We had a very good experience at this great venue staff were very friendly and attentive. The large margaritas were right size for my wife. The nice cold coronas were right for me. The food was good and certainly good for your needs. Thank you to the staff for your great service and we would definitely recommend this place for a cold drink and feed.

Food quality is on par with the Santa Monica restaurant. Service is on par with Santa Monica restaurant. The atmosphere is like the Santa Monica restaurant, it's like beach style, tiki room, and zany style. They use the same menu and have the same happy hours, 4-8 pm daily. Between Sunday and Thursday they have late night happy hour from 10:30-12:30 pm. Oh, this place has a DJ and Santa Monica restaurant doesn't. I just noticed the difference.

Went in for drinks and maybe food and turned out they had cheap drinks and a great Taco Tuesday deal. 2 tacos for $10 then its AYCE single tacos after the first 2. I had 4 tacos because they are good size. Adrian is a great bartender with a friendly manager Christian by his side making it work. We underestimated this place at first but after giving it a chance im happy we did.

Went Cabo Cantina on a Saturday night on a whim. The crowd was small but the fun was gigantic. First the margaritas were huge! 3 1/2 shots the waitress said. They use patron and I have to say a $24 margarita never tasted so good. I got the regular and my friend got the Cosmopolitan. We’d like to have added chips but the kitchen was closed. Seems like chips at a Mexican restaurant shouldn’t require the kitchen be open but I get it. It was after 12am already. The music the DJ was playing was spot on. It was video mixing the greatest hip hop and r&b of the 90 and 2000s. The stuff everyone knows the words to. I was looking around and would catch people singing along and since I’m being honest I was too. So for a Saturday Night get out come with a few friends and turn up because after your margarita, and with the great music they’re playing you can’t help but turn up to a great time at Cabo Cantina.

Cabo Cantina in Hollywood is a great place to stop if you’re exploring the Walk of Fame. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, perfect for tourists or a casual hangout. The Mucho nachos were really good—crispy, cheesy, and loaded with toppings. But the highlight? The margaritas! They’re massive, refreshing, and pack a punch. Got the quesadilla with shrimp which I don’t normally do, but it was really tasty. Our waiter was awesome, he had a little sass which I appreciated, and he gave really good recommendations. It’s definitely a fun spot to relax and people-watch while enjoying good food and drinks. Overall, a solid experience in the heart of Hollywood!

The food was good and the drinks are huge, however don’t feel very strong. Atmosphere was okay. Felt more like resturant than bar. Still. A good night. Good service. Lots of self seating.

It was a great place - didn’t get a drink (their happy hour specials were GREAT) - but ordered the salsa and queso dip for apps - the salsa was delicious and had a kick to it. I got the Barrio burrito (was vegetarian) and it was a HUGE portion. It was cut in half and I only ate one half of it. The staff were very attentive and checked on our table often. Overall- great food and service!

We were walking along Hollywood Blvd and got hungry. This was the first place we came upon so gave it a try. The waitress was less than friendly and didn't seem happy we showed up. When getting attitude the entire time we were ordering it was great to have someone else bring out the food and actually seem to be appreciative that we were eating and enjoying the food. I had the steak quesadilla and it was amazing. My wife had a burrito and it also was very good. The portions were huge and neither of us could finish it all Overall the attitude from the waitress brought down what could have been a really good meal.

Popped in for a couple of margaritas along the Hollywood Walk of Fame. These guys have the same owners as Jameson's next door. So, some of the 2-for-1 happy hour deals are similar, but it's a totally different vibe. This place has a very "party like you're on vacation" energy. The tunes are cranked up like you are at a beach bar or on a cruise. They have so many different kinds of margaritas that it is difficult to choose one. We had a great time chatting with our bartender and sippin' some drinks.

Came here to watch the Eagles Rams game at 10 am one Sunday. Bottomless mimosas for $20! There seemed to be only 1 server, but she was great! It is a Steelers bar, but they're willing to give you a close view of any game you want. Good service, good vibes. A+!

If I could give Cabo Cantina Hollywood 10 stars, I absolutely would! The service here is unmatched, and the margaritas are hands down the best in town. We had such an unforgettable Labor Day experience. Huge shoutout to our amazing server Erica -- hardworking, attentive, and full of great energy. And of course, to the incredible bartender Daniel, who kept the good vibes and perfect drinks flowing all night Don't miss the "Muchos Nachos" -- they'll tell you it's for two people, but trust me, even with my appetite this was easily enough for four or five. Generous portions and every dollar is worth it at Cabo Cantina. And if you're celebrating a birthday here, get ready -- they'll treat you like a VIP celebrity from the moment you walk in. Thank you, Cabo Cantina, for making our Labor Day Monday beyond amazing. We'll be back again and again!

While visiting the LA area with my boyfriend we stumbled upon this hole the wall gem. We were greeted by the bartender Adrian and the manager Christian almost immediately after sitting. Mind you this was Dec 30th so they were very busy with Taco Tuesday orders so close to NYE. Nonetheless the food was pretty good, prices on point and the service was excellent. Great for affordable quick service we will come again!

Ah, Cabo Cantina, what to say, what to say. Perhaps I would liken this place to a Mexican themed TGI Fridays with the added bonus of being located on Hollywood Blvd so yeah the Times Square Fridays. Touristy, gimmicky, seedy elements just beyond lurking on the pavement. Marijuana drifting through the open patio doors where we sat but if you choose the patio you too can smoke. The HH here was two margaritas for the price of one but you can only chose one flavor. Quick hack, my companion chose one flavor, I chose another and then we just swapped. On round one we noticed that girls at the table next to us had better looking drinks because the bartender garnished them. We demanded garnishes on our next round dammit.

Went for late night happy hour on a Thursday night! Even though there's signs about food being available until close, that was not the case. Thankfully the bartender let us order some chips and salsa. Note if you want to take advantage of the 2 for 1, they have to be the same. There was a DJ there and he was great!

Great energy at this place! Came here after a long day and everyone who was there was looking for a good time. The theme of the place is like a nice dive bar. Makes you feel like you're on a tropical island even though you're not! The drinks here are 10/10 both in portion and getting the job done! Smooth and great tasting. The later at night it gets, the sketchier the neighborhood around so just be conscious of that. Other than that this is a great place to come to for some hype and fun!

The service is really good here. The food is not that good. It's ok, but a bit below average. The drinks are good though. They have a nice happy hour, but it doesn't include the margaritas.

As of 6/11/25 they've been SHUT DOWN DUE TO VERMIN INFESTATION & 3 major violations as of right now. If you call to verify their closure they will tell you "closed today due to remodeling". But it's actually due to VERMIN INFESTATION AND FORCED CLOSURE. Stay away! See pictures for violations

DO NOT PLAN A BIRTHDAY PARTY HERE The worst. Waitress took 20 minutes before taking our order. Then never brought my drinks. After another 15, i just went to the bar and got it myself. I Had invited 30 people there for my birthday so i got there early and held a booth in corner for the party. Another group walked in and asked if anyone was sitting there. I say sorry but yes. Then they came back and said the staff told them they could take it over. There were plenty of other open tables. No wonder, the staff here sucks. Went to Jamesons next door, the staff sang, brought me a free shot, they were the best! Forget this place, Jamesons is where it's at

Food is as you would expect it to be. 2 for one prices at happy hour amazing. Just came out with my fiancé to have a drink or two and happy hour came in clutch. Nice music, waitress was fast, in and out for a quick fun time.

The staff is great. My review is based off the food. I had the Barrio Burrito.. Although the food was cooked correctly, I ordered their plain cheese, rice and beans burrito: it tasted very generic. The cheese quality was not great, i did notice their carne asada nachos were more costly at this location than the one in west Hollywood. If you're really into burritos this definitely is less likely to your place. I wish they used queso fresco instead of the cheese they use, i also wish the rice more actually Mexican rice (the Spanish rice you see in Mexican restaurants). Im less likely to come here again, they staff here was great don't get me wrong, this time around i mainly came here for the food/burrito that is the reason for my rating!

The all-you-can-eat Christmas meal was both delicious and a wonderful gift to the community. This is something that struggling people in LA need during this time and ai appreciate Cabo Cantina for offering a $16 all-you-can-eat offer that other restaurants would not do. It is also a great place to watch a football game and the happy hour prices are reasonable. There are regular events and it is a great place to relax and make new friends. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone, especially those who love sports, margaritas, and real people, not the pretentious Hollywood types.

Not my usual pick of restaurants. Was in the area and someone from my group suggested this place due to not shaving to make a reservation. The metered street parking spots were full. Your best bet is to find parking on a side street. The area is very busy and touristy. We were offered seating right away and decided to dine outside. Our waiter was nice and friendly. My tacos and rice/beans were actually really good. The frozen strawberry margaritas were good (a little on the sweeter side).

I went here yesterday. Nobody was at the front to greet me, but i saw the sign that said " Open seating" so I sat down. waited 10 min then left and got lunch somewhere else. I went here again today, sat inside. tables were sticky. they took about 5 min to acknowlege I was there and take my order, which is odd since there were only 5 other people there. I ordered Tacos, chips and guac and a water.... They asked me if I wanted to pay right away, I declined since my tip would be based on their service and i had yet to see the service. They brought all the food but forgot my water. Food was tasty. Guac was fresh... but they never came back to check on me. I had to flag the waiter to get a refill and the check. He came over with the machine and asked for my card, He didn't tell me the total, he just wanted me to blindly hand over my card.... This place seems the just be a bunch of broski's haning out. the staff were very chummy with the broski's who seem to be friends/ regulars, but seem to neglect the other non- regular customers. 1 star- I won't be going back

The mega margs are fucking fire and the food is also so good. Even if it wasn't after a mega marg everything's good. The music and lighting in there is cool too. Nice service from the people working as well!

I would actually give 3 1/2 stars, the best part about the lunch meal we had for a family of four was the traditional classic margarita, and the two of them we got for our treat was really good. The shrimp fajitas and grilled fish tacos were just okay. We asked for the spicy version of salsa and it didn't meet our standards of a spicy salsa and my son's carne asada burrito was just okay. The decor and the restaurant is very nice, looks like a Mexican house and so all of that is great, except the food could have been couple of notchs better.

All you can eat tacos were amazing , margaritas were delicious as well. My review is about service, the girl who served us we had to call multiple times for napkins salsa and she just was not great with customer service she made it seem we were bothering her after spending 127$ here. She even stated they're always trying to fire her so she couldn't help us get a replacement drink due to it falling. When it came to checking out I was going to give her a cash tip. My girlfriend paid the card. She then said no tip that's kind of harsh. Mind you I've been a server I've been in that field of work, but for her to complain about not getting a tip not even knowing we were going to tip her in cash is ridiculous.

Excellent food at a decent price! The service was great as well. No air conditioning it seemed, but the food made up for it!

I received horrible service! I waited 15 minutes to be served. I then was told that I had to pay for service plus gratuity prior to consuming my drink or receiving service. Not once did anyone check on me to see if I was okay. I will never sevice this establishment again.

Came, had one drink and left. Didn't even try the food, but place seemed dirty and service was non existent. Update: the owner messaged me the following... "Hello Asia. Don't come back. Thank you." Just shows what kind of business this is, this is exactly what I figured the culture was like here - which is why we didn't even eat there. Also, a friend of mine had a shot of Jameson out of a dirty glass here. Save yourself and head over to mr. Tempo right down the street for excellent service and food!

Drinks: this place is 100% about the drinks. I got the strawberry margarita on the rocks and it was amazing 10 out of 10. It is important to know that there are four shots of patron tequila inside each drink and I definitely felt the liquor after. Foods: I got the surf and turf tacos, which were good and the mucho nachos which were decent. We came for Cinco de Mayo so the drinks were really the main focus. Highly recommend.

Stopped in for lunch while walking along Hollywood Boulevard. The music is great, the atmosphere lively, and the waitress was very attentive. Kudos also to the busboy for keeping our table nice and orderly throughout our meal. We ordered the chips & salsa to start (please note: there is a fee for these, not like some other places where it is free). We requested the mild salsa, but it did have a tad bit of a kick to it. The chips were good...with a little bit of extra salt to them, but that is how I like them. For our lunch selections we ordered the following: Barrio Burrito (vegetarian), Cantina Tacos (chicken) platter with the rice & beans. The barrio burrito was good....refried beans, cheese, flour tortilla. The hubby had the cantina tacos with chicken and said they were ok. I had the green flash margarita on the rocks with salt...and I must say it was delicious. Note, that things are extra here compared to other restaurants of this type. Rice & Beans don't necessarily come with the platter, they cost an extra $4.65 if you want. The chips & salsa are also extra at $4.89. Covid Guidelines for those interested: *Employees are masked up *Asked for proof of covid vaccination in order to sit inside Bathrooms for those interested: *All-Gender facilities Great music and it is loud, so be aware of this. You hear it upon entering, so no reason to complain later on in your review about how loud it was. I believe some of the reviews posted here are false and some of the negative reviews are not fair. This place is not race driven nor do they show racism of any kind, and there is no waiting in line or hostess selection on who can and cannot enter the bathroom. I'm actually perplexed at some of these farfetched reviews. Good food, great music, friendly waitstaff.....if I'm ever back in town again, I will be back. Thank you!

This place doesn't close at 2 they close at 1:30 and start kicking out at 1:35 The drinks are okay, the margs are too icy to enjoy so you need to get the normal iced ones. The music is DEAFENING, I get that bars are loud but it's so loud you have to shout in the persons ear next to you and you still might not hear them. The service was fine the waitress came by often enough. It's incredibly dirty here. I DIDNT like it 1/10 The music also sucked Just got this notification today 11/14 and I thought it was hilarious! I don't give many one star reviews so I know exactly who is contacting me. And no John i won't come back because I'm not a local and your establishment clearly sucks if this is how you handle negative reviews. This place is extremely hostile from customer service in person and online. Their drinks are okay, if you get their slushees it's super icy and might be difficult to drink. Their iced versions of the margs are much easier to drink. The music was not good, their DJ would play random songs and couldn't read the room so it was weird music selections one after the next. It's also extremely dirty everything was sticky. The waitress was really sweet though. Their security guards are awful, they don't do their jobs well because they're always distracted by getting danced on. The person who runs their Yelp page just loves to harass people who write reviews and send them mean messages after the fact ( guess who got one). 0/10 don't come here.

Our server was very very confused about their tequila selection. Who knows what we are drinking lol But still a great and fun experience! CARNE ASADE FRIES ARE A MUST! After drinking a mega margarita, loved my tequila sunrise version, the fries taste like the best thing ever!!!!! They are so creamy with cheese and piled with toppings! Margaritas are fun and yummy, lil sweet but you can customize! So many flavors to pick! It's a fun place to people watch and be on Hollywood boulevard! The vibe is that people want to party! Happy hour is a must!

Wife and i there for the second night for happy hour. A guy told me to remove my ball cap, its against the dress code, which is not indicated anywhere. Other people were wearing hats and caps too. My "ball cap" was just my Fiber optics company hat, nothing vulgar. We were at the bar, quietly watching the tv, minding our own business. The bar tenders were very nice. Never coming back.

Excellent service, environment and perfect crowd Saturday nights. Steelers and Lakers Fans Welcome! People around us ordered food, it looked and smelled amazing. Dj plays awesome music and switches up R&B, hip hop, 80s, Latino music. Kinda breezy at night right now, open windows kinda cool. Hosts are welcoming and very friendly. Grab a Margarita!!!

Happy Hour almost all day. We arrived before one of their happy hour cut offs at 8pm and we were still able to order 2 for 1 blended margaritas. The prices are on the spot reasonable. Now the margarita wasn't strong but still worth the price. One thing I do not like at any bar is the loud music, you can barely hold a conversation even though we were seated outside along the sidewalk.

Horrible attitude of the server. We just went in for drinks. Got a pina colada... it was horrible. It tweeted like spoiled pineapple juice. Abandon I asked for a regular margarita. She told me I had to pay for it before I got it (I had my friend sign so I could use the rest room) and she charged me for the mega marg and I didn't know this until they brought it out. Not willing to switch it or refund.

Not impressed. It's a Hollywood strip bar making their money on syrupy drinks. Corn elote was just a salty dry stick with lime power. Tacos were not "authentic " but edible. The server was charming enough but only came around once (place wasn't that busy). Ultimately it was a LA "Mexican Catina" with a sticky bar and expensive tequila drinks.

first of all, the bartender didn't even know that a cosmo doesn't have ice. second of all; the furniture is broken and I'm sticky rn and wet in a bad way. damn I really wanted to enjoy my time but nvm RIP

I love Cabo there drinks are pretty good not crazy priced and their happy hour is pretty good. The servers pass by pretty often to get drunk orders. From what I remember the ambiance was good and so was the music. It gets packed like crazy on weekends.I've gone here onTuesdays and it's pretty good. Not many people so you have more service. The drink sizes are pretty nice!!! The shots aren't crazy priced too! Try the mango margarita!

Do not come to this location. The servers are drunk and have no clue what they are doing. They will bring you drinks that you did not order and still want to charge you for it. The chairs are cheap and hurt when you sit on them. The whole place looks dirty and cheap. Also, check your bank statements after coming here we found extra charges from this place. They do not pick up their phones when trying to fix the problem. They will keep you on hold and when you call back they will continue to do so.

We tried their all you can eat taco tuesday. I have no complain with the food but the service is way tool long. The interval for each serving of taco will take more than 15 minutes . So 4 tacos will take you more than an hour stay in their place.

Came by on a Sunday after a lunch with friends. Bar hopping down Hollywood blvd we popped into Cabo Cantina. Decent size establishment, seat yourself type of setting and the music is popping. I can't say that I am much of a fan of the drinks but since margaritas are their thing, I had to get me a Cadillac. The place has a decent variety of entrees and a lot of appetizers the cure the drunchies. Parking: paid lots in surrounding areas VERDICT: One and done

The food was delicious! The ambiance is festive lol it's a great place to go with a friend or on a date because there stuff going on but it allows you to have a comfortable conversation. The services was great!

As soon my friends and I walked in, we were able to pick where we wanted to sit. I ordered the nachos and it was amazing. I also had the mango drink. It was huge and pleasing. My server was amazing. We barely waited at all for our food or for her to bring us items. The place has a great vibe! The music selections from the DJ was on point!! I really enjoyed my first time being here!!! I will be coming back! Note: you are on Hollywood Blvd so they hold your card after you order for precautions. Don't worry, you get it back.

Stopped in for some margaritas since we heard they were good. I like the variety of flavors that are available. The margaritas are huge! 32 oz. very heavy on the tequila. I'm not lying when I say I was not sober after one of them. So if you're looking to get your drink on, this is the place for you. Wouldn't come here for the Mexican food however. We had the chips & queso which was mediocre at best. The food that we saw others getting just looked ok. There are plenty of other places that probably have better Mexican food.

Be aware of the drink sizes. It's easy to binge drink at this establishment with only offering one margarita size that contains four shots (I went this past Sunday. I asked they have only one size) they do not warn you that is has 4 shots. They really should. If someone has already been drinking before going to this bar they can get deathly sick.

This place is horrible. In the beginning didn't have nothing to say but let me start off by saying the waitress pocket money from you here because once they see your in a drink or two they make up their own prices on the tab, don't show what your paying for or give receipts. The wings here taste as if they been sitting all day and they reheat and just apply the sauce. The tables and menus are filthy sticky!! Gross.
