"The original location of this Virginia brewery is in Vienna, and it now has a large beer garden in the Mosaic District, too. It has ambitions beyond typical brewpub fare, with a farm-to-table slant (think rabbit cassoulet on the dinner menu). The Vienna location is particularly appealing to runners, walkers, and bikers given its spot near the W&OD trail." - Missy Frederick

We had breakfast on a Saturday morning inside a beer brewing company, which was an exciting and unique location. We enjoyed seeing people walking and jogging outside, and this place was right next to Washington and Old Dominion Trail. The food was good, and the ambiance created a unique dining experience. However, the food portions were smaller than what we expected.

My friends who live nearby took me here for brunch on a Saturday morning and it was so good! Their hash with chorizo was so delicious. My friend's buffalo chicken sandwich looked great, I'll have to try it next time. Even the kid pancakes looked tasty. They had a huge coffee menu and the Mexican coffee and regular cappuccino were so good. I'd love to come back for a beer when it's warmer and not raining! It looked like a fun place to hang out.

Limited outdoor seating. Food is pretty good. There's quite a large selection of beer cocktails and wine. The donut is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The eggs Benedict is pretty tasty with the egg perfectly done. The hash is on the small side. Yogurt parfait is pretty big and filling

Google
I ordered the fish and chips and only received 1 piece of fish. The waiter said this was correct and that it used to be 2 pieces. Way overpriced for 1 piece of fish. Can’t believe I spent $20 for this.

Google
Awesome and fun craft brewery in the area with cocktails also available. The food we got was delicious and the different beer flights we got were also great. Huge space next to a walking/running trail with plenty of seating available inside and outside. The service was amazing, nice clean bathrooms, and the atmosphere was cool. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

Google
Very open, warm space with outdoor seating, trees, and access to the W&OD trail. VERY tucked away in the back of an industrial complex, but well worth the visit. Just be aware that parking can be scarce. The food and beer were excellent, the coffee was solid. The service was friendly. We will definitely be back.

This place is awesome!! Right off the trail so super convenient for my family who chooses to get around without driving! Also the food is amazing! Super kid and dog friendly too. 10/10!

Google
Great Service, wonderful atmosphere, good beers, ciders and wines, plus the food was more than delicious, but also beautifully presented and a lovely blend of flavors. Visiting on a vacation from Texas and if I return to Vienna, Virginia- I will come back to this restaurant. Thanks for a great first day of vacation! Update 3 days later- returned for brunch and enjoyed a great breakfast with good coffee, mimosas and food. Use the menu QR code and place orders on your phone. It works great! My first and last place visited during my trip. Appreciate the comfort and care!

Yelp
Caboose Brewing Co. offers a fantastic blend of great food, drinks, and community vibes that make it a must-visit locale. During my visit, I indulged in their Spicy Shrimp Appetizer and the Tavern Quesadilla, and both were incredibly delicious. The flavors were vibrant and satisfying, making it clear that their kitchen knows how to please a palate. Caboose isn't just about food, though; their drink offerings are equally impressive. Beyond their excellent selection of beers, they also serve cocktails that delight just as much. It's a great spot to explore a diverse range of flavors, whether you're in the mood for a crisp brew or a well-crafted cocktail. The dog-friendly patio is an added bonus, providing a welcoming environment for dog owners to relax and enjoy their time without leaving their beloved pets behind. It's a comfortable space that enhances the overall experience. What truly sets Caboose Brewing Co. apart is its sense of community. The Monday night run club is a testament to this, gathering the nicest people together for a bit of exercise and camaraderie. It's more than just a place to eat and drink; it's a gathering spot where connections are made and nurtured.

Yelp
Stopped here for lunch yesterday after bike riding on the W&OD trail. (Love how convenient this place is, being right ON the trail! Plus there are bike racks with plenty of space for locking up bikes.) We ate at a high-top table on the patio, which was very pleasant. The online menu and ordering system (GoTab) works well (ask a waitperson for the WIFI password for their guest network): one person can place the whole order or each individual in a group can place their own order, and payment is a separate process, where the check can be split in a variety of ways as desired. Some of the menu items shown on their website and in Yelp were not on the menu when we were there (e.g., I don't recall seeing the Brussels, Pork Belly, and a few of the other items), so perhaps the menu changes periodically. Also, when we were there, the Eggs Benedict was "sold out". We tried the Watermelon Ceviche , the Caboose Hash (with chorizo and egg), and the Shrimp and Grits (with a side of bacon); I also had a matcha latte. The Caboose Hash was excellent. The Watermelon Ceviche was very good. The Shrimp and Grits had plenty of shrimp, but it was very "soupy" and salty - it would be better with much less sauce. (The side of bacon was excellent.) One of the hash orders included an over-easy egg but was served with a hard yolk; however, the waitress cheerfully offered a replacement egg, which came out quickly and just right. The Matcha Latte was excellent (I love that unsweetened is an option here, as is a variety of non-dairy "milks"), but it could have been hotter (they were busy, which may be the reason). The whole meal for the three of us cost $84 (including tip), which is a bit pricey for lunch (4 appetizer-sized dishes and 1 matcha latte).

Yelp
Stopped by when walking along the w&OD trail, and was particularly excited to come here. When we arrived, we failed to be seated, and a waiter told us there were no more seats. We managed to find seating at the bar, and while our bartender was friendly, I hope management organizes staffing much better - everyone seemed incredibly stressed and overworked, which is never nice to experience as a customer. As for the food, I enjoyed the breakfast hash with chorizo, as it was spicy and flavorful. The sandwich was a decent portion, but not too flavorful. My partner was not very satisfied, Overall, felt like the restaurant was too disorganized but has such a nice environment - a shame!

Yelp
Stumbled upon this brewery while we were in the area and loved it! Great beer, right by a biking/walking trail, beautiful indoor area - what more can you ask for!

Sarah K.

Yelp
I love this location in mosaic and was pleasantly surprised to come across this location while on the w&od trail. It has an opening facing the trail and an area to park your bike. I mainly came in because I needed ice cold water but decided to get a drink to treat myself. My server Sophie was great despite how awfully sweaty i was after my run. She was kind and very personable. She was quick with the water refills and brought me a second glass wish I appreciated so much. Food looks good here but I settled on a pint of the Citra Ipa. The perfect hazy and citrus-y drink. Hindsight I should have ordered the 10oz but they also offer 4oz. They have seasonal cocktails, mocktails, and coffee drinks. The inside was spacious and there is outdoor seating along with an upstairs area. They have a run club meeting here monday nights at 6:30, so that is interesting.

Yelp
Caboose Brewing Company & Tavern is a fun spot to hit up while biking on the W&OD trail in Vienna. ‍ They have a great selection of beers and a variety of options for brunch and lunch. It's all self-service: you scan a QR code on the table and your order will be brought out to you. I ordered a chicken sandwich with a side salad. The sandwich was really good, but the salad was pretty simple--just spring mix and dressing. I wish there was a bit more to it. Overall, it's a great place to relax and refuel during your ride!

Kelly Y.

Yelp
Cute brewery right off the W&OD. They also serve coffee and cocktails. We had quesadillas that were basic but tasty. Plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor space too. Limited close parking, but they had overflow around the corner.

MaryJane O.

Yelp
I love stopping here with my friend after a long ride. Food is awesome. Ambience is absolutely amazing the core rocks. It is cyclist, friendly. What's does not to love? Two. Thumbs up, highly recommend.

TJ B.

Yelp
Friendly service. Lots of good options and a diverse beer list. Really enjoyed it. Wish it were closer to me but I'll make it a regular stop when I'm in the area or on the WOD. Lots of things on the menu I'd like to come back to try. It's larger inside than it looks from the outside. Heck, it's a lot nicer inside than it looks from the outside! Great brewery. Just one annoyance... ...They have this stupid note on the menus saying they will add a 15% wage fee so they can pay their employees a fair wage. That's great and all but this is confusing and annoying. Just increase your prices until you can pay the wage you want. Don't burden me with the fee notification. Put a note saying your prices may be higher but you believe in paying living wages if you must.... But this, what do I do with it as a customer? Do I still tip? Am I now tipping 35% if my default tip is 20%. No? Yes? I notice your tip suggestions are lower on the receipt which just adds to the confusion... should I use them?!??? Just pay your employees and don't involve us in the itemized expenses. Or charge me an additional 5% for the cloth napkins. And 2% if I use the bathroom. And $1 per beer sample. And an extra 3% if I eat outside because it takes longer to serve out there. Just not a fee followed by a receipt tip suggestion without an explanation of its own.

Jimmy K.

Yelp
What a surprise seeing a coffee shop on the bike trail. A hot coffee hit the spot after a cold 50 mile bike ride. Definitely worth a stop. Perfect place to take a quick break.

Emily S.

Yelp
Nice little spot on the bike trail. Food portions look small but are VERY filling. Good beer with lots of options. Service was fast and friendly which was great as it seemed like there was only one person working, he never seemed annoyed or frustrated. Also loved the discounts given! They had heaters on the outside so you could still sit outside comfortably too.

Kevin Z.

Yelp
Met some buddies here over the weekend, first timers. Place is huge, 3 floors plus outside patio. We sat outside, enjoyed great beers and some snacks. Ordering system was a bit messed up, had to go inside to order, but drinks were delivered. Great variety of IPAs , cocktails etc, really decent place.

Zeni B.

Yelp
This place is a great spot in the DMV, they have great outdoor and indoor seating. The waitstaff has always been so nice. I used to always order the kale caesar salad, but they took it off the menu:(. This time I tried their turkey sandwich that came with slaw and a "secret sauce". It was good & the bread was perfect crispy. Despite them taking my favorite item off the menu I'll probably come again.

Arvie M.

Yelp
I've been to Caboose a few times now, and while the service is consistently great, the food and drink can be hit or miss. On one of my visits, I went with a group of 6 friends, and two of them weren't happy with their cocktails -- one simply had no flavor, I tasted it myself and agreed with her. However, when we mentioned it to the bartender, they were really understanding and even comped one of the drinks. So while the cocktails might not always hit the spot, the staff is always willing to make things right. I know that beer is the thing they focus on, but I'm not a beer drinker, so I can't really comment on that aspect of the menu. It's possible that their beer selection is excellent, but I haven't tried it myself. As for the food, there have been some dishes that I've really enjoyed, but others have been underwhelming. In particular, the shrimp and grits were not something that I would order again and were a miss. Some of their food seems quite pricey for a tavern but the menu does seem interesting. Nothing particularly stands out as memorable that is a go-to dish that I order. Overall, I would say that Caboose Tavern is a fine choice for a night out with friends.

Chantal B.

Yelp
I don't recommend this place. No flavor. Shrimp and grits was like milk and the grits were lumpy and flavorless. Crab hush puppies.... Flavorless DOUGH with a few pieces of crabmeat. Pork Belly was delicious - Facts Staff was very friendly

Colin D.

Yelp
Nice brewery with decent food along the W&OD trail so you can stop in the middle of a bike ride. Came here with a friend on a long-ish bike ride to get a beer, some water and a snack in the middle of our ride. I got the eggs Benedict with bacon and a side salad. They were good, but the eggs were a bit runnier than I'd like with almost runny whites. The beer is good, but not amazing. Their tangerine gose was good and perfect as a refreshing drink during a hot bike ride. Their IPAs and barrel-aged cherry maibock were fine.

Kristin B.

Yelp
What you would expect from a brewery - very good beer, food was okay. The server was nice but seemed a little overwhelmed although the place was not packed. Now I will say it is situated along the W&OD trail and would be a great place to stop, grab a drink and go. We do plan on coming back to try their coffee sometime as well.

Nate M.

Yelp
Nice and interesting location but I'm not a fan of the beer, or food selection. Pricey too

Gary U.

Yelp
Great place! One of my favorites! Great ambiance! Try it! You won't regret it! Cheers!

Kenneth K.

Yelp
Came here last Saturday with my wife and our best friend before heading to Wolf Trap. We didn't have a reservation but they had a table for us upstairs. They use a QR and mobile ordering system which was easy for us all to use, including our friend that was not tech savvy. The beer was excellent as all 3 of us shared flights. We all agreed that the Bienvenidos Mexican Lager was the best and exceeeded our expectations. My wife and I's second favorite beer was the Clurichaun Nitro Dry Irish Stout. The reason to dock a star is the food is pricy and portions are small so we ended up getting more food at Wolf Trap. We only ended up sharing a Nordic Knot Pretzel which was tasty but smaller than expected and the Chicken Wings with Fog IPA BBQ sauce which was also tasty and about the portion size we expected being six wings.

Yelp
This is a cute location and more cozy than Caboose Commons at Mosaic. It's located conveniently off of the W&OD trail in Vienna, which means a lot of bikers and families frequent this cafe. It's vibrant and fun, and I have plans to try biking there myself this summer! This location has more of a sit-down vibe than Caboose Commons, and the service is very fast and friendly. Their menu is perhaps less expansive but is focused more on entrees and cocktails than snacks/ light bites and beer. The vibes are very different, and I think there are positives about both locations. However, the staff here is far more friendly and the vibes are, on the whole, better. I wouldn't come here to work (like I would at Commons) or play a board game, but I enjoy their sit-down brunch more. I've had the chance to sample several of the hot cocktails at this location, and they've all been excellent. I oddly haven't ordered beer here, but my wife has and says it's the same fresh quality as at Commons. Both locations (to my knowledge) charge a fair wage tax, which is great, but make sure you know that before tacking on an additional huge tip, as it is (I think) around 18-20%. I'd love an even more expansive menu, but the food I've had has been good, so I can't complain. 4.5/5, I'll round up for a great local business!

Tony S.

Yelp
Food, wait staff, and environment are legit. Would definitely go back especially after a bike ride.

Charles V.

Yelp
A fun place to hang out with friends for a "few" drinks and some grub. The atmosphere is lively. The food is really good. And the drinks ... well, there are plenty to choose from. There is a full bar, but I go for the beer. I am a big fan of their Vienna Lager, but there are other great options to try. The only negative is parking. Because it is located in an industrial park, much of the parking is assigned to specific businesses. So, you may be unlucky and have to park a few more steps than desired. But it's worth it!

Gary J.

Yelp
Place I USED TO GO TO. Around 11:30-ish on a weekday. Seat yourself at the outside patio. Order from menu over the internet appears mandatory. Sat there ten minutes, never saw any staff. Menu accessible by QR code states it charges mandatory 15% surcharge on all orders. I have no idea what is supposed to be the "tipping" protocol under these rules. Was service so bad, or customers so shady, that it became necessary to transfer the restaurant's problems onto all customers? Supposedly some server eventually brings your food whenever they get around to it. I was going to go along with it that one time since we were already there. But could not find any beverages on menu except coffee and alcoholic drinks. Never was greeted or saw any staff in large outdoor dining area. Nobody else there had any food. If all they are offering now is essentially on-site carry-out, I'm never going back. I suppose I could have gone inside and complained. But that's not how I ever want to have to begin a restaurant dining experience. What an absolutely horrible business model. Maybe they are having trouble keeping server staff. What does that say about their ability to keep kitchen staff? With this, they will also have trouble keeping customers. I left angry and hungry.

Katelin C.

Yelp
I came here for breakfast. They open at 8 AM and close 12 AM almost every day. I was surprised to see so many people eating breakfast at 8:30 AM on a Saturday morning. The inside is very nice with cute lighting. We were able to sit wherever we wanted with a nice view of the W&OD trail. We ordered through the QR codes on the table and the food and drinks were delivered directly to us. We got the cold brew and latte. The cold brew was good and fresh. I really like the sour taste in coffee. I wish I added some vanilla or caramel flavoring to give it more taste. The latte had enough milk that it did not need any flavoring. We got the chicken biscuit which was amazing for $7. The chicken was crispy and fresh. It was a large chicken breast. The biscuit was also homemade and super fresh. The egg was a nice touch but in my opinion not worth the extra $3. We also got the kids pancakes which were gigantic for $6. I added chocolate chunks which were nice for a small fee. The sausage was not worth the additional $3. You are probably better off ordering a side of sausage which I believe comes with 2 patties for the same price. Overall, a nice cute place to eat breakfast in the morning. The location is a bit hidden and you need to enter through the right side. I would recommend people to try if they are up early in the morning!

Will A.

Yelp
Good brews. Decent service. Good location in Mosaic and toms of space. Don't love their event policy or pricing, but we've had some fun outings there.

Sharde' R.

Yelp
I loved that vibes of this place. Cute outside patio with mainly high top seating. On the inside they have regular seating. Heads up, this place is a scan to order & pay. If you're a needy person that likes servers to wait on you 24/7, this may not be the place for you. But great place to hang with friends/ groups. I love how they serve breakfast till about 3pm and the menu is extensive, including specially made sodas, spritzers, lattes, & spirits; there's something for everyone. I had the shrimp & grits which was very flavorful only con was the small portion. I was still hungry afterwards. My husband has the burger & he said it was the best he's ever had. The only reason I gave this place a 4 instead of 5 was because there weren't changing tables in the bathroom, but they had high chairs & kids menu. Wish they were 100% kid friendly.

Jeremy N.

Yelp
Great food, great service, great beverages and cute atmosphere. What else is there to say? Aside from the challenges finding the place, finding parking, and finding the entrance. Once you've been to this hidden gem, you'll likely want to return.

Danielle M.

Yelp
Third time visiting this cool brewery/tavern, and I must say, their food and beer are spectacular. I tried their Peach Saison and it was just delicious, and did a flight of a few IPAs. Awesome! We also ordered the pickled veggies, crispy brussels, and I had the SeaBass. It was a lovely meal. One of our friends had a bit of an issue with a meal substitute and it seems there was some push by from the chef, but all in all the meal was great!

Dani P.

Yelp
I've only been for brunch on weekends, but it's always been a nice experience. This business sits right on the trail and makes me wish I was more active on my bike. There's indoor and outdoor seating, and a nice loft space upstairs for bigger parties. Brunch is usual fare but with their take on it. I am particularly in love with the salmon eggs benedict... yum. Their cafe drinks are above and beyond, offering unique types and a lot of different combinations of sweeteners. Just a warning, if you don't select a sweetener then it comes with no sugar at all. The first time we came we ordered a Mexican hot chocolate and didn't specify a sweetener, and the cayenne was almost too strong without any sweetness.

Margaret J.

Yelp
Well we tried to get service on site at this place. Barry was told to take a seat and snaps a photo for the QR code and they would be right with us. I struggled with my phone and started to order. I turned around and noticed that there were many customers attempting to do what I was doing and shaking their heads. No food on the tables, even the the menu asked if the table wanted water. Barry approached the counter, they told him to go back to his seat and order from the QR code which I still was attempting to do. After placing what I thought we wanted the app stated that an additional 15% was going to be added in addition to the tip that I was going to enter, still no service-Barry said, stop! "we are leaving, no service, no acknowledgment, look at the customers without any food." We left.

Pamela K.

Yelp
Great ambiance, good food and pleasant service. A group of 8 met before dinner reservation elsewhere. Ordered sweet potato fries and charcuterie board. Beers were excellent!

Sophia P.

Yelp
Loved the vibes here! We stopped by here on a Saturday afternoon the Vienna Oktoberfest to grab a bite to eat. We sat outdoors on the patio on the high tops, which was decorated like nicely with lights. The tavern is literally right off of the W&D trail - great pit stop for those who may be running/biking. Ordering and paying was all done via the QR code. They had many choices of beer, I got a flight of their witbier, blackberry gose, Pilsner, and hazy IPA. All were delicious and flavorful. We ordered small bites to eat including the OG Mac & cheese side, and the pretzel. The pretzel was actually a huge portion, definitely a good size app to share. The Mac and cheese was buttery, creamy, and topped with toasted crumbs. Definitely satisfying. Would love to come back and try more of their menu items!

Hunter B.

Yelp
This place is a solid brewery. There was adequate parking. The outdoor patio seating was seat yourself but a table inside we had to wait. The menus and all the ordering/paying is on you phone with a QR code. I had to try the award winning lager and it was a good beer. Will have to come back for food too sometime.

John S.

Yelp
Can't think of a better place off of the W&OD to grab a post, or in our case mid, ride drink and bite to eat. The space has the typical nice and airy hipster/barn/distillery vibe. Plenty of racks for bikes and a nice outdoor space to relax and enjoy your food/drinks Orange Creamsicle (sour beer) was very smooth. Pear Salad was very good, and my teenage son said the Mac n cheese was the best he's ever had. The side order of sweet potato fries and regular fries are over priced for what you get. Service wasn't what I would call friendly. The person who waited on us seems like the manager and he did not smile, did not engage and was a bit curt when dealing with us but he might have been having a bad day. Other server was more personable. I mention this because they add a 15% livable wage surge charge to all bills. Just something to keep in mind when you are adding your tip (if you choose to do so).

Connie L.

Yelp
I came here for breakfast/brunch with 2 friends on a Saturday morning in August 2021. We had been walking 2 dogs along the bike trail and all of us (including the dogs) were pretty hungry and thirsty when we got to Caboose. It wasn't too busy when we arrived around 9:15 AM, and we were able to grab a table in the outdoor seating area. It had stormed the night before so the outdoor furniture was a bit damp, but the friendly server who welcomed us kindly wiped everything down before we settled in, and anyways it was already a hot morning. The server also immediately got the dogs a big bowl of water, which was very much appreciated. One of my friends got a bacon + egg + cheese biscuit while the other got the yogurt parfait, the latter of which I also ordered. I also got an unsweetened cold brew with oat milk. Due to Covid-19 safety measures, the menu was accessible via QR code and orders were taken directly through the same code / menu site. The granola came with a generous amount of berries and the granola was really tasty. My friend and I thought it could benefit from the addition of chia seeds but were nevertheless happy with our order. My other friend loved his biscuit, which was served with a side salad. The biscuit was aptly served with cutlery since it could get messy (but I think that's a sign of a good biscuit). The cold brew was really good and the oat milk was served on the side, which was handy for controlling how much you wanted in the drink. My granola + coffee came out to around $12 after service, tax & tip, which was for me pretty much expected in the Vienna area. The service was really friendly (and dog-friendly) and there was also free wifi. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area!

Yelp
Great beers and beer selection. Vegan food options (a couple) and nice merch. Fun atmosphere.

Ryan C.

Yelp
Looking for brunch, we decided to give this place a shot since we loved Caboose Commons in Merrifield. They only had a few available parking spots but we got lucky and grabbed one of the last ones. They had a bunch of seating and counter space outside but we opted to sit inside to avoid the sweat. We were able to get a table one the spot. They do GoTab ordering so it made things super simple. Wish all places did this. Got the crab hush puppies to share, their goat cheese omelette, a sausage egg and cheese bagel, a blueberry thyme kooler, and an orange ginger fizz. Food and drinks came out really quickly after ordering. Crab hush puppies were so soft and had a nice sauce on the side. Good amount of crab. The omelette had a little too much goat cheese for me but was cooked perfectly. Sandwich was pretty decent, standard bagel sandwich but satisfying enough. The blueberry thyme kooler wasn't really for me, a little too sour but the orange ginger fizz was refreshing and a great compliment. Overall a good experience, love the view of the trail and the food was good. Might come back soon to actually get some beers.

Rajeev N.

Yelp
This is absolutely the greatest brewery I have ever been to!!! It's very decorative and will lighten up your day the second you walk in. They have quite fast service, and for fresh food. I feel like they just have everything out, and make it in a matter of minutes! Let alone their amazing customer service. If you don't want to come here, you're crazy.

Nick B.

Yelp
Stopped by with friends after paintball. This was my first time at this Caboose location (and first time having food at either). Hot damn, the food impressed everyone. My burger with sweet potato fries was amazing -- they had a venison option that I'll have to try next time. My girlfriend had the fried chicken sandwich with one of their hot sauces -- it was fantastic, albeit prob too hot for me to enjoy. Another friend had the macaroni and cheese which looked bomb (she reviewed it highly favorably as well). Everyone seemed to like the beer, I had the schwarzbier and the Czech pilsner, both I'd order again. Will definitely be coming back.

Rachael M.

Yelp
I love this place, and think it's a great dining experience in general. Just chiming in that the service fee is a confusing and unwelcome addition. To the owners comment it's in response to the "broken tipping system" - by adding a service fee, but suggesting customers should still tip in addition because of "lower rates" it's just perpetuating the system and making customers feel uncomfortable trying to guess what that additional tip should be. Don't ask customers to tip if you add a service fee, or go European and just raise prices and do away with tipping, period.

Yelp
Positives: good beer. Drawbacks: Location is difficult to find, the food is over priced and average, and the service is unenthusiastic.

Yelp
This place is secluded and a bit hard to find but worth the effort. The food was good. They have so many beers to select from and they are all unique. They also do cocktails and coffee.

Yelp
This is a tavern and brewery that has fine dining options! It's a brunch spot, lunch spot, telework spot, meet up on the bike path spot, and even a dinner spot. Caboose is versatile in its beers, food and coffee! I was so suprised to see they have so many brunch options and can be a spot to grab a coffee an do some work (.... before it's 5 o'clock somewhere!). This is the best "all around spot" to grab a drink, whether it be coffee or a beer, and meet up! I ordered the Autumn Salad with fried chicken and literally exclaimed "there's chocolate on my salad!" I may or may not have picked a lot off and ate it first haha! Honestly, I didn't want this salad to end. It was perfect. The flavor combinations are not typically something you would see at a brewery and I was over the moon happy! COVID modifications were outstanding. You can order from your table and the beers come out almost immediately. The servers were friendly and funny. I was able to see some wildlife from the table and there's ample outdoor seating. Whether you roll up on a bike or in a car this place is worth spending some time at. They're dog friendly outside too (bring your dog, it's not drinking alone!) and there's wooded area close if they need to take a "break."

Yelp
We come here for the beer but honestly the food is usually the star of the show. Love the location right off the W&OD. Great to park elsewhere and take a stroll over to Caboose. Also love how dog friendly it is. The prices are a little steep but we're definitely willing to shell put for the chill ambiance, great food, and tasty beer. The only thing I'm not a fan of is their app to order food. Going back will cancel out your entire order so you have to be sure to click on the main menu to go back. This past weekend when we went (29 JAN 2022) they said we could use either the app or they could take our order in person.

Yelp
Have lived in Vienna for 16 years and how have we never been to Caboose?! It's so unassuming from the outside but inside is super inviting with a fun, playful vibe. There's isn't one homogeneous clientele; we saw families with young kids, groups of adults laughing over beers, an older couple...everyone looked happy and enjoying themselves. The food was AMAZING; so many different types of beer. Super busy on a nice day since a bike/walking trail runs right next to it.

Yelp
The service model is frustrating and slow. Most breweries: order drink, pay for drink, take drink...3 steps. 2 minutes total to take a sip. Caboose: connect to WiFi, scan QR code, wait for page to load, order drinks, manually enter credit card info, register/confirm account, wait (and wait...and wait) for drinks while they sit on the counter for far too much time when the place wasn't busy....7 steps. 15 minutes total to take a sip.

Yelp
Great beer, awesome food and service. The beer selection is wide and should satisfy all beer drinkers.

Yelp
I came here a few weeks back to meet up with my club. I put in a reservation with the staff who were really accommodating to my request and helping me fill out the reservation form. Upon arrival, we needed assistance with the wheelchair lift and after realizing it was not working, the staff handed together to make us a table outside and continuously made sure we were doing okay. The service here was truly above and beyond, phenomenal. Let's get into the drinks and food though! Apart from fabulous service, they also serve up amazing food! My boyfriend and I ordered a side of fries, mac and cheese, and the pretzel to share. Everything came out piping hot and delicious! The mac and cheese had a crispy crust with lots of gooey cheese and it wasn't too sharp either, just perfect. The fries were perfectly crispy and the ketchup was actually my favorite part because I could tell it was fresh not from a bottle! Now the pretzel. That baby was dense, but in a good way! Definitely enough for 2 and super tasty! Onto the drinks: I ordered a flight with blackberry gose, peach basil seltzer, chamomile rye table beer, and bienvenidos Mexican lager. For someone who isn't super into beer, I loved this option and I surprisingly really loved the blackberry gose! I definitely can't wait to return and try some more items because everything looked so good!
