"Cafe Alma is a giant coffee shop and community event space that’s great for meetups with friends, deep morning personal reflections, or an easy snack. This warehouse-like place is a mid-century dream: full of rotating art, vintage cookware, plush couches, and tables. On top of hiring and sourcing products from within Bayview, their menu of smoothies, breakfast sandwiches, salads, and paninis put a fun spin on classic cafe food. Standout items include the avocado toast coated in house-made furikake and the open-faced egg sandwich generously topped with seasonal mushrooms and ricotta." - Ricky Rodriguez

The best cafe around! Good ambience you can choose indoor or outdoor. We were there for brunch and both dishes were amazing. We ordered mocha with almond milk and it was soo good. Especially the biscuit on the side.

Google
It's a very cute place with amazing food! I highly recommend this Rose Pistachio waffles. It was all so good, but the waffles were just the right touch of sweet without being too heavy. The place was very clean and beautifully decorated. The servers were also all so helpful and friendly! I can't recommend them enough! Especially if you want to shake up your weekend brunch plans a little bit, they have a very diverse menu!

Tuna poke bowl was super fresh and vibrant, tuna has a very fresh yet spicy taste, coated in sesame, the toppings in the bowl were all fresh and great textures, could definitely use a bit more sauce because of the heavy amount of rice , but it’s 5/5 for me. Spice still stays on your tongue, even the edemame was roasted and seasoned well. We also got the rainbow veggie hummus, all of the vegetables still had great texture, nothing was overcooked which to me is a big deal. Hummus is definitely the best I’ve ever had. Extremely flavorful and the furthest from bland. My mom had the salmon picatta and the salmon was excellently seasoned and cooked with a wonderful sear, her rice with tomatoes was also very good, didn’t get a chance to try the rose water pistachio waffle, but my sister loves it . I also got a fresh sesame bagel, i forgot to ask for it toasted but that would’ve made it even better, generous side of cream cheese. Lastly we had a mimosa flight which was great, and I tried the lavender orange latte, definitely flavorful , not sure if I’d get it again but it was full of flavor (more toward a cherry note than anything) . Overall I’m not sure why some of these ratings are 3 stars or lower. Our experience was wonderful for the most part! If nothing else, this would be a great place to get some veggie hummus to go . The challah bread is also very good. Not dried out. Flavors were on point for everything and to me, seemed very authentic even though some reviews say otherwise. Definitely give this place a shot!

Google
Nice atmosphere with excellent food. Really interesting drink menu with lots of fun things to try. Really appreciated the flights of different drinks. Good outside seating and dog friendly on the patio.

Google
This place has been on my list for a while because so many different people have told me great things about it. A friend wanted to meet there for coffee/lunch and I was blown away by how amazing everything tasted. The space is beautiful and the service is great too. My favorite was the side of cinnamon apples, which our server recommended putting the leftovers on top of vanilla bean ice cream. I have yet to put those together, but when they start dinner service, that needs to be a dessert option. I would go back in a heartbeat. The hype is real.

Google
First time visiting and I can't wait to return! The service was incredible and I loved the atmosphere. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly. The food was outstanding! The menu has a variety of options, which are all Kosher and the choices are very healthy!

Google
VERY good, had the best lavender latte I've ever had. The shakshuka was amazing too, I love the variety of options. Great location, cute atmosphere, wonderful people. All of the dishes are good, honestly. The menu has a lot of variety, while still not being overwhelming. High quality ingredients. My only complaint is the shakshuka was pretty salty, but I also don't like salt so I'm probably biased.

srinjana dhar

Google
The place is gorgeous and very pretty, the hummus & the freshly squeezed orange juice was great! Very few restaurants have fresh juice options and they have a lot of healthy choices as well which was great! But we were a bit disappointed with the overall service and the hospitality(maybe cause it was a Saturday afternoon). The service was extremely slow and it generally lacked the usual Midwestern warmth! The food was overall good, we tried the Sabich - wish there was an option of the authentic version of it with Pita. The shakshuka was pretty good!

Yelp
I finally made it here and so glad I did The food is top notch and the decor is bright and beautiful Our server Nick was very helpful and so nice The avocado toast was delightful pickled onions made it shine The cafe miel is a combination of honey and vanilla perfection My friend built her own bagel So much to choose from so I will be back

Jamie S.

Yelp
Amazing food. Fresh, colorful and delicious. Generous portions. Staff is very friendly. Alcohol and non-alcohol drinks. Sahklav (drink) was delicious. This local neighborhood restaurant is a gem! Casual. The owners seem to always be there. Super friendly and welcoming.

Gigi H.

Yelp
A win every single time. The service is stellar, ambiance is amazing. The food is so good, and you can tell they use quality ingredients. They also have the best croissants in all of Cincy. They have a small bar/coffee stand in the back where they also have pastries, but it is a sit down restaurant as well. Can't say enough good things about this place. Truly a hidden gem.

Khiang S.

Yelp
Had a wonderful brunch at Cafe Alma when I visited family in Cincinnati. It was quite a wait to get a table since we didn't make a to reservation. The place was busy and we had a baby with us then. Service was quick and the food was just wonderful. The French toast with challah bread is amazing. Definitely recommend that. My avocado toast was tasty and so full that it was hard to keep everything on the toast while taking a bite. I would recommend cafe Alma to anyone and would definitely return here for another meal in the future.

Jane R.

Yelp
Now this is BRUNCH! What a cure brunch spot with the girls. I had a baklavvatte and the sun dried tomato eggs Benedict. So yummy! And such a fun time with the girls.

Carolyn B.

Yelp
A friend took me to this quaint cafe and I love it there! It was my first time having a Shakshuka and it was delicious!! I've had it on more occasions since then. Truly my favorite is their Mediterranean Poke Bowl. It was full of color, texture and amazing flavor. I've had it twice already even though I'm the type who likes to try different things each time. There is a swing in the smaller portion of the restaurant. I've seen people sitting there with their coffee while reading. What a comfy looking spot! It's my perception that the side to the left is a little quieter. Will definitely be back agai!

Ally M.

Yelp
Café Alma was a new experience. I enjoyed their unique menu and fun coffees. It is a great spot for vegetarians, and if you want some different breakfast options. The shakshuka was delicious and very well done. My friend had the Benedict and was a bit disappointed that the poached eggs were hard inside. I enjoyed the baklavatte's unique flavor, however some of our coffee's weren't very hot when we got them. Other than that, the service was great and the atmosphere inside was very cute.

Michael E.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to go for brunch in Cincinnati. Great vegetarian choices and the coffee is out of this world good. The staff is friendly and answered all my questions about the menu and made great recommendations. Today I had the classic shashuka, the avocado twist and the seasonal coffee flight. All were excellent with the vanilla chai being the best of the flight. Parking is ample across the street. I am looking forward to coming back again!

Yelp
In a search for "kosher near me" we came across Cafe Alma. Being from out of town I know nothing about the neighborhood but it looked to be kind of cute and as one approaches Cafe Alma it is no less cute (see pics). A lovely building with a nice patio. The inside is sprawling and equally nice. Upon entering we were greeted by a delightfully peppy hostess who cheerfully announced she'd also be our server. Great start! The menu is extensive and interesting which made it difficult to make a decision! We decided on sharing one savory (I don't remember which) and one sweet- an interesting grilled cheese with added sweetness, unusually and yummy. The bread that is used is so good. They also have some great looking bakery items and drinks. I am short on details but suffice it to say that the experience from ambience to food to service was great and I look forward to going back and trying more menu items. All that being said, I've been told that their kosher certification is questionable... if you truly care.

Katie D.

Yelp
This is my favorite brunch spot in Cincinnati. I really don't think you can go wrong with anything on their menu. Some favorites of mine are the grilled cheese, any of their shakshukas, and the açaí bowl. Their coffee is also amazing- I like the flights because you get a unique mix of ones to try, but I usually just get a vanilla or caramel latte. The restaurant is very spacious and comfortable, and the service is always incredible. I can't recommend this place enough!

Linda R.

Yelp
I have found my new wonderful place for coffee, lunch, whatever, I just adore this place!! True Mediterranean food not abashed enfluence, the real thing!!! Lovely atmosphere and very attentive to everyone. Educational and The Best Food!! They have space for a party too and I saw a set up one, very impressive! You'll love it!!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Cafe Alma is one of my favorite brunch spots in Cincinnati. I brought my friends here for their first time, and it did not disappoint! We got cocktails which were delicious. The Mediterranean sunset was so bright and refreshing. They only had one bartender, so drinks took a while, but they were worth it. Then we got my usuals, the challah French toast and the Israeli tabbouleh with blackened salmon. The French toast comes with 3 pieces and fresh fruit, and is definitely enough to share. It's perfectly sweet and the coconut whipped cream is delicious. The tabbouleh with the blackened salmon is so incredible as always, very fresh with perfectly seasoned salmon. They may ask you how you want your salmon cooked, and I always get mine well done. The 3 of us were full after that so we took the pancakes to go. The only downside to Cafe Alma is that they always seem a bit short staffed. The staff is so kind and helpful with suggestions, but don't come here in a rush. If you want delicious, fresh food, and you have the time, you definitely need to check out Cafe Alma!!!

Johnnie C.

Yelp
On a recommendation from a friend, I tried Cafe Alma on Montgomery Rd. I had check the menus out ahead of time so I was prepared for a Kosher, healthy, Mediterranean fare. I was impressed with atmosphere: popular family brunch spot, neighborhood meeting place, home. Service was wonderful and we were seated within 5 minutes of the estimate given when we arrived. We started hummus, bread and veggies - creamy and delicious. I think the pictures speak for themselves on how great the food was and the presentation was not neglected. Overall this was a great experience and I plan to return soon!

Shannon W.

Yelp
What a special place. Lunched with my daughter today. Our food was delicious, we had Blazen Balkan Shashuka, hummus, veggies, challah bread, and the baklava latte. The atmosphere is so warm and comfortable. I can't wait to go again!

Margaret L.

Yelp
A decent brunch here, with one good and one slightly disappointing order, and somewhat inattentive service. We landed a walk-in around peak brunch time on a Saturday. Rosewater pistachio waffles: disappointing. I got only the faintest hint of rosewater, and the pistachio seemed to only be the nuts sprinkled on top. Really we just tasted waffle and maple syrup. There was a ring of maple syrup drizzle on the plate, which served the plating aesthetic but was far from enough, and I had to ask for a refill. The waffle itself was average - not particularly crispy on the edges or warm straight off the press. Benjy's Veggie Shakshuka: pretty good. I think the broccoli chunks were too big, and I prefer multiple slices of toast over one giant hunk of bread. Also no spoon, which I feel like is a must. This wasn't mind-blowing, but if I came here again I would choose this. Huge, spacious interior makes the place feel comfortable and less noisy. The servers were pretty hard to flag down, including at the end when we wanted to pay and be on our way. Prices seemed a little high for the area, so I was left hoping for a bit more.

Brocha E.

Yelp
This place is straight up heaven for the vegetarian dinner, and there are great fish choices as well! What a beautiful vibe, with tons of seating and tall ceilings! Gorgeous coffee bar with tons of unique offerings. I tried the Nutella hot chocolate (tall, frothy, and not too sweet) and the lavender orange latte (the recommended choice of my awesome waiter) This coffee is a must try, with super floral notes and not a trace of of bitterness, I've never had anything like it and I will definitely be getting it again. I got the challah with hummus, the south of the border shakshuka and the avocado twist. All were so so excellent but the order again winner was definitely the avocado twist, an excellent version of avocado toast that I could definitely see becoming an addiction. You gotta try this place! The service is warm and welcoming with plenty of parking across the street as well as in front of the restaurant. I am already planning my return trip!

Yelp
My new favorite spot for brunch in Cincinnati! Cafe Alma is a very cute restaurant in pleasant ridge with Mediterranean brunch dishes as well as some standard American breakfast items. We came around noon on a Thursday without a reservation and had to wait for about 20 minutes so definitely recommend making a reservation before if you can. The food was all fresh and delicious - highly recommend the Shakshuka, best in the city by far!

Morgan M.

Yelp
I love Cafe Alma! It has been such a great addition to Pleasant Ridge. Cafe Alma offers many unique and fun menu items that can fit many dietary needs. I appreciate that everything is very clearly marked on their menu. I recently visited and had the Mediterranean Poke Bowl and not only was it beautiful it was bursting with flavor! Other favorites on the menu are the shakshuka and the hummus and gain bowls. I am gluten free so I have not been able to enjoy their famous, award winning waffles, but know that many patrons say they are amazing! I paired my most recent meal with a cold brew coffee, which was also very tasty. I have tried the seasonal rotating coffee/latte flights in the past and they have been full of unique flavors - basically all of the beverages here are amazing! The space is great, bright and welcoming. It can get loud during peak hours but they have continued to refine what sound dampening items they have across the space to help with the issue. The patio outside is great as well, I think every table has an option for shade which is great. Parking is a little difficult and they have a small lot right next to the restaurant, as well as there is parking across the street. Overall love this place and keep it on my list of frequently visited restaurants - recommend everyone give it a try!

Alyssa L.

Yelp
Cafe Alma has some of the most delicious brunch in the city. If you're looking for great food with Mediterranean flare and unique options, I highly recommend it. The Alma's Classic was the star of the meal. A very simple dish with egg and sauce, yet so flavorful and impactful. The French toast was very good, but super sweet. I recommend getting a side of fruit to cut the sweetness. Our service was good. Overall loved the place and we will be back again. Only downside was the seating - the table we were sat at was lower than a normal dining table and the chairs were very uncomfortable. Granted, the type of table we sat at is NOT the same as the majority of the seating, but it is still worth noting. They have lovely patio seating outside when the weather is nice.

Yelp
Great food nice restaurant you should give it a try if your in the area it won't disappoint your epic stay fresh

Isaac S.

Yelp
Easily one of the best brunch spots in Cincinnati. Café Alma is the place you would want to bring all your family and out-of-town guests. Even on first impression, the beautiful and classy exterior of the building reflects all the goodness going on inside. When you walk in, there's a café with baked goods straight ahead. Plenty of seating for diners on either side. Love all the natural light and interior design choices that make the space welcoming. We were greeted with a smile and seated promptly with an explanation of the menu. Started off the meal with a chai latte and fresh squeezed orange juice. The chai was smooth and fragrant. The orange juice was delicious. For our meal, we opted for the lasagna and Israeli breakfast sandwich. Both were incredibly good -- perfectly cooked, fresh ingredients, tasted like most everything was made from scratch. They ended up complementing each other since the lasagna was on the heavier side with stronger flavors, and the Israeli breakfast sandwich lighter with hummus/veggies. We left full and satisfied. There are so many things on the menu that we wanted to try -- Based on first impressions, I'm guessing most everything on their menu will be delicious. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
After spending quite a bit of time in Cincinnati before my fiancé, now husband, moved my way, it was not hard to decide on my favorite restaurant in town - Cafe Alma is it, hands down! Now I will say, while I have zero complaints about any food or drink item here, I've only been impressed with service once, and it was the young man's last day. Servers typically seem so overwhelmed, they seemingly forget about tables and aren't the happiest to be stopped when you need something. If this could be ever so slightly tweaked, it would be fantastic. Also, finding parking here isn't easy, but there's a lot of street parking within a few blocks. Be prepared to walk a little as the tiny parking lot for about 10 cars is always packed full and impossible (too small) to turn around in. Of things I love here (everything?!), the coffee flight and kombucha flight are wonderful with such a fantastic flavor variety. But the hummus with the homemade served-warm challah? Woah, it's hard to describe just how fantastic it is every. single. time! The side of roasted apples with cinnamon is a must try, like comfort food you don't want to stop indulging in, with a healthier twist (an apple a day, ya know?!). They also have excellent soup and their veggie burger (not our normal go-to) is very delicious and packed with flavor. Meat options are limited here but don't let that stop you, the dishes without meat are so good and so filling, you won't miss it. While the waiting area is tiny, with only one couch that could fit 3-4 people, there's a main dining area and another area down a couple stairs where drinks are made, along with a pastry case (options sell out quickly after they open). Highly, highly recommend checking out my favorite place when in the Queen City - your taste buds will thank you endlessly!

Michelle T.

Yelp
I cannot love Café Alma enough!!! From the moment we walked in the vibe was fun and friendly!! The Medi Mezze platter with fresh challah is enough just to split but why stop there when you can have order 2 Shakshuka's (4 on menu!) but seriously do not leave without ordering the Blazen Balkan and Nina's Green Goddess. Each comes with a personal (read LARGE) challah roll to dip. As for beverages....mimosa flights, Latte Flights and everything in between!!! Go during rush, get on wait list, order a flight and chill on the indoor swing...nothing there will disappoint you!!

Mikayla A.

Yelp
Stumbled upon Cafe Alma today after looking for a restaurant close to where my dog was getting groomed. It was pretty empty upon arrival. The space is very large and perfect for a group of friends or an intimate conversation. They have 2 outdoor patio areas that looked nice. I was greeted at the door and sat at an area near the bar. The server was very attentive and was able to give recommendations on the menu and answered any questions I had. I ordered the Nutella latte while I looked over the food menu. The Nutella latte was brought out at just the perfect temperature to enjoy right away, and was made with love and care! It was delicious! I decided to order an omelette with mozzarella, onion and spinach. It came with a side (they had lots of choices) and I got the roasted sweet potatoes. It also came with fresh challah bread and butter. It came out quickly and was a HUGE serving of food! The omlet was tasty, but the roasted sweet potatoes were amazing! I can't wait to go back and enjoy a cocktail on their patio!

Ann C.

Yelp
Cafe Alma is a lovely restaurant with delicious coffee and food! I went for the 1st time with a friend and my daughter and we had enough options for 3 different palettes. Service was also great even when it was a busy Sunday morning. Because I loved it so much I took my MIL the following weekend for breakfast. Highly recommend the Benedict's and cafe Miele!

Scott N.

Yelp
We've been here three times this year and I had something different each time. That says a lot. The restaurant is cute as all get out. And outdoor seating is a very nice option provided the weather cooperates. Everyone working there has always been super courteous and helpful. It's always a pleasure. I've had the Green Goddess Shakshuka, the Avocado Twist and Mira's Power Bowl. Every one of these meals is outstanding in it's own way. The shakshuka was a bowl full of comfort. The Avocado Twist is the best avocado toast dish I've ever eaten. The Mira's Power Bowl was surprisingly flavorful and filling. The fresh juices are fantastic. We always get baklava to go from the bakery (don't forget to visit before you leave). I'm pretty sure there's not a bad thing on the menu.

Peg M.

Yelp
Cafe Alma is a regular brunch stop for my son and his fiancé. I joined them today and now I understand why it's a favorite. Sure, there are omelets and pancakes and all you'd expect, but what shines at Cafe Alma are the Mediterranean specialties. We shared an avocado twist, beetroot tahini, avocado, pickled red onions and pepitas on the fresh challah that comes with everything. The hummus is fresh and light without overpowering garlic. The Israeli sandwich my son ordered is among the many vegetarian and vegan options. But the center of the menu features several versions of Shakshuka and the two at our table, the Green Goddess and Balkan Blaze, were outstanding. There are also a range of teas, a barista coffee bar and mimosas to try. This pleasant spot in Pleasant Ridge is worth a trip; there is nothing in the area quite like it.

Alissa M.

Yelp
Beyond obsessed with this place. The decor was super cute, coffee flight was phenomenal, and food was top tier. If it isn't on your list, add it now bc it's a must visit.

Olivia A.

Yelp
The food was absolutely amazing and had such a great brunch here when I was in town visiting a friend. However, we had a bad experience with one of the employees who was working at the cafe. It was a 30+ minute wait, and he refused to let us order something to drink while we waited. I get that it *might* take away from the tip from the server, or ... hear me out ... I could order two drinks instead of one. To add insult to it, we saw multiple people get sat before us with coffees and pastries in hand. So clearly they were allowed to order while they waited. It was very frustrating. Our waitress once we sat down was really lovely though.

Kelly H.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE Cafe Alma! Every time I go the service is incredible and the atmosphere is lively but homey at the same time. Usually I'm a creature of comfort here and go with the Blazin' Balkin' Shakshuka...it's one of those dishes that immediately make me feel happy and cozy. But just recently I went and branched out - I ordered the Mira Power Bowl with Blackened Salmon and now I can't stop thinking about it - it's my favorite salad in the city. It was amazingly colorful, a little sweet, a little savory and that beetroot tahini dressing is magical! The salmon was also cooked to perfection and was the perfect addition (thanks to the amazing recommendation from our server). Cafe Alma will continue to stay at the top of my list.

Kristin P.

Yelp
Amazing indoor and outdoor seating food that makes you feel good about eating it. Variety of diteria restriction friendly options. Super inventive coffees, drinks and cocktails.

Vero B.

Yelp
Wishing I had more than one stomach so I could try everything on the menu. I do have some awesome friends who let me tried their plates and I was in heaven. The food is delicious with top notch ingredients. There is something for everyone in the menu. The service was a little slow, but typical for a Sunday brunch, which allowed me to catch up with friends. The restaurant is big, vibrant and happy atmosphere, and there is plenty of parking available around the area. Kudos to the restaurant for not only making yummy food, but also presenting it so beautifully. Can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.

Terri M.

Yelp
Loved our visit to this cafe while on vacation. The glass of freshly squeezed orange juice was delicious. Service was on point. From walking in to leaving this was one of the best places we visited.

Kyle B.

Yelp
- CAFE REVIEW ONLY - Stopped by and ordered some drinks from the cafe on a Saturday morning. They were all bomb. Really enjoyed the orange and carrot juice, refreshing and light. They fresh squeeze the fruit on site. Preferred the chai latte over the salted honey one. Can't wait to come back and try the food. Staff was super friendly and made the drinks pretty quickly. The interior has an awesome vibe. Parking on the side of the building in a small lot.

Jess C.

Yelp
I'm glad there is a space locally to serve vegan options. My experience was based off date breakfast with my wife. Unfortunately our server forgot our drinks and food. Another server had to help when we asked what was up. I know stuff happens but it was still disappointing. I had the salmon bagel and it was ok. Location is awesome but parking is limited. Maybe 10 spots in their private lot than more across the street.

Kelly F.

Yelp
The absolute best breakfast spot in Cincy!!!! They have juice and coffee flights if you don't know what to order as a drink which are amazing. They also make all their bread in house and their French toast is truly the best around!

Ryane H.

Yelp
Cafe Alma is a wonderful place that graced Pleasant Ridge over a year ago. It's one of regular places my husband and I stop for coffee during our morning walks on the weekends. The staff is always warm and welcoming and the atmosphere pulls you in and makes you want to stay awhile. When the weather is nice you have the option to sit outdoors and when it's cooler you can still sit near the windows and enjoy the sun.

Amy W.

Yelp
Fantastic service, cute patio, amazing food and the best lattes around! It gets crowded but they are on it!

Sara W.

Yelp
FIANLLY made it to Café Alma after following their instagram for a while. They offer a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes, and I love that they have plenty of vegetarian options. We went in during a weekday at lunch time and we were able to be seated quickly. I LOVE that they have coffee flights-I opted for the seasonal and enjoyed all the flavors. Our table ordered two Shakshoukas (Classic Shakshouka and Veggie Shakshouka) and the French toast. We needed another order of challah bread because the Shakshouka was so big (and the bread was so good). Everything was fresh and full of flavor. They also have a bakery, but I unfortunately was too full to grab a treat before I left.

Colleen A.

Yelp
I had a friend visiting from out of town and as soon as she said she wanted to go to breakfast, I knew I had to take her to Cafe Alma. The food is superb and the ambiance is so chill and bright. I love it so much. I ordered the med dip trio with gluten free bread and veggie sticks. The green tahini was my favorite of the 3, but I loved the hummus with za'atar and the beetroot tahini as well. It was the perfect light breakfast I was looking for. My friend got a bagel and cream cheese and some fresh fruit. The bagels are Montreal-style. We are both big tea drinkers, so we loved the variety of tea lattes. She got an oat milk chai and I got an almond milk golden turmeric latte, which was one of the best I've ever had. Our servers were kind and patient. Highly recommend a trip to Cafe Alma!

Maggie D.

Yelp
A lovely and peaceful place to stop by! For dietary restrictions, there are some gluten free bakery options as well as vegan. I just wish they offered to warm the baked goods on ordering. The snicker doodle was life changingly good and had candied ginger and lots of orange. The gluten free goods didn't have that usual stiff feeling - they were soft and delicious. They had minimal workers so service was a little slow, but it was worth waiting as the decorations and seating arrangement here makes it a great place to wait. One important thing - their kitchen is closed on Mondays! Can't wait for my next visit here!

Phil K.

Yelp
Visited on a very busy Saturday, food choices were amazing, we , had the Rainbow Humus , mushroom soup and the Blazin Balkin could not have been better, server !

Jayme H.

Yelp
What an adorable cafe in the middle of Pleasant Ridge. A coworker and I came here to grab some coffee, breakfast, and to get some work done on a midweek morning around 10am. I walked in and discovered that the space is super homey and huge!I had no idea it was this big. There's a long bar, cute hanging swings, tons of tables and chairs, and even a couch. Cozy feels right way. Their menu is pretty large, offering coffee drinks, specialty teas, salads, hummus bowls, shakshuka, sandwiches, and even cocktails. I ordered a matcha rose latte and avocado toast. Both were very pretty when it came to presentation. Both were also equally delicious. Just take a peek at my photos. I'll add that the service was insanely awesome. I loved that the owners were there and it's clearly a family run restaurant. You got that vibe right away. I would totally be back if I lived in the neighborhood. And I'll probably be back to work again sometime. The wifi was great. Pro tip - If you're coming for lunch, know that it gets poppin' in there!

Joop V.

Yelp
I like Cafe Alma. It's a very popular breakfast/brunch location in Cincinnati and a happening place if you are looking to enjoy your social life with friends (or family!). They have both savory and sweet breafast/lunch dish (they recommend shashuka for savory and pistachio waffles for sweets--but also mentioned you can't really go wrong with any choice. My friend and I shared Challah French toast and Rosewater pistachio dish. They were totally instagram worthy and look beautiful. They taste quite good, too...although I wish the dishes aren't as bland (I thought the waffles were good..but..I really didn't taste much pistachio or rose water at all). Overall, great place with nice service. It can be a little loud depending on which section of the restaurant you sit in as well. But, in general, the service is friendly, many dishes to try...and seemed ok price point vice for the trendy/instagram type of place.

Yelp
This was my first visit at cafe Alma and definitely won't be my last! The building was super cute and I loved that they had both outdoor and indoor seating! The food was so delicious and even choosing what to order was difficult! I ended up getting eggs Benedict and loved it! I also ordered their seasonal matcha flight which was so fun to try a variety and figure out which flavors were my favorite! I even tried their Bloody Mary and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it, usually I'm not a fan of them because most places make them too spicy. My only complaints were the waiting area was very small for how much foot traffic this place gets making it crowded at times and the hostess seemed very overwhelmed and looked to (what seemed to be) her manager for every person she was going to help. I didn't even hear her call my name and I was right by the desk waiting. Overall I can see why this place is so popular and trendy! I can't wait to go back and try more things!

Yelp
I can't believe it's taken me this long to review the incredible Café Alma! I have absolutely adored this vegetarian eatery since I first visited last fall, and have given it a regular spot in my remote work rotation. Don't miss out on their early morning specials - they open at 7 a.m., and it's a great way to snag a good seat and beat the inevitable lunch rush. Heads-up that their Wi-Fi router is in the room to the right of the front door, so if you're planning to hang out for a while, try to score a spot in that area. Their menu is extensive - and I always make it a point to try something new when I stop in. On my most recent visit, I was able to enjoy a Dirty Chai Latte, and the "Blazin' Balkan" Shakshuka. I love that their coffee drinks use real ingredients - my tea/coffee combo was the perfect mix of spicy-sweet goodness. The Shakshuka was absolutely delicious - it's served with a small bread roll, and packed full of fresh vegetables like tomato and eggplant. I loved the added olives, as well - for texture and salt. I've also tried (and loved) their Rosewater Pistachio Waffle, their Canadian Grilled Cheese, and their Avocado Twist. These dishes are as tasty as they are beautiful - your phone is definitely going to want to eat first! Plan a visit to Café Alma ASAP - seriously, don't miss out on this neighborhood favorite!!

Yelp
I really appreciate the scratch-made kitchen and vegan options they offer. The service was great and the vibe was perfectly laid back. The award winning rose pistachio waffle was incredible especially with a hot cup of their drip coffee. I will definitely be back!
