"Tucked into some 150 acres in the Adelaide Hills, two pod-style cabins supply simple luxury less than an hour from Adelaide CBD. The remote, off-the-grid cabins feature natural timber, Scandinavian vibes, and huge windows prime for spotting kangaroos, bandicoots, and kookaburras passing by. Spend days wine tasting in famed McLaren Vale or bush walking in the Kuitpo Forest (both nearby), returning to your cabin for optional add-on delights like a fire pack for keeping toasty and local wine and cheese. From $190 AUD per night." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Absolutely amazing and tranquil location, with amazing views from the remote and luxurious cabins. Getting there is part of the fun, driving through the farmland to then see the cabins and view of cabin|We checked in to our cabin, which was absolutely stunning, and found a complimentary welcome pack including breakfast (bacon, eggs, bread, butter) along with Olives and a bottle of wine. The cabin had everything needed for a quiet and relaxing stay. with deluxe quality amenities including heating & cooling, Bluetooth speaker, indoor and outdoor seating, and the through the panoramic windows in the sauna. The window above the bed allows a great view of the stars overnight. Truly amazing.

Stayed for 3 nights in Eddie. |Loved the idea of this, but there are definitely some minor adjustments that were overlooked. ||Starting with good points: |Incredible views|Peaceful and surrounded by nature, waking up to wallabies and sheep at the door was a novelty |There was a lovely welcome pack with supplies waiting for us, including breakfast items and some snacks from island producers. |The sauna and skylight are really cool, as well as lots of opportunities to spend time outside on deck with various seating arrangements |Very comfortable bed |Private beach close by ||Negative points: ||We arrived on a hot day and the cabin was full of flies. This meant fumigating before we could unpack, then vacuuming. Unfortunately the vacuum was not charged. |There was only empty boxes in place of teas left in cupboards. |The floor had crumbs left on it |Candles for repelling the flies or mosquitoes would have been helpful |Lack of storage space, we used the sauna to store luggage |Proximity to other areas/shops. Unsure how another reviewer concluded that it was close to pubs and shops, it’s a 30 min drive to nearest facilities. Road is particularly dangerous at dusk. |Missing simple things like tissues ||Having stayed in other locations on the island, I think this is slightly overpriced given location and housekeeping standards.

CABN X St Albans was nothing shy of a 10/10. It is set in the most beautiful, remote part of nature, overlooking a stunning segment of the Kangaroo Island Coastline. We spent our evenings and mornings watching the sun rise and set over rolling hills scattered with sheep, kangaroos and bluebirds. The cabins were quaint and deigned to have everything you need whilst still having that off grid feel. They were clean, well stocked and felt like luxury meets camping. The staff went over and above for us. They were always reachable by mobile if we needed it. I would recommend CABN X to anyone for a stay.

It felt like we were the only two people on the island when we were in the cabin - but we were so close to pubs, shops and attractions. Absolutely loved the cabin and the complete relaxation that I felt there. I highly recommend CABN X Kangaroo Is - and their breakfast package.

Stunning location and incredibly tranquil. Absolutely loved the sauna and the outdoor bathtub on the deck. Loved kicking back on the deck watching the sun go down and the kangaroos hopping about. Truly hope I get the opportunity to come back!

Cape St Albans is such a beautiful relaxing part of the world. We spent 2 days there, and wish it was longer. |We loved walks on the deserted beach & around the property. We walked toward the lighthouse on the property watching sheep & kangaroos & the view over the ocean. It was very relaxing & such a great way to unwind. The Cabn was amazing, so luxurious with the gorgeous bathroom & sauna. The bed was really big & really comfortable & the kitchen so well appointed. |We did a trip to the KIS gin distillery for lunch & stopped in to a couple of local wineries to buy wine for our dinner. We swam off the beach & relaxed on the sand with the beach towels provided. |We used the Webber Q, and ate on the deck with the most amazing view, the sunset was stunning & after dark the stars took up the whole sky. Fabulous trip, highly recommend.

The location is amazing and secluded, no neighbors around. Loved the higher up bed placement and lot of pillows for our comfort. |A little worry about the amount of space faded away after seeing how absolutely incredibly the space was planned and utilised. |I saw a review highlighting bugs which got me thinking of what l might need to bring - nothing to worry about. Fly screens allow to have a good night sleep with a breath of fresh air. We have encountered a bug or two in the storage drawers but they didn’t show any interest in us. Not to forget these beautiful surroundings come with a little but of wild life as well, even bunnies. We absolutely loved and had a lot of fun watching all the visitors. To add to all of this, we could enjoy the sunset straight from the bed. The wine we tasted was beautifully crafted. ||The only thing we had to do to enjoy all of the above is to clean some dust accumulated on low-touch surfaces such as aircon shutters, fen and window frames. Wasn’t a hassling but rather unexpected wipe up. ||My at first very skeptical partner said would come again.

Arriving through the stunning eucalypt arches, you feel you’re about to experience something very special and you won’t be disappointed! The views are mesmerising, the cabin so luxurious and then you discover the very generous and delicious provisions along with deluxe quality amenities. Lavish linen, heating, cooling, Bluetooth speaker -all your creature comforts are provided. Enjoy the wonderful wildlife, walks and wineries and then return to view golden sunsets while soaking in the bath (both inside or outside) and/or also watching the roos at dusk through the panoramic windows in the sauna. Truly astonishing. 4 days and nights was simply not long enough for me. The compendium was very informative and the cabnx crew very prompt in responding to queries. I would not hesitate to return and enjoy it all again. Thank you CABNX-KI.|Tip: CABNX supply is very generous, bring extra Nespresso Vertuo Pods if you drink lots of coffee like myself :)
