The hostess / waitress had a fun, welcoming attitude. The food was flavorful, and the vegetables for the fajitas were fresh and delicious. The tortillas, however, didn’t seem to be house-made. You are more than welcome to go and experience it yourself.

The "birria" tacos are just plain roast beef in a dry corn tortilla. I could not detect any seasoning on the beef whatsoever. Tasted like plain roast beef. They do not dredge the tortilla through any consommé either. They were pretty awful. The dry corn tortilla is not good at all. The consommé was just roast beef broth with a few onions and a flake or two of cilantro (?) maybe. The street corn is made with canned corn and was gross! Never had street corn with canned corn. Yuck. The chips and salsa are really good! So that's what I ate. My husband liked his relleno. Visited- Saturday lunch 10/4/25

The chicken is not fresh its precooked from walmart!!! I COULDNT ..BELIEVE..IT!!! ** AND no seasoning except on the chips Server was VERY good. But I need really chicken 🐔

Parking is a mess. The wait in lines were horrible. Hostess seemed pissed the whole time, not one smile. Food was ok, I was expecting more flavor. Our waitress was awesome. Would like to try it again. The prices were decent.

I just ate the most delicious meal accompanied with the most superior service by both the kitchen staff and our server Amanda! I would recommend this restaurant for it's delicious food, beautiful atmosphere and welcoming/ courteous staff.

Kids loved it here, waiter was on point, food was nice and hot and very flavorful also. The watermelon margaritas was amazing! Point on and bathrooms was also clean!

We waited a long time to get service. Workers kept walking past our table, and they were standing around in the front just talking. We were about to leave when one of the waitresses noticed us just sitting there. She went to the front and asked them if anyone had taken our order and they just looked lost. She came over and apologized and said she would serve us. Very nice, attentive young lady. I wish I had remembered her name because she really was an outstanding server. The food was good.

The food was delicious and the price was good for the amount of food served. We ordered the Mexican Cheese Sticks for an appetizer and they were great! We ordered the fajita nachos and the Birria Tacos plate for our entrees Both were delicious. We also had Virgin Piña Coladas that were refreshing. It took a while for a server to show up but she was great when she took our orders. We will still go back. This place continues to be delicious! The street elote is delicious 😋! Our waitress tonight was great!

Cada Vez accommodated my big family group on short notice, much appreciated! I have been to several large gatherings here and they have really perfected serving big groups. I'm always impressed with the service! And I haven't ordered anything that wasn't delicious. Love this place!

Our first visit because our family suggested it and we loved it!! The food was great and the service was even better. Everyone loved their food! I got the rellenos and because they were small, they doubled up my order. They also give you a choice of sauces for the rellenos AND a choice for your side! No more standard rice and beans here! There are tons of tvs so it's great for a loud group or to catch a game. The highlight of our visit was our server Mary. She was joyful and made great suggestions, but she's one of those servers you come back for.

My Chile lime chicken salad had a puddle of water at the very bottom. I didn't know until afterrr mixing all my ranch into it. It was like eating watery ranch and the seasoning on my chicken came riiiiiight offff. Me was not very happy. Me was sad. MUY not bueno. Best thing we got was French fries and queso.

This is our favorite place to eat Mexican food!!! When Leal's closed we were left without our favorite go-to until we discovered this place. We love the atmosphere and the staff is always so friendly and we enjoy our dining experience. The food is outstanding! This is another place I love to introduce friends and family to!

Delicious food and lots of menu choices. The chips have a delicious seasoned salt on them and the salsa is flavorful. The table had the birria tacos, fried chimichanga and carnita nachos. Everyone was very pleased! The restaurant has a lot of seating available, if it's not busy you can sit in either the restaurant side or the lounge. Tons of televisions to watch your favorite sporting event!

I cannot, for the life of me, fathom a restaurant that has ZERO handicap parking places!!!! I believe this violates the Americans with Disabilities Act. Further, the parking situation as a whole is pretty bad. Luckily, my lunch mate found a parking place pretty close by.....but still was a struggle for her. Food ok.

Cara Vez has a great setting. The service was great. We had a larger party and our waitress did a fantastic job and had 3 other large tables too. I had a blueberry chilton which was delicious! The birria tacos, relleno, and enchiladas were great. My husband ordered a steak fajita chimichanga. They brought him chicken and he ate it anyway saying it was delicious. When he let the waitress know at the end, she immediately told her manager who discounted the chimichanga. That wasn't necessary, but obviously good management. Great ambiance, great food, and great service!

The food was very good. We received exactly what we ordered and the taste of both meals were very good. The atmosphere was good. It more crowed as the brunch went on. We arrived at 12:00 noon on Sunday. Our server was Mary and was very friendly until she disappeared after our meal arrived. We never received more salsa or chips. We had beers that were listed on the happy hour menu and were charged full price for my wife's beer. We will return at a less crowded time.

Worst service I have ever had there. Been there 5 times and always sat in the bar area. Tonight was a special family birthday dinner with 8 family members. They did not seem that busy on the family sitting side. We waited 15 mins before I asked the hostess who our server was so we could order drinks... finally someone came and we ordered drinks and food at once. Food came out fast- but no server came back to see what else we needed.. we needed drink refills and more salsa with our dinner and never got it. Server eventually came back and asked if we needed anything and I asked for the ticket all together. He looked at his electronic device and said I will be back- 10 mins later he came back to take our card on the electronic. I was not impressed with the server and he never apologized ... at least lie and say you're short staffed and busy.

This is a pretty new place in town square Amarillo, and business has been booming recently, so we decided to try it out with some friends. We ordered the Carne Asada Fries & Boracho Nachos as our appetizers. The carne Asada fries, are actually seasoned curly fries. The carne Asada was hardly noticeable, and was chopped so small it was similar to ground beef. They tasted good, and had a good flavor; but not typically something that you may expect to get when you think of a TRADITIONAL Mexican restaurant. These are closer to to something that Chili's, Applebee's, or Denny's would serve for cheese fries. The drinks came after our appetizers. The pina colada was great. This did not come out of a vending machine, it's a drink that was made in the bar. The waitress did forget to put in a couple of the drinks, so our friends waited quite a while for that. The torta has a good flavor under the chaos of the lettuce and bread. A typical torta would have a lot more meat than this one did. The portion of the meat was somewhat disappointing. The side was curly fries. Nachos had the same cheese from the fries and Cholula hot sauce on them. There was not any salsa that came with it as a side. This particular nacho dish had Barbacoa meat and it actually had a good amount on the dish. It was served on a round tin. They have a half order and a full order we ordered the half. It was pretty big. While the food was good, don't expect to get "Authentic" Mexican food.

Wow..i really had higher hopes. This was a sad, very disappointing dinner. Queso was very bland (guessing from a can?). It was nothing but nacho cheese. Had to add the salsa to it to make it taste like anything. That was a waste of $9. The corn soft taco was so greasy and the pork also had no flavor... with all the flavor combinations in El Pastor you would think it would have taste...WRONG. Unless you count grease as a taste? Complete waste. Meat was chewy..the street corn was good..papa's were not bad.. the enchiladas were also not worth it and the Chili Relleno was disgusting and greasy.... $60 completely wasted. I didn't eat but one bite. 75% of food left on the table. The waitress was super nice. not her fault. We just paid and left. I can't recommend this place AT ALL... my taste buds are very sad and so is our wallet. If I could give it less than 1 star, I would.

We love this place. I met a friend who had a first time experience here this week and it did not disappoint! Shout out to Drew who was our server! He seemed to love his job and life in general. Lots of great energy I don't encounter in people often. My chimichanga was perfect! I always enjoy the street corn and papas for my sides. This year is about making choices that make my life better. Choosing this place definitely ranks high in that regard!

I had Birria taco plate it was greasy but good I had a charlatan to drink and my cousin had a chicken enchilada plate and it was delicious the food more geared towards those who aren't fond of spicy like myself I do not recommend strawberry margarita more sweet than anything for $10 I want more tequila have fun and judge for yourselves

Bad food. Queso is terrible. Taste like canned with some Rotel. Margaritas are not drinkable. Sickeningly sweet. Using a really bad mix.

I was at this restaurant for a company dinner .. so a very large group.. the food was FANTASTIC! I had the crispy beef Chile rellano it was so yummy that I would go back to this restaurant over and over again! Priscilla was one of our waitress's and she was so awesome and very attentive! Great atmosphere.. a definite must!

Outstanding Mexican food. Appetizers we shared carne asada fries, Barilla eggrolls. My plate was the Fajita Chimicangas with papas and street corn. Drew was our server and he was awesome. The service of food was fast and everything we ordered was amazing. The ambiance was sports bar setting. This is definitely a place we will visit again. They do offer military discount as well with proof of identification. That is a plus.

I tried this place back in early 2020 And I was not impress. Forward to 2023 I gave it another try and I was very impressed Food have gone much better and the service was top! I try to make it out there once a week! Because the food is good and more importantly the servers are very attentive and helpful Drew and Mary especially Ty for taking care of me and my family wen we eat out there

We just had the worse service ever. It took forever to be helped. Then when we were helped he quickly took our drink order and started walking away. We had to say, "Excuse me" we'd like queso. He didn't even come back to the table. He said ok from where he was and just started walking. He didn't ask what size. What if we wanted something else? After waiting forever, he brought our drinks. Then he stared at them for the longest trying to remember which was which. Then he WALKED AWAY. Our menus were down and to the side. It's not like we were still browsing and looking at it. Then he started helping everyone but us and taking orders of people that came in after us. Worse service ever. We got up and left.

Food is great! Service is always good! Sunday brunch is the best in town!. Servers are very friendly and always like to get to known the customers .

Not eating here anymore. Got our order wrong. Service while picking up food was rude. The queso is now more a nacho cheese that you get at a convenience store. Chicken fajitas are very bland now. I don't know what changed, but this place is going downhill.

Where do I begin... of course location. It is in the vicinity of Cinergy and other businesses, not great parking. The outside has curb appeal. But stepping in just ruins a vibe. Their is no music or anything to give you basic vibe. Took a while for our waitress to greet but when she did, we ordered drinks, app and meal. The drinks were quick. I got the mango margarita, husband a beer. My margarita had soooo much chopped mango, I could hardly drink a full sip. It was tasty though. Our entrees came out and I had to ask for appetizer. They got our order wrong just a bit. Nothing to complain about. The guy quickly grabbed our appetizer. So the food. Overall it was luke warm to cold. I got fish tacos, that were beyond salty. (And I love salt) so I ate only 1. My husband loved his barbacoa plate. The birria eggrolls were a total let down. I will not be back. If your looking for mexican food, I suggest Bracero's.

Use to enjoy going to Cada Vez on a weekly dinner. Everything was always so good until the last time I went. Ordered the beef quesadillas, they were so greasy that later that night I got so sick due to all the grease that ended up going to emergency room for care. I will not be going back for a very long time, especially if their food is going to be so greasy that it doesn't even taste good.

We've been coming here pretty regularly the past few months and the food is always good and never had any real complaints about the service. The bar area always has plenty of sports games for you to choose to watch. They have great sopes and flautas, as well as great margaritas. I recommend trying the carne asada and the barbacoa as both were great choices the last time we went. Parking for the restaurant is a bit lacking due to the location and can be a bit of a walk through Town Square, but that is dependent on how busy the area is at the time. Overall if you want some good food and drinks, this place is a great option to pick.

We went once and the service was good and the food was okay! I really liked the corn it was kind of like corn in a cup. Would probably return.

Took me good twice to find the food item, I didn't expect to crave! But their biras? Tacos!!! Everything with that dish is simply delicious. Tv can be way too loud if you sit in that area. They don't think it's too loud, but it's so loud that you can't have a conversation at all. But otherwise, I'd you get good seating, try those tacos. Their really good.

Table of 4 for dinner. All ordered Rellenos (hard to find fried meat rellenos) in a combo plate with enchiladas. Excellent! Various sauces ordered. Roja sauce, no bueno, tasted like chili powder. The other sauces, queso, and hot sauces were super good. Servers need to make drink orders a priority. We had to ask for ours. This Is a revenue buster in some cases. Did NOT like the way they close out tickets. We didn't see our ticket until AFTER we paid for our meal. Will remember to request that next time. That isn't good business ethics. We will return however. Really good Mexican food.

Overpriced, small portions, and slow service. I waited 15 minutes for a single beer with an empty bar. Do yourself a favor and patronize one of the many better Mexican restaurants in Amarillo

I liked the food but their services is really lacking, we had to wait for our drinks and the ticket, the wait service seems not to smile too much or are they hospitable, will I go back again, no I won't due to the service but that's my opinion

I was pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. FREE CHIPS AND SALSA!! I feel like life is almost back to normal. They provide a mild and spicy salsa. The service was super quick and I love that they can split the bills and pay right at the table. I got a combo platter; chicken relleno with queso, 2 chicken enchiladas with verde sauce and an asada taco. The relleno and enchiladas were great, the asada wasnt that great. My least favorite part were the charro beans, didn't have a ton of flavor and the texture was lacking. The street corn is banging, so cheesy and the portion is great. I love that they have side options, it helps when you're with a group and you can mix and match. I do want to come back for happy hour, I think it's mon-friday 4-7.

This is a new restaurant in Town Square. Just across from Cinergy Entertainment Center. Nice, restaurant and sports bar. Our server was outstanding (didn't get her name). I had a chile relleno with ground beef and a taco. The relleno was good with a little too much cheese for me. The taco flavor was excellent (although a bit greasy). My sides were charro beans and street corn. The street corn was also excellent. Wife had the crispy relleno which she liked very much. We will definitely be back a second time!

2 stars bc the drinks are cheap & strong. The food may have improved since I ate last, but I remember it being quite bland. I'm a white girl & my kitchen gets down harder than this establishment. My husband is Mexican & refused his food lol. The environment could be fun but I think the energy is way off. Most of the staff seemed confused, or maybe just highly inexperienced in the restaurant business.

Excellent cuisine and amazing service. We enjoyed their birria and camaron ala diabla and birria roll. We had two amazing guys who served our meal almost midnight but they were superb.

7 of us came in tonight and we got a table right away. The food was amazing! We started with a shrimp cocktail, which was served in a giant mug. That made it sort of hard to eat, but the taste was great. We ordered the dip trio also, but we never got it. For the main course, I had a fried chili relleno with carnitas meat and poblano cream sauce and a barbacoa enchilada. They were both so good. I had street corn as a side. This is going to be my go to every time I eat here. The street corn has a small amount of heat which was too much for my daughter but I barely felt any heat. The food gets a 5/5. We only walked about 10 minutes for the entrees, which was nice. As for the service, I would have to say 2.5/5. I know the industry is taking a hit and it's impossible to hire anyone right now. I won't let the slow service change my mind about going back.

The food and service was awesome. We tried the dips sample 2 cheese dips (regular and spicy) and guacamole and salsa also tacos and combo fajitas. Both was so good.

Food was good. The service was abysmal. We were told when we walked in that it would be a 10 minute wait. 45 minutes later we had a table. Both hostesses were on their phones the entire time, dressed like they just got out of bed and really didn't look like they cared at all. Once we were seated, the service was very slow. Caught our server stopping to watch games on the TV's multiple times. There were plenty of servers for the restaurant so I can't chalk this one up to lack of staff. Overall, we were in the restaurant for 3.5 hours. Just not an enjoyable meal at all. Two stars instead of one for the quantity and quality of food.

Food was delicious! Friendly wait staff. We had the enchiladas, street corn & Guisada. Peach Margarita was good too! We will be back soon!

Frequently visit but experience is always mixed. Some servers are great and others no so much. Food is usually good but every time I order no sour cream there is sour cream.

We live out of town and tried this for Sunday brunch before departing and it was outstanding. Everything we ordered was delicious. The service a bit slow but very friendly! Definitely recommend.

I'm writing this one star review as one of the neighbors, despite the food being below average with watered down margaritas, they are terribly inconsiderate to those living above them. They schedule all their services (generators, power washing, vent cleaning, dumpster pickup) to run 1am to 6am every night and I can't take it any more. I have talked to the GMs and owner and they refuse to do anything about it. This place is TRASH and so are the owners.

Great food and service, friendly staff! The shrimp quesadillas and nachos are yummmm. The half nachos are large size anywhere else, very good!

Amazing atmosphere and great staff. Their food portion is huge. I'm bias to the Birria tacos and street corn. Have to have them at least once or twice a week.

Very ghetto! The staff is very unprofessional. Multiple servers engaged with our table while giving subpar service. One of the servers that helped us yelled at one of us while we were having a separate conversation. For a new business this place is not being represented correctly. DO BETTER.

Awful food and terrible service you can tell things are pre heated nothing made fresh sucks had super high hopes but for a mexican restaurant it's more texmex needs improvement.

Tried this place a few months back and the food was great but the service was almost nonexistent. We went through 3 servers in the first 20 minutes of being there and clearly none of them wanted to be there. Went back today because the food was so good and this time our waitress was great. Food was good, service was good, tables were clean, unlike last time. It's getting 5 stars for the barbacoa and the corn. Birria tacos were good my only complaint is they did not put any onions or cilantro on them. And they were kinda thin. You can see a picture of someone else's Birria taco's in an older review and mine were the opposite of that. I was ok with it but looking at those I kinda feel cheated. Hot sauce is pretty good and compared to some other places that is reason enough to come here.

First time there and we will definitely be going back!!! Great guacamole, salsa and frozen pina colada!!! Had Pollo Poblano. Chicken, onions and poblano peppers under a great poblano cream sauce. The street corn was wonderful!! Can't wait to try more!!! Prices were reasonable for amount of food, service was great.

We went for the first time ever on a Wednesday night. I'm gonna preface by saying they weren't busy. Our hostess was great, very sweet girl. Our waitress was not very attentive. She rarely came to check on us and was not going out of her way to be friendly. My husband actually had to wave her down for a chip refill for our appetizer. There were 4 of us. We ordered the dip sampler appetizer. It was the best part of the whole meal. Very tasty! 1 had the beef quesadilla, she loved it. 1 had the burrito, she liked it. 1 had the carnitas enchiladas with a side of fries, it was not great. The fries were good. The enchiladas were very small and had an odd flavor. Then, 1 had barbacoa enchiladas with rice and street corn, the enchiladas again very small (about the size of taquitos). The taste was on point though. The rice and street corn were good. Overall, it wasn't a horrible experience. But, it wasn't good enough that I think I would go back again. The atmosphere was good, the restaurant was clean, but for the price ( which was mostly average) it was just a mediocre/forgettable experience.
