Cafe Americano opens a second location at Paris in 2020 - Eater Vegas

"Cafe Americano, the 24-hour restaurant at Caesars Palace, plans to open a second location on the Las Vegas Strip in early 2020. Parent company V&E Restaurant Group takes over the Le Café Ile St. Louis space at Paris Las Vegas. This restaurant plans to include French twists on American dishes from executive chef Matt Fresinski. Other new additions after a makeover include a climate-controlled patio, a full bar, and a grab-and-go coffee station." - Susan Stapleton

We went there on Monday about 8p. Great atmosphere...outside building/street facade. Our female server was really bad!!! She forgot my companion's drink and she didn't bring extra sauce for our chicken parmigiana (we requested). The male server that brought our food was nice and did a great job presenting the chicken parmigiana. I ordered the bolognese and it was good.

We had high hopes for this restaurant but were thoroughly disappointed. The pasta was completely dry, and after a long wait for a table despite many being visibly open, the experience only got worse. When I requested the pasta be fixed, they brought a sauce that was overly creamy and equally unappetizing. My daughter’s dish was underwhelming, and my husband’s tacos were also dry and flavorless. For the prices charged, the food quality and service were shockingly poor. Definitely not worth it.

My 5 stars are based on the food that we got only. The double beef burger, was delicious & filling. My boyfriend & I split it just to start the day off with a small portion & to soak up all of last nights alcohol lol. It was tasty & more than enough food.

We waited over 45 minutes just to receive our food. This was AFTER we had to track down someone to ask for a waitress to come to our table. We then had to ask for someone to follow up to find out when the food would arrive because it was taking so long. Horrible service not enough staff very disappointing food. We were on a timeline because of a conference. So, we actually went off-site the next day to eat. I felt the menu was overpriced for what you got on the quality of food. I was completely disappointed with my taco entree choice as they arrived flattened and lying on a bed of grease. Another guest chose the fried chicken sandwich which looked adequate, but again everything was very overpriced, and the wait was agonizing.

I was in Vegas to see the Eagles and Shania Twain. We stayed at the Paris because our friend likes to gamble and usually gambles enough to have the room and food comped. This was my second stay at Paris. The first time was many, many years ago. The hotel has definitely aged. The lobby and some of the restaurants are still beautiful. Cafe Americano is undergoing a remodel, so the restaurant is currently too small for the number of guests. This made the waits long. Unfortunately the food and service also suffered. There were some really bright spots with one or two servers, but we had breakfast here 5 days in a row and a few late night desserts, so there were some pretty poor spots too. The breakfast omelet is good, but there are only so many days in a row you want to eat that. The breakfast potatoes were never hot, or even warm. I think they cook a huge batch to have them ready to go, but why? I tried the Cuban sandwich (yes, for breakfast) and it was lacking flavor. Finally I tried the fried chicken sandwich on the last day (also for breakfast because I was tired of the breakfast foods). That chicken sandwich is awesome and probably the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had! I also really enjoyed the chocolate cake one night after a concert. The cake is delicious but then they cover it with Hershey’s syrup, which is so unnecessary. Most of the waiters seemed grumpy, or perhaps they were overworked. It was hard to say. It’s a good thing they are revamping the restaurant. Hopefully that will give it a renewed energy.

I had breakfast there a couple weeks ago. I had the birria eggs Benedict, and my friend had the chicken and waffles. The eggs Benedict was great, but even better were the chicken and waffles! And I do not normally care for chicken and waffles. But these were phenomenal! And the presentation for both were so good. We also enjoyed a mimosa flight. The three I had were all good, but the berry pink was my favorite. Our server, Mario, was wonderful as well.

The BEST service, both from Rose and the manager Scott. The coffee is fantastic. Food portions are generous. We ate here several times and will come back again
