35,000 Workers Ready to Strike Days Before Las Vegas’s Big Formula 1 Kick-Off Weekend | Eater Vegas

"A major Strip employer currently at the center of five-year contract talks with Culinary Workers Union Local 226 and a potential target of a large-scale strike. Union officials warn that a coordinated walkout—scheduled to begin the morning of November 10 if no deal is reached—could remove thousands of hospitality workers from duty, affecting guest services and food-and-beverage operations and coinciding with preparations for the Formula 1 race. The labor demands include enhanced workplace safety, expanded health care, and significant raises; union organizers are mobilizing supplies and personnel for continuous picket lines and have urged visitors not to patronize properties involved in disputes. The company did not immediately respond to requests for comment." - Janna Karel

this place is absolutely disgusting. I will attach some of the photo evidence I captured upon checking in. I have the originals time stamped with location. we checked in today for my 30th birthday trip after having an experience salvaged by the Linq. we paid an extra fee to check in early at 3pm. we got to the room and it was disgusting. covered in bodily fluids, dirty sheets, hair everywhere, stained shower floors, large HVAC ducts outside our window making horrendous noise. someone’s eyelashes stuck to the nightstand. when I called the main customer service, they stated they couldn’t help at all. they told me to go to front desk. I did. they did not a single thing. they didn’t even offer to clean the bio hazardous conditions. they haven’t made any attempt to rectify the conditions. random people keep knocking on the door (not employees). this place is extremely unsafe and unsanitary. the staff literally does nothing. some birthday trip. I couldnt even be paid to return ever again. I had to file a complaint with the department of health.

One of the top 3 WORST hotels I’ve stayed in Literally raining inside. Buckets & trash cans everywhere trying to catch rain No Caution signs anywhere Looks like a injury waiting to happen Internet worked 25% of the time even after I complained. I asked to speak to a manager and was told the individual at the Check in Desk told me HE was the manager! I asked about the internet said he would fix it but of course he didn’t. Room was ok - nothing special. About the same as Motel 6. $250 a night to watch it rain INSIDE. Won’t be back. I have had a HORRIBLE stay. Won’t come back and I will definitely be telling everyone I talk to what a HORRIBLE time I’ve had. $250 a night to watch it rain INSIDE Not much good about my stay 24 hours later & they can’t figure out the water coming from the ceiling and internet is ify Oh well it’s 4am and they still haven’t figured out how to stop the water coming in from the ceiling or fix the internet. Definitely won’t ever stay here again!!

One of the worst places to stay in the casino chains. Multiple issues with the room we stayed in from electrical shocks from light switch to stepping on nails in floor. Filed report with Risk Management with no return phone calls or emails. In short I would recommend staying at other hotel or the local trailer park your stay will be much more inviting and less harmful than The Flamingo Las Vegas.

I have a complaint to make about my experience at this Casino with an extremely rude doorman last Tuesday night. Alright. I have a job working as a taxi driver and there are times when I would stage at Caesars Palace to get customers and make my money. 3 gentlemen hopped in my cab and as I was preparing to transport them, I got stopped and blocked by a doorman. I don't know his name, but I remember how he looks. He is a skinny, average height, and bald guy. He told the gentlemen in my cab very rudely and loudly to get out. They asked me what was going on. I explained to them very calmly that he wants them to leave my cab and I apologized to them about that. After they left my cab, the doorman started yelling at me and telling me to leave the property. At this point, I was in complete shock because I've never had that type of issue before. Mind you, I'm a new cab driver who is still learning the rules and regulations on how to conduct business at the casinos as a cab driver. So I was totally unaware of what I was doing wrong. I told the doorman that I did nothing wrong and asked him is he serious. He said that me trying to pick up passengers from the side of the lobby is against the rules. I tried to explain to him that I'm still pretty new and don't know all the rules that apply to the casinos. He became very irate and told me very rudely to leave. On my way to another casino, I told him I'm going to make a big complaint on him. Then I left. Not too long after leaving Caesars Palace, I called my driver supervisor to tell him about the incident to cover my tracks. He explained to me that what I attempted to do at Caesars Palace is called back loading which is against the rules of all the properties at the Las Vegas Strip. I told him that moving forward, I won't do that again now that I know that to be true. I'm sharing my story to raise awareness on the buffoonery that tends to occur at Caesars Palace between us drivers and some of the doormen who think they can disrespect us and continue to get away with it. I want this complaint to get sent to every manager who works at this casino so they can look deeper into this issue. I'm not trying to cause any trouble. All I'm trying to do is make an honest living and take care of my daughter. That is all.

What a joke. Stayed at one of their properties in AZ, Harrahs. Was charged double what I was quoted for a nightly security deposit. Secondly had issues with hotel staff knocking on my door at 2am to let some lost person into their room, the6 didn't know where there room was so the hotel staff that was with them sounded on my door and I let them know they had incorrect room. Called security and was not helped nor was i offered any type of compensation to sweeten the experience. Lastly my deposit was stolen, not at checkout but days later saying I was charged certain fees, when inquiring about those fees I was transferred to room service because apparently they are responsible for the fee? No management oversight, literal theft of my deposit and not a single email or call from management or corporate. Never again and I will tell anyone I can what a scam this hotel is. With the high percentage of negative reviews you'd think they would get their act together but with their cheap and falling stock price hopefully they will disappear soon.

It is our first time here and we were very dissatisfied. Room was dated. TV did not work. Vent in bathroom does not work and no shower door. Shower got clogged and room is not cleaned properly. Maintenance did fix shower very quickly. Front desk agent Domingo was very unhelpful and unprofessional . Sierra and Sabrina were helpful and professional at the front desk. Everything is an extra charge. We will not recommend staying. We were here to celebrate our Mothers 75th Birthday. Our family had three rooms and each room had issues. The best part of the hotel was the Cafe!!

Mid trip we resolved our issues with the front desk, they accommodated us and upgraded us without any problems. Thank you to Planet Hollywood for listening to our concerns and providing us with options to fix what we had issues with. Corporate office can get in touch with us if they need more background.

Nice rooms. Casino was fine. Cool sights to see around the building. Conference facility was very good with excellent meals. Table minimums were above my budget even on a Monday. Gotta take time to see the mall.
