Came here during stampede parade day and was shocked to find that the bathroom was closed to paying customers—yes, even after we ordered drinks. The staff gave some vague excuse about being "too busy," but the place was empty. Pretending to be slammed when you're not is one thing, but denying access to basic facilities is another—especially when you serve drinks.
Under the City of Calgary building code, any café or food-serving establishment that allows seating must provide accessible washroom access to patrons. Closing the bathroom for convenience is not only inconsiderate but likely illegal. It's a public health and safety issue.
To top it off, the drinks were not even worth the stop. The matcha had no matcha flavor, and the latte was painfully mid—flat, uninspired, and overpriced. This place seems more concerned with looking trendy than serving good products or respecting customers.
If you’re looking for a café that follows basic standards and serves something drinkable, look elsewhere. Hard pass.
