We loved our stay here. Prior to arrival we were slightly concerned about the check in process (being from Ontario where everything is very regulated) however it was very easy and straightforward. Our room was spacious, the bed the most comfortable I have slept in and the jaccuzi tub was welcomed after a trip spent hiking. Breakfast was simple but delicious and easily accessible. I loved this stay and would stay here again when visiting St. Johns.

A little gem hidden in St. John’s! Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Amir was so helpful (especially when we called him because we forgot the code to get in - thank you!) Room was beautiful, grand and very clean. Lots of amenities (teas, coffee, boxed breakfast, fruit, milk etc). So much nicer than staying in a mainstream hotel!

Last 4 nights in Newfoundland. Great location, beautiful well appointed room, Amir was very friendly and helpful, good selection in the breakfast box. Shared fridge was a nice thing to have available. Loved the claw foot tub. 20 minute walk to downtown was very doable. Small complaint would be the low shower pressure.

Such a cool hotel to stay at! The check-in process was very easy, no front desk or anything needed. We simply found our keys in our envelope and checked ourselves in. Same thing for checking out, we just left the key in the door and it was taken care of. The atmosphere is very classic and decorated with crystal chandeliers and old vintage suitcases and chairs. It is a large old character home with no elevator so make sure you're ok with stairs or staying on the ground floor. My husband and I stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon and I wish we had chosen to stay here for the whole trip, it was that nice of a spot. Will definitely stay here again during my next trip to NL!!

Charming guest house located in a historic neighbourhood in central St John’s. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well appointed. The staff have been very helpful and friendly. Excellent value. I would happily return & recommend to friends.

Beautiful room, clean and warm. Pretty decent breakfast. Only complaint I have is at 6:30 am some other guest in the Cabot House, decides that it's ok to sit on the couch in the main lobby and have a conversation on his cell phone! Go back to your room for heavens sake!!!!! There are at least 2 other rooms besides the one I booked, on the same floor as the main lobby! I hadn't planned on getting up that early as I wasn't checking out that day... Consideration for other guests would be appreciated. Be quiet at 630 am!!!

The Cabot House is a slice of heaven. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you’re home. From the beautiful furnishings to the history of the house, it was a treat for all senses. The dining room is equipped with everything you need for refreshments and light snacks at any hour. More importantly, if you have the opportunity, do not miss out on Deanne’s amazing & talented baking. She is an absolute gem, kind, funny and goes out of her way to make sure guests have the best experience. I can’t say enough good things about Deanne, Nichole and Dimitri for their story with Cabot House and initiatives they do to give back to the community.

The rooms are large and comfortable. Great location. Unfortunately the staff does not do any room cleaning regularly. The difficulty is the facility is also used at night ( in the back) as a homeless center. The problem occurs when some of those folks want to use the front facilities overnight. Awkward for visitors to this city to have to deal with such while on holiday.
