Clarksville, Tennessee’s Best Restaurants and Bars | Eater Nashville

"In the morning, locals line up at Café 931 for generously stuffed breakfast burritos packed with chorizo, potatoes, and egg or, for a more Southern spin, biscuit, gravy, sausage, and egg. This family-run restaurant serves recipes from their own ancestral cookbook. To shake up the breakfast routine, the café also serves acai bowls and horchata-blended coffee drinks. Don’t miss Taco Tuesdays where you can order up tacos on freshly made corn tortillas and try your hand at the weekly cornhole competition." - Celina Colby

Went on Cinco de Mayo. Had Birra Taco’s. The portion was good size and they were delicious. The horchata was really good. The music was a little loud they had a dj for Cinco de Mayo.

My daughter and I came in this morning for the first time. Great experience. We played ping pong until our food came out. The food was very good at a decent price. I had the biscuit and gravy burrito and she had an açaí bowl. I followed up with a good latte. They have some things set out for kids to do and a nice spread out dinning room. We will definitely be back.

LOCAL Clarksville

Google
This is one of our favorite places to eat in Clarksville. The team that runs this business are always friendly and we can tell that they really love what they do. They consistently create new items on the menu and everything is always delicious and fresh. The breakfast and lunch are both equally wonderful. No matter where you are driving from, their açaí bowls are worth the drive! We have very few local breakfast places in town so that makes this place extra special. -Update: 4/22/25 Spent the day working from Cafe 931 with the team—laptops out, good coffee, and a great atmosphere to get things done. We started with acai bowls for breakfast and wrapped up lunch with birria tacos and loaded fries. It quickly turned into our office for the day—just with much better food. The giant chess board may have pulled us away from our screens for a bit, but it was the perfect mix of focus and fun. If you're looking for a laid-back spot to work and grab a bite, definitely check it out—and let them know LOCAL sent you! 🧡

I had the Cali burrito with Al pastor and my wife had the Al pastor tacos. Since I left California five years ago, I’ve been itching for the taste that I’ve not had for years but this place……knocked it out the park. The meat is perfectly seasoned and cooked. The sauces are wonderful. The environment is big, cozy and friendly for all to come and spend time. I thank God this place exists and the chance to support a family business makes my heart even happier. If you want delicious food with big portions and can taste the love, come here.

Visited on a Saturday morning and took some time to explore the menu. Unfortunately, all the meat options contain pork, so if you avoid pork, there aren’t any alternative meat choices. On a positive note, the staff were friendly, and the restaurant was mostly clean, though our table could have used a bit more attention. The premade fresh juices are a nice touch, but the orange juice isn’t freshly squeezed, which was disappointing. Additionally, there were crumbs on the outside of my orange juice glass, which detracted from the experience. We ordered the pancake bowl and the vegetarian burrito. While the food was edible, the presentation could use some improvement. The flavors were average at best, and for $30, the portions felt underwhelming. A bit more seasoning could go a long way. Overall, it’s not a place I’d rush back to. The experience was passable but not memorable. 3/5 stars.

Google
Huge dining room!! The food was as if it was cooked at home. The attention to detail was excellent. I’ve driven by the restaurant many times and I’m sorry it took me so long to stop in. Definitely suggest the sausage burrito and the pancake!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing! We tried the biscuit and gravy burrito, Chile relleno burrito, 3 tacos (chicken, carne asada and al pastor) with rice and beans and an açaí bowl and everything was amazing! The flavors of the meats in the tacos were out of this world- best I've had anywhere! Rice and beans fantastic, granddaughter said the açaí bowl was the best she's ever had, no one person could ever finish one of the burritos. Everything tasted so good and was made so well. The service was wonderful, warm and friendly staff. We will be back!

Yelp
Food is good, but bland. We were searching for the flavor in the veggie bowl and a salt shaker. It's pretty much all potatoes. Service is great Ambiance needs a little work. Music would go a long way.

Yelp
I was excited for the ramen birria since I had always heard of it but never really tried it yet. I felt like I fairly good but not something I'd veg excited to order again. However the açaí bowl was pretty good. It was frozen a bit before it was sent out to give a crisp nice taste to the bowl overall and was pretty flavorful I'd order it again.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem that needs some more exposure. It's a family run business that serves an eclectic mix of foods - breakfast and lunch burritos/bowls, acai bowls, fresh juices, and coffee. Everyone here is super friendly, and all of the food is fresh and homemade. The mother is the chef, and on Tuesday they are open for dinner, serving tacos made with homemade corn tortillas. Everything I've had has been delicious. For breakfast I've tried the apple pie acai bowl, chorizo burrito, and pancake burrito. My next trip will involve the biscuit and gravy burrito. For dinner, I've had the taco platter, birria burrito, and the birria ramen. The combo of birria and ramen was quite tasty and came with 3 mini cheese quesidillas made with the homemade corn tortillas. They also have a full cafe for all or caffeine needs, as well as a wide selection of fresh juices and smoothies. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Arrived at 12:10 on a Wednesday. Big girl at the counter takes our order complete with a pressure tip with super flat affect and obvious disdain. There were four other people in the dining room. 50 minutes later still no food and no explanation why. The three girls working the bar had ordered food in the meantime and sitting at the bar eating. When I asked where was our order nobody knew. I requested a refund but nobody knew how to do it. Had to wait another ten minutes on big girl to come "out of the bathroom". Her explanation was all the food is made fresh and they are short of help. No apology or real reason of any kind. The reality is she never placed the order as no one else could find it. I assume this was a racist slight of a biracial couple. It was our first and last visit to what was the sorriest experience I've yet to have in Clarksville over the two years we've lived here. Save your time and your money. It's a waste

Yelp
The cafe was delightful and the owner seemed kind and warm. I recently switched to going pescatarian and will be going back for the veggie burrito. Be warned, there spicy sauce is actually spicy.

Yelp
A little hard to find since there no building signage yet but such a cute place! So happy to find a delicious Açaí Bowl in Clarksville! The ladies were super sweet and friendly. She makes everything fresh to order. The açaí bowl was beautiful and delicious They close at 1:00 so that's a bummer but on Tuesday they re-open at 4-7 for Taco Tuesday!!

Yelp
Cafe 931 is an absolute gem in Clarksville! My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed and craving for more. The first thing that caught my attention was their Acai bowl, which was not only fresh but also incredibly delicious. It had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy flavors, with a generous portion of toppings that added a delightful crunch to every bite. If you are a fan of Acai bowls, this is a must-try. Next, I tried the bacon chorizo bowl, and it didn't disappoint. The combination of savory bacon and chorizo with a medley of vegetables created a hearty and satisfying meal. The flavors blended harmoniously, and each ingredient was cooked to perfection. It was a comforting and flavorful choice, ideal for breakfast or brunch. But the true star of the show was the asada bowl. This dish exceeded all my expectations. The tender, marinated steak was cooked flawlessly, and the seasoning added a burst of flavor that made my taste buds dance with joy. The accompanying potatoes and cheese were the perfect accompaniment, creating a well-rounded and mouthwatering meal. It's safe to say that the asada bowl at Cafe 931 is nothing short of amazing. To quench our thirst, my wife ordered the Thomas from the juice menu, and she absolutely loved it. The combination of flavors in this juice was refreshing and invigorating. Aside from the incredible food, the staff at Cafe 931 were friendly, welcoming, and attentive. Their positive and cheerful demeanor added to the overall great experience. The service was prompt, and the staff was knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations and answering any questions we had. I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a remarkable dining experience.

Yelp
I'm an avid coffee drinker that genuinely likes black coffee. The coffee I received today was absolutely terrible, sour. The biscuits and gravy was probably some of the worst I've ever had. The gravy didn't even look right, it had a translucent look to it. Terrible!

Yelp
They were so nice & the food was so delicious. I had the Cali Burrito w/ Asada. My husband had a chicken burrito bowl.

Yelp
I really enjoyed both the breakfast items I got and the smoothie. A very good choice for breakfast as well as just wanting a lighter option anytime throughout the day.

Yelp
First time stopping by and was very impressed. Açaí bowl was fresh and flavorful and my son had a burrito that was perfectly sized, full of goodness, and filling. Hoping this place sticks around because it is a nice change from the usual chain place around, and packs a fresh punch to the Sango community.

Yelp
What a surprise! We had the Randy juice (super fresh!!) and two burritos...one with chorizo and one with sausage. You will feel the very heart of this business as they truly care about your experience. Nice atmosphere with plenty of space!

Yelp
If you want a juice, burrito or acai bowl...you found your place! Better to order ahead as they can get busy now that the world is spreading how delicious Cafe 931 is!

Yelp
Café 931 on Madison is amazing, the service is great and the food is always fresh. I have made friends with the owners and have such a great time every time I go. I have a craving right now and that's why I'm thinking about it, I usually get their mermaid bowl and their breakfast burrito but actually just in a bowl. Everything about it is wonderful look how fresh the food looks!

Sam D.

Yelp
Love this place. We got a couple different types of burritos and bowls and the quality was great. Definitely filling and tasted great. Staff was friendly and accommodating even when they were short on staff for the day. Glad they're a few minutes away and give me another great option for breakfast, eat in or pickup.

Yelp
Açaí bowl was great. Burrito was terrible. I asked for something and she brought the wrong thing out. She went back to fix it and made it worst. Not going back.

Yelp
Quiet place that is just getting started but not happy with the portion size. Ordered the bacon chorizo bowl and added rice. Hardly any meat or eggs and even with the rice it only filled up half of the to go bowl. Taste was descent but I am left hungry after a $9 meal.

Yelp
I will never return to this establishment. Today was my 3rd time coming here. My first time service was excellent! They really lived up to the reviews my neighborhood friends gave. My second time I brought a friend of mine from out of town who had a bad experience after they messed up her burrito 2 TIMES!! They also charged her for the peanut butter for her açaí bowl and never put it on there but her only complaint was the messed up burrito. Even after the lady brought out the burrito the second time she had an attitude like "here's your burrito" as she dumped it on the table and disappeared. We felt awkward so we just took our food to go! When my friend opened her burrito in the car it was covered in grease, barely wrapped and made incorrectly AGAIN! My friend actually made a review on yelp (check it out ! ) On this second trip we received military discounts after she gave us the whole story about the name of their juices and how her son served blah blah. Not only did we receive military discount she also gave it to the couple behind us. My friend , myself and the couple were all in athletic attire. Today I went in and ordered my food brought out my military ID and asked her "you guys do military discount correct" ?? She proceeds to tell me that they ONLY give discounts to military members in UNIFORM So if you want the discount just have you or your husband in uniform when you come here. said okay cool! I paid for my food and left. My problem is that this lady (not the grandma but the one at the register) is so fake nice and keeps making up new rules. Why would she lie about a 10% discount? My friend and her husband were there the day before and got a discount. I also feel that as a new establishment they have a lot to learn about customer service and how to receive negative reviews or when a customer complains. Please do better! I will not be returning after this.

Yelp
I enjoyed the different environment experience. Clarksville is not very open to the Hispanic culture at all and this restaurant is bringing a little Latino flavor to Clarksville. Please, support a business that is trying to incorporate Latino authentic food into the not so friendly to other cultures that Clarksville is. I loved the fruit bowl and really enjoyed the flavorful taste of the burrito. I will definitely visit this place again. If you are a minority that supports small businesses that are giving other cultures a chance at the American dream, show some love and come and eat at this place. This business is partly Latino owned, so you will not get the typical hateful profiling that is customary to the Clarksville customer service experience.

Yelp
Great Açaí bowls, really sweet people!! Owner came to check on us and make sure we were satisfied! Had a conversation with us and made us feel super welcomed!

Yelp
I love everything about this place. The service and food are always great. I get the Papas Con Chorizo burrito and my wife loves the acai bowls

Yelp
I don't normally write reviews. However my family of 5 have gone here every Tuesday for 2.5 months for Taco Tuesday. Today will be the last Tuesday we come here. We were excited to find a small mom and pop taco shop that was family friendly with kid activities inside to do. We couldn't wait to become regulars and enjoy our tradition of taco Tuesdays here after the gym. We are still treated like strangers. No one says hi or anything. This place is full of high schooler that hangout and distract the workers. Today I ordered a burrito for my daughter (on the menu it says add a side of rice and beans with your burrito for $1) I asked for that side with the burrito. When I got my receipt they charged me $2.99 for the side of rice (which is tiny) and $2.99 for a half cup of beans. I spoke up and the lady said she will refund me (didn't end up getting my beans and rice which I thought I would because we come every Tuesday (and tip very well, usually 30% tip) then my 3 daughters wanted a churro. I go up to the counter and order 2 churros. They asked if I wanted plain or custard filled. I said plain. My two churros came out half frozen and filled with Custard. My daughter wouldn't eat it. But by that time I'm was done and chose to ignore it and just look for a new Tuesday tradition.
