We visited the restaurant for breakfast twice during our stay. The first visit was okay, nothing particularly memorable, but good enough to return and try something new.
On our second visit, I ordered the Birria Benedict, which sounded incredible on the menu: slow-cooked brisket birria, melted Mexican cheese, served on an artisanal English muffin, topped with soft poached eggs and chipotle hollandaise, with breakfast potatoes on the side.
Unfortunately, the dish didn't deliver. While the meat was present and flavorful, the cheese -- which was clearly advertised as melted, was nowhere to be found. When I asked about it, I was told it was "mixed into the meat," but it didn't come through in texture or flavor the way you'd expect, especially compared to a traditional birria taco. The eggs were also disappointing. Instead of a soft poached egg with a runny yolk, mine was closer to medium-boiled. The English muffin was extremely thick, which threw off the balance of the dish -- maybe that's the "artisanal" part, but it didn't work well here.
Service during this visit wasn't the best, it felt a bit slow and they didn't care. I will say the breakfast potatoes were excellent and probably the highlight of the meal.
Overall, the Birria Benedict was a great idea on paper, but the execution fell short. I'd recommend sticking to simpler menu items if you visit.
