

So unfortunate a (brand new) beautiful place with stunning views has gone downhill so fast. Friday afternoon, about 50% tables have people. EVERY OTHER TABLE IS DIRTY. Not a single table available to sit. And no one cleaning. I asked to borrow a rag to at least clean one for my family - they said we have napkins, handed me a napkin dispenser and walked away. The 'service' is now basically queue up at the host stand, order with this singular person, then stand around and wait til they yell your name for your order. Continue on in either direction to Idaho springs or Silverthorne/Frisco.

This little gem is tucked away next to a river away from all the hustle and bustle in Georgetown. We had a rather large party and they were able to accommodate us quite well. The service was nice and they also make their own in house beer which I tried one and it was so refreshing and delicious. For my main meal I only ate fish but instead of the "chips" I got this side salad with jalapeño ranch and omg it was so delicious and had the perfect amount of spice in it. My fish was very crispy and the fish tasted fresh and so flaky. This was really good meal! For it being 20 of us they were quick as heck! There was a few small hiccups but nothing that couldn't give fixed. The kitchen manager was the only one who needed to get her attitude fixed because we weren't the ones who messed up some orders. We were very understanding but she just seemed so snippy, either way she didn't ruin our dinner because this place is amazing! I would definitely come back.

This is a friendly, low-key, fantastic brewery in a beautiful little mountain town. It really is great! Given the location next to the lake and at the foot of several mountains, the views are beautiful in all directions. Inside the brewery, the space isn't big but with high ceilings and huge windows it feels open and inviting. While brewery is in be name, the food should not be ignored. Solid bar food that was big on flavor and cooked extremely well. The burger and chopped beef sandwiches were both excellent. And of course ... the beer! Great offerings with a good variety. Like everything else, the beer is done right!

Gorgeous views, prompt and friendly service, and enough seating for our group of 8. And then the food! The food was better than expected! Even the children's Mac and cheese and chicken strips were delightful options. Exactly what we needed. Our 6-year-old daughter would specifically like to come back from Monday-Thursday from 2-6 pm for "Hoppy Hour," which she can only assume means the establishment will hide a whole bunch of Easter eggs for the children to find.

This is a great brewery! Classic open air high ceilings and loads of windows in main bar area take in the scenery. Nice outdoor patio with an upper deck for viewing the lakes and playing corn hole. Food was great! If you want a crispy pizza, get it on the cauliflower crust. Just fantastic! Great selection of in-house beers just like a good brewery should have! And Helena is fantastic at making you feel welcome and taking care of your needs. We'll be back!

We enjoyed the view from the outdoor tables but the service was very slow. Just getting up to the counter to order and get our beer took about 15 minutes. Then we waited almost an hour for the food to arrive. We were there about 1pm on a Thursday and it was packed. But the smash burger and tots were very tasty as was the beer. Just don't go at lunchtime or be prepared to wait.

This place was great! Food was amazing and the view is great. Quick service and very enjoyable.

By far my favorite restaurant in the area, they have a great selection of craft beer and we tried several entrees there and enjoyed them. The patio is great also, the weather was very nice and we enjoyed the view of Lake Georgetown. They even had live music while we were there.

This one pains me to write. What happened to this place? Cabin Creek Brewing sits on Lake Georgetown. The views are spectacular. The brewery has high cathedral-like ceilings and huge windows with a direct view overlooking the lake and mountains. They were voted best new brewery in Colorado in 2020. The beers they make are great. The beer here isn't the problem. It's the restaurant operations. Ultimately this place is a huge brewpub with an outdoor patio. It's not a small, neighborhood brewery. In my humble opinion, the food here has always been average. But more importantly, the customer experience has gone consistently downhill the last 3 times I've been here. We get it. You're a popular spot. Right off of I-70 in a popular mountain town where people come to hike and ski all year round. They've never had enough staff here. This place is HUGE. You can't have 3 people running around taking orders when you seat 130 people. I also think it's extremely tacky to have self serve water stations when you're paying for service. This place has a full bar, but you have to get your own water...For a place this high in elevation? I'm truly okay with the food being average. What I'm not okay with is them always being out of menu items. Every time I've been here, multiple items. They serve their wings with the sauce on the side, which I've never heard of before. Wings not being tossed in sauce is this normal? Yesterday the sheer amount of flies on tables was unbearable. And the fact no one did anything about it was just so irritating. Would you do this in your own house with company? Tables go unbussed for over 20 minutes and flies are swarming around and not a single employee sprayed it down with disinfectant. Eating our meal was like eating at a campsite. I've lived and breathed the service industry my entire life. I rarely write anything below 3 stars and always try to give the benefit of the doubt. These are all easy fixes. Luckily they make some good beer. With their prime location even if they neglect these suggestions they'll probably still be successful. It just seems like they couldn't care less about the customer experience. I really hope I'm the only one.

Really nice building, location, and staff. They have a large food menu for a brewery, lots of options so everyone in your party should be able to find something to their liking (get the pretzel with beer cheese!). Plenty of parking. Easy to enjoy a pre- or post-meal stroll around Georgetown Lake. Only drawback is, like most of Colorado's eateries, flies everywhere, even inside. It became a real nuisance and pretty unappetizing in the end, but it comes with the territory...still think I would take the amazing views and weather with some annoying flies around me over my hometown's humid swamp feel any day.

Went twice. Food was great. Beer is excellent. Service is terrible! You better order everything you need at once. If this place had good management it would be top notch. All the employees seemed uninterested in the job

We went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. It was a great vibe as they had live music playing and Oktoberfest activities. The only negative I can say is we got seated in the shade outside and it was quite windy, but don't let that detract from a reason to visit. We ordered the chips and queso to start, the chip to queso radio was lacking and it was eh okay. I got the burger with the onion jam and it was delish, though I would have like more of the onion jam and less arugula. My husband got the CBB cheesesteak and he said it was really good! The fries were crispy and delicious, a perfect fry in my opinion. He tried the gran masala pumpkin beer (don't remember the name) I had a few sips and it was yummy! Overall very cute brewery right next to some water, great place for a weekend lunch

Dope brewery right on lake Georgetown. Views are to die for. Awesome food and brews. Had the loaded Colorado tots and a flight. Service was good. They got packed. Tons of awesome merch also.

The location is beautiful and the concept is good with the indoor and outdoor area however the service and execution was horrible. We came on a busy Saturday, which we expected to be busy, but we waited in line for 45minutes just to order. When we got up to order they told us food was delayed over 1 hour. Normally totally understandable but you're letting people stand for 45 minutes without warning them? Then after we placed our beer orders, we were told to wait in another line for them. 3 other groups got their beers before us. So that added another 15 minutes into our wait. So basically 1 hour of waiting for no food and 1 beer. Mind you, each time you want a new drink you have to stand in that line if you are sitting outside (no servers or service outside that's why you have to order at the counter). Also there was no water in any of the water stations, no paper towels in the bathroom, unfriendly service. Overall just not a fun experience! They need more help behind the bar, more than 1 person taking orders, clearer communication on wait times. Probably will not be back which is disappointing because the location is great and I have been wanting to visit for a while. Don't understand how this place has so many good reviews. Maybe we just came on a bad day but it's just another Saturday in September.

Extremely slow service, unpleasant wait staff, cold food, no silverware and unsavory food. It's understandable that it was somewhat busy (though a big section was closed), but it took us 1/2 an hour to be greeted by our server and another twenty minutes to have our order taken. Finally 45 minutes to get our food (half the orders were hot and fresh and the others were cold on the inside due to being under the heat lamp). Cold, deep fried fish cooked in grease that need to be changed was not edible. Plus they brought the wrong sides out. Our waitress looked in a horrible mood and was extremely unpleasant. Great, trendy location that is as mismanaged as possible.

We stopped in after having lunch to grab some dessert and drinks. They have a great view of the water, but we were inside due to the rain. The kids enjoyed their ice cream with raspberry topping (I recommend this) and the key lime pie. I grabbed a flight of beers. The wait staff was great and the environment was friendly.

Really wanted to love this place after seeing a review on TikTok, the outside view is beautiful, on the lake couldn't ask for anything better, the gentleman waiting on us seemed as if we were inconveniencing him, we asked for a recommendation and he seemed so bothered, we ordered 2 apps and they came out, both were good, beer was good, my Bloody Mary lacked flavor. He never came back to check on us so we never got to order food! After waiting for so long and being ignored I got over it, got up and went to look for him so I could pay and get out of there, he brought the machine up to me to pay, left it on the counter for me to finish and walked away!!! No thank you, nothing!! I regret leaving the tip but as I also work in service I couldn't do that to him, at the end of my experience it left me feeling as if my skin color had a lot to do with the lack of service, never have I felt that until this experience!

5/5 on ToGo/takeout service - because the staff was working hard for the holiday weekend. The Colorado tots are actually a MUST - the host recommended them on out Togo order and the family was not disappointed as a quick app. We had 2 pizzas the Thai and chicken - pretty good for a day out in Georgetown. Would definitely come again for lunch after a hike. P.S. they had live music, which I always enjoy - good vibes while waiting for my order to come out :)

The Thai Chili Chicken pizza was amazing! Service was a bit slow but once we were acknowledged the staff was kind. Definitely seems to be a locals place and we were just in town for the weekend. Large space, they had live music which is always a plus, and based on the posters around the place it looks like they host a lot of events.

My sister and I ate here while visiting the railroad and what a delicious meal with good beer! We ordered the elk bratwurst & cabin burger. My sister decided she just had to have a piece of Reeses Pie! Our waiter was super nice and even gave us some history tips about the area. We will definitely be back some day hopefully!

We headed home from skiing and were looking for somewhere different to try than our same old stops and found this place. The menu looked interesting and had what seemed to be some modern takes on comfort food: burgers, fries, tots, etc. It wasn't too busy for 2pm on a Sunday and we were hungry! Service was meh, seemed somewhat uninterested in us and then perked up once we started a chat when they brought the bill. Convenient, huh . We each ordered a chopped beef sandwich, which, while the Big MC had some flavor, both were seriously lacking in meat. Each were just about 2 oz of ground hamburger buried under a bun and cheap toppings. And it was more $ than the 7oz burger on the menu. What a disappointment . Not sure we'll be back here again. The location is absolutely beautiful stunning gorgeous. The service was pretty good. But there was a hair in my lemonade that's about it.
