Cadillac Square Park

Cadillac Square Lodge is absolutely breathtaking! Nestled in the heart of downtown Detroit, it feels like stepping into a winter wonderland. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with twinkling lights, cozy décor, and a truly magical vibe. One of the highlights was the incredible waffle spot inside—seriously, the BEST waffles ever! Every bite was perfection, and the flavors were just amazing. To top it off, the owner is one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, making the experience even more special. If you’re looking for a festive and unforgettable spot in Detroit, Cadillac Square Lodge is a must-visit. Whether you’re grabbing a bite, sipping hot cocoa, or just soaking in the holiday spirit, this place is pure magic! ✨

No Christmas trees this time of year but there were plenty of food trucks at lunch time. A rotation of four or five or six every day for a variety. Easy and spacious and a few places to sit for lunch. Re-established as a park in 2007 after a series of buildings came and go including the Central Market Building (aka the Real Estate Exchange Building) and the 22 stories tall Cadillac Square Building. Before that, it was part of Michigan Grand Avenue. At one end, Bagley Memorial Fountain. The Perennial Gardens is another permanent feature. Nearby, Campus Martius Park and the - Cadillac Tower and the Wayne County Building. It's a lovely space and I enjoyed my time here.

Very nice park in the heart of Detroit. Is part of Detroit’s history to be here. It’s a nice place to spent some time and watch people and building around you. There is much to see nowadays in Detroit as it’s coming back to life. There are times when it can get pretty busy but most of the time there are not too many people here.

Such a must see in Detroit during the holidays! The shops rotate each year which makes for a fun experience. I’m so glad I was able to go because it’s so fun especially with some girl friends to go shopping.

Great outdoor lights, little heated shops oh, and an amazing heated tent with board games and drinks. Can rent skates to go on the ice rink.

This was such a fun time, and is for sure the most wonderful time of the year!! Campus Martius did not disappoint from the Wonderful decorated tree, ice skating, a horse and carriage and so many games and so many shops one could get lost.... I loved it and Saturdays weather was a perfect night to stop by and take part in all of the festivities! If you're in the metro Detroit area you don't want to miss it!

This is an open air venue with food trucks and picnic tables. On Friday it becomes a marketplace for vendors (mostly non-food). It is conveniently across from Campus Martius if you want a casual bite. I would like to see a broader range of food options.
