Had a great experience at Cactus Club in Boston! We tried almost all of the appetizers, and the ravioli trio was hands down my favorite, so good. The truffle fries and sticky ribs were a close second favorite. For sushi, the salmon aburi was my top pick, and the peach Bellini was definitely my favorite drink. For my entrée, I had the peppercorn steak. The seasoning was a solid 10/10, but unfortunately the steak itself was a bit too fatty for my liking. Shoutout to our waitress Maddy, who truly went above and beyond and made the experience even better. I also loved the aesthetic of the restaurant, great vibe all around. We made reservations in advance so we had no wait. Will definitely be back!

I’d heard so many great things, and it truly lives up to the hype. The ambiance is elegant and vibey, with moody yet warm lighting that sets the perfect tone. The menu offers a wide variety of options, along with an extensive cocktail list. We tried several appetizers, entrées, and drinks, and everything was outstanding. There’s too much to name, but trust me, the food and drinks are delicious, full of flavor, and perfect for sharing (or enjoying all to yourself). A few standout favorites were the Peach Bellini (basically a slushy that tastes like peach rings), the sushi set, the spaghetti Portofino, and the steak. I’d honestly come back just for those. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. I usually don’t love seafood pasta, but I finished the spaghetti Portofino so quickly, it was that good. Service was just okay and a bit slow, but it was busy and they had just opened, so that was understandable. Despite that, everyone who came by our table, including our server, was very friendly and welcoming. There’s still so much more to try, and it’s a great spot for any occasion. Can’t wait to come back and try more!

Petra was phenomenal!!!!! OMG she’s the best! She had great recommendations, amazing personality/energy and was sooo welcoming. We had the best time at Cactus club cafe mainly because of her! Food was flavorful and delicious. Definitely coming back soon! xoxo

Walked in expecting another boring cookie-cutter Back Bay chain, but the food here was punching way above its class. Our server mentioned that their chef partner Rob Feenie won Iron Chef over a decade ago, and the Truffle Ravioli is apparently the dish that helped him win the title. Things like truffle beurre blanc is relatively old school French techniques, but the sauce work overall was closer to fine dining stuff than typical New American/ elevated tavern style. From the small plates, we got the salmon aburi roll and the sticky garlic ribs, and both were solid. Familiar stuff you expect from polished gastropub like this. The real differences were in the mains/pasta. All three dishes we ordered (Spaghetti Portofino, Butter Squash Ravioli, and Miso Caramel Seabass) were fantastic. I was especially blown away by the dashi butter and miso caramel combo in the sea bass, which was insanely punchy and addictive. The bass itself wasn't the most buttery cut I’ve had, but once the rice underneath absorbed that sauce, the flavor just exploded. The squash ravioli was an unexpected hit. Personally not a huge fan of sweet pasta, but it completely avoided the awkward sweetness you often get with squash and mascarpone, and the truffle beurre blanc anchored the dish with a necessary, savory depth. The drinks were also very reasonably priced given the location (actually felt cheap), so this might become our new go-to hangout spot in Back Bay.

Absolutely loved our experience. The atmosphere was super vibrant and energetic—perfect for a fun night out. The food was amazing. We started with the ceviche, which was fresh and flavorful, and the carpaccio was incredibly tender. We also ordered the med bowl- their falafels were perfectly crispy and full of flavor. The peppercorn steak was a standout: super tender, incredibly flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Drinks were just as good. I had an Old Fashioned, which was excellent, and we also tried the Tropical cocktail, which was very fruity and refreshing. Special shout-out to our server Elise, service was truly 10/10. She was attentive, friendly, and even brought me extra cherries for my Old Fashioned because I told her I was obsessed with them 🥺 Overall, an amazing experience from start to finish. Thank you for such great food, drinks, and service—we’ll definitely be back!

Welcome to your new spot for drinks, date night, girl's night, even casual get together! Atmosphere- 3 different seating area. I picked the enclosed patio area with heated lamps for an extra cozy feel. Bonus points for the throw blanket left on the chair. Lovely artwork that blended without being overwhelming. Seating and walking space was decent. Service- from hostess to wait staff everyone was great and attentive. If you're not sure what to get definitely ask your server. Our order was picked based on his recommendations! Food & drinks- We start with the Paper crane and Tropic like it's hot both delicious but the star was the red Sangria. I look forward to summer outdoor sipping with that one. For appetizers we had the calamari which was light and airy and the citrus dipping sauce was a lovely surprise. I had the house burger and fries which was juicy. The burger was cooked medium as recommend by the chef and came fully assembled with lettuce, tomato and pickles (iykyk). The truffle chicken and gnocchi dish was so good the dish was cleared in no time 😋. For dessert we had the creme brulee and it was one of the best I've ever had everything about was a 10. We left overall satisfied and enjoyed the vibe the space. I would want more curated cocktails and food options since they are based in Canada.

i can’t begin to express how lovely dinner was tonight. aside of the food being absolutely delicious, we got the sticky garlic ribs and the crab and spinach dip to start off then the truffle parmesan chicken and the creole steak, the service was amazing. olivia m went above and beyonddd. what a lovely girl. she was really attentive. she even sent us over mini shots 🤣❤️ i will definitely be back just to come see her!

We had a wonderful experience dining here. The restaurant is brand new, and you can immediately tell by the fresh, inviting ambiance — it’s a really nice place to spend an evening. As for the food, several dishes truly stood out: The sea bass was absolutely exquisite — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily the star of the night. The steak frites were really good, well-seasoned with great texture. The chicken tacos were good as well, a solid option if you’re in the mood for something lighter. We started with the spinach dip, which was incredibly creamy and comforting. And for dessert, the chocolate cake was delicious, rich without being overwhelming. Since the place is new, the service still has room to improve, but everyone was friendly and the potential is definitely there. Overall, a lovely meal with some truly memorable dishes — we’ll definitely be back!

I am probably a little biased since I worked at Cactus Club Cafe years ago in Vancouver, but I still think it's worth rating when food tastes great and the service was amazing. I loved the Bellini and cajun chicken sandwich, while my husband loved an avocado kale salad and salmon sushi (which I also tasted both and thought they were both great as well). Our waiter, Grayson also had great suggestions. I have tried quite a few just ok restaurants in Boston, but Cactus Club really stands out.

Back again at Cactus Club Cafe Boston on a Friday night, and it continues to earn its spot in my rotation. This place continues to be reliable in the best way from great vibes along with solid food and drinks. We stuck with mocktails this time as we were doing dry January. The Margarita Zero, Little Pearl, and Hey Hibiscus were all refreshing, balanced, and thoughtfully made. My personal ranking was Hey Hibiscus (favorite), Little Pearl and then the Margarita Zero. Food highlights were strong: the Sticky Garlic Ribs were fall-off-the-bone delicious, and the Warm Pull Apart Bread made a repeat appearance because it's simply a must-order. The Sushi Set was clean and satisfying. My personal favorites from the Sushi Set were Torched Salmon Aburi and Tuna Temaki. The Steak & Lobster was the only miss for me as both lacked flavor, but the truffle fries were excellent. Finished the night with the Six Layer Chocolate Slice dessert, which was rich, indulgent, and worth every bite. What really elevated the night was the phenomenal service. Our server, Rianne, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and fully on top of her game, making the whole experience feel seamless and welcoming. Cactus Club continues to be a dependable go-to for a relaxed night out and I'll gladly be back again!

Super exciting new place on Boylston- fun young vibes with a lot of business right now! The bar was totally packed and the line at 8pm was crazy. We arrived 20 mins late to our 5pm reservation and they kindly held our table. Honestly think it's worth the wait- cocktails and mocktails are fantastic. Apps were fabulous too but happy hour deals recommended... 4-6pm before Friday. Looooved the calamari and avocado dip, which was surprisingly not guacamole! It's very creamy and herby, as was the ceviche. Nothing was too spicy or salty- just loved it all. We were sat by the window so thankfully we could all hear one another despite the bustle. Very attentive service and items came out quickly! Will be returning.

Incredible service! Provided great recommendations and were very attentive. We had a tremendous appetizers and the old fashioned was also memorable. Will definitely be back with friends in the future.

Very excited for the opening of this restaurant! I saw their sign in the window for months and had to snag a res when they announced their opening. The inside is really spacious and had a very nice ambiance. Perfect for a date night or a girls night! We ordered some drinks, which were really good and sweet. It was happy hour, so we also got the sushi platter. Unfortunately, they were all out of crab so we couldn't try the crab roll or the crab dip. We opted for calamari and extra salmon instead. We also tried the fish tacos, which were really well seasoned and crunchy. Our server recommended the key lime pie for dessert, and it was probably my favorite thing we tried!!! Overall, I think the service was kind of slow (took like 20min to get the check) but that's probably because they just opened. Pricey, but fun to visit!

My best friend heard the Cactus Club Cafe had recently opened so we decided to give it a try for dinner. The two of us had a res for 7:45 and were seated after a few minutes of waiting. The restaurant is beautiful and we got a cozy booth. I was really pleased with my experience!! The service was lovely - very attentive. And we absolutely loved the food and drinks, to the point where there was not a single item that we wouldn't come back for. We tried the bellini and blood orange margarita, both frozen drinks, which were so delicious and refreshing (not too boozy either). To start we shared the pull apart bread (comes with an herb butter that is so soft and divine) and an avocado dip that we inhaled. For entrees I had the rigatoni bolognese, which contains a beautiful mix of beef and pork ragu, and my friend had the cajun chicken sandwich. We both deeply enjoyed these plates. I have only positive things to say about the food, the wait staff, and the overall vibe. I'm hoping to try more on the menu soon!

Hip new place for good cocktails and bites. Came here a few days ago with friends and almost couldn't get in because they were so busy but we managed to get a table. The hosts and waiter were very very friendly and even recommended some cocktails and appetizers which did not disappoint. I had the Penicillin and the paper crane: both very well made though not strong. We also got the Szechuan lettuce wraps and butternut squash ravioli with shrimp which came recommended. Both were great but the ravioli were standout. And I can't forget the 6 layer chocolate cake; SOO chocolatey and moist! Unfortunately the price of food was a bit high for a chain restaurant imho but at least the drinks were typically priced and overall quality good. I'll be back for sure. I was very excited to try the cactus club Café, as it had been under construction in my neighborhood all year... and it did not disappoint! Our waitress got off you a rocky start by calling me the wrong name and wishing me happy birthday... But, it was actually our 25th anniversary. (They personalized our reservation and special occasion... but clearly she had the wrong table.) Nonetheless, she was very friendly, informal, and "hanging with us tonight." I LOVE that they actually offered non-alcoholic drinks tempting enough to order. They were almost $10 apiece... And I'd order them again. The food was exceptionally good and the chef put a new twist on every dish that we've already tried. We had the ziti Bolognese, and they added crunchy fennel seeds and spicy sausage. We had the salmon and they placed it on a subtle savory Dijon sauce. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with dim lighting and comfy corner booths. THE DEAL: if you want a fresh food twist on old fab faves, check out the cactus club café!

Absolutely gorgeous interior. We had a table but decided to sit at the bar. It was a great time. The dining room is bustling, everything is comfortable and the interior designer went all out. I thought the food was 10 out of 10 as well. I highly recommend the salmon sushi, the fries and pull apart bread was also amazing. Highly recommend! They do get busy so I would come early or make a reservation.

Just went for their opening party and I'm impressed-- the vibes, the drinks, the food (wagyu toast) are incredible. Can't wait to come back for a full dinner. TLDR: This place lives up to the hype. Food is a 10/10. The place is beautiful, and service is amazing. A bit on the pricier side, but totally worth it for a nice outing imo. Thank me later . -- I've heard a lot of hype about Cactus Club Cafe's grand opening in Boston from both tiktok and my friends, and since my family was coming to visit me, what better way to try it out for the first time? First, it's in an amazing location in backbay - situated right by the BPL and newbury street. We were able to do some neighborhood exploring before our reservation. Our reservation was for lunchtime on Christmas eve day (a random time, I know). Even so, it was still packed - which I loved because I prefer busy, lively atmospheres at restaurants anyways. Now for the main event - the food. It was DELICIOUS. And in the word's of my father (words he actually uttered during/after we finished our meal): "I don't mind paying for an expensive meal when it's good." Couldn't have said it better myself, David. The food was just that good. Honestly, the Boston food scene can get quite pricey anyways without always delivering, but Cactus Club absolutely delivered. We ordered two apps: sticky garlic ribs and szechuan lettuce wraps. Probably my favorite part of the entire lunch, and I could have ordered seconds. For the mains, we ordered: the soy dijon mustard salmon, the thai red curry, the med bowl, and the bacon cheddar burger (I can't control my brother's eating habits, sorry). All was really good, except nothing could top the apps. Final notes: the place is BEAUTIFUL. I would totally come back for cocktails to just sit at the bar (and get some pics). And lowkey I'll be suggesting this place for my next GNO. Also, the service was great! Everyone was super kind and helpful.

Really enjoyed my experience here! Staff was really attentive and friendly, water was constantly refilled! It was busy and loud but we still felt priority from staff. As someone with celiac I was glad to see the gluten free options on this menu. We really loved the avocado dip! I got the starters of the fried hot honey chicken and pickles (gluten free) and Parmesan truffle fries (gluten free). Really prime location and great food and service!

Vibes here are great, love the decor. Went on New Year's Day and it was packed but got a seat at the bar. The peach Bellini is worth the hype. For food: Chicken sliders - disappointed. The bun to chicken ratio was way off. The amount of chicken was literally about the size of a fast food nugget. Tasted good, hopefully they fix this. Sticky garlic ribs - amazing! One of the best ribs I've had in the city. Meat was perfectly tender. Miso Caramel Sea Bass - loved it, reminded me a bit of the Nobu Black Cod Miso. Some might find the sauce overpowering but I liked it, especially with the rice.

Food was amazing, we had fried tofu lettuce wrap and sticky ribs for apps. These were amazing starters. I'm hit or miss when it comes to tofu but this was seasoned to perfection and did not have your typical tofu texture. As for my entree I thoroughly enjoyed my 8 oz steak frites with a side of kale salad. I loved the option to switch out the regular fries, I went with truffle fries and the entree overall was a solid 10 out of 10. Flavor out of this world. We ended the meal with their 7 layer chocolate cake that I can't stop raving about. I'm usually not into chocolate cake but Cactus club made me a fan it was so rich and it came with a scoop of ice cream and homemade black cherries. Overall this is the place to go for dinner. You will thank me later, whether it's a date night or casual dinner with friends it's a must.

This has been the best dining experience I've had in years. The service was amazing, the vibes were great, and the food was even better. It was the best sushi I've ever had, I even ordered a second sushi set at the end!!!

Way bigger than I expected with two separate bar and dining room sections. Decor is unique and beautiful. Great aesthetic for a date spot. Negroni and paper crane were both good. Ceviche was decent sized, fresh, and flavorful. One thing is they advertise as having a DJ but he's just in the corner right by dining tables playing ambient house music. At least on a Friday this definitely did not turn into a dance/club vibe. The staff was awesome; super helpful, friendly, and fun.

Love this place! This place is huge, theres so much seating. And the service was also amazing. I made a reservation for a group of 6 and we had a big round booth which was very comfortable and cozy. The food was also great! I had the bolognese rigatoni and the others had things like chicken sandwiches and burgers that were all good portion sizes. I had my toddler with me and even though they didn't have a kids menu, the waitress provided me with options like chicken tenders for my daughter. The waitress we had was amazing, she made great suggestions for drinks and was very friendly. Can't wait to come back!

Total wow! Went for their first soft opening week - amazing food from start to finish. Perfect miso sea bass, outstanding seafood platter with an amazing mix of fresh lobster, sushi, ceviche and sashimi, lemongrass noodles that rocked and many vegetarian options. Such a cool vibe and outstanding service in a gorgeous setting and some of the most outstanding drinks we've had (amazing frozen peach belini, a creative and delicious white sangria with peach plus apricot brandy and an amazing array of mocktails including a De Nada Limonada, Brazilian style with while lime and sweetened condensed milk - try it, you'll love it.

Had lunch here today after seeing multiple positive reviews and it definitely delivered. This is a large restaurant, all brand new inside, very cool ambiance. Service is great, feels high end and casual at the same time. Started with some cocktails, the Bellini may be the best cocktail I've ever had in Boston. I was transcended after that first sip. It tastes like the freshest peach you've ever had. For starters we got the chicken and pickles, very crispy with a decent amount of heat, very addictive. For entrees I had the steak frites, steak was cooked perfectly. I did get the truffle fries with it instead of regular ones and I was very happy with that decision. The kale salad on the plate was fantastic, I would definitely eat this salad solo as an entree. My husband got the sushi set and cleaned the plate in no time. For dessert, we had the chocolate peanut butter bar which was so yummy. Great balance of peanut butter and chocolate with awesome crunchy texture, was like a very high end butter finger. Can't wait to return, especially in the summer, they have a huge patio and one of their Bellinis a sunny day sounds like heaven.

Food was okay. The crab dip and the truffle fries were good! The peach Bellinis were 1000000/10 it tasted like a peach ring candy! The service was good, didn't really like the fact that the waiter was hovering over my party to see what we were going to tip?!?! Kinda awkward but I digress. The ambiance is beautiful very modern and sexy. Will definitely come back!

A very nice addition to the neighborhood and it's not the same cactus club from way back when. They are from Canada. The whole crew lifted from Canada to open this first US location and they are doing a fabulous job with the service. Night much enjoyed. Two bar areas to choose from and we were guided to two very comfy seats in the outdoor bar area (heated for the winter). The bartender was super attentive to our food sensitivities. They have vegan mayo to substitute. We liked the decor, varied menu, drinks and food.

From the minute we walked in, we experienced horrific service. The host acted like she couldn't find our reservation asking us a million questions - it felt like the RMV. When we finally were checked in , it took 24 minutes to be "seated" so we opted to stay at the bar. The service as the bar, however, was notorious. We did not even receive any water. No one took ownership of waiting on us and we never fully were able to order. I wanted to have a full dinner but sadly only had apps and two drinks because no one ever came back. We finally closed the check and a bartender said "you guys sneaking out?" - yet she never even helped us order dinner! Also upon closing the check we had to double check it was correct which just seemed even more insane because clearly they couldn't keep track of everyone's orders.

Had 5:45 reservations and arrived 15 minutes early and they sat us down right away. The decor was beautiful, service was great. The drinks were good and the food was very good.

We went with a group of 8 on a Saturday night and were seated promptly with our reservation time. The service and food were excellent. Will definitely return .

Rare 5.0 overall was our experience. Had dinner at 6:30 long lines at that point but we got right in with our reservation using Dorisia. Very large Resturant , great art, nicely done. We had great round booth and a bottle of Great prosecco waiting for us ( anniversary) . The manager Adriana was delightful and Tatum our waiter provided excellent service all night. Our group of 4 shared The shawarma Bowl 4.0, salt and pepper Chicken wings 5.0 small & very nice get extra ranch, and rigatoni great taste could have been hotter but taste 5.0. For dinner had Seabass over rice 5.0, fantastic, Chicken Sandwich 4.0 ( it's big) and the Creole chicken 5.0 , and sushi platter 5.0 Desert , key lime pie 5.0 and most childless cup 5.0 So, it seems like the Resturant has 2 sides, one that appears might be an outdoor one in summer - buttoned down nicely for winter. I was surprised it wasn't louder in there, but conversation across the table was easy. Nice sized oval bar, ceiling design perfect. Great job, Boston luckily to have this new style Resturant only 2 in the USA . Why is in Toronto, Canada. Going back Primo evening Oh ... We left at 8pm and there was line outside to get in, forget trying to do a walk in with no reservation.

My first visit to the restaurant was alright. The service was pleasant, with Madison from Canada and another young lady she was training. The food was well-cooked, but I noticed a bit of sweetness. The Bellini drink everyone's talking about is very sweet and not quite enjoyable. The atmosphere is nice, though it's a large space and doesn't quite live up to the hype.

Off the bat the vibes of the restaurant were great, artwork featured by Anthony Ricciardi throughout. Waiter was very kind, continuously coming in to check in with us, we actually learned he's from their Vancouver location which was neat! Food and drinks came out in a timely manner. Great spot - wishing them all the best in Boston!

Great new spot in Back Bay! The food and drinks were great and service was incredible. The ambiance is really beautiful. Definitely recommend. We didn't need to wait for a table but on a Saturday afternoon it was busy so recommend grabbing a reservation if you can.

We went during the opening week and the service was excellent. We sat in the patio and it was December but they had it adequately heated with nice little touches like pillows and blankets to make sure that everyone was warm and cozy. The Mediterranean bowl is amazing and the array of appetizers felt bougie. The actual restaurant has a cool aesthetic that can easily pull in a variety of crowds depend depending on the hour and vibe.

Came in for a birthday, we were immediately sat and given water, someone came over to take our drink orders and after we got them nobody came back over for about 25 mins. My whole party works in the service industry for 10 plus years. 2 out of the 6 being managers. At this point we were all trying to be patient but eventually called a server over. Another person came over saying she will no longer be taking care of us and someone else will, that he will be right over to introduce himself and take our orders. I wish I was joking , another 20 mins goes by, he finally comes, acts confused, at this point we don't even want entrees, I mean at least I didn't. I wasn't interested in staying another 5 mins! The place is nice and I get things being confusing especially with a newly opening restaurant but when you have 15 plus waiters / waitresses / mangers walking by and not one checks in on you. It's a little weird! As for the food, the apps were ok; entrees needed lots of work.

Man, gee, what a place. Ambiance: It's pretty cool inside. Feels like the place where James Bond grabs a martini in the beginning of the movie. Food: Good in absolute terms but pretty expensive compared to what you can get elsewhere. The bread is absolutely not worth paying for. It's mildly sweet and so is the butter. It's definitely "Instagram food" that looks pretty but isn't actually good. Plus, if you're gonna charge me for bread, you better put down an absolute banger of a loaf. And as I've already mentioned, yeah, not a banger. The sushi platter is actually very tasty, but it's quite expensive. The salmon in particular was my favorite; my girlfriend liked the dynamite roll. I got a burger and my girlfiend got the steak frites. While we both enjoyed our food, I wouldn't say either was special. The chocolate cake was tasty and moist, but $19.50? You can get stellar ice cream or chocolate around the corner for a lot less. Service: The waittress was friendly, but everything took forever to come out. It was 40 minutes for our appetizers and another 40 for the entrees. Hopefully they'll figure that out, since we went on the second day it was open. Anyway it's a decent place.

We went to the Cactus Club for lunch after it had been open for only a few days, so we had no idea what to expect. My first impression was that the décor was luxurious, but not in a traditional sense. The walls are hard to describe. The best I can do is to say they are made of narrow wood panels spaced apart from each other, back lit by warm, white light. This does not do it justice. The effect is one of grand, but casual, luxury. It is as if you were invited into the home of some wealthy individual and told it was OK to take your shoes off. It has to be seen to be understood. As far as the food is concerned, I can only report on what the people at my table had, and all of it was delicious. I ordered parmesan French fries as something to nibble on while I looked at the menu. What arrived was an impossibly generous amount of French fries, which I thought I could never finish. I was wrong. They were the best fries I have ever tasted, and I gobbled them up. The parmesan chicken breast I ordered was next. I expected a single cutlet of chicken breast, but was served the full breast, boneless, indescribably crispy and coated with a delicious covering of seasoned parmesan. It was much better than that description. My companions' orders of salads, fish and other entrees were all as good as my chicken, which is to say, excellent. The service here is flawless. The wait staff is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. In all, this was one of the most satisfying restaurant experiences I have had in Boston. I will certainly return often, and I recommend it without any reservation.

Place was shit. Food bad. Servers terrible and staff is slow. Ambiance was alright. The staff was very rude and my friends and I were upset

The food was great, but the experience was weird. We were checked on by three different people within minutes of getting our drinks. Then we were asked to move to another table -- we asked our new waitress why we had to move - it was to make room for a group of influencers. After we moved, no one checked on us. Strange experience but excellent food. - also when we booked our reservation it said we would receive a $25 gift, which we never received.

nice place with wonderful drinks but cannot even get a real person to answer the phone? if I am paying what they charge, I expect them not to use an AI, let alone one that straight up does not work. will not be returning.
