Skip chipotle, come to Cabo Bob's for freshly pressed tortillas and quality food. Tortillas are nice and flavorful, the beans are cooked well, filling was seasoned well. My issue is the brown rice was slightly under done so some grains were hard when eating. But the vegetables were cooked well otherwise. Great value for the meal and honestly a good spot to return to.

Cabo Bob’s is hands down one of the best spots for burritos! The burritos are absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and customizable options that let you create your perfect meal. The variety of tortillas and fillings really set them apart. On top of that, the atmosphere is super chill and welcoming—perfect for grabbing a bite with friends or just relaxing after a long day. The staff is always friendly and efficient, making the experience even better. If you’re a burrito lover, Cabo Bob’s is a must-visit!

Google
Thought I was coming for a run of the mill taco place. Little did I know how good it is. Good - price - meat selection and taste - lots of free/included toppings. The grilled veggies were good - freshly pressed tortillas - fish was really good - chip quality is good - good selection of soft drinks Could use work - sauce needs some more kick - brisket wasn’t great. Little to shredded. Had a texture like pulled pork.

Manager is super rude and unhelpful, from working in fast food I can tell she is the type to sit and watch people work. No employee there likes her. She gets lazy with serving sizes for online orders to cut corners and said it was the same size as I point out the clearly much bigger burritos with less filling in them than I ordered. Even the employees agreed I had a small burrito for what I ordered. Burnt tortilla too management sucks foods usually good though. I ordered extra rice extra beans poblano peppers onions cabbage lettuce mango pico and the sauces didn’t even come on the side when i ordered. The order was also 10 mins late than it said it would probably because of the quiet lazy manager.

This food was amazing for catering a large party of family. 19 people and almost everyone could go back for 2nds and 3rds! Everyone was pleased. The chicken was tender enough for my baby and the beans were delicious.

Google
I frequent this Cabo Bob’s so often I’m basically part of the decor at this point. Every Saturday? I’m there. Random Tuesday? Probably there too. This isn’t just food, it’s an emotional experience. I could genuinely sob tears of joy after every bite. The flavors? Otherworldly. The vibes? Immaculate. This specific location? A spiritual sanctuary. No other Cabo Bob’s compares. It’s like being hugged by a tortilla-wrapped angel. If loving this place is wrong, I don’t want to be right.

Overall a good experience. I tried it for the very first time. The veggie bowl with the Ancho Chili tortilla on the side was a really good option for vegetarians.

• First time here!! I enjoyed the food!! • Love that the tortilla is freshly pressed. Cilantro 🌿 tortilla is so mew to me. It tastes good, the aroma is amazing!! Definitely recommend this if you have not tried cilantro tortilla. • The salsa/sauce I got doesn’t hit the spot. Maybe I need some more or add other variety. • The guacamole is really fresh, however make it a little more flavorful would be great!! Nice place, have outside table to enjoy the food.

Yelp
This spot was PACKED! They did a really nice job keeping the line moving. This location is close to campus so there's lots of students. There is indoor and shaded outdoor seating. The vibes are super fun vw can/surfer esque. In concept this is very similar to chipotle but so much better in delivery! You can get tacos, burritos, bowls, salads and nachos. You can build your own or order off 10 pre built options. It's very loud so it's nice to do the pre built options. They make all the tortillas fresh and in front you which is super fun. The burritos are HUGE! For chips and salsa you get a choice or red or green salsa. I ordered the #10 burrito (veggies) and loved it. The red salsa was delicious (tasted like medium spice) and the chips are a thicker denser flour style which I really liked! They are not a GF facility but do have GF tortillas and chips if you're intolerant but not allergic.

Yelp
Cabo Bob's or Babo Cob's? Heh, in my culture, the word "Babo" means dimwitted fool! So the question of the hour: was this burrito Cabo or Babo?!? Well, first off, I ordered a burrito but if you look at the picture attached below, it looks like a loaf of bread! EGAD! I thought they swindled me into ordering a loaf of bread! Fortunately, it was just the outer exterior of the flavorlicious cilantro and tomatillo tortilla! What a blast! My friend and I were having a competition of who can finish the burrito in the least amount of bites. I finished the burrito in 10 bites, triumphantly defeating my friend who took 10.5-11 bites, but my sore loser fibbing friend (Caleb) kept claiming it was 10.5 bites so I had to teach him a lesson on what happens to liars/haters/babos. (I started making gagging noises while he was eating so he started gagging, but then his gagging made me nauseous and so I started actually gagging and then it started a positive feedback loop of the two of us gagging at each other). Burrito was alright, but it was a tad bit lacking in flavor. My Babo friend Caleb was yapping about some "I wish Cabo would make a Dallas location" (we were at the Austin location) but honestly, they can stay in Austin!!! (Jk jk come to Dallas pwease!) 4 stars!

Yelp
I really wanted to keep giving this location a shot, but I just can't anymore. The whole experience is consistently chaotic, and while I can see the manager running around trying to hold things together, it's just not translating into better service or food quality. I placed an online order (because walking into this place is pure mayhem--crowds everywhere, people shouting orders, confusion at the counter), and I got a text saying it was ready. I know better by now, so I waited a few minutes before starting my 10-minute walk over. By the time I arrived, the line was out the door. I politely made my way through to pick up my "ready" order... only to find it wasn't actually ready at all. I stood there awkwardly trying to catch someone's attention--several staff members made eye contact but just looked away. No one acknowledged me. Eventually, the manager walked by and, in a clearly frustrated tone, muttered, "You'll get a text when it's ready." I responded, "I got one--almost 20 minutes ago." He looked at me and just kept walking. Nearly 30 minutes after that original text, someone finally asked for the name on my order and tossed a bag on the counter --no greeting, no apology. I mentioned that I also had a drink, and a child's cup was handed to me without a lid. That was it. The food? Greasy. Sloppy. And honestly, not worth the hassle or the attitude. I get that they're busy and close to campus, but being busy isn't an excuse for consistently poor service and disorganized operations. There are plenty of other places where I can spend my money and feel like a customer, not an inconvenience. I'm officially done with this location.

Yelp
A coworker insisted Cabo Bob's was better than Chipotle, so I finally gave it a try. The portion was good, but the chicken has a microwave taste, and the worst part is I almost ate a produce sticker! I'm so grossed out.
google avatar

Kristella B.

Yelp
I tell literally everyone I know visiting Austin to try Cabo Bob's at least once in their life. It's the infinitely better tasting version of Chipotle, plus it's cheaper and with bigger portions. Their chips and queso are my absolute favorite; my tip is to dip the chips into your queso, and let the excess fall onto your burrito--it's a game changer. I love the different tortilla flavors that they have, and that you can mix flavors too. Their ordering system makes the most sense too because there are ingredient labels that you can point to rather than having to shout over the noise to the workers. Everything always runs smooth in here, even during lunch and dinner rushes. Tables are always clean and utensils are always stocked. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Yelp
Drive thru services only available online - had to go inside to order but service was pretty fast. Tried their Cabo Fish taco plates which was okay - the taste was pretty good but there was hardly any cabbage with a few breaded fish. Next time I will definitely try their famous burritos!
google avatar

Yelp
Cabo Bob's is a good staple restaurant for students! It tastes great, quantity is huge, and it's pretty cheap. I forgot to take a photo of my burrito, but it was ginormous - it was 2 meals for me. The shredded pork, grilled chicken, and crispy fish are delicious choices of protein, and you can choose between 2 types of tortillas. The line can be really long, especially during the weekends, but if you're able to go during a weekday, it's really delicious! There's a lot of seating, inside and out, but it can be loud, especially if it's busy.

Yelp
I love this place. If im ever getting food out it is one of my top choices. The food is really good, and they have plaques on the window between you and the food with labels so you can point at the name of what you want to order instead of yelling it, since sometimes the environment can get noisy. I also like the colors and layout of the restaurant and the shirts that they have. I just tried it for the first time in the Summer and since then ive been maybe 3 other times (over the course of like 9 months). I would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Cabo Bobs is a UT classic and safe to stay I've been sleeping on it. After making a long trek in the cold and rain, we arrived on a Saturday night and the line ran outside the door. Thankfully it moved fast. Except fast dining for ambiance- clean but casual. I made my own bowl and got the crispy fish as my protein. Absolutely loved it! Everything was a powerful explosion of flavors and went down easy. I'd definitely recommend their mango pico and chipotle crema.

Yelp
So so good. The line was out the door on a saturday noon time but the line moved quick and we were ordering within 25 minutes. This is my kind of place, delicious food, great fun chill vibe, amazing value with great food for the price. The burritos bowls were so delicious, fresh ingredients and just a great experience. It was just a *fun* atmosphere here on a sunny weekend day. I also liked the drink selection, although I wish they had regular sweet tea as well, but no big deal. Everything was so tasty, and plenty of leftovers were such a bonus. I LOVE CABO BOBS
google avatar

Yelp
Horrible. Has gone extremely downhill. Ordered online and they must have flipped instructions: less beans when i asked for double and more rice when i asked for less. The rice wasn't cooked all of the way and still grainy and unflavored. The chicken is heavily salted. And of course, the burrito portion feels quite small. It lacked complete flavor -- something you can get from cooked your own food at home with a seasoning packet. Won't be coming back. Also, ordered double chicken and washed my money...
google avatar

Yelp
I don't know why Cabo Bob's doesn't get more hype!!! It's the best place for burrito bowls. It is consistent and I know I will be satisfied every time I go. My go-to is the fried fish burrito bowl and a lot of lime juice and all the toppings!
google avatar

Moo Sun K.

Yelp
The good: It's my favorite place to go on campus for a good cheap hearty meal. Burritos are massive and taste delicious and fresh for only like 8-10 bucks. You could even split it into two meals. The bad: everyone and their mom is here especially during lunch and in the evenings. Really long lines. Also when you come at like 8:30pm you start to notice that this place gets really dirty with how many people that come here. Meh: kind of a ways away from campus but the walk is always nice.

Yelp
I've been one Cabo Bob's and I love it!! I come here all the time and everything is so good! The steak & chicken burrito is great, the ingredients taste fresh! It's a better chipotle and I LOVE it!!! The only downside tot his location is that it gets super busy around rush hour with the line out of the door. But it's worth it every time I go!!
google avatar

Aleeza A.

Yelp
For the $10 price and size of burrito this spot was worth a try. Tortilla was very flavorful, however I'm not sure if it's bc we went close to closing but ordered the brisket and they barely put any meat in the burrito so it was mainly just sour cream and rice the whole time.
google avatar

Olivia S.

Yelp
The line is always long for a reason. Delicious food of great quality. They stuff the burritos to baby weight so I always have leftovers. Fresh pressed tortillas, and seafood options. Love this socal spot. A few tvs so you can catch a game while chowing down
google avatar

Yelp
Wow these are truly incredible tacos! I loved the fish and the fresh tortillas. The queso was also very good. The service was very friendly and smooth for how many customers were there. There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors on the covered patio.

Zee K.

Yelp
The food was as excellent and exceeded all my expectations as much as the service. Ingredients were fresh, and lots to choose from. I opted for the steak bowl and filled it with veggies, beans and lots of sour cream. This establishment is a perfect quick pick up location and would definitely stick around for a lunch hang as it is very inviting, lively and clean. Definitely recommend trying their different tortilla flavors and multiple combination possibilities!

Yelp
Thank you Sal, for reaching out to me and apologizing and refunding me my full ticket. You didn't have to do that. I do understand it was a very busy night for you guys as well. Thank you for all that you do sir.

Yelp
Brought one of my coworkers with me for lunch that had not been here. I've eaten here a few times it's always good always fresh can't go wrong brought him to experience and he loved it. He will definitely be back. Location was clean. Everything was moving quickly. Always a pretty steady, solid customer service experience and product is always fresh.

Yelp
BEWARE OF PARKING IN THE LOT ACROSS THE STREET, YOU WILL BE BOOTED AND HAVE TO PAY $100. Owner of Counter Cafe hired scumbag Central Parking Enforcement to patrol lot. I parked there for 5 minutes while Door Dashing and had to pay the fine. Parking enforcer is there watching so be careful

Yelp
As a an annual visitor to ATX, visiting this establishment is a must! Why you might ask? Unlike their counterparts, Cabo Bob's offer a wider range of flavors in terms of building out your taco, salad, or burrito. Your taste profile can expand from Mexican to Caribbean flavors. Adding the tangy sauce of bbq to the mix, you have a wide spectrum of choices on how your meal will be served. Having the Cumcumber mango salsa in addition to the traditional salsa is awesome. With the creama paired with the spicy tangy bbq sauce further level up the taste buds. I also like the unique sitting options for the patrons. Internal decor further removes guest from their daily norm. It's decorated with a beach, Caribbean vibe that the family enjoys. Service was a bit tricky though. There were slight communication issues since they barely spoke English. Nether-less, we made it to the finish line and got our specific orders. Fish tacos here is amazing btw. I would recommend it. Can't wait to visit again. :)

Yelp
I've had Cabo Bob's for catering and liked it, but never considered going there for lunch until a colleague convinced me to go, calling it "surprisingly good," citing the fresh tortillas and overall quality. After looking at the menu online and noticing it was really affordable, I headed there for lunch. I remembered having an average size burrito from a catered event, but what you get here as regular sized burrito is insane. The burrito was the size of my head and I brought half home. I wasn't expecting Texas sized portions from a California place, but here we are. They have more overall options (without markup) than Chipotle, like grilled poblano, onions, and squash, all of which were delicious, brown rice, and three kinds of beans. Veggie is a lesser-priced option. It was also less salty than Chipotle, which is likely the closest competitor. The chips are thick style, and good, although I wasn't wild about the green salsa. (It was California hot, not Texas hot.) I also thought the chipotle crema with the burrito was forgettable, but I'll try a different one next time. Drinks aren't crazy marked up, and include cane sugar soda and lemonade, unsweet tea, and sweet mint tea, REAL brewed tea! Kids meals are $6 and include chips and queso. Very friendly and attentive staff.
google avatar

Jacob M.

Yelp
Cabo Bob's is alternative to Chipotle and boasts massive portions for their orders. I've purchased a burrito both times, and I think the VALUE is definitely there. You could easily make two meals out of one burrito with all their toppings. That being said, I have unfortunately had two really mediocre burritos. The rice is awkwardly stuffed to one end of the burrito, and the flavors of the meat and veggies isn't very pronounced - fairly bland. The staff was polite and it is definitely a busy atmosphere. Cabo Bob's is somewhere I'd go if I need to get full and not spend too much doing it, but I'd never choose to go for taste alone.

A G.

Yelp
WHERE'S THE CHEESE? Don't order online! Literally no cheese on my taco and I paid for extra cheese! Plenty of cabbage, but NO CHEESE! Who in the world sells tacos with no cheese? Total rip off.
google avatar

Oliver T.

Yelp
I agree with the other reviewers. The fish taco is incredible and it's the best I've ever had. Tortilla is made from scratch. Fish is perfect and all the ingredients are fresh. And the price is very reasonable as well. What a great gem Austin has!
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
Cabo Bob's Burritos, where do I even begin. The love I feel for this place is immeasurable. If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would. This place is probably my favorite restaurant in all of Austin. If you like chipotle or Mexican food in general and you haven't been here yet, you're missing out big time! I love their fish burrito, I don't order exactly how it is on the menu but it's pretty similar. What's nice about Cabo Bob's is that it's just like chipotle where you get to select your ingredients down a line like a build your own burrito, and if you're unsure with what you want they do have a menu you can order from. Their ingredients are super fresh, they have a great sauce selection, and a variety of meats to choose from. I try to always visit at least once every time I'm back in Austin, I highly recommend trying them out!
google avatar

Kira R.

Yelp
Great people, great food. Love them & very special place in Austin. Lots of meat and vegetables options too.
google avatar

Chelsea L.

Yelp
Great, affordable place for burritos close to UT campus! If you want to mix the tortillas, you can combine two! I got cilantro and queso. Got the fish burrito with pinto beans, pico, queso, brown rice, and lettuce! The burrito is huge-I can never finish it for one meal. Luckily, they have to-go containers and bags readily available. The also have soda fountain drinks-I love the iced tea. There is parking and indoor/outdoor seating.

Yelp
My family and I decided to pick up Cabo Bobs after visiting the University of Texas. My husband placed the order online while we were on campus. By the time we walked to our vehicle and drove to Cabo Bobs our order was ready. I noticed that they had outside seating. After picking up our food we drove home. I ordered the Nachos Brisket and was able to make it how I wanted it. It included tortilla chips, brisket, brown rice, black beans, fresh onions, tomatillo salsa, guacamole with a chipotle crema. The queso for the nachos was on the side as well as the chipotle crema. This was good because it didn't make the nachos soggy. After opening the container adding queso and chipotle crema on the nachos I tried them. The nachos were tasty. I could taste the brisket when I was able to get some on a chip. The chips were strong and thick which is great when you are adding ingredients on top of them. The mix of the other ingredients in the nachos made a good meal. It was enough for two servings if one serving was too much. Overall it was fast and easy service with a tasty meal.

Yelp
These are the best fish tacos I have ever eaten. That is saying a lot. I have eaten a lot of fish tacos. We are visiting the Austin, Lampasas area to watch the eclipse in a few days and boyfriend who lived in Austin a decade ago wanted to take a tour of the best places he had lunch while he worked here. That is why we are at Cabo Bob's. This place is hopping with a young professionals and working people. The staff is quick and polite and we got fresh food fast. I especially liked the mango salsa. The tortillas are heated/cooked or whatever you call it on a round heating plate fresh... I'm sure the other dishes are fantastic too.

Julie T.

Yelp
We had Cabo Bob's cater a graduation event for 20ish and it was perfect. The delivery was seamless and the food was delicious! This was for my son's graduation weekend and Cabo Bob's was always a spot they would have dinner. It only seemed fitting!
google avatar

Hammond H.

Yelp
The pork (Carnitas) burrito it my "go to" choice at CB's. Although, I have tried all of their proteins in burritos. They make their burrito & taco tortillas fresh. The mango salsa with a splash of lime juice goes on everything I eat here. Awesomeness ‍ This is by far the best burrito that I have tried in Austin. Note: If there is one better, please let everyone know. They are huge and I can usually get a couple of meals out of a burrito. So, I highly recommend Cabo Bob's for your next TexMex burrito or bowl fix.
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
My favorite taco spot in Austin! Very authentic! The tacos are just right, but the burritos are surprisingly huge. If you're really hungry, I highly recommend the burrito!
google avatar

Esther B.

Yelp
We had just landed from our trip from Mexico and we wanted something quick .... Cabo Bob's was on our way home and decided to stop! I saw a line and though it was a good sign and sure enough it was! The burritos were huge and tasty! It's like Chipotle but Cabo Bobs has real tortillas and with flavor! I would of taken a picture but I was so hungry :) It's a great place. I'll stop by again and try the different salsas that I think would add the flavor I was looking for in my steak burrito! If you love Chipotle, you're going to love this place much more! ( I ordered a steak burrito with the cilantro tortilla)
google avatar

Stephanie T.

Yelp
As good as a California burrito and the best one I've had in Austin living here almost 2 years. Go for it!
google avatar

Jonathan K.

Yelp
Chipotle...but a little different, maybe a little better? Once difference is in the tortillas (if ordering a burrito), because they have 3 different kinds! Then you add whatever toppings your heart desires. They have a greater selection of toppings than what Chipotle offers, which is fun to try! One option that caught my eye was cabbage haha. Flavor is good, and burrito tastes cohesive, but definitely not the best burrito you'll ever have. Price is extremely reasonable, as it is catered towards hungry college students. They also give you a huge portion of food. Good stop if you're hungry and want to try extra toppings on a Chipotle-esque burrito!
google avatar

Kayley R.

Yelp
Recently discovered Cabo Bob's! I was blown away by the quality of the meats, freshness, and taste. The chipotle crema is delicious! Love that they have roasted poblanos, squash, and nachos. Fast service. Highly recommend this over Chipotle!
google avatar

Yelp
On today's first visit to Cabo Bob's, I really enjoyed my grilled chicken with white rice on a smoky cheddar burrito. I enjoyed it so much that I was halfway through it before I noticed that it wasn't the shredded pork with brown rice I had ordered. Something must have gone sideways with their assembly line system, but who am I complain when I have finally found the burrito joint of my dreams? The burritos are fresh, tortillas made right in front of you, delicious, if today was an indication, and BIG. And the price is more than fair, especially for the quality and quantity you get. I get annoyed at the proliferation of $13-15 half-assed burritos in this overpriced town. And they have an interesting collection of sodas, Cabo Bob branded. I'll be back--soon!--to try the other flavors. Maybe even the pork I ordered today. I hope whoever got that one enjoyed it as much as I did their chicken.

Yelp
Ordered a number 7 with cilantro and sour cream, barely talking, just holding up seven fingers to the workers. I was like a pig at the trough. My jaw was a machine to process calories. Not a single rational thought entered my head as I ate outside with the roaring wind, surrounded by family and potential friends all of whom melded into my subconscious as my focus lasered in on the burrito. When I finished, the world returned.

Yelp
Went here on a Friday night after work, partly because the line was out the door. I looked at the line and realized that nearly every customer looked like they were in or just out of UT. That should have even my first clue. I ordered a fish burrito on an ancho tortilla. It was ok at best. The toppings were all doled out as if I was at Chipotle. A scoop of each thing, glopped on without paying much attention to where it was on the tortilla. The fish was cold, overcooked, and soggy. Burrito was bursting at the seams, which is probably why the college kids seem to like it. Because the ingredients were thrown on without being spread around, I got a bite that was all lettuce, a bite that was all pico de gallo, and a bite that was all...JALAPEÑOS. It was pretty bad. Hungry as I was, I threw away about half of it. The redeeming menu item was the queso. It wasn't great compared to other quesos in Austin, but it did have some flavor. Chips were super greasy, which might be explained by the fact that the cashier was scraping the bottom of the chips dispenser to get my serving. Queso nowhere near enough to get me back there. There are so many great places in Austin to eat tacos. Choose one of those.

Yelp
We. Love. Cabo. Bob's!! Do not let the long line, or lack of parking deter you - Cabo Bob's is a must! It is less than $10 for a build your own burrito or bowl (think Chipotle), and the portions are definitely filling. There is indoor and outdoor seating, dog friendly, and super nice employees - what more could you ask for! Hint - get some limes to squeeze over your burrito or bowl, it just adds an extra something special ;) Give Cabo Bob's a try - you will not regret it!

Yelp
Move over Chipotle, and make room for Cabo Bob's! Very busy establishment, after walking in I see why. Fast and friendly staff, food piping hot. Best part got 3 punched in one visit! I'll be back very soon

Yelp
Man this never disappoints!! I always love coming over here! Big shout out to Gabe for his customer service and attention to detail.
google avatar

Bella G.

Yelp
There were so many options for toppings I was surprised by the selection. I usually get burritos at Chipotle and there aren't a lot of toppings to choose from but at Cabo Bob's, you can customize the tortilla and have options ranging from cilantro to mango pico to grilled zucchini. I feel like with whatever add-ins you choose, you can't go wrong because everything is so tasty ‍

Yelp
This my new go to Mexican place. Sorry chipotle! This place is great and the staff are really good and efficient at their jobs even during peak hours. Food is delicious. I already can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Pretty reliable restaurant. Great chips and queso, super fresh tasting. The salad is pretty basic not much to it! Love how they have different tortilla flavors and how they make them fresh! Great service, a quick stop if needed!

Yelp
Great service. Great burritos. Lovely workers and clean place. Very clean and nice. Would go back a million times

Yelp
I ordered from Cabo Bob's for the first time today and unfortunately didn't get what I ordered. I ordered veggie tacos and received this gigantic burrito instead. I ate a few bites, and it wasn't really good, so it didn't get eaten. The chips and queso were great, and I'd eventually like to have some tacos, but what can you do.
