CADET Coffee

I’m a self aware coffee snob and the flat white is pretty pretty good. Set inside a bar/tavern , the whole vibe and taste just brought me back to Australia coffee scene. Just opened 2 weeks, come show some love !!

Excellent coffee and extremely knowledgeable staff. I loved learning about the different methods for processing beans while the barista was making my coffee. The owner made a cup of Tim Wendelboe and shared it between everyone in the shop so we could sample as he told us about the Oslo-based roaster. Loved the experience - very friendly, warm and everyone involved just wants to share their love and appreciation for good coffee. (Vegan chocolate chip cookie was delicious too!)

Delighted to find a place carrying Sey coffee. Barista took his time pulling my shot and it was perfect. Not sour or bitter. Well balanced. This place is in Idle Mind and will be one of my go tos when in Greenpoint. Staff was very friendly too. A+ highly recommend.

Cadet is a wonderful new addition to the neighborhood. The barista was kind and knowledgeable, the drip coffee I had was better than a lot of pourovers, and they carry some great quality beans for those who want to pick up a bag to brew at home. 10/10 experience, will definitely be back.

Game changer! High-quality coffee bar a small block off of the park. Sey coffee and espresso plus some pour overs from other roasters. Sounds like the tentative hours are mornings through 1 PM. A little expensive, but there is nothing this good for coffee in the area, so well worth it.
