Insanely cool decor, Alan and Brian are very nice and patient men, i expressed that i hardly drink due to an alcohol sensitivity and was just there for a wine flight sampling and a chance to see the business, Brian met someone from Vernon for the first time, and i tasted wine for the first time. I tried 3 whites and a rosé, but I dont recall the names. The wines were palatable in spite of my sensitivity to the taste and affects of alcohol, so i guess that means its great quality wine... I lingered for a while to let the intense buz I got die down, and really enjoyed the time I spent here. Wonderful experience and great conversation. Thank you so much! You guys are almost 2,000 miles from my home, but I certainly hope and wish to see this place again.

Made the trip back to Jerome mainly to come here and was not disappointed. The shop is super chill, there's only a couple tables and a long bar to stand at but you can also walk around and shop. Anna, who was helping us was really cool, very informative of the wine and vineyards and had an awesome personality. They have some great wines, and the tasting was fun and a must do.

I have been waiting to go here for years and it didn’t disappoint. I grab some souvenirs and my wife did a tasting over always been a good chunk of money, but I was happy and glad to check it off my list. We went on our weekend and parking was a pain so we ended up parking up the hill. And taking the little shuttle.

Driving through the Southwest this place was on the route to Nevada. I’ve always wanted to see what MK does with his wine ambitions. Perfect opportunity. They provided me with a bottle of red and white (Anubis and Agostina), for my parents, both old school US Army Vietnam War veterans who love their wine. My father was especially pleased that the name is Caduceus. He is a retired doctor, both from civilian/military sectors. The caduceus has always been a symbol which I associate with him. He knows red wine and he was impressed with this. My mother loves white wine. When she opened this and smelled it, her eyes widened and she smiled. She loves it. Thank you, very respectfully. Update: Not that it matters, but my parents home in Southern California burned down in the January fires. What I uploaded in the photographs in this review, that is all gone, burned away and void. It’s been an incredibly painful and depressing four months since the fires took everything from them. I’m glad that I was able to visit your winery and bring a piece of it back to my parents during the short time I was able to spend with them over the holiday at the end of 2024. That one moment in time will serve as a lasting memory. My father, a retired doctor, US Army Vietnam War medic, again the cadeuceus is a symbol I’ll always associate with him. To see the look on his face as he drank your wine, and reminisced on his medical career, to spend that time with him was sublime. It was in some ways, a moment of reflection and completion for him. You made this possible. I truly cannot thank you enough. Again, not that important but to me, I felt compelled to share this with you. I did also buy your coffee and brought it back to Germany with me. It went over very well with my team mates out here. I also picked up two small bottles of port, one which I gave to my colleague from Hungary, who is a massive Tool/Maynard fan. He was impressed, and floored. You made his day. Thank you. Very, very respectfully.

Google
Of all the wineries we visited in Jerome, this was our least favorite. This is a coffee and wine shop. Their flight pours are less than everyone else (only 1 oz and only 4 tastes) but they charge the same or more as others. Other places give 5-6 tastes and 2 oz pours. Some places give bonus tastes. They are the only place we went to that had preset flights...no mixing, no choosing your own. Can't mix red and white wines in one flight. We didn't like any of the wines. The service was great and we did appreciate the free popcorn.

Amazing place. Hannelore know her stuff. Wine amazing. Bring extra money cause you’re going to want to buy more wine. 🥂 🍷

Google
I’m a huge Tool fan so ultimately this brought me here. I do enjoy wine and I was excited about trying Maynard’s creations. I did a tasting with a cheese board and all the wines I tried I enjoyed. I will say our server was very dry. I could not tell if she was being rude or just sarcastic. She was very knowledgeable about the wines and the processes though. Overall very cool and glad I stopped by. They have cool shirts and other merchandise to purchase too.

Google
My husband had been wanting to visit for a long time, and we finally made the trip. It's a smaller wine cellar but it's mighty. It has a very neat vibe, and the wines are good. My favorite was the sparkling white. We were able to learn about Maynard's vineyards and a bit of town history. Definitely recommend for those in the area.

Yelp
I visited Caduceus Cellars with my third-grade best friend. We grew up together in Prescott, AZ - me, a cybersecurity jockey and cowboy trying to get through life, and him, a celebrated baritone with the Metropolitan Opera. His voice is so powerful it could knock buzzards off a meat truck, no exaggeration. As if that wasn't enough for a memorable day, we were joined by a member of a wildly famous 80s heavy metal band. It turns out that the opera singer and the metal god were old friends from New York, and so was the kicker. I also realized I knew the rocker from our childhood in Prescott. The small world doesn't even begin to describe it. The only thing missing was Maynard himself, which would've made the day completely surreal. Still, the experience was incredible. Caduceus Cellars, tucked into the rugged beauty of the Verde Valley (Jerome AZ), is a solid blend of sophistication and raw Arizona charm. The tasting room is warm and inviting, the kind of place where time slows down, and every sip feels like a revelation. I picked up/drank several bottles of Paso Robles Primer and Kitsune, both darn good wines, especially for a region not known for wine. The Primer is bold and robust, a red that begs for a big ol' steak, while Kitsune is ideal for savoring over long conversations. The magic of Caduceus isn't just in the wine or the setting - it's in the unexpected encounters. Where else can an opera singer, a heavy metal hero, and a middle-aged cyber cowboy sit around and toast to life's strange twists? Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Ozzy, Iron Maiden, and Judas Priest strolled through the door (it did cross my mind). It's enough to make me wish I still had hair to toss around. Maynard has built more than a winery here; he's created a gathering place for artists, dreamers, fans, weary travelers, and adventurers. Even though he wasn't there this time, the spirit of creativity and connection he's fostered is reflective. If you're looking for solid wine, fascinating company, or just a chance to lose yourself in the beauty of the unexpected, head to Caduceus Cellars. You might just find yourself with a bottle of wine and a story you'll never forget.

Yelp
This used to be a great tasting room for the brand when it had first started. My family and I have been a big supporter of the wine from the very beginnings. In fact we still have 3 bottles of Judith (the actual Judith and the original one) from when Maynard was marketing at Whole Foods! We've made many purchases over the year from the Jerome, Cottonwood, Scottsdale (when they were still open) and online. We visited the Cottonwood and Jerome locations this past weekend. The Corronwood's service and quality were still top notch. I can't say the same thing for the Jerome tasting room at all. We visited the Jerome tasting room and were treated so poorly that I will never purchase another product from this company. The brand is dead to me and my family. The bossy server/bar tender woman was so rude and that was not the end of it. I asked for a tasting of the most expensive bottles they had in the store while I purchased some bottles including the most pricey ones. She said they don't have them and they never have a tasting of those. I noticed an older white couple next to me who were being offered the samples of the same wines o purchased and asked for a tasting and was refused! I pointed it out and she said she didn't know and that was the last drops of the only bottle they accidentally received form their manager after a company tasting. I found it puzzling as I noticed a full brand new bottle that the older couple's server had just cracked open and letting them taste among several other wines they tasted. I pointed that out to her. She looked puzzled and annoyed! She said she didn't know and she was sorry. She SLAMMED a wine glass in front of me and said I can taste it and it will cost me 6 dollars per ounce of tasting that wine! I couldn't resonate the fact that the couple next to me hadn't paid anything for the tasting and hadn't purchased and likely weren't going to purchase any bottles either. Meanwhile I made a purchase within 3 minutes of entering the store and I was initially denied a sample and later was asked to pay for sampling! The server was clearly disturbed and annoyed by something about my appearance, not sure if ethnicity, color of skin or what. But that's it for me. Never going back, never will purchase again. Being from AZ, I always felt We needed to support this business. But clearly they are grown so much they don't give any value to the customer base and the grass roots customers. The climate in the store was very toxic and uncomfortable. We were very disappointed. I hope Maynard hears these stories and fix the place up to be like how it used to be, warm and welcoming place of art!

Yelp
Huge fan of Tool and Perfect Circle and of course MJK. I love the whole thought behind Maynard's local view and support for where he resides...but... I was born and raised in the Bay Area. I have a small place in Napa that I have been going to for over 30 years. I have been privileged to meet some of the most amazing growers and blenders: Harlan, Palmaz, Larkmead, Continum et al. Caduceus is really about grapes that are grown in a terroir that is not conducive to great grapes..and hence not great wines. I am not a Oenologist from UC Davis but I know a bit. Perhaps the soil is less rich, the use of more water in such an arid place that yields wines that are thin and lack depth. Their blending is good but I don' think it can make up for the quality of grapes. The tasting room is really cool and the product mix is wonderful. I only bought three bottles of the higher reds...and when I open them I hope I am wrong. But the two of us had flights of the whites ( just okay) and the reds ( better). Service was great and fun to hang out. One and done

Yelp
Big fan of Maynard, he makes good wine too. I missed this place the first time we visited Jerome so we made sure to stop by this last trip. We did the samplers both white and red and found a few bottles that we liked. I bought one although it was a bit pricey, but good wine usually is. There were also lots of souvenirs so I picked up a shirt, but all the stuff was expensive for what it was, so I took off a star for kind of squeezing visitor's wallets. The stuff must sell for those prices though... This seems very much a tourist destination, but it's a great location to stop and have a glass of wine while visiting Jerome. The Ambiance was small town shop kinda feel. We had a great able by the window. The one weird thing was the staff made a big deal about my flask of water. Not allowed to drink out of your own bottles I guess. It was 104 outside. They brought us some water though so not a huge deal.

Yelp
We've enjoyed sipping wines of both Caduceus and Merkin, especially at multiple visits to this location in the past. We were looking forward to trying out their latest offers and taking some home with us as we've done in the past. But this time, an awkward and off-putting situation occurred... upon entering, my wife was brusquely told to leave her coffee cup outside, and I was told gleefully by the patronizing young woman behind the bar not to take pictures - really! ... we turned around and left.

Yelp
An Arizona staple, the Caduceus tasting room in Jerome is a delight. The brainchild of Maynard James Keenan (lead singer of Tool and owner of two other wine labels, Merkin and Queen Bee), the space is clean with lots of interesting details. We tried the red flight - a solid deal at $15 for four 1oz pours. Our server was knowledgeable and fun, sharing fun insights and rid bits to bring the experience alive. We also enjoyed a light nibble of olives and crackers - nothing fancy but just the right bite to clear the palate between sips.

Yelp
What a great experience we had here! The bartender was so friendly and chatted with all of us at the bar. It was community seating at its best! We felt like we were sitting with friends at our hostess's place. The wines were wonderful and our bartender was very knowledgeable and made suggestions that were spot on.

Yelp
First, we are huge Maynard fans. We were so excited to visit Caduceus Cellars. Although we were very impressed with Caduceus, Four Eight, the tasting rooms, the wine, the gelato and Jerome, the attitude from some of the staff was bad. Our server at Caduceus was wonderful, bubbly, and happy to be there. The other gal, not so much. She was cold and had a really bad attitude. We chalked it up to maybe she was having a bad day, but then I read some of the other reviews and I guess that's just their M.O. Nevertheless, I spent over $400 there. The "kids" tending to the Puscifer Store were giggling and fooling around. It was hard to take any of that serious at all, but we did leave a cute offering at Puschiva. The gal serving us at Four Eight was wonderful. She spent the time to talk to us about the history of Jerome, the wines from both wineries and we had a really nice conversation. I love that she referred to Maynard as Mr. Keenan - nice touch! We ended up ordering gelato, apple sodas, a can of Queen Bee, and a glass of Four Eight Red. Lovely! 3 stars because with better customer service, it could have been SO great!

Yelp
The service here was amazing ! The cheese plate was fresh and tasty they have a very nice selection of wines and also some other really cool random things as well the staff was so damn nice to us to fair fair the whole town has been just so welcoming to an outsider like myself I recommend spending some time here if your near .

Yelp
Great tasting room in a cute town. Had wanted to come here after watching a show featuring Caduceus vineyard and made sure to swing on over during my recent visit to AZ. Tons of cool gifts, bar supplies and of course wine! Try your taste of white or red flights or better yet try both! We had 3 of us 2 of us tasted the reds and the other the white so sharing was perfect. If you need a little nosh I highly suggest the charcuterie with the an amazing selection of cheese and meats. They aren't your average flavors and pair perfect with the wine. Staff was really nice and took some bottles back with us. Stop in and enjoy the not so average tasting room. Cheers!

Yelp
During our families stay in the Sedona area, my wife and I drove up to Jerome for wine tastings before our travels took us further south. Being a fan of MJK, we'd already been steered towards Caduceus by friends who've visited and they couldn't have been more right. The tasting room is well curated with obscure foods, tinctures and oddities that make for an enjoyable experience. Our tasting was very good. A few wines were on the young side, but we were still pretty impressed with the quality and varietals offered. I'd read a few reviews that suggested the service was snooty and rude. This just wasn't true, the two ladies who were running the shop that evening were easy to talk to and interested in sharing their experiences and knowledge of the wines and local viticulture. We'd highly recommend stopping in for a tasting, ask about the animal skulls displayed in the front window and enjoy the subtle ambiance. Don't forget to buy a bottle on the way out ya filthy animals.

Yelp
First a little back story that led to one of the worst experience I've ever had not just at a winery, but the service industry in general. My bf is a lifelong tool fan, wait I take that back, Maynard fan because he loves a perfect circle and pucifer too. It was his birthday so I wanted to surprise him by taking a road trip from southeast Tucson to Jerome (4.8 hours) to go to a tasting at Caduceus. Immediately upon walking in, the first thing we heard in a scrutinizing voice was asking if our vested and leashed German shepherd dog was a service dog. My bf Responded, "yes she is a police K9... " to where a nasty retort from the purple faux hawk server that "all dogs are K9's, she again asked (barked) if the was a service K9" to where my bf replied calmly, "yes she is a police service K9..." (which we had stated upfront if she had bothered to listen). But then the server begins to argue again that all dogs are K9s. My bf being a long standing law enforcement professional knowing when when people want to be combative for no reason, deescalated and simply said yes she is a service animal(for the third time) Hoping that the moment had passed and perhaps we could enjoy a tasting we took a seat at one of two available tables(don't plan to sit). But those hopes were short lived unfortunately. When the server brought the flights, I, being from near Wilcox, made the mistake of curiously and excitedly asking if any of the grapes come from that area. Quickly met with a glare and a long pause, the server then seethed through her teeth "if you would wait a minute I'll get to that". Again to placate the server's hostile attitude we quickly apologized. At this point we started to wonder if this was normal treatment or if this was because my bf is law enforcement. Unfortunately with todays political climate it's an unfortunate truth. I could tell my bf was starting to get the same impression and I could see the exciting of finally going to the tasting room of the singer of his favorite band. We had some joking banter to try to lighten the mood, but calamity struck again... With over an hour until closing, the server started to vacuum directly beside us - despite the entire place being empty, which much other space to address instead. it was obvious that we were in the middle of conversation so I can't help but wonder if this was done to further try to antagonize us. Despite all of this, we had just driven 4 hours to get here so we were damn well going to try to enjoy it. So we lifted our chins and dove into our $8.50 olives (of which were 12 small Kroger jar olives). It's not any more complicated than that. The olives were bland and the 8 crackers were stale. Quick on my feet to try to save the day, I remembered that I had a small piece(about the size of my pinky finger)of Gouda cheese from earlier on the road trip, in my purse. Delighted that it added some flavor to the assortment, we experienced about 37 seconds of joy. Until the server ran up and ACTUALLY threatened to call the cops on us for bringing in "outside food". WELP, At this point we were just done. It was clear we were not welcome so we promptly paid our check and left. My bf didn't want me to do this, but after seeing his birthday and excitement ruined by one hateful individual I felt it was my duty to warn others. Take this review for what you will but hopefully it will help someone in the future. Based on other reviews this isn't the first time she's struck, at least I hope so because if there's more like her then definitely vote with your dollar elsewhere. ***PS*** be warned the flights are only 1oz and not the industry standard of 2oz. At first we thought the flight price of $14 for 4 tastings was reasonable, but after realizing it was only 50% of a regular tasting volume Pour, we realized, it is one of the most expensive flights we've ever purchased (more than Napa or Silverado wine trail) for k mart quality wine.

Yelp
We used to live in Arizona and come to Jerome all of the time - we never knew what we were missing out on until someone in Charlotte gave us a bottle of this wine! The next time we made a trip back to AZ we made a trip up to Jerome (we got married there) and made sure we stopped in for a tasting. We were NOT disappointed! The staff is super friendly and helpful and they had a variety of wines that were all very good. On top of that, they helped us figure out how to ship some back home for us. We will definitely come back if or when we are in the area again - in the meantime, we order online from them now.

Yelp
Not that I'm hella fan girling on anything Maynard touches. But I am. Let's be real, so this will be a biased review... brace yourself. Let's start off with how friendly the staff is. You feel right at home in Jerome with how you are welcomed in. And then... the wine selection from the wine flights is not just beautiful in aesthetic, but amazing in taste. You almost want to nurse the wine in your mouth until it seeps in your gums and enamel of your teeth to be honest. At this point, what I'm trying to say is-- this wine cellar is one of the staples of Jerome, come visit and you get to even enjoy an espresso or two.

Chanele R.

Yelp
Maybe I should premise that I do not care about who owns this place. I find his wines generally to be pretty good, and we can agree to disagree on music. It is about wine, not music. So, I was happy to try to flagship of his wine tasting ventures in Jerome, but I have to admit that I was just simply not impressed. The wines themselves were only average. There were blends that I expected to be greatly impressed by, but they fell flat. Now, I know that MJK can make amazing wines. Perhaps it was just the selection on this day. Unfortunately, what I didn't love about this place was the staff. The person who did our tastings had an unpleasant attitude, and we ended up having a strange interaction with another person who worked there. Also, there was a weird sort of hero worship about "the boss," which was literally what everyone called him (also the same at Four Eight down the way) that felt like I was in a video game waiting to meet Bowser. I am sure this is awesome for big fans, but for me it was just weird. I am just there for the wine, man.

Joshua L.

Yelp
Wine was excellent, great environment but some of the worst service I have had wine tasting. The person that served us was not sure on the wines they brought out, did not give us any explanation or back story on the wine and proceeded to ignore us for 15 minutes chatting with people at the bar.

Yelp
We weren't able to make it here before they closed when we stayed in Jerome this summer so we came back to Jerome while in the Verde Valley area to do a tasting yesterday. They do not take reservations. I called when we were on our way there to get their advice on another tasting room we could visit in Jerome after we go to theirs. The woman who I spoke to was not very helpful and said she doesn't really drink wine. Then she said it sounds like you've been to a lot of wineries today already in a judge voice. I let her know that, nope, I had only been to 1 that day. Hah, clearly a friendly voice means someone had too much to drink. Despite this annoyance, the 4 of use still came to taste here. We waited and waited and waited for someone to serve us. It took so freaking long. Just because they were packing up bottles for people who were there and ordered them. It does not take that long to put some bottles in a box. And yet, they took their time. There were 3 people working. And only 2 groups of 4 including us and 2 groups of 2. When we finally did a tasting, I was actually really happy that I didn't like their sparkling mead (too sweet) or any of the reds in the wine flight (alot also tasted too sweet). That means I won't be missing out on anything since I won't be coming back. The only interesting part was the background behind the names of each of the wines in the flight. I don't understand the appeal. The tasting room is nothing special, they don't have any cool views and the service is slow.

Yelp
Let me start this review by saying that this the third time I've been thru Jerome and stopped here, and it will now be my last. I am on holiday with my partner and I couldn't wait to take him here as I have loved the wines in the past. We walked in around noon on a Saturday. There were three staff members and the place was full. We pulled up to one of the middle tables where there was a menu and decided we would do the tasting menu. A server came over to us and asked what we wanted and was very cold. I chalked it up to maybe her having a bad day but throughout the remainder of our visit she was combative and defensive and made us feel like we were unwelcome and a burden to her. Every question I asked was met with condescension and rudeness. We both left extremely disappointed and with buyers remorse. The server cashed me out and the name on the receipt said Kim. I'm not sure if she logged in to another's computer but this person had dark hair like a brunette. I only give one star because I have to, and they do have a very impressive chocolate collection which is amazing. I'll never be back and I won't send anyone here at all.I can't believe that anyone this miserable would take a job in customer service. Do better Caduceus

Yelp
Walked in to a fairly busy day. Went to the bar and bartender was busy washing glasses and helping others. She did come over to us and threw us a menu of the tastings went back to the other couple and went through each glass Of tasting she poured at record speed Not taking a breath! Walked to us and said what can I get you and my husband said a minute for you to grab your breathe. She did not like that at all and rolled her eyes and walked away and said let me know when you have what you want. Husband responded I'm ready bc I said well....she said I'll come Back. I was going to ask her what she would suggest yet I decided she was just to into her self and not there to be of any help to us. My husband said we just want a glass and she said well I guess you have my attention now. I looked at him and said I'd rather go elsewhere. We left. She said nothing. We are in the service business and would never respond to a customer the customer The way she did with us. Kindness and connecting goes a long way. We were excited to try the wine tasting. We won't be back. We did notice the others working there were very relaxed and friendly with others. Bummed to not stay yet too many other places to hit and buy quality wine with service!

Yelp
So this stop was the main reason for coming to Jerome. After a 1,809 mile drive, we were not disappointed. Staff is extremely knowledgeable about the wines, the process and the history of these delectable wines. We were treated like the center of attention as soon as we walked in. We felt genuinely welcome. "Who the F*** is Maynard?" Find out down the street at Puscifer.

Yelp
Overall a great and beautiful location. The overall service was mediocre, I think because it was busier than usual on a Tuesday but there were multiple parties and only 2 servers the whole time. The dates were my absolute FAVORITE (Medjool Dates), and everything else on the board was delicious but I did find it overpriced for the size of it. ($24.95). I think you could find a better location for wine tasting than Jerome, but that's all based off personal preference and someone who doesn't drink wine regularly. Take this review with a grain of salt.

Yelp
Great selection, great tasting rooms. The women hosting the wine tasting were a bit condescending.

Yelp
Phone number listed on yelp is disconnected. Yelp and website have bad info. we arrive 4pm but told they're not doing the flight tasting even tho they dont close till 6pm. such sad. many emo. wow.

Yelp
My co-worker recommended this place because she is a fan of the group, Tool. It was a little out of our way during our Arizona road trip, but it was such a great stop. The wine tasting was delicious and the staff was super welcoming.

Yelp
This is a great wine shop with fun wines, 'not-your-typical' chocolates, snacks, condiments and gift-y type stuff. Because of Covid, prepare yourself for a couple things... 1. wear a mask... not just while walking around the shop... the whole time - between sips of wine, put the mask back on 2. if you are there on a weekend... prepare to wait as they are only allowing a few people in the store at a time... and by a few I think it was max of 6 people.. might have been a max of 8. We each got a tasting.... $15 each. (Note, they do not credit towards your wine purchase, so if you're on a budget... maybe share 1 tasting.) I'm not going to lie... I'm super picky about wines so I didn't care for most of them. However, I really liked their GSM... (aka Chupacabra) and it was very reasonabley priced at $24 a bottle so we purchased a couple of those to enjoy at home. Their Nebbiolo Rose ($40) was pretty good too so we got a bottle of that to take home because honestly... Nebbiolo Rose is rare so I felt like this needed to be part of my wine fridge for future enjoyment.

Yelp
Yessssss - visiting Caduceus was a dream! We didn't think we had time to visit Jerome on our AZ vacation, but squeezed it in between Sedona and Page and are SO glad we did. I love bold, dry, California style reds and was excited to hear the grapes grown in Verde Valley produce similar wines. This was my first experience with Arizona wines, and these grapes are grown in the valley of the desert on Maynard's property. Caduceus Cellars and Merkin Vineyards are owned by Maynard from the band TOOL! He is the winemaker and the grapes for Caduceus are grown on his estate 1 mile from the tasting room. If you love rock music and dry red wines, you will love it here!! We stopped in at 11 am on Sunday (early for wine, but wanted to get a spot). There was only one other couple doing a tasting at the bar. We were greeted by Hanna and she gave us the option to do a tasting at the bar or at a table. We did the red tasting ($12 for 4 pours) at the bar with her and she gave nice tasting notes and details for each of the wines. I loved that the wine tasting notes mentioned soundtracks that pair well with them. :) The tempranillo was my absolute favorite, but it was so fun to try the 4 reds. For a few dollars extra I tasted the carignan which was from the reserves, but it was not my favorite at all. It was super floral. All of the other reds I really enjoyed. We then decided to taste the whites after learning they were aged in cement. My boyfriend likes a CA white that is aged in the concrete egg, so he was excited to taste this one. We both loved the crisp Chupacabra blanca that was a blend of Chardonnay, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc. These wines are seriously amazing and I am so intrigued by Arizona wines after this tasting experience. We looked around the store at their cute gifts and specialty food products. I purchased 3 bottles of wine to be shipped home to me in Pennsylvania and they arrived exactly 1 week later. I have them sitting on my rack now and can't wait to open the 2018 Sancha (tempranillo) for Christmas. I am obsessed with this place and recommend visiting if you are in Arizona or ordering the wine online to be shipped to you. SO GOOD!

Yelp
This is a wine tasting room owned by Maynard James Keenan (Tool, APC, Puscifer). His shop (Puscifer the Store) is right next door. I'll be honest, I wasn't a huge fan of the store (lacking personality, overpriced, unfriendly). However, I really appreciated the tasting room. I did not do a tasting but I purchased a bottle of wine for my boyfriend. I'm on a budget so I was very pleased to find that they had wine at different price points. I bought the Chupacabra (red) at $24. The atmosphere and decor were pleasant, with prominent branding. The space was clean and very organized. They also had a fantastic selection of snacks to accompany your wine purchase. I was particularly impressed with their amazing choices of canned fish and chocolate. Not sure what the tasting situation is but I definitely recommend Caduceus for a bottle or two, along with some unique food items.

Yelp
Lovely tasting room with gourmet bitters, olive oil's, mixers, and an eclectic variety of merchandise. We ended up getting a salami, a prickly, pear, cocktail, mixer, and a coffee. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely drop in again.

Yelp
$15 for four (4) one ounce tiny tastes of not good wine. Rude wine host poured the wine, then left to stamps bags. Had to get her attention to pay the bill. Go to Art of Wine in Sedona for a great wine experience. Skip this place if you like good wine & good service.

Yelp
If you have the opportunity to visit Caduceus Cellars I recommend trying the Red Flight. We tried the white flight and worked our way to the reds. The menus are very detailed, you know the grape and the hostess was thorough, she did an excellent job breaking each wine down. Since I am visiting, I decided to purchase 2 bottles. For you wine connoisseurs wanting to purchase more wine they have insulated travel luggage... They also put together a nice Charcuterie board...loved the cheddar. I wish there was a signature Caduceus Balsamic Vinegar, that would have made my day.

Yelp
Service is ridiculously lousy. Super rude and arrogant bartenders and some of the servers. Wine is grocery store quality but cost $50 plus per bottle. I have enjoyed the small plates (food) but that's pretty much it. The wine is either overly sweet or on the sour side. They do have some cool merch there in the store. Did the tasting, meh! Nowhere near Italy or California grade. It's a desert! Not much grows in a desert unless you use chemicals.

Yelp
Stopped in on a visit to Jerome while staying in Scottsdale. Wanted to visit one of the wineries in town, and picked this one. It was OK, but I wish we had tried another winery. The tasting was pretty expensive and most of the wines we tasted were nothing we would consider buying. Cute location and server was friendly.

Yelp
My husband &I decided to take a day trip to Jerome & specifically choose this winery in our planning . I'm so glad we made this choice , this wine tasting room did not disappoint. I can't recall the associated name , but she was intelligent with her craft of wine and amazing at explaining everything .

Yelp
What a great find! We come from Prescott a couple times a year to enjoy their Tagliolini E Ragu pasta, lasagna cupcakes and of course their own Chupacabra wine. The handmade pastas and fresh bread always pleases. The servers are attentive and wine knowledgeable.

Yelp
I was in town with a friend who brought me to the area, and him being a Tool fan we had to stop in. The tasting room is not very big so I would advise against large parties coming by but still stop in and give em' some love! The tasting room was clean, organized and has a nice modern look featuring brick walls that add character. Staff was cool and friendly and met any needs. We were just hanging out and didn't need food or anything else so we just had some wine. My buddy did a flight that he enjoyed and I stuck to a couple glasses of the Caduceus Primer Paso which was very good. They sell various clothing, artisan foods and treats and of course wine!

Yelp
Now this is my kind of stop! They wheeled out the wine list and I scoured it for my points of interest. They have many fine offerings comprised of mainly grapes of the Southern Rhone or Paso; as expected for the heat in Arizona. The quality of these wines are comparable to those of many vintners from California if not better. There is an offering of food here as well, so you won't go hungry. The local food options in this area many and quite good. However, yo yo can always elect to roll down the hill to Old Town Cottonwood, drink more wine, act silly and take in both sights and food. It is about 4 or 5 miles away. Caduceus has a fantastic vantage point and you can watch all of the "Non-residents" in their I'm not from around here clothes. The lounge itself is warming as is the bar. The staff were both friendly and knowledgeable. I am dragging Twinkie here next time we are rolling to Sedona. Good wines & Good times!

Yelp
Place was closed. Website says 8 pm closure for 'Pandemic Hours' Arrived at 6 (Drove in from Texas for road trip) The door was locked. My sister saw someone in the background, so she knocked on the door loudly. The employee looked up and screamed through her mask at least 20 ft. Back from the front door at us. Unfortunately, we can not hear through a locked door... 20ft back and a woman seething through a mask. She the proceeds to yell louder that there is a pandemic and they are closed. We said thanks and walked away... Since the website said the pandemic hours were to 8 pm and people are literally driving in from out of town of visit this little tourist town: 1. Don't be a rude jerk. 2. Fix your website hours 3. Maybe also consider limited people like the winery 50 ft. Away. 4. Fix the sign on your door that says open from 11-8. For a great experience visit the quaint winery above the vintage police station, east 20 feet and up 17 steps.

Yelp
We had kids in tow when checking out Jerome, so my husband and I had to get creative when stopping in since this spot was his one request, and under 21 are not permitted. I walked in while my husband waited outside with our kids and Allen (Maybe Alan - sorry, spelling) was incredibly helpful and full of great information! I ordered the two flights and Allen walked me through everything... all of it was delicious. I narrowed down what I thought my husbands preferences would be (for once, I was right), my husband and I switched shifts so he could try everything and we walked away with 4 bottles of wine we really enjoyed. The wines tend to lean towards Italian varietals, and the range in options are great. Thank you to Allen for the quick and dirty wine tasting that answered all of our questions and was still informational and fun!

Yelp
The wine tasting was so cool and fun. The girl helping us told stories and was very helpful. We would definitely come back.

Yelp
Ok I'll admit it. I mainly went into Caduceus Cellars because it is owned by Maynard James Keenan of Tool/Perfect Circle/Puscifer fame. I had actually heard of his winery through the documentary Blood Into Wine, before that I didn't even know that Arizona's climate was able to sustain a vineyard culture. So, who goes into a wine store and doesn't try any wine? This lady! ;p We got here early in the morning and I didn't feel the need to take any liquid courage in the A.M. I did, however have a lovely marocchino from their morning espresso bar (8-12). You have your choice of size and whether you want it iced, which was different from my last experience with marocchino which was served in the more traditional small glass cup, each layer visible. The version they serve here tastes closer to an unsweetened mocha but it was still a delicious drink. The coffee was so smooth and the chocolate meshed really well with it. The foam layer on top was perfect with some nice latte art. In addition to their red, white, and rose wines the shop also sells coffee beans, various condiments, chocolates, wine glasses, Caduceus shirts, and some Puscifer merchandise. I debated whether to get any wine, but quite honestly I drink so little wine that I couldn't justify the $30-50+ price tag for a bottle. I would definitely go back next time I visit Jerome though to try the wine tasting! Details: - Caduceus is the staff of Hermes, a winged staff with two entwined snakes - Espresso bar open from 8-12 every morning - Tasting room opens at 11

Yelp
Atmosphere was nice, clean, and cool. Very cool to walk around even if not tasting. The wines were very good too...but I will add it felt rushed. You had to pick one of two selections- white and rose or the red collection, no other options, and all wines are poured right in front of you in a dash. I prefer a pour with explanation and some time to enjoy the tasting. Would return, but not for the experience.

Yelp
Awesome wine, especially the Chupacabra red and the whites. Moderate prices and friendly service. We would come back.

Yelp
Cute little place. Loved the vibe. Super chill. We did a wine tasting, had a glass each and snacked on the wine and cheese plate. Very relaxing experience. Took a bottle home with us as well!

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in when visiting Jerome after hearing that Jerome was a great place for wine. Who knew Arizona had good wine? It was great! We both had the red tasting and we enjoyed all the wines we had. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about both the wine and the area. Glad we stopped in!

Yelp
Came here because we thought we might as well try Arizona wine and this place had the highest recommendations. The server said Arizona wine is in its infancy. And that is true! What I don't undersized how they can charge $50/bottle! Sadly, the server didn't seem to know a lot more than that either. You know you're in trouble when descriptors are about moons and suns and feelings rather than actual flavors. Save your wine tasting for a more mature state!

Yelp
We had a wonderful time. The tasting was great and the staff very friendly. My fav was the 2018 cab which will run you around $45. I got a bottle and will be saving it for the holidays. You will wait outside if there are a certain amount of people. We got there when it opened and didn't wait at all. There's plenty of merch, I picked up some Christmas gifts for siblings. I am a Tool fan so that was a huge part of the reason we came to Jerome. We were not disappointed.

Yelp
Super rude staff. Wine and coffee were good but the atmosphere was ruined by the attitude. Rude and condescending. I wouldn't normally post a negative review, however, when the employee asked if we enjoyed it we said no. That the service was poor and it ruined the experience she replied "bye!". Didn't care or try to find out why. Super disappointing.

Yelp
A super cool spot to stop and enjoy Tool frontman Maynard Keenan's famous wines! Due to Covid restrictions, only a handful of visitors were allowed in at a time, but our wait was pretty short before a spot opened up. The menu was also super limited, with only a white or red flight available (probably to also keep customer flow moving). We were happy with the wines we tried, including a delicious tempranillo called Judith that normally goes for over $100 a bottle. Overall, while our visit was short and we moved on to other tasting rooms, we would love to come back to Caduceus on another day post-Covid!

Yelp
I think I'd have to take off a year from work to live in Jerome and try to understand the reason for both the love of the town as well as the negative attitudes. As some other reviewers wrote, most of the staff was rude and condescending. We're giving you business AND you work in the service industry, so why work in a place where you're sulking all day? Or is it part of the shtick...I don't get it. We were prepared to buy a half case of wine (over $300) to ship back home. Instead we left with a few pieces of inexpensive MJK merch. Visit if you must. We have been fans of Tool for over 30 years but this visit left us disappointed. If your sole interest is wine, check out Arizona Stronghold in Cottonwood. It's also one of the few producers of Pinot Noir in this region.
