My wife and I visited for the first time and were totally impressed with the food and the friendly service. We had the Marinated Goat Cheese & Tapanade. Delicious! We split the Brussels Sprouts Caesar Salad. Best salad I have had in a long time. And we split the steak special which was delicious. We are new to Sacramento and we will be back!

A great spot in the pocket. The set up is great you feel like you’re in a much larger place, friendly service seriously (makes you feel like yeah I’m coming back). The food was super fresh, homemade dressing on my arugula salad was special. The BLT was perfectly juicy, fresh and crunchy…. Yum. They have a cute bar Great atmosphere, clean and organized, friendly service, fantastic chow. V

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING IN EVERY WAY! My husband and I just moved to Sacramento and were looking for a great local spot, and we hit the jackpot with Cacio. Dining here felt like being welcomed into a friend’s home. The atmosphere is cozy and unpretentious, with a warmth you don’t often find in restaurants this good. Katie is an exceptional host. She is warm, friendly, and generous with her time. She chatted with us and gave fantastic local recommendations, which we truly appreciated as newcomers. Her husband Jonathan is a phenomenal chef. The menu is beautifully curated, and every dish we tried was unforgettable. We had the Ahi Tuna (a daily special), Fregola e Gamberi, the Strawberry Mascarpone Tart (a daily special), and the Housemade Chocolate Ganache. The Housemade Chocolate Ganache seems so simple (grilled bread, chocolate ganache, virgin olive oil, and sea salt) but perfect in every way. Surprisingly, this has became my dream dessert. Cacio is a gem, and we feel lucky to have found it. We’ll absolutely be back (many times)!

Google
This is way long overdue but it's no surprise about the review I'm about to make because everyone can agree that this amazing restaurant is the best Italian restaurant we have ever had with the most wonderful owners and servers we have ever met! My husband and I have never had a negative experience with the delicious food, the great service, beautiful atmosphere and of course the outstanding wine choices provided. Thank you Katie and Jonathan for giving us one of the best dining experiences!

Google
First off, make a reservation. The entire restaurant could fit easily in most single family homes so please respect their need to fill every seat multiple times every night. More importantly, it's perfect! Portions are the right size, food is lovingly prepared, the atmosphere feels like you're in a home versus a normal restaurant. We were out in just over an hour but didn't feel rushed at all. It wasn't even expensive! I built the same meal at Olive Garden for pickup (no coffee, scallops replaced by a seafood pasta, penne/sausage replaced with rigatoni/sausage, added an order of breadsticks since it's sooo important) and it was $85.73 after tax. Add the coffee and you're right back to $95. I'd like to think we're worth the $12. We normally each get our own entree with a third to share as an appetizer and the sizes were perfect for that. We definitely ate much more than a normal night at home but we didn't feel the overfull feeling you get with fake/processed food. Bottom line: Make a reservation, enjoy your meal, get an extra entree to share, skip the heartless chains that dump alfredo sauce on spaghetti with bacon and call it "carbonara." You deserve it.

Google
This intimate venue is everything that you’ve ever wanted in an experience and more. Having a reservation is important, and after your first visit you’ll know why. That’s not to say that you don’t drop by and see if there was a cancellation or room at the bar. Trust me when I say, you can’t go wrong with whatever you decide on. Portions are perfect, wine selections are out of this world and don’t get me started on the bread and butter. The saying “if you known, you know” applies to this place. Can’t wait to go back again.

We have been here many times now and it bever disappoints, the food is always amazing. This time was for my birthday and everything was amazing as usual. It is a small restaurant so it is best to get reservations. We love the owners and always receive great service. Thank you for the great food and atmosphere for my birthday.

Google
Visiting Davis for parents weekend, the kid wanted a nice Italian dinner, and so we came here. We were lucky to get a reservation, to seat at the counter, and we were not disappointed. We went for the pasta dishes that our waiter recommended and they were so good. The pasta was perfectly prepared. The sauces were very flavorful. I would definitely recommend it here for a nice evening out.

Yelp
What can I say without craving Cacio again? Let me start off by saying, service is always pleasing, warm and delightful. My partner and I have been coming to Cacio AT LEAST once a month to try a new item on their menu. I make it my priority to try one Chef's special when we go because they're always delectable! Our go-to items are definitely their Ciabatta bread with truffle butter and Cacio board with charcuterie (the cheeses just melt in your mouth!) we've tried their Cacio e Pepe and their seasonal soups. When I say EVERYTHING we've tried have met our expectations.... Trust me mama, it has. The only picture I've taken is the Chef's special with Tuna (10000/10), which you can view in this review. Please try Cacio and don't be afraid to try the Chef's special!

Yelp
Came here for dinner Friday night and scheduled a reservation ahead of time. This place is amazing and something I didn't think you can find in Sacramento. The staff were very friendly and really knew the food. They were helpful in helping us select an appetizer, dinner, and a wine. This place is perfect for date night or having wine with a small group. The restaurant is a bit small so I wouldn't come here with more than 4 people.

Yelp
Ambiance: Fabulous hidden secret in Pocket Area that is small business owned by husband and wife team. They maximize all 900 sqft with efficiency and decorate uptown wine bar from a small outdoor eating, counter and tables. MUST have a reservation which open up in the afternoon. You can try to get in without but super tough. Food: 10/10 Roasted Beet Salad- fresh and light, 10/10 Cacio pasta with grilled shrimp. This is how it is made! Peppery and shrimp grilled to perfection. 10/10 Roasted duck breast special- tender, acid with the yuzu sauce and faro and greens salad. 10/10 fresh white truffle butter with fresh ciabatta bread as a MUST.. earthy and salty goodness on hot bread. Service: Stellar Service by the owners wife and a full staff of 4. Attentive and great recommendations. Only in a small business are you going to offer 4 specials for the evening. Have a special occasion or just because; make your reservation at Cacio and support this lovely small business. Well worth it!

Yelp
Cute litte place, very limited seating and that's basically why they are pretty much by reservations only. Food was excellent, service was great. We were a little disappointed in their dessert menu. Cost is on the little higher side. Private parking lot. Not for huge parties. Great for date night.

Yelp
Wow! This little hole in the wall was an unexpected find! Went on a Tuesday night with reservations at 5p. About half full. Service was personal and attentive. The food was excellent! Started with the grilled peaches and burrata (get it / thank me later!). I had the cacio de Pepe with pancetta. My buddy had the tuna - both excellent!! Great little date night spot! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Oh gosh, I just realized I haven't written a review of one of my all-time favorite restaurants! My husband and I have had the fortune of visiting Cacio a handful of times now. It's a go-to recommendation to friends and family, as well as a special place for us to celebrate occasions or just a nice date night. While they do have some walk-in availability, we have always made reservations. The space itself is very intimate, which is one of the things we love. Now for the food! YUM-MY. Every single thing we have ordered has been an absolute hit. Some items on their menus are constants, like their namesake cacio e pepe, but they also have seasonal items and nightly specials. Again, we have really enjoyed everything they whip up! The service is also so kind, warm, and welcoming. We feel like we're having dinner at a friend's place, and you get the strong sense of community and family here. What a gem in the Pocket area. We love it!

Yelp
A GEM in the Pocket area! FOOD: I absolutely love the menu here. There are just enough items and you know they are all made to perfection. I always get the Cacio de Pepe pasta and a mixed greens salad! DELICIOUS and fresh. I love the hallow noodles on the pasta and the yellow raisins added to the salad. SERVICE: The service and the vibe here are lovely. You can tell the owners take great pride in their restaurant. Katie (owner and typically our waiter) is always so pleasant and personable. AMBIANCE: So cute and cozy! This is the perfect place to meet a friend or go on a lunch date without the kids. Hehe Overall, will I be back? Oh yes! This is in our rotation. You must visit!!

Yelp
Would definitely recommend trying to make a reservation if possible. One time my friend and I tried to attempt a walk in for dinner and we were turned away because they were so booked. Luckily on a second try, we were able to snag a spot for lunch and were very pleased with our experience! Cacio serves up delicious home-style Italian in large portions! I had to try the namesake dish, cacio e pepe and it was very delightful. The add on of chicken breast surprisingly stole the show for me as it was so flavorful and moist.

Yelp
Wanted to try this spot based on reviews and less than a 5 minute drive from home Couldn't make a reservation however they accommodated us as a walk in. Ambiance is cute and owners are super nice. We sat out in the patio. Drinks: Bellini and beer Apps: bruschetta - amazing- the cheese, balsamic and bread were so good! Entree: Fettuchine con Salsa di Formaggio Tartufata and Fregola e Gamberi I don't eat much pasta but thought my dish needed to be less al dente but otherwise the flavor and cook on the prawns were great! I would come back to try their other dishes.

Yelp
Loved the beet salad and the octo salad! Everything was delicioso! Just look at the yummy, tantalizing drool worthy pix!! Service was nice and friendly. Parking was easy and plentiful in the plaza. Great time, took bottle of wine and leftovers home. Food was fresh and nicely made, flavors were yummy. Need to go back soon!

Yelp
Great pasta, wine and appetizers. This place books fast, I would recommend making reservations. Cute place in the heart of the Pocket neighborhood. Definitely ask for the best wine pairing to go with your dish. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Amazing amazing! What a little gem of a place! We absolutely love the food, never disappointed, great wine selection, nice ambiance and good music. The homemade lasagna was to die for, literally the thinnest sheets of pasta brought together with and amazing sauce. The bread dessert with chocolate, wow! Service impeccable.

Yelp
I love Casio. I've been coming here for years. Always friendly and the food is always excellent.

Yelp
I had a nice time eating at cacio. The service was very friendly and the ambiance very cute. It's a small space so I do recommend having a reservation. I ordered the bread with truffle butter and the penne pasta. I found the truffle butter underwhelming and lacking salt. I also found the penne pasta lacking salt as well but the overall flavor quite good. I wish the penne was home made or they used a homemade pasta instead of penne. My friends got steaks (the special) with mashed potatoes which were delicious.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in greater Sacramento, and has been for many years. My girl-friend doesn't want me to ever go there with anyone but her. For her, it is "our restaurant" When you ask a waitperson here about a dish, you get a LOT of information: prep, ingredients, etc. They KNOW what they are serving, they are proud, and they care. If you offer an opinion they LISTEN. I recommend you always add the side of bread with truffle butter. You will feel like you are first in line at the morning opening of a Paris bakery. Just wonderful. Read the ingredients in their salads, even if you don't plan on having one. The creativity behind these is kind of shocking. You will wonder.............what does it taste like when they combine "this" and "that" in a salad. It always "works". I know this sounds over the top. I have no connection to this restaurant. No agenda. I just love this place.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in town. Tiny, cozy, and everything on the menu is thoughtful and delicious. The cacio e pepe is a must--simple, perfect, and full of flavor. Great wine list, super friendly service, and a real neighborhood feel. Make a reservation--this place fills up fast.

Yelp
Our first visit to Cacio a couple of months ago was great so we invited friends this time and the staff didn't disappoint. We had Brussels sprouts Caesar salad which surprised and excited our friends. We already knew how refreshing it was. Our main dishes were Orecchiette con Sasiccia, Garganelli con Asparagi e Crema al Limone, and the trademark Cacio e Pepe. We enjoyed them all, and the serving size was large enough to take a good portion home to have later. The setting was very cozy. Our server was knowledgeable, very pleasant and answered our questions. We were not rushed and it was a totally delightful experience for us and our friends.

Yelp
Cacio is a small restaurant with nice ambiance and is run by a couple who really put their hearts into ensuring every guest has an excellent experience. This was our first time there, and we are very excited about returning soon. They change their menu about every two weeks, which means we'll enjoy a different experience each time we dine there. The Cheese & Charcuterie Board was excellent as were our entrees; Chicken with Risotto for Nancy and Penne alla Vodka with Sausage for me. We both cleaned our plates! The wine we ordered was a beautiful Italian Barolo that paired perfectly with our dinners. This is clearly one of the very best restaurants in the area, and because Cacio is so small, I strongly suggest that you make reservations in advance.

Yelp
Went here yesterday to order food to go. Walked in and spoke to the lady behind the bar and asked if the menu that was shown is all that was available , since I had seen other options on Yelp. She snarkly responded with "I can't control Yelp". I was confused, didn't know what to say , and then she said "our menu changes weekly". Based on her demeanor and tone, I did not feel welcome there. UPDATE: In response to the owner's comment, I have left many 5 star reviews am not sure how my other reviews have anything to do with yours. Further, why do you feel you should give a snarky remark if a potential customer didn't see or know that you change meals weekly? A normal businessperson would have recommended something else rather than do what you did. You could have easily said sorry or something and I could have possibly considered removing the review, but your response certainly proves my point in showing your true character.

Yelp
We just had a wonderful meal! The service was exceptional, the food was amazing and the beer and wine selection was great. The prices are great and it has a nice environment.

Yelp
Wow!! What an underrated gem of Sacramento. Casual clothes and environment + prices with fine dining experience. You get real amazing service from the team and the flavors of the entrees absolutely warm the soul. Thank you for being so attentive!! Small, intimate space with a small outdoor patio dining option as well. RSVP recommended- I believe their bar is open for walk ins. Lots of regulars noted. Really appreciated the cute anniversary shout out on the menu upon seating. Mushroom Polenta - 10/10. The mushroom were sautéed to perfection. Every bite was yummy. House Special Soup - reminded me of a bootleg gumbo without the seasonings. I could definitely eat an entire pot. The beans were amazing. Garganelli con Mais e prosciutto cotto - pasta, ham pieces, and a lot of corn. We added grilled chicken for extra protein. The corn definitely kept the entree on the sweeter side for my taste buds. Orecchiette con Salsiccia - WOW!! 100/10. I absolutely loved this. The homemade pork sausage was pretty salty but the crisp and flavor it added to the pasta was delicious! Really loved the broccoli bites with the hint of chilies. The pasta was fun shaped and easy to eat. Could eat this over and over. House Chocolate Ganache - grilled bread with chocolate sea salt and olive oil. It was delicious. Great to share between 2-3 people. They have our hearts here at Cacio. See you soon!!

Yelp
The food and service is always amazing. It's a great place to eat within our community of Greenhaven. Always great ambiance with outdoor seating.

Yelp
Almost don't want to write this review because I want this place to myself but y'all, Cacio is the cutest date night spot EVER! This cozy Italian restaurant in the Pocket is adorable and the food/wine is outstanding. My partner made a reservation here as a surprise a few months back after reading about an article in Sacramento magazine (RIP) about their Busiate Trapanese Pesto pasta dish. The menu changes seasonally with a focus on local, fresh ingredients. A cute couple run the joint and they do a fabulous job. Can't wait for my next visit. We kept our dinner light as we had other plans immediately after. Here's what we ordered, split: -Tomato Salad $12 - local heirloom tomatoes, local stonefruit, cress, mozzarella, seka hills olive oil, saba, maldon salt. We added prosciutto $3. Super fresh ingredients, perfect amount of salt/olive oil - yum. -Busiate Trapanese Pesto (veg) $22 - heirloom tomato pesto with basil, mint, garlic, olive oil, almonds, finished with parmigiano reggiano cheese. Busiate pasta are twisted curls that reminded me of an old corded wall telephone (dating myself a bit). The Trapanese pesto consists of tomatoes in addition to basil and almonds, instead of pine nuts. This was a really unique dish that I highly recommend trying if you see it on the menu. -bottle of Zenato Alanera Rosso $30. Delicious and very reasonably priced. Useful info: -Open Weds-Sat (closed Sun, Mon & Tues) -Lunch 11:30a-2p (last seating 1:30), -Dinner 4:30-8:30p (last seating 8:15pm) -Reservations highly suggested & available 14 days in advance. Credit card required, $25/p to hold but only charged if you don't cancel within 24 hours. -Takeout during lunch hours only. -The interior is very small/intimate. If you arrive early for your reservation, you'll wait outside for your table to be ready. -Semi covered/heated outdoor patio seating as well.

Yelp
A sunny and windy day for lunch! Tasty Italian dishes. 9/10 recommend. Small space but enjoyable sitting outdoors.
google avatar

Desirée K. H.

Yelp
This place is reservation only. You'll find a simple Italian menu but, the food is quality. Family owned neighborhood vibes. We always order the Orecchiette con Salsiccia, Roasted Beet Salad and try the rotating/seasonal items.

Gary R.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner for our parents' 70th wedding anniversary last night at Cacio and it was just perfect. The food was simply amazing, the service was warm and inviting, and my parents felt like a King and Queen the entire night. Thank you Jonathan and Katie for helping us celebrate two very special people in our lives!

Evan B.

Yelp
A genuinely welcoming place. The space is small, but the staff are all friendly and the owners go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant evening. Service takes a little while, but the food did not disappoint. Having finally tried this little gem in the pocket, I hope to come back many times more

Yelp
We came here for the first time with some friends, for my girlfriend's birthday. Originally she tried to get a table for 10-12 but was told, we if we wanted a party that larg. We would have to rent out of restaurant, so instead we went with a table for 6. Which was odd because when we arrived there was a table behind us that had about 10-12 people, but they hadn't rented out the entire restaurant. So I'm not not sure what happened between their party and ours. Drinks: Sauvignon Blanc (Little James) Italian Blood Orange Sparking Soda Appetizer: Cacio board Main Courses: Cacio e Pepe w/Grilled Prawns Penne alla Vodka Dungeness Crab pasta w/Lemon creme sauce Dessert: House made Crème Brûlée Although Cacio serves a small amount of people, it took a while to receive our meals. Maybe that's because everything is made from scratch, so I try to take that into account. But if that's typical, I definitely wouldn't arrive hungry. Or maybe I would order an appetizer first to hold you over for a bit. Food was really good, with the Penne alla Vodka being the best dish. The Dungeness Crab we all liked the least, and all had high hopes. But it was just ok. Overall: Good service and friendly waiter. Delicious food, and one of the best Crème Brûlée's I've ever had.

Yelp
I saw a lot of positive Yelp reviews and was eager to try somewhere new for my birthday. A reservation was made about a week before the dining date (which is recommended). It's not a big place, so you definitely want to make sure you're guaranteed a spot. The staff were excellent. They really couldn't have been anymore welcoming, friendly, or helpful. The food was excellent! We tried the Ciabatta Bread & Truffle Butter, Bruchetta, Farro & Corn, Roasted Beet Salad, and I ordered the Busiate Trapanese Pesto for my entree. Personally, I didn't love the flavor of the Farro & Corn, but everything else was delicious. I really enjoyed the Roasted Beet Salad and my main dish. I read that their menu does change frequently due to them cooking with local, seasonal ingredients. I especially love businesses that do this! If you're also celebrating here, they were able to accommodate the request to customize the menu. Our party's menus read, "Happy Birthday". I just happened to sit down at the place where the menu read, "Happy Birthday Stephanie!", which is a really nice personal touch. I'd like to make it back to Cacio for another meal very soon!
google avatar

Anita N.

Yelp
My absolute favorite restaurant. The service is superb and the food even better. Their ganache is a must try! You can't go wrong choosing their special.

Bryce G.

Yelp
Food, service, atmosphere this place had all of it! Usually a restaurant only has one or the other but Cacio checks all the boxes. My food was outstanding but what I loved the most was the genuine couple running the establishment. The wife was hosting and serving everyone while the husband was in the back cooking, Absolutely love it! To top it all off it was very affordable

John B.

Yelp
The meals were disappointing, not great or memorable and not like any Italian food we'd ever had. Service was attentive; the server was cordial and informative. After a so-so salad, we waited over 20 minutes for our entrees to arrive. When we asked the owner about the delay, she said we were 'next' and explained that there was only one person cooking for the 30 seats. We sat outside with a limited view of the parking lot. Lap blankets and space heaters were available to ward off the evening chill. Making a reservation was intimidating because of the caution of a charge for a no-show, or even being 10 minutes late. We don't understand why this restaurant is so popular.
google avatar

Hieu L.

Yelp
What a gem. The parking here isn't the best because they share the same parking as 24 hour fitness. Very small restaurant; however, it is very cozy and intimate. Service was great here and the food for the price point was very fair. Due to the limited seating, reservations are highly recommended. I liked the ambiance and the owner was friendly and inviting.

Yelp
This restaurant is something you would expect to find in the Bay Area and is truly a hidden gem. I've been here several times and each time, the experience has been pleasant and positive. I will elaborate on the most recent experience because it's fresh on my mind: We had reserved a table in their outdoor section because there was no availability indoors during the time slot we needed. On the day of our reservation, the weather was quite cold and I was worried about the whether their heaters would be powerful enough. I received a call from a lady in the afternoon asking if we'd like to sit inside at the bar table instead of outside. I took the offer because I get cold very easily. When we got to the restaurant, they let us in 15 minutes earlier than our reservation time. We started off with an order of their Ciabatta Bread & Truffle Butter. When the appetizer arrived, I felt like the bread was colder than the other times I had ordered it so I asked the lady server if she could warm up the bread for us. She said " no problem. If you can wait 12 minutes then I will get you bread fresh from the oven." After some time passed, the male server gave us bread fresh from the oven with new butter. It was so warm and scrumptious! While we were eating that the lady server came back and gave us another fresh bread and butter on the house. I'm not sure if it was a mistake or because they felt sorry? for the wait time of the bread but the 3 of us happily finished all the bread and butter. We ended up ordering three pastas. The specific names are in the photos and captions below. Everything was delicious and they got our order request correct. My friend asked for less spicy and they remembered to do that. I think they make their own pasta because it just tastes so authentic and organic. I really feel like I'm eating in Italy. Their ingredients seem fresh and high quality as well. Their portion sizes are generous while the cost is not overly expensive. Their customer service, food, and ambiance is all excellent and I will definitely be coming back to try the other items on their menu!

Yelp
Okay so this place is very cute and the staff went above and beyond they were very nice and complimentary...buttttt I do have to say that the pricing and the quality don't really add up to much haha. The bread and butter was okay, the butter was very aromatic and herby and not really my type of taste and you have to pay for it extra around 6 dollars. The Cesar salad was a very small portion and could have tasted a bit better for 12 dollars as well there's a lot of parm on top too. I ordered the linguini and it came with plenty of clams and sauce but I just feel like it was something I could have made at home ...overall you can tell it's a mom and Popop shop doing there best to provide an exclusive feeling date experience which is nice! I would give it overall a 7 outta 10.

Yelp
How have I not reviewed Cacio before? Maybe it's because I selfishly wanted to keep this gem a secret. But it's too late; the secret's out. Katie Kinner is an amazing human; so welcoming, so talented. Her smile lights up the room, and you will instantly feel like you are with family. She knows her wines and will always recommend the perfect pour for your food choice. She is attentive to every guest. Jonathan Kerksieck is an inspiring chef. His soup of the day is always incredible. Their shaved Brussels Sprout Ceasar salad is one of our faves. Tho only downsides are the size of the restaurant; which makes reservations essential; and the size of the parking lot; which is not their fault, it's the fault of the landlord and the gym next door. Why don't those gym rats ride bikes? ;-) Another nice thing about this husband and wife team is the hard work they do for others. They have pop-up dinners for local food trucks where they work essentially for free to help other chefs succeed. Katie and Jonathan deserve every kudo they receive. Cacio is the best restaurant in the Pocket, and one of the best in the Sacto valley. And before you clutch your pearls and ask why my photo has a dog in it; no dogs aren't allowed in the restaurant. This was their dog, Charlie; who was facing a fatal diagnosis and they elected to close down the restaurant on a Saturday night and hold a celebration of life while Charlie was still alive to bask in the adoration of his raving fans. They make excellent food. They love pets. They love their fellow humans and do charitable work on other's behalf. What more can you ask?! Go eat at Cacio.

Yelp
Delicious! There are only 10 tables available so it's best to make a reservation if possible. Their online reservation policy seems a bit strict ($25 charge pp if reservation is cancelled) but I just made mines over the phone. Service was pretty good and the food was delicious! My friend and I enjoyed the quality of the food and the generous portions. We ordered the Cacio e Pepe & Orecchiette con Salsiccia pastas. Both were yummy but our favorite was surprisingly the ciabatta bread and truffle butter. I don't think I've ever tasted such a delicious butter, it was so fresh and had a great umami profile. The restaurant itself is quiet and intimate but also has a nice casual vibe. I will definitely be back again. I'm excited to try other items from their seasonal menu.

Yelp
This was the best Italian meal I have had in Sacramento and probably the entire western States. Small intimate setting with very friendly staff (attentive without being intrusive). We had the signature Casio e pepe; for what reads as a simple 4 ingredient dish has a great depth of flavor. The strozzapretti con sugo di maiale is a hearty pasta dish with braised pork.

Yelp
This was our first time here, but we already really love this restaurant. As we arrived we were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. This is a small restaurant so reservations are recommended and appreciated. Our server enthusiastically recommended dishes and wines for us. We started with sharing their pole bean salad. This was wonderfully cool and refreshing on a warm evening with very fresh beans, cucumbers, mint and a light dressing. We followed this with shishito peppers. These were some of the biggest shishitos we've ever seen. They were cooked perfectly and served with a dry powdered ricotta cheese. This alone would have been great, but it was all served atop creamed corn. Yum!!! My partner loved the risotto. This was cooked with cheese, pancetta and grilled peaches. I loved the orecchiette pasta. This was prepared perfectly al dente with broccoli, rabe, Italian sausage and chili. This was spicy but delicious. We accompanied our meal with a recommended Italian red blend that paired very well with the food. Desert was gelato. Vanilla bean, salted caramel, cherry (amarena) and strawberry. What a marvelous meal. Prepared and served by very friendly people.

Yelp
We made a reservation here for a Friday night since I heard it can get super busy, upon arrival I realized it is pretty small but they have indoor, outdoor, and bar seating. I tried the guava bellini, daily soup (tomato and truffle), meatballs, and penne alla vodka. The soup and meatballs were really good I highly recommend both although the soup available changes. I liked the penne all vodka but I'll try something else next time I go. We also got the chocolate ganache which we liked as well.

Yelp
My son took me here for dinner last night after him and his fiancé had been RAVING about it for months. They eat here at least once a month and they are considered "regulars". I have celiac and while the menu isn't gf friendly, when he made the reservation he let them know that I was gluten free. When we showed up, wouldn't ya know it, the daily special was gluten free! We shared a Cesar salad, I had the pork loin with risotto and it was AMAZING. I have never orders a pork loin in my life because they are usually dry but this was a 10/10. It's a small place, but cute inside. They have a small patio but I would recommend reservations even if it's a party of two. The people were so nice, the service was great and the food was even better.

Yelp
Truly a hidden gem in the Pocket neighborhood. The Cacio e Pepe was molto bene. The bucatini was cooked just right and the cracked pepper matched perfectly. I ordered one meatball on the side, just to give it a try, and it was too sweet for me and didn't match the flavor of the Cacio. However, the salted fennel pollen butter served with the room temp bread was truly amazing. I'd go back for the bread and butter alone... but I'd probably get the Cacio e Pepe again. Plenty of parking in this strip mall. About 30 can be seated inside and they have a few tables outside as well.

Yelp
Updating my past reviews to say they are still number one in my not humble opinion. While their pastas are all excellent and creative and full of flavor, it's the nightly protein special I usually get. Had the best pork chop last time! That and the Brussels Caesar (sooo garlicky!) and a glass or shared bottle of wine, and for a very reasonable price, we've had the best date ever!

Yelp
I am so glad that I finally had the pleasure of dinning in at Cacio. The servers were very affable and welcoming. We had to wait approximately 15 minutes prior to being seated. I am really fortunate for the reservation as the restaurant was at capacity. The food was definitely worth the wait. We ordered the ciabatta bread with truffle butter. The truffle butter was so delicious. It was very creamy and the truffle paired very nicely with the bread. The Cacio e Pepe with chicken was also amazingly delicious. I really enjoyed the daily special, which consisted of medium rare filets, broccolini's, potato's, and mushrooms. We devoured everything on our plates. The chocolate ganache was different, but in a good way. The toasted ciabatta bread had a somewhat Smokey, sweet flavor when it was dipped in the chocolate. I will definitely return in the very near future.

Yelp
Brussels sprout ceasar salad and peaches and carbonara risotto, and Italian gelato for dessert (with black cherry gelato scoop)--amazing! Staff was also so attentive and friendly! So happy we got a chance to visit and we'll be back. Recommend to visit if you can :) place is a bit tiny so something to consider if have a big group.

Yelp
Cacio is a little gem of a neighborhood Italian restaurant, and it literally is little, seating maybe 15-20 people inside. They do have outdoor seating which is great with warmer weather. The food is always outstanding and portions are good. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the dishes but Cacio e Pepe is the quintessential dish that bears their name. I've also tried the Orecchiette con Salsiccia with the calabrian chiles and it was really nice with the added spicy heat. The Pulpo e Patate (braised octopus) was also really awesome especially for seafood lovers. My wife tried the roasted beet salad and she liked it. For dessert the chocolate ganache with toast is always a great way to finish your meal. Service is always really good and it's nice to see the owner come out and say hi. The place is super popular, so make sure you plan ahead and make a reservation.

Yelp
An inconspicuous restaurant in a little strip mall area, but full of flavor and good vibes! We had a couple people recommend this spot to us and it did not disappoint. It made for a really great last date night before our first baby arrives. We ordered a couple appetizers, which blew me away, and their weekly pasta special which was so delicious. We loved it so much we made a reservation to take my parents for the next week. You can tell the owners put a lot of love into the food and the atmosphere of this tiny gem!
