Cadore - Review - San Nicolas - Buenos Aires - The Infatuation

"Ask anyone where you can find the best ice cream downtown and the first answer you’ll get is Cadore, a small, craft ice cream shop with an original location in Northern Italy. They’ve been around since 1957 and serve a good mix of classic and modern Argentinian flavors with Italian roots, like panettone and tiramisu. Grab a scoop of dulce de leche ice cream and enjoy it outside on Corrientes Avenue." - Martín Chavesta

Really good gelato. Went with pistacho, super dulce de leche and tramontana. Really enjoyed these flavors. The ice cream is really creamy and melts faster, that’s why it is not exposed in a showcase - that’s a highly positive point about the place. Generally, the best gelatos are not visible: those are the creamiest!

We stumbled upon this ice cream shop by chance, noticing the long line outside. It’s one of the well-known spots in Buenos Aires, offering a wide variety of flavors — both classic and unique, adventurous options we had never tried before. First, you choose the size and whether you want your ice cream in a cone or a paper cup, as well as how many flavors you’d like. The staff then serves you huge portions based on your selection. Don’t be discouraged by the long line — it moves quickly, and the wait is absolutely worth it. Just a tip: once you leave the shop, enjoy your ice cream quickly, as it melts fast! For those who make a mess, there’s even a sink inside to wash your hands.

The best ice cream we've ever eaten!! Flew halfway across the world and had to try. Did not disappoint at all! Tried pistachio, chocolate mousse, chocolate hazelnut and roasted coconut (hands down our favourite!). Staff are so friendly and the way they dish up the ice cream is so entertaining to watch.

One of the best ice cream shops ever. Absolutely superb quality. Loved the Super Sambayon (Zabaione) and dulce de leche granizado

Came here on a food tour - tried three ice cream flavors (dulce de lèche, pistachio, and super sabayon) and ordered two (chestnut and spicy chocolate). All were amazing.

I wanted to try this ice cream since ages, but there was always a long queue to enter. Today we got really lucky and we didn’t have to wait (there were not too many people because of the rain). Workers were super friendly and very patient, while we were choosing flavours. Ice cream is very delicious, we tried several flavours and all of them were amazing. Now I understand why this place is so famous, definitely one of the best ice cream shops of Buenos Aires!

Excellent, a local’s favourite, beautiful texture&taste. Lineup moves fast. Worth the wait. Try the pistachio / dulce de leche. Wow 😋

A fantastic gelato shop that is a crowd-favorite. At night, there are a lot of people who wait in line to try the ice cream and it is fantastic! The staff are so friendly! Speak English and Spanish, and provide great recommendations to pair different flavors together. Sadly all the cone options only allow for up to 2 flavors, but at least one can try them all. If I lived in Buenos Aires, I would absolutely choose their 1 kilo option because the ice cream there is just that good and inexpensive. Note that one orders the cone size at the cashier and present the receipt to the ice cream scooper who will then take your flavor choices.
