Miami Beach was a major letdown. While the hotel presents itself as upscale and modern, the service and guest experience were anything but. The aesthetic might be nice, but the lack of attention to guest comfort and basic hospitality quickly overshadowed any visual appeal
To start, the air conditioning is oddly treated as an amenity rather than a basic necessity. In the Florida heat, you’d expect it to work well and be included without question, but that wasn’t the case here.
The pool, which we had looked forward to enjoying during our downtime, closes far too early. It was frustrating not to be able to relax by the water in the evening, especially in such a warm, beachside city.
Getting back into the hotel from the beach was another headache. The gate system locks you out, which made re-entry a hassle, especially when you're just trying to return to your room after spending time by the ocean.
The worst part of our stay, though, was the overall poor service from the staff. On the day we were heading to the airport, we had arranged for a van to pick us up. When it arrived, hotel staff refused to let it pull into the drop-off area, claiming “the van is going to hit the umbrella.” Rather than offering a simple solution—like closing or moving the umbrella—they made us walk to a less convenient spot. This was particularly difficult since two of our family members have trouble walking. There was no concern or flexibility from the staff, just rigid rules and no willingness to accommodate.
Overall, the Cadillac Hotel severely lacks in customer service and basic hospitality. If you're traveling with family, especially anyone with mobility concerns, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This hotel might look nice in pictures, but the reality doesn’t match the image.
