"Nestled on Sunset Beach in Treasure Island, Caddy’s is one of the area’s quintessential Treasure Island dining locales. Two words: grouper reuben. When in Treasure Island, a grouper sandwich is practically a requirement, and there is no greater waterfront iteration than Caddy’s take." - ArielleStevenson

Caddy’s restaurant on Treasure Island was significantly damaged by Hurricane and they have done a great job setting up a temporary facility to remain in that location to serve their customers. There is a large “tent” type hall with tables and a bar inside, as well as lots of tables on the sand outside. They also have food truck to cook the food next to the tent and also a trucks with restrooms for clients. There is a snow cone truck as well. We sat outside, feet in the sand and the view is unbeatable. White sand and beautiful clear water. They have a reduced menu of course but that is understandable and I was happy to be there. Good drinks selection. Food was ok and service was prompt - Our waiter was very nice. They even had lounge chairs with umbrellas on the beach near the water and we made use of that. They even take orders and bring you drinks right there. Those are free to customers but tips to the guys setting them up are suggested of course. Always loved Caddy’s and was said to see their restaurant destroyed but life that they’ve managed to survive and more, continue to serve their customers.

I’ve been going here for years and just went today since they have reopened. The building itself is still under construction since they got hit by the hurricanes last season but the new setup still offers limited food and drinks! We had an amazing time and the staff was wonderful as always. Taco Tuesday is new for them and they definitely slapped!!! So happy they are back and open.

Google
While they’re still recovering from the hurricanes, this still doesn’t disappoint. The service is super friendly and accommodating. There is a limited menu but the food is great.

We visit this place multiple times every year when we are visiting family in the area. Can't wait until next year when the main building is hopefully back open. So glad they still had a food truck and plenty of covered area. Small menu for now, which is understandable, but bring back the Grouper Nuggets!

Went to Caddy’s on the beach, they have a limited menu. We sat on the beach chairs that are “free” but you have to leave a tip cause the guy won’t walk away without something. We waited a while before our server finally came the service was average the prices for the drinks were pretty steep especially for the amount of alcohol in the drink. We weren’t given a menu she kinda just told us what was available. I had the smash burger and fries and my partner had the mahi tacos and pasta salad. The burger was okay the fries were eh tasted like every other beach fry. The pasta salad was good it was a very very small portion inside the container a little deceiving. Will we come back? Maybe. We both gave them a 7/10 overall the vibes were okay.

Came to Caddy’s for the past two days and had Alex as our server both days. She is incredible, knowledgeable, and super attentive! We watched her handle a massive section with such grace and speed. Her attention to detail and the way she operates is impressive. The atmosphere is awesome, everybody is very friendly and helpful. I don’t think you can find a spot like this elsewhere. Also, the food is delicious!!!

The place was awesome. Great parking next to the beach. Don’t need to walk too far just to get your feet wet.

Yelp
I would give the location right on the water 6-stars and they had a really fun band playing everything from country to alternative hits. However, the service was SuPER slow. The server apologized after he first came by saying he got a ton of people sat in his section and it probably wouldn't have mattered as much if we were just adults drinking but we had 3 hungry kids so not ideal. The food was typical fried bar food (hot dogs, chicken wings, fish and chips) but all decent. Overall, I would definitely go back for sunset dinner and drinks but not arrive hungry!

Yelp
I don't post on Yelp much anymore, much to the dismay of my two fans. But sometimes you have no choice but to warn those two people to stay away from certain establishments. Luckily for Caddys they have a great location and can do whatever they wish and still get business. I ordered 1 1/2 pounds of snow crab legs. My daughters ordered one pound. One pound of snow crab legs equates to 2 clusters. So math would tell you that 1 1/2 pounds would equate to 3 clusters being they were all roughly the same size. My meal comes out with 2 clusters of equal size to my daughter's plates, plus one extra leg of the smaller variety. Clearly something is wrong unless that one little leg (one of the end legs) deceptively packed a 1/2 a pound of meat in it. I point this out to the food runner who agrees with me and was going to get a manager. I pointed this out to the server who agreed with me and was going back to the kitchen. No manager ever came. The message I got was "they get weighed out so you have 1 1/2 pounds." Huh? Common sense and simple math would tell you otherwise but these people hide behind their helpless servers. What a joke. No offer to bring out the amount of crab legs that I actually paid for, or to discount my bill to one pound that I got. Anyone...anyone who took the time to visually inspect my plate could not tell me with a straight face that I got what I paid for. Onto the crab legs. You know when you get crab legs and try to crack them and they are so soft all they do is merely bend? Then, when you get them open all the meat is stringy and stuck to the shell so you really get no meat at all because you are scraping the meat and pulling out little bits and pieces at a time? Oh, and my wife's frozen veges were still half frozen. Yep, it's like that. Worst meals we could think of that we ever had, and paying $200 for lousy frozen food. But the view was good! Quite frankly our meal was so bad we should have got comped for the whole thing. Went to Crabby Bills the next day, and got more meat in a pound than my 1 1/2 at Caddy's. Plus you could easily pull out big pieces of crab out of every leg. And...the shells actually cracked instead of bending like a damn rubber hose. So, now Caddy's will send me their obligatory response to write their GM but for what? Some generic response that "sorry we will do better"? Take care of the issue while it is happening. Get a manager to the table to explain to me how 2 clusters equals a pound and a half. Give me the math. Learn customer service. This place may be good for the bar, so have a drink and skip the frozen food. Adios Caddy's.

Yelp
Treasure island location was walkable, multiple entrances for convenience fit parties of one and up. Picnic tables on the sand, restaurant atmosphere on the first floor, bar and club on the second. A joy to sit in the shade at the rail and overlook the sea. Sunday night 4 pm dinner undivided attention of Charly the waitress. Drink arrived immediately- a very weak LI iced tea. Fish and chips came out fast. Nothing special but fresh and sufficient portions. Tiny little coleslaw needs a new recipe. Side salad was the basic I was looking for.Key lime pie and a plain hot tea redeemed it all. Monday 5 pm place is packed but I found my seat at the rail. Charly is friendly but overwhelmed and appears to have more than her share of tables. Monday night 5 pm dinner was ahi tuna tacos- the tuna was great but the toppings and tortilla were meh. Classic mojito was watered down. Key lime pie and hot tea cinched the meal. Everything was a long time being served, I had to get up to ask for a fork and to find Charly twice for attention. Tuesday at 6pm has a mellow vibe, my rail seat waiting for me. No Charly in site but the waiter for the section spots me right away. A classic mojito arrives as soon as I ask for it. It had the requisite amount of alcohol. Dinner is Asian salad and corn on the cob. Took 30'min to recieve: the salad looked gorgeous- pic below . Typical mixed greens, a very vinegary teriyaki dressing, ahi tuna is excellent, topped with the plastic tag holders from good will. Corn was a huge disappointment- not fresh but clearly frozen 1/3 rds soaked too long in unsalted waterZ got the side eye from the server when I asked for salt and butter. Neither of these could cling because the cob was so water soaked. I wanted to yell out 'man overboard!'

Yelp
Perfect location right on the beach and good food & drink specials . Even with it being slam packed, our waitress was attentive . I forgot her name . Our table ended up being right by the band but they wasn't too loud or anything . Nice spot ! My tacos were delicious .

Raquel S.

Yelp
This was my second time visiting this location and it is my favorite. I love to seat by the beach and enjoy the ocean view while having a cold drink and delicious sea food. This time I ordered shrimp tacos and house made chowder. The chowder was fresh and the tacos had a mango sweet sauce that was so delicious!!! My friends ordered coconut shrimp and scallops. They both enjoyed their dishes. Our server was very nice and brought everything quick and hot. Cannot wait to go back to Treasure island and visit this restaurant!

Yelp
4 stars with the caveat we went for brunch and there wasn't enough time for the bottomless mimosas to be worth it bc they don't just give you a bottle of champagne and a decanter of juice. But, super props to our waiter for letting us know that upfront! The brunch menu was very limited with weird ways you couldn't do combos. It's also classified as Breakfast", so we made sure to get there before 11am just in case. Anywho, my hubby got the Corned Beef Hash side and Home Fries side. He was pleasantly surprised! His words, "my husband, with a grumpy-ass attitude about everything, actually had something positive to say!" I got the Chocolate Chip Pancakes, and those were good! We also split the Biscuits and Gravy, which were average. I will say that the Home Fries from my hubby's menu with the Eggs that came with the biscuits & gravy were my favorite part of the meal (the Hashbrowns were also excellent, but I don't like corned beef so it would have been cool if they would have been able to be ordered separately). For drinks, I got Irish Coffee & he got a Bloody Mary - Spicy and a Rum Runner. Bloody Mary was good, Rum Runner was good but weak he said. Irish Coffee was good, but minus one star bc no whipped cream, maybe bc it was so windy out? Our server RJ was great, very personable! So 4.5 stars for ambiance, but 4 stars for breakfast food. I'll update if we come back for lunch or dinner! Update: by the time we left there was a live music DJ, that didn't happen until about 11:45am! Just kidding, the DJ and sunshine finally coming out made a HUGE difference with the ambiance! We had time left on our parking meter so we stayed for a few more drinks. Added pano to show the difference an hour makes! We'd def stay and drink a ton here if we didn't already have other plans. Maybe next time!

Katherine L.

Yelp
The ambiance was great! We sat on the top floor and the restaurant is right on the beach. Our waitress was very nice and we had great service. There was also a live band. The food itself was not bad, but not the best except for the watermelon appetizer. That was great- especially on a hot day.

Yelp
Sometimes I wonder if all I need in this life is Caddy's. Lol, on a more serious note I've been to Caddy's (Treasure Island) countless times and I will choose this spot over most any day of the week. Not only do I come to Caddy's for my entire beach experience due to its on site location.. but because of the food, drinks, and happy hour experience. I've had great service whether that be just the bar top or sitting down at a table. The drinks, food, ambiance, everything here at Caddy's is stellar. I seriously never leave unhappy and will continue to come every week. Only downside is you pay to park (doesn't matter when you're beaching anyways).

Jennifer L.

Yelp
It's a vibe for sure - the beach, the sun, the music, the food and drinks, drinks, drinks...If you are in a celebratory mood and/or just looking for a fun location to get all the feels then this is the place. I had been told the black and bleu salad was the way to go and I would give it a 2.5 (I asked for medium rare and was more medium) though was good. My friend loved her ahi tuna. The drink of choice was the pineapple mojito and a rose slushy and did not disappoint. Of course they were up selling the drinks. We went with a "medium" that has a commemorative cup that - wait for it - changes color with the drink. And desserts were a must - and the best thing on the menu IMHO was the chocolate peanut butter pie - there I said it though I have a serious sweet tooth. Oh and Scott our server was doing quite the fine job that night. Note - parking it tough - would definitely Uber...

Yelp
Walked off the beach right into caddy's , super friendly and attentive staff , really enjoyed the music and the outdoor vibes , loved getting sun while sitting at the bar ! Margaritas were amazing

Charm N.

Yelp
Laurel, our server, was perfect and so was the food! EVERYTHING, I mean everything, came out hot fresh and perfect! Cute little scene for sure! A must try at Treasure Island

Kate C.

Yelp
Amazing as always! We had the fish and chips. Everything was fresh and flavorful! I also had a cucumber mojito which was refreshing. Service was quick and friendly. We also love that this right on the water, beautiful!

Yelp
Views - 5 stars Drinks - 4 stars Food - 4 stars Service - 4 stars During a quick day trip to St Pete, I knew I wanted to spend some time near the ocean. With a quick google search of "beach bars" came across Caddy's and it looks idyllic. We opted for the upstairs bar and sat along the railing which provided for amazingly perfect views of the beach and the water and everything going on below us. The sun was warm, the breeze felt wonderful, I was happy! It took a bit to get service but once we ordered drinks and an appetizer, they arrived fairly quickly. I ordered the miami vice, not the best one I've ever had but it was refreshing for sure. We also ordered the dip trio, which was basic but hit the spot for an afternoon snack, with spinach dip, pico, and beer cheese queso. Service was a little slow after we received our drinks and food, and took a bit to cash out, but otherwise no major complaints. The beach looked like a fun time! Beach chairs, yard games, plenty of seating -- if/when I return, I could see spending a whole afternoon/evening here enjoying everything they had to offer.

Carlie R.

Yelp
Caddy's is one of my favorite spots on the beach. It has a nice chill vibe and is a great place to grab a drink or some food. I particularly love their tacos or the grilled salmon BLT. The wait staff is fantastic, and the best part is the awesome beach views. Highly recommended for a relaxing beachside experience!

Pat M.

Yelp
This was our first trip to John's Pass and Caddy's was recommended as a good place to eat. They have a couple of docks overlooking the water that made for a great lunch spot. The drink menu was large and we wound up ordering Painkillers and Pina Colada's in souvenir cups. Drinks were excellent and we have cups to remember this place! We ordered a large Bavarian pretzel to start. Our entrees ranged from my Mahi tacos to salads to burgers. The food was better than your typical bar food, no complaints. Our server was extremely friendly. I'd recommend stopping here to eat if you're in the area.

Teri W.

Yelp
The location wins for ambience. Otherwise food is mediocre and drinks are consistently watered down every time I have ever gotten a drink. Service is good. Go for the view/beachside location not food or drinks.

Alicia W.

Yelp
The outdoor dining tables and the view of the water made this a fun place to eat. The only real downside was the lack of parking and the cost to park. I think it was at least $10.

Marquese C.

Yelp
The food at Caddy's Treasure Island was really fulfilling. The service was top notch and the ambiance of the place is unbeatable. Great views of the beach and they even had live music. 10 out of 10!

Omlee C.

Yelp
I love Caddy's so so much! It is so big and is in a great location. Also, the outside seats are right on the beach it is so cool!! The waiters are so nice and they always did what I asked. They gave free refills, sauce, etc. If you order a kids meal you get a free frisbee! I will be coming back next time I'm in the area!!

Stephen T.

Yelp
We spent four days on Treasure Island and after recovering from some jetlag, flying coast to coast on a redeye flight, we walked from our VRBO to Caddy's for some drinks. Being a Friday afternoon it was crowded but not too crowded to be uncomfortable. People were on the beach, in the water and Caddy's was hopping with music and people enjoying the food and drink. My significant other and I made our way upstairs to the bar and took a see look out over the Gul of Mexico. It was a beautiful day and the bar, was not really crowded approaching 5pm in the afternoon. I started with a Pineapple Mojito and she with a Bahama Mama. Honestly, our bartender made these drinks really strong, we got our $15 worth but decided to go back for a second round. In between our drinks we decided to order food. I went with a simple fish and chips, while my girlfriend did the mahi tacos. I was pleased with my fish, really hard to screw it up, but it was a nice piece of haddock. The mahi tacos weren't great. Coming from California, we know good fish tacos and this attempt was lacking flavor, somewhat cold and not really enjoyed. The second round of drinks saw a Rocky Margarita and a Pain Killer come our way. Before we knew it we were stuffed and stumbling down the road to get home. It was great fun, the drinks were quality and I was pleased with my food. Might not recommend the fish tacos, but their are other good offerings on the menu. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and were always asking if we needed anything, while giving us space and time to relax, eat and drink. We decided to hit Caddy's after attending our all day seminar on Sunday. We stopped by had a few rounds of drinks. I swear we weren't trying to get to all the drinks they made, but ended up with Cucumber Mojito, the Spiked Strawberry Lemonade, a Bahama Mama (again!) and a Mai Tai. While not as strong we skipped the food and just relaxed, enjoying the warm weather, breeze and the vibes that Caddy's had to offer

Becky Y.

Yelp
Had decent drinks and appetizers, nothing super exciting, but you can't beat the view. Sat on the top deck and watched the sunset. Absolutely beautiful view.

Kristen R.

Yelp
This place has been here for decades, and while the charm is great, the draw to sitting literally on the beach is even better. The food was good, but I wouldn't say that it was Michelin star delish, which is ok because we knew that going into it. I did lose my entire steak as they were delivering my Steak Salad because of the wind, but they promptly replaced it and apologized greatly for it! The music, the good food, the beach waves and the extremely clean bathrooms will keep us coming back when we are in town.

Madison M.

Yelp
Food: I ordered the mahi tacos and my opinion they were bland and dry. The sauce on the taco was good. The service was very slow. our waitress was busy and didn't pay us much attention the entire meal. The ambience was nice until the sunset and we were in the complete dark... We were sitting outside but there were no lights near us. I understand how some may like this place, but with so many other better restaurants with beach views, I would not return!

Whitney S.

Yelp
We came here for drinks on the beach was the frozen drinks were amazing! A fun vibe with tons of younger people hanging by the beach. Service was great!!

Katharine C.

Yelp
This place used to be better. I've always had good service except for today. Our server was AWFUL! She would disappear for very long periods of time. We would have ordered more drinks but didn't want to wait another 35 min until she remembers us again! The men renting the umbrellas were very rude. The crab legs were not good either and there's no way they actually give you 1 lb like the menu says!

Kristie W.

Yelp
We were visiting the area and the beach. This is a very convenient location if you are at the beach! They have indoor and outdoor seating. They also have beach chairs and cabanas to enjoy. We were having a beach day and didn't want to leave the beach. It's great to be able to walk a few steps and get a fresh hot meal. They do not take call in to-go orders on F-Sun. You have to go to the bar to order to-go. We waited about 15min for our food after ordering. We tried the sweet potato fries, Mahi tacos and the blackened grouper sandwich. Everything had good flavor and was fresh. We would definitely dine here again!

Dylan M.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast and while we didn't have time to enjoy the beach or the facilities when it was a more prime time the view was outstanding, right on the water. The service was pleasant, the breakfast menu is pretty basic but was solid. I'd come back for sure next time we visit and spend time at the beach and have some drinks.

Rebecca C.

Yelp
Had the best time today at Caddy's treasure Island on the beach. We got a cabana and Sarah took the best care of us. We could've have asked for a better server. She took great care of us and all seven of our kids. If you're going to this place, make sure you ask for Sarah!! Would recommend 10 out of 10.

Rhonda H.

Yelp
Great location! It is one of our go to locations when we visit TI. The place is always packed and never misses a beat. We have enjoyed both food and drinks and of course live entertainment. We look forward to seeing the bartender, Shane as well our friendly and fun server, Kim!

Andre M.

Yelp
Nachos on the beach you can't beat that. We sat at the bar bartenders are nice services good the nachos the food was very tasty but then I do love nachos and the view was beautiful there was a band it was a perfect day at caddy's on the beach.

Jonathan R.

Yelp
Caddy's gets 3 stars off the bat for location and views. Service has always been very good whether it be the bartenders or wait staff. The food is basic beach fun food. I have had burgers, fish sandwiches etc, certainly fine nothing will wow you. Parking can be challenging depending on the time of day. There is a public lot that fills up quickly and street parking is minimal. Nice to see Caddy's has expanded to other towns close by. There is always a good vibe, live music and a stellar sunset. I recommend Caddy's!

Kim L.

Yelp
Tried the grouper sandwich (blackened), mahi tacos (blackened), and shrimp tacos. All were excellent, only issue was the grouper sandwich didn't have tartar sauce on it, even without it, fish was amazing but no flavor unfortunately. Will return and make sure tartar sauce is included.

April G.

Yelp
We all loved our food, and you cant beat the view at sunset. Highly recommend! Our server Austin was fantastic!

Sue T.

Yelp
Great location overlooking the water, good appetizers & drinks. It was a great experience being outside & the younger kids enjoyed it too.

Jeff K.

Yelp
Kaitlin - thank you for a great afternoon. We got a picnic table for the six of us and had a great time. The drinks were cold, the food was hot and tasty. Try the pork belly nachos and the shrimp tacos. We lost track of how many rounds of cold tasty flavorful drinks we had. But the quick walk on the beach (with beverages) helped out. Get here early. Plan to stay late. Pay for the meter so you don't get a ticket. And ask for Kaitlin

Joni Z.

Yelp
I always have the greatest service here. Our server Michael was very attentive and he took awesome care of us. I love coming here and to bring my family for breakfast and Mother's Day brunch was perfect. Will always recommend Caddy's in treasure island.

Gesselle C.

Yelp
The food is good similar to bar food and the drinks are what you would expect. The service is casual - sometimes you get a friendlier waiter, than other times... The good times are really fun. The live music is special- I prefer to sit right near the music and have evening cocktails with my people, listening to music and having a few drinks. And please, for the love of everything, good and holy in this world, please make sure to tip the musician and clap after each song - I can't believe I have to write this down! The ambience is well... Spectacular! You're right on the water's edge, looking out on the beach. Chairs are available for rental, simply walk out into the beach and ask for a chair with a umbrella and they'll serve you. Bring cash to tip. The place is expensive, but heck you're in Treasure Island, so make sure you bring your bounty with you and these pirates will make sure to lighten your booty. Now be careful parking. It's a tricky place you must pay to park in the parking lot. There's no street parking do not make a mistake because it will be an expensive one. Overall a great spot, so enjoy it!

Alixandra Carolyn Sunflower S.

Yelp
I always love coming to Caddy's! They always knock it out of the park! Dave provided exceptional personable service not only to me, but everyone at the bar. The rooftop bar is amazing for views! But definitely stop by the bar right on the beach. You get the perfect view of the sunset. The food is ALWAYS amazing. Fresh and flavorful and prepared with the time and effort a momma would and it's not too heavy on your stomach for hanging out at the beach and getting in the water. Best place in Tampa and definitely the best at Treasure Island!

Patty M.

Yelp
Ordered a cup of clam chowder. Was supposed to have clams and small shrimp. 1 shrimp, no clams. Tasted like potato soup! For $6.95 a cup! Ordered a grouper sandwich for $19.99. Tasteless! No flavor. The fish didn't even taste like grouper. Very disappointing!

Steven T.

Yelp
FAMILY FOOD ADVENTURE!!! We tried this place while out for a couple days in our favorite place "TREASURE ISLAND BEACH" We had just went kayaking on the Ocean, so FUN!!! When we were leaving we asked the attendant for a recommendation for good Seafood, she gave us a couple and we chose Crabby's on the pass, sounded Fun and based on its vicinity to where we were, this place was close and we were hungry!!! We arrived and parking was across the street from the entrance, right hand side, be careful there are some low laying spots in the parking area. The place has a fun looking beachy feel to it, even Oversized Adirondack chairs outside for pic ops!!! We got seated pretty quickly as it was off season so it wasn't that busy. We sat right at the window where we could see the boats pass under the overpass, it was great! Our first waiter came to the table with sun glasses in and was a little too chill for a server, in my opinion of course. I felt like I was bothering him asking questions about what drink brand they carried and after saying it was our first time there I thought he would be more attentive, but nope didn't change a thing for him. I felt like he figured oh their tourists and aren't gonna be back, they probably don't tip well b/c of this and for a family if 5 with 3 kids I'm sure he has experienced bad tipping, but I am from the industry and tip very well when deserved. My second question after the drinks was to see if they could do grouper nuggets for our youngest as they had fried grouper on the menu and in my mind all they would have to do is cut them down before breading them. "If made fresh" like it should be for a place this close to the ocean. He said he would find out and walked away with a bit of an attitude, I looked at the Fam and said, "what a way to start with a new guest table" A few mins he came back and said he was being moved to the outside area and the bartender would be covering our table inside, THANK YOU!!! The Bartender was very nice, not sure if the waiter heard what I said, but either way we were happy with the changeover. I asked the bartender the same ? about the grouper and he didn't even go anywhere, just said I'm sure they can!!! We started our order with Drinks & 2 apps. Drinks came quickly and appetizers followed in a reasonable amount of time. For the apps we ordered their version of a fire cracker shrimp as well as the fried calamari. Everyone enjoyed the shrimp, it was delicious!!! The calamari was lack luster at best, it was definitely pre-breaded frozen rings, not made in house. We would expect for a place near to the ocean to have the frozen, but then defrosted in house, then breaded with fresh seasoned bread crumbs/flour mix on "REAL DEFROSTED SQUID RINGS" We would expect a fresher version of calamari than pre breaded frozen rings that imitate onion rings sizes with a hard fried coating. Not worth the price, we didn't even finish it b/c of how bland of a dish it was. For our entree's we ordered just a couple and split so we could try a few things. The boy got the Steak, mash potato w/veg, he enjoyed it, but has had better. The little one got her grouper nuggets, we ordered 2 orders so we could try as well. The grouper was a basic tasting breaded fish, nothing spectacular to be honest. The wife got the coconut shrimp, these were good, but not sure if they were in house made, if not they are a high quality buy in stock item. The the oldest kid and I shared the apps, the wife plate and we all shared the extra grouper plate. All in all we got a decent amount of food a little lower than expected food quality with drinks for about 100$ 135$ with Tip!!! This Server deserved it, he really turned our experience around!!! This place is a little pricey for quality, but great aesthetic, def good enough to try once and maybe if we are in the mood for some shrimp by the water we would go back. Both shrimp dishes were the best plate's of the entire meal, but you can get good shrimp most other places as well!!! The visual environment and outside areas were nice, but more of a touristy one time to eat place feel, more than a come back for our great tasting food type place. I feel locals may recommend out of their perspective of a great drinking place, rather than great food. I gave 4 stars b/c I feel the bartender saved the experience, it was a clean themed place with a nice outside area for photo ops and to watch the vessels go by. Wish their food hit the mark then this would be a 5 star experience. We were there in the off season so maybe they have better cooks when it is the busy season b/c they make more they can pay more which would attract experienced employees. Maybe we'll try again at that time! I will update if we do!!! Hope you enjoy your experience at "Crabby's on the Pass"

Yelp
Our friends invited us to Caddy's on New Years Day they rented a double cabana. The cabana was great and perfect size for our party of about 20-25. The kids loved digging in the sand and I liked that they could be close to the cabana. Our server was Erica and she was great. They did get busy toward the end of the time we were there with other cabanas, but it was fine. The food was decent bar food. I really enjoyed the grilled shrimp basket. For drinks, I enjoyed the Loosy Goosy, not too sweet. The vibe was chill, and I wish there were speakers or something for each cabana because the speaker we brought decided not to work, so we listened to the neighboring cabanas music. Bathrooms were clean and well maintained. We were able to find parking in the Caddy's lot and that is $6.50 per hour. Overall if you want a chill beach bar, Caddy's is your spot.

Yelp
Location is fantastic. The live music was great too. Food was just ok which would be ok on a summer day due to the games and beach proximity. Customer service was really solid. Bathrooms were out of paper towels but not a huge deal.

Yelp
I have never really seen service quite like this place, it's seems to be a prerequisite before hiring their staff that they must be bitter and unhelpful and if that level of lameness is achieved they are fitted for a Caddy's shirt and hired. Go to Caddy's for the sunset, leave and don't return due to the underwhelming service and aggressive attitudes of their employees. Do yourself a favor and find another local place that hasn't lost its way. There are plenty out there like Willy's on St Pete Beach. Caddy's has only poor management to blame for the 3.6 Yelp rating, "A fish stinks from the head down" get your act together Caddy's management!

Yelp
Hello, Thanks for checking out my review. Food is my favorite hobby, I do not cook at all, so I'm constantly on the hunt for something amazing to eat and writing about it is my second favorite hobby... I hope it helps you as you find your next meal. Enjoy and good eating!! I always rate a place by 5 categories ranging from 1 - 5 stars and why. (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Price & Overall Experience). Atmosphere: 5 Exciting times and excellent people watching. If you can bike or motorcycle even better, parking sucks! Live beach bands! Service: 2.5 the sitting and service is all over the place and they are slammed. Food: 1.3 no dressing on the salad, the lettuce and chicken was dry too and took 30 mins to get. Price: 2 the drinks were good size in souvenir cups at 10 bucks and pop and a salad for 15 Overall Experience: 3 good place for drinks, music and beach. Food not so much.

Yelp
I love caddy's! The only reason I am giving a 4 star is due to the long wait. They are a busy place so I totally get it. The drinks are great and strong, this is the best place to hang out and watch the sunset! It's right on the water so it's a big beachy vibe with most people in their bathing suits. I had the coconut shrimp which was great! We saw the most amazing sunset, they had a life band on Friday night (not sure if this is a Friday night/weekend thing) it was a awesome vibe and I highly recommend this joint!

Yelp
Nice Experience--Except the Condescending Server Despite being a longtime local, this was my first visit. I never cared to go before due to their efforts to own the beach in front of their restaurant. But some others wanted to go, and we joined them for dinner and sunset. Parking is in high demand and way overpriced. Picnic tables in the fine, white sand are nice. Our rather snooty server took our order. The drinks were fine but overpriced. The grouper nuggets appetizer was quite good. Unfortunately, the appetizer was served with our main dishes. I hate that. Condescending waiter isn't very good at his job. The mains were good. Waiter took a very long time to get us checked out and tried to be nice at the time for a tip. Waiter is still not very good. Caddy's trade is the beach and the weather, and both were in good form. But I expect the restaurant to match the setting and Caddy's doesn't.

Yelp
Visited March 25,2024. Reserved a table in advance as they are generally very busy. Difficult to find parking during Spring Break. Very busy place. Food was excellent. Laval, our server, provided excellent, attentive service. Would definitely return to this place.

Yelp
Food was good and the drinks were spot on. cocktails were not too sweet (per our request) and weren't too weak or too strong. Rarely can I say that! The service was the highlight though as our server Maverick was super attentive, friendly, and had solid recommendations. we'll be back and I hope we are in his section again. you can sit right out on the beach too, which is phenomenal. prices were reasonable which was a surprise considering the setting and quality. 10/10 would come back.

Yelp
Great location close to our condo...easy choice with late arrival to TI. And right on the gulf. Food hot , chips good but not fried crisp. Cocktails sauce had some kick! Multiple servers kept drinks full. Parking is not free.
