Caddy's Madeira Beach

The views here are simply amazing. You can sit right on the balcony and see the beach, Gulf, and sunset. It’s awesome. We had the grouper sandwich and coconut shrimp basket. Both were pretty good. Nothing to write home about but we weren’t disappointed. I would recommend it. The service and views are worth the visit.

We love this place!! My family went 2 years ago originally to Treasure island and after sitting the sand unprepared. We looked at some restaurants and this one is the best!! The food is amazing the staff are awesome and overall the view. We consider one of our favorite restaurants in Florida since we snowbirds. For anyone new, you should tip the person to give you chairs and an umbrella. Everything is a 10/10

We had a wonderful lunch. Our server, Brooke, was very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. I had the small salad with grilled shrimp, very good. Others had the grouper tacos and grouper sandwich, and said the grouper was delicious! Amazing view, we saw dolphin swimming by in the gulf!

Olivia was amazing and very sweet! Ordered the grouper sandwich and it was fabulous! Best grouper sandwich i have had hands down! And the dill tartar sauce with it was the best tartar hands down! If youre around definitely give them a chance you wont be disappointed! Lovely amazing people and food i will definitely be back!

Food has been fresh and great tasting on several occasions. Good variety on a simple menu. Great cocktails each time. Choice sunset location. Only bad mark is the parking options. Valet or pay-to-park but I suppose the tourists might expect it.

Amazing staff and service. We first made a reservation at Caddy’s Treasure Island, but when we arrived, we saw the building for Caddy’s was not open and they had a tent like structure set up on the sand and tables with umbrellas and were using a food truck as a kitchen. Since I have mobility issues and use a small scooter- I wasn’t sure how to maneuver my way in. We called a staff member over, Katie, who was so kind & helpful- and she recommended going to the Madeira location instead- and called ahead to let them know we were coming and to look for us. From the parking attendant, Jack, to the manager, Jessica, to our server, Mallory,-we were so well taken care of, it was amazing. The view of the Gulf was unbelievable and the food was fantastic. I cannot recommend this location enough. I had the coconut shrimp and my Mother had the Mahi tacos- and both were delicious and generous portions. Perfect evening, thank you

Nice place to eat lunch I don't know how long it's open. It's right on the beach. Sits on second floor and you have to take elevator from parking garage takes you right into restaurant. A little costly. Make sure you bring lots of money. Expensive.

We had a very nice experience here, sitting looking out on the beach, the view was great, until the rain came. There is a nice mix of bar food and American fare. The outdoor patio was very crowded and not easy to move around, other than that, we had a nice dinner here. The tropical snapper dinner was very well prepared and seasoned well. Great place to see the sunset.

Be ready to pay up! There is an automatic 3% tacked on to your bill just for having their doors open! Really? The food is good and serves good, but they up charge for everything. They do have gluten free options, for instance I ordered the mahi tacos that normally come on flour tortillas. Because I ordered it GF they up charged for corn tortillas. This is crazy because corn tortillas are cheaper than flour ones. The view is priceless, which is really what you are paying for.

Grouper bites were amazing! Service was great. View was amazing. Great spot! Definitely a spot to hit.

Stopped in with a friend after lunch after a long beach day. Sat on the 2nd floor overlooking the ocean. Service was great. My friend and I split the snow crab legs and shrimp tacos. Both were so good, especially for beach bar food. Can't wait to come back and try more.

Perfect for sunset views and dinner Service was so-so. While we were at the top in open seating at the bar it was good but once we mi Ed to the bottom by the beach is was little to no service.

3.4 Stars Caddy's Madeira Beach is all about the location. Right on the beach with a fantastic overlook of the ocean--it's a great spot to grab a drink, watch the sunset, and take in the water views. The vibe is laid-back and perfect for a beach day wind-down. The food, however, was just okay. Nothing to rave about, but the prices were reasonable. We tried the Grouper Fingers (probably the best appetizer on the menu) and the Blackened Shrimp Tacos, which were a nice, light option but not super flavorful. If you're coming for the views and cocktails, you'll have a great time. Just don't expect to be wowed by the food.

Horrible Service. Not accommodating. Never got a refill on our water. No checking in, and most of all: When I asked for another taco (I had two Shrimp and wanted one Mahi) They would not provide it, despite someone else in my party getting Mahi anyways, and them being the same price. They said "No" and provided no alternative solution. Would has left right there due to their stupid rule, but I was with a party. 0/5

This is one of my fave restaurants! Great food, views, service and drinks! I loved the tuna tacos and the painkiller. I also like the beach view great for sunset

Good was great! Our family had the Mahi tacos, Grouper sandwich, burger, southwest nachos, and some Key lime pie! Enjoyed time on the beach as well. Convenient to just rent chairs and umbrella on the beach and then take a break and eat some food to take to the beach. Definitely will be back the next time we are back in town. Friendly service!

My wife and I stopped by Caddy's on Thursday, March 27th 2025. We planned on spending the day at the beach and we were enticed by their offer of free chairs and umbrellas! There is a dude sitting next to a stack of lounge chairs that will set you up. He is super helpful and works his butt off. FYI he works for tips. We tipped him $5 per lounge chair and $10 per umbrella which is customary. A day at the beach really worked up our appetites so we decided to grab lunch. I ordered the Bacon BBQ Burger which comes with fries, and my wife had a pretzel. My burger was tasty but the bun was a little stale and started to crumble in my hands. My fries were crispy and good. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her pretzel. The bartender - Anthony is awesome. He is super knowledgeable on the menu, and puts on a show while making your drinks. He said Caddy's closed due to the hurricanes that hit last Fall and only reopened three weeks ago. I would say the food was probably three stars; but overall, the proximity to the beach along with the convenience of chair and umbrella service boost my rating to four stars. If you are ever looking to spend a day at Madeira Beach, you might want to consider Caddy's.

I stopped here and chilled on the beach for a while then went and sat at the bar for dinner. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Tacos and subbed the chips for pasta salad and the whole meal was amazing!!!! 10/10 recommend. The view is fantastic, the staff was great and the tacos were fantastic! I will definitely be back. I parked just across the street. It is $5/hr for parking, but worth it for the view and food!

After visiting Caddy's Treasure Island on my last trip, I knew it was on my list to visit at Mad Beach! We got there right around opening time, so we were able to park in the lot. I'm not sure how parking gets when it's busy, though. We opted for a table with ocean views, obviously, and it was amazing! Just a great vibe overall - good music playing, friendly service, laid back. They have a great frozen drink menu, and we opted for the color changing souvenir cups as well. For lunch, we shared the grouper bites and crab cakes. Both were fantastic! The grouper bites were lightly breaded with a delicious dill dipping sauce. Crab cakes were meaty and flavorful. Perfect light lunch before a day of exploring the area. Definitely check out Caddy's for great food and the VIEWS!

My mum was visiting from overseas and we stopped in here after the place we were meant to go was closed. It was recommended by a friend and we had such a great experience! Perfect sunset views and great chill beachy atmosphere. Our group got the mahi tacos coconut shrimp and sweet potato fries and key lime pie for dessert - everything was amazing! Our server RJ was the best. I can't eat right now due to training for a bodybuilding competition and he was kind and accommodating and brought me a bowl of cucumbers so I could still enjoy the time with my mum and husband while they devoured their dinner! 10/10 recommend and can't wait to come back when I can enjoy a dish myself!!

Great view and great service from Sydney. They made the drinks strong and the food was very good. Def recommend!

The location is right on the beach and close to John's Pass. The employees were very nice and seemed to be pretty happy which made for a nice first time visit for us. The food order seemed to take quite a while to get to the table but the drinks were Johnny on the spot and made the experience quite enjoyable. We sat inside but the ocean side seating area was super nice. The oysters were fresh and delicious. Pretty standard menu for the area and the alcohol was the same. Seems to get great reviews and was decent but didn't blow us away. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive.

Checked out the Caddy's in Treasure Island last month and tried this one bc it was closer . I think I like this one better because of the view overlooking the beautiful water . The parking lot manager was very helpful with my questions about DV parking . The hostesses were welcoming & so was the waiter. He was pretty attentive considering how busy he was . I had a group of friends & family in from Va & they loved it and our drinks . I got the nachos and they were huge . I definitely couldn't finish them but it was worth the try .

Good vibes, good dessert, sweet wine and fair prices! The shrimp was good as well. Service was slow and it was slightly gross but that's to be expected on the beach. The views were great so it was worth it!

The first time we were unsatisfied with our visit in about a half dozen stops. Ordering spicy Bloody Mary's the first disappointment was a canned mixer. The bartender seemed a little short like was having a bad day as well. The newer walls closing in the downstairs bar seems a little closed in... The Beach View is still great!

Worst service here. Food was not good. Gluten free tacos fell apart. Wish we went somewhere else. Only thing good was the view of the beach.

Food is passable bar grub. View of gulf very nice. Issue in my opinion is integrity. We had a 3% surcharge on our bill and assumed it was for use of credit card. Paid cash and change received still reflected surcharge. I asked bartender. He said it was surcharge for hurricane. I asked him if this was disclosed on menu. He said 'no'. Candidly, had they made this clear upfront I would have gladly paid it. I am mostly retired but still do consulting work for tech companies. I have a pretty good idea how they would respond if I add an extra 3% to help cover some of my storm related expenses. Again, it's about transparency as this would have lead to compassion on my part.

caddy's is my favorite! The food is delicious! Love the grouper, mahi tacos and the pineapple mojito! Lydianna is my favorite server! So personable and fun to talk to. wishing you all the luck on your Physical Therapy degree! You will be great! Your future looks bright!

Our server Malaysia was the best. Drinks at the ready. Fresh food. Great prices and a view that can't be beat.

Expectation was bar food and drinks. This was worse than that. Ordered Southwest nachos, tasted like expected but no cheese until we got to the bottom of the plate. Next up, coconut shrimp. Overcooked so much it tasted like the fryer grease needed to be changed. Didn't finish. $35 for a cluster of crab legs (on vacation, wanted crab), these also overcooked and no crab fork given as an assist. Waitress a no-show once the food was brought out. She blamed it on the large party she had in her section (seriously). Drinks overpriced and watery. $120 later and lesson learned. Could have asked for the manager but wasn't worth the hassle to wait any longer than we already waited just to get the check. Won't be back.

Great live music Friday night, server was quick on bringing new drinks, the food was excellent!!! Had more expensive fish at other restaurants in St. John's Pass but this one was cooked the best!

Service and Ambiance were great. However 20 dollars for fish and chips and it's 1 piece of fish. The tuna salad tasted good but the watermelon and the fish and chips were bland and very overpriced. The worst part of this location had to be the pigeons! So many pigeons that it's hard to enjoy food unless you enjoy eating around these types of birds. In the end I doubt reviews will affect a place like this as it's a tourist destination. When people go to the beach and will always have a certain level of clientele. Get rid of the pigeons and it would be a 4 star restaurant. Improve the food portions and it becomes 5 stars.

Th food is priced high, presumably because they're the only restaurant/bar on the beach in the neighbourhood. We didn't try it. The drinks are also on the high end. They are tasty, but fairly weak - even with a supposed 151 floater. I'm not sure how that works. Ambiance is fine and the location on the beach is excellent. The service was generally pretty good. The bartender was very friendly and accommodating with a custom drink request. However, if you order a Rum Runner during Happy Hour, be sure to order the Happy Hour version, if that's what you want. I ordered two Rum Runners during Happy Hour and was charged $32, instead of $10 - total just for those two drinks. When I pointed out the issue, I received a "sorry," but not offered accommodation/concession. I put it up to an honest mistake, but hmmmmmmm...... Also, be mindful that like other places, during the off season they will, without notice, close early (before posted closing time). That can be a bummer. Between 8 and 9 pm, we were turned away at three local restaurants, despite all of them having posted longer/later hours. Caddy's was the third. (This was on a different night than the evening we actually got drinks there).

LydIanina ( our waitress) was a breath of fresh air on such a rainy day. Very knowledgeable and most helpful when it came to the menue. She certainly derserves a 5 star rating! Her personality truly shined!

The waiter was awesome. The drinks were good. The food was absolutely disgusting. The grouper was really fishy which means it's frozen old or Mexican grouper. The coleslaw tasted like water cabbage. The location is really awful for parking. Very disappointing!!!!

Cannot beat the gorgeous views of the water when you make your way up the elevator to the top floor. Service was great the food okay. It's my favorite place for views and the food is okay. Ahi tacos had way too much cabbage and not enough ahi. The ahi was very good though. Everyone loved the cheese dip so definitely put that on your list.

Grand opening! Excellent service by Sydney and all staff members greeted us with smiles and grateful hospitality. Mahi Mahi tacos were excellent along with the crunchy chips. Fish & chips also good with coleslaw. Love the vibe with fun music and beautiful views! Heated lamps to take the chill out was a bonus. Thank you for the great experience!

View in the restaurant was the only thing positive I could come up with. Our server was not attentive we ordered appetizer and thought he would never come back for our order. He did when he delivered app which we had smoked fish dip and crab legs. No butter for crab and no crackers or veggies to use dip with. He came back after a long time to deliver both - I've never been given saltine crackers individually wrapped for dip in a restaurant. After unwrapping they were stale. Our entrees look like they sat before coming to us and the cilantro rice - their specialty - was not good and lacked flavor. Service was horrible Food was less than stellar Prices were high I do not recommend this restaurant

Never again. Went here for 'Mothers Day Brunch' and although I knew there was a mother's day menu when I called to ask about it they failed to tell me that the regular menu was not available until 1 o'clock. So although we got there at noon, we were told if we wanted to order regular food we would have to wait until 1 o'clock. So we had a drink and waited and did not see our waitress from 1215 until 1 o'clock! she finally came back to the table. We ordered another round of drinks and appetizers and an hour later we were still waiting for appetizers so we went ahead complained to someone and ordered meals, hoping that would speed things up, which it did not and we eventually left without eating anything but two orders of warm fish dip, two orders of under cooked grouper bites and an order of buffalo wings - eventually cancelled the meals and left.

Food was sub par, but the views are great of the Madeira beach from the open air bar above.

Great beachside vibes, parking nearby and good food! Drinks were just okay but that's because I got a specialty, I should have ordered from the bar. Either way I highly recommend! There are gluten free and vegetarian options as well. Service was awesome, music was nice and I didn't want to leave. The wind on the balcony was topnl notch! Lol I got fish and chips and it was fresh, fries were seasoned and the flavor was great! I will be back!

Came here while in town for a few days. Good service and food was great. Bartender down stairs (didn't catch his name but had tattoos and beard) was excellent. Friendly and checked in with us repeatedly. See you next time Caddy's!

Great location with amazing views! We saw so many dolphins! Food was a bit pricey but worth the experience! Skylar was our server and she was great!

My crabcakes were cold, and my lettuce and tomato and bun smelled so much like onion. I couldn't eat it. The snapper was tough instead of flaky. The atmosphere and service are fabulous, the food so far seems to be iffy. I'll try it again, but...

You go for the food, but The Service was incredible!! The waiter was super friendly, got our orders in quickly, and offered us free appetizers when things ran slow. The food was the best grouper we ever had. Crab cooked perfectly, salad was delicious and everything we ordered was something to write home about. Our compliments go to the Chef for that! Food runner was gracious and kind, and the hostess was lovely sweet person too! Everyone was happy to be there! With great attitudes and enthusiasm and hospitality! And I haven't even got to the view, the wonderful beach view, we came at sunset and saw dolphins and a crane! It was such a great and unforgettable dining experience! Would highly recommend!

Location is great, service was great, food was okay, but the 3% Service Fee (even when paying CASH!) is a deal breaker for me. Their prices are already on the high side and that's just a rip off. We are staying a few properties down, but won't go back. I am all for helping local businesses and we have been spreading our money around pretty darn good, but don't take advantage of me!

The best place to eat at John's Pass! The open-air atmosphere is perfect and the food is delicious. Great prices for waterfront dining. The mahi tacos are so good! Zach was our server today and was very helpful and attentive!

We met some friends from out of town here because they wanted to go here. First thing to know, parking is a bitch. You enter through a community access parking area and if you can get a spot here do it because their actual parking under the restaurant is extremely limited. If both areas are full the valets said you can pay 10 bucks to park at the mini market across the street. We got lucky and a table outside was open when we arrived. Decor is simple. Outside the view is nice. Drinks? Yes. I had the pineapple sunrise and I enjoyed it. Our friends also enjoyed their cocktails. My hubs was the DD so iced tea for him. Food. We were not excited about the menu, as it is basic beach food but I csn always find something to eat. We asked our server what he liked and he said the shrimp tacos so that's what I got. They were loaded with shrimp! Very good. Hubs had the coconut shrimp basket. They didn't cook his fries longer like he asked so he was disappointed in that. Said the shrimp was fine. We also had some appetizers first, smoked fish dip and grouper bites. Both good. None of our friends complained about their entrees so I think everyone was happy. Would I go back? Maybe. The parking really is the big negative for me. We got lucky on this trip but I might go to a different Caddy's with more parking.

We ordered the 1/2 lb. Shrimp Cocktail for our appetizer. It was the typical cold peel & eat shrimp. I was good & filling but we couldn't wait for out entrees. My husband ordered the Fish & Chips with double fries instead of the slaw for $18.45. Crispy fried haddock with perfectly cooked steak fries and he enjoyed it immensely. I ordered the Cajun Mahi Soft Tacos and Sweet Potato Fries for $14.45 + $1 upgrade for the fries. I've eaten this before at the Caddy's at John's Pass. It is without-a-doubt my favorite fish tacos anywhere. Large Mahi filets with a seasoning of Cajun spices on a bed of lettuce topped with Pico de Gallo, mixed cheese and chipotle sauce. Don't know what else they have that could top this as I always order these amazing tacos. It was a wonderful meal with an amazing sunset view and we can't wait to come back. Outstanding.
