Cafe Americano opens a second location at Paris in 2020 - Eater Vegas

"Cafe Americano, the 24-hour restaurant at Caesars Palace, plans to open a second location on the Las Vegas Strip in early 2020. Parent company V&E Restaurant Group takes over the Le Café Ile St. Louis space at Paris Las Vegas. This restaurant plans to include French twists on American dishes from executive chef Matt Fresinski. Other new additions after a makeover include a climate-controlled patio, a full bar, and a grab-and-go coffee station." - Susan Stapleton

Exhausted after an early flight to Vegas and an afternoon relaxing in our room we decided to “eat in.” Wow! We are so glad we did! The Cafe Americano is amazing! We imagined we were at a sidewalk cafe in Paris. That's just the atmosphere. The service was attentive, not intrusive. Gabriel took great care of us. Deb ordered a Chopped Salad and I had the Baja Fish Tacos. Both dishes were fresh and flavorful. We managed to clean our plates. This is an immersive experience we thoroughly enjoyed. Cedric stopped by our table as we were finishing to make sure we were happy with the meal. If you can't make it to France stop here for an incredible meal and sensory experience!

Google
Nice place for breakfast and brunch. We had the birria Benedict and it was quite good, with plenty of meat and the eggs cooked perfectly. The Chipotle hollandaise sauce was not too spicy. Excellent coffee and not too bad of a wait for Saturday mid morning.

I had an excellent amazing experience at Café Americano at the Paris Hotel, Shout out to Tommy Neal!. He was incredibly friendly and engaging, interacting easily with everyone seated at the bar and offering great suggestions. Traveling solo can sometimes feel awkward, but Tommy made it comfortable and fun by helping spark great conversations. Was planning to get a quick bite and drink and head to sleep and was about to skip out but got a pleasant service that led me to stay out. Pair that with the delicious drinks he served… especially the *espresso martini* (highly recommend!)… and it made for a perfect stop on my last night of a work trip. Outstanding service all around on a simple trip to the bar.

Google
Smash Burger wasn’t that good. The classic cheeseburger with swiss was Dry. Buns were too thick. Not worth the price. I Asked for Red pepper and she brings a black pepper mill. Also if you want Cheese add $2

Google
Very disappointing. We waited 30 minutes to be seated despite many empty tables, with no communication from the staff at all. At these high prices, basic organization and customer service should be expected. I’ll add photos showing the empty tables.

Google
My daughter and I had such a wonderful experience here! The atmosphere is superb! Our server, Rose was absolutely out of this world fabulous! She was friendly, knowledgeable and so much fun! She made our first visit to Cafe Americano PERFECT! The host was just as wonderful and kind! I’m staying at the Paris and I would love for them to have the late night graveyard open again, I was said to hear it wasn’t available! The food was fantastic and we will be coming back!!! PERFECT PLACE!

We came for breakfast, it wasn’t massively busy and yet it still took us a little while to be seated and served. I had the CA Breakfast Sandwich and my partner had the burrito. My sandwich was lovely but so filling and my partner said the same for his. I also had the orange juice which was delicious (I think it’s freshly squeezed!) but was expensive for what it was ($10 for a small cup). To be honest, everything here was expensive for what it was, to put into perspective, we had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe the night before which cost more or less the same as the breakfast we had here. It was nice and the portion sizes were massive, but I probably wouldn’t come here again.

Maryann M.

Google
Matt was exceptional made the best espresso martini. The chorizo breakfast burrito was also so good and the potatoes crispy but soft on the inside. If I could come everyday I would such a great place. My best friend got ceaser salad it had to much pepper and they took it off our bill which was completely unexpected. This is a must stop if you come by Paris hotel and if your staying here you would miss out if you didn’t.

Yelp
Finding anything in Vegas has felt like a Lewis and Clark adventure, and this place was no different. Between the maze of casinos, escalators, and neon signs, I was half-expecting to earn a merit badge just for finding the front door. The hostess seemed to be in no particular hurry seating folks, even with plenty of empty tables and no mention of needing reservations. Bless her heart, she must've been on Vegas time. Now, I gotta say -- Pepsi has Vegas on lockdown, and for us southern folks, that's a crying shame. You won't find a Coca-Cola around here without pulling a magic trick. Until then, I'm forced to sip on this sugar-filled flat cola and pretend it's the real thing. Once we got seated, our waitress showed up about three minutes later, and she was as pleasant as a sunny afternoon in May. She walked us through the menu like a pro, steering me right toward the crispy chicken sandwich and fries. And thank the good Lord she did, because that sandwich was downright delicious! Crispy, juicy, and seasoned just right -- I'd inhale that sandwich again without a second thought. The shoestring fries were golden, salty perfection, the kind that make you forget about calories and manners both. The vibe in here felt like sittin' outside on a cool spring day, with a few clouds drifting by and clear blue skies peeking through. The noise level was about what you'd expect for the Paris "outdoor" indoor seating inside a casino -- just enough buzz to feel lively without drowning out your story about losing five bucks to a slot machine. My wife went with the linguine Alfredo with shrimp, and she said it was just average. But between her pasta and my chicken sandwich, we left full and happy -- ready to continue our Vegas adventure, one Pepsi-filled stop at a time.

Yelp
The food is good, however it's a little pricy for what you get. The service is hit or miss. Sometimes you go you get a really friendly and attentive waiter, other times not so much. One of our experience the waiter was friendly and talking to the table next to us, but ignored us, then when he brought the bill without asking if we needed anything else I asked if they give military discount and he scolded me for not telling him before he brought the bill which is funny because after taking our order we didn't interact with him any more They gave great breakfast and lunch dishes the Cuban is really food and they use quality meat. Their French toast is so delicious it's crispy on the outside and pillow soft on inside

Yelp
Arrived at noon my a Monday afternoon, amd waited about 20 or more to be seated. We ordered the following: Fresh Orange juice Fresh Orange & Carrot juice w/Ginger Double smash burger Turkey BLAT While the fresh squeezed orange juice was good, $12 for such a small glass doesn't make it worth it. Especially when the glass of orange juice with carrots and ginger is twice the sz. The turkey BLAT tasted good but the bread ws slightly overcooked. So it was a little hard and overly crispy. It took a while to get our food and just as long to get our bill. We probably waited 15-20 minutes after finishing our food, for it to finally arrive so we could pay and be on our way. Overall: Food wasn't bad, the bread on my BLAT was a little overcooked. My freshly squeezed orange juice I was was a little small for it being $12, especially when the fresh orange, carrot, ginger, Turmeric drinks. Was roughly twice as large and the same price as mine.

Yelp
Smells like cigarette smoke. We got blueberry pancakes, Fruit Platter, smoked salmon, and burrito. The breakfast potatoes were good with the spicy sauce. The watermelon in the fruit platter tasted spoiled. Service - employees were nice. Strangely, the host took a long time to seat us and looked like she was walking around looking for an empty table for our party of three, even though the vast majority of tables were empty.
google avatar

Jimmy Drew R.

Yelp
Such a beautiful vibe. Service was fantastic! We didn't have to wait long for a table because we were diamond members. The food came out fast and fresh. It tasted great. I got the breakfast sandwich. Refills were timely and our server was a very nice man!

Yelp
Beautiful setting, but meh on everything else... Cafe Americano located in the heart of the Paris Hotel and Casino is so cute. Literally feels like you're in a cafe in Paris. The ambiance is fantastic, and the restaurant is clean. But sadly, that's where it ends. Service is slow. Food is ok. My blueberry lemon drop was delicious, but my husband's old fashioned was just alright. Who makes an old fashioned with crushed ice and no luxardo cherry? Right?! We shared a pizza, it was just alright. There are definitely better options for pizza on the strip. It was nothing special, and would not order it again. Heard the breakfast is great though. Maybe next time we stay at the Paris we'll give it a try...
google avatar

Naty G.

Yelp
So this place is just Ok. Definitely, convenient when staying at Paris hotel. The food is meh and for the price I would seriously pass. Go to the other cafe down the hall (the crepe place) that's less fancy but the food is so much better. The service here was average and it's overlooking the casino so if you're sensitive it might be too loud for your liking. Overall, I don't think I would go back.
google avatar

Doug T.

Yelp
Quick review here. I was the only one hungry when we returned to Paris hotel so wanted to grab a quick bite in the Casino. Restaurant seating area located in the middle of the Paris Hotel Casino so plenty of people watching, smoke and noise going on. I have to say the smoke is less here than some other casinos (Luxor...OMG...'cough!") Craving pasta so I ordered the Linguine Alfredo $25 with Chicken $10 add on. 4 Stars for the pasta, pretty good. Cooked al dente enough with a decent alfredo sauce. Just enough sauce unlike other restaurants where the pasta is drowning in sauce. 1 Star for the chicken. For $10 you get 3-4 strips of dry, sinuous, hard to chew, flavorless chicken, probably sitting in a heating pan for hours. Could have gotten a whole "juicy" roasted Chicken from Costco for $4.99.
google avatar

Marcus D.

Yelp
Stopped by for breakfast and oh boy, that tres leches French toast was the bomb. It's like the best churro you'll ever eat in your life with chocolate drizzle, homemade whip cream and delicious syrup. I ordered some other items that were just ok or at expectations but the French toast was the star of the show. I do think they should start from scratch on the yogurt. The toppings are great but the actual yogurt wasn't at all.
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
I would give this a solid 3.75 stars if we were doing decimals. The food wasn't great, but I'd put it on the line between "good" and "okay." I had the caesar salad and the rigatoni alla vodka. Both were on the blander end and could have benefitted from some salt. Still, not bad, the pasta sauce actually had a very nice, remarkably smooth texture, and the Parmesan crisp on the salad is a fun gimmick I enjoyed eating. Since I came here just to kill some time on a layover, it actually all kind of hit the spot. Plain, comforting, and a nice spot to sit and people-watch during an 11:30 pm dinner. Would I come here again? Maybe, maybe not. There's a lot of other food to be eaten in Vegas. But I don't regret it. And, of course, the view was amazing. Nothing like looking up at the bright blue skies of "Paris" at midnight in Nevada.
google avatar

Alison R.

Yelp
Super long wait. Bad service from the waiters and food was meh. Won't be coming back,
google avatar

Randy G.

Yelp
Quick and Fast service early in the morning to grab a latte to go... I've eaten here before as well in the past and it wasn't too bad and food service overall is good. Sitting in the casino area you can people watch and you just enjoy what you want in the Paris Hotel.... A lot of food options and for me I go for the coffee, lattes, etc....

Yelp
Conveniently located within the Paris hotel with a relaxed unassuming vibe. Our waitress, Desiree was fantastic. She was welcoming and friendly. She was detailed oriented, efficient and intuitive to customer needs. I was impressed and appreciative that she addressed my daughter and made sure she was "seen." A simple act that leaves an impression. We mostly ordered appetizers and they were, chicken tenders with fries, quesabirria flautas with beef consommé for dipping and ceviche sliders. The chicken tenders were crispy yet moist and well seasoned as were the fries. The flautas and consommé had good flavor. The consommé however, lacked that deep savory richness. The ceviche was light, bright and well balanced. I also ordered an old fashioned which was surprisingly smoother than expected. We paid $138.72 with tip. Overall, the experience was pleasant, but we thought it was a bit pricey for having only ordered appetizers. Additionally, the food was good, but ordinary.

Yelp
Excellent late breakfast on our full day in Vegas at our hotel - Paris. I love that they have grapefruit juice, not often found in restaurants, to have my 1/2 & 1/2 The Birria and classic benedicts were very tasty. Both serve over a crunchy- soft English muffin and some of the best breakfast potatoes I had in a long time. The birria is served with a tangy chipotle hollandaise sauce. Huge servings, great for sharing. The service was fantastic. There was a long, long wait line and we were blessed with two open seats at the counter so we were seated right away.

Nancy T.

Yelp
Pretty disappointed with this last visit, they have a very limited menu after 11pm (on Saturday night) so we ordered a pepperoni pizza, and chicken strips and fries. Fries were gross, like they had been sitting in their warmer for ever, pizza had really no sauce, it got cold really fast, and then the crust got hard as a rock. Brought it up to our server, 13 minutes later we are still waiting on shoe string fries, speak to the manager who didn't really seam to care. We asked for an additional ranch since the pizza was dry, had to wait to get that. Then I hear a server say to another employee "ugh I'm so tired of these dumb people, I'm just ready to go home!!!" Look I get it, we've all been there, but really, why express yourself or that when you are 10 feet from the tables you are serving. We unfortunately didn't tip, I hate that, but got the bad food and service.
google avatar

Dena M.

Yelp
This place is so cute and the food was delicious. I got the burger and it was so delicious and you can't go wrong with French fries. My friend had the fettuccine Alfredo and it looked so good. I can't wait to go back. We went late at night and the staff was so nice!

Sarah H.

Yelp
Food and service was good. Everyone was rushing but the restaurant was not busy. We both got oatmeal. Very basic. No fruit. Ambiance was great. No cappuccino or lattes. Machine was broke. Lazy management
google avatar

Essie K.

Yelp
Right as we got into town we were overdue for lunch. Luckily we walked by Cafe Americano and got immediately seated. It's a casual diner like restaurant right next the casino in the Paris hotel. It's fun to people watch while you eat. The menu has a mix of classic food options including salads, burgers, sandwiches, and bowls. They even serve breakfast for lunch hours. The food was tasty and filling. I wish the server was more available but she was friendly and nice. Only negative is that the prices are high for the quality of food you get but expected given its location.
google avatar

Keandra P.

Yelp
My colleagues and I ate here a few times while staying at Paris Hotel for a conference. It's an easy dinner style feel, not so old- timey prices, more like Vegas prices. Menu has a good amount of options for an easy palate to appeal to wide audience. Portions are a good size. Try and go during off peak times, to avoid the line that can get lengthy. Service- was pretty good. Breakfast - I got the bagel and lox. This hit the spot for me. Lunch - we got the fish and chips and calamari. Easy enough
google avatar

Başak O.

Yelp
This is where we have our breakfast. Food is good. The good thing the place open 24 hours
google avatar

Lusine Y.

Yelp
we were first time and are impressed. Everything was delicious. It will not be our last time here for sure
google avatar

Tracy M.

Yelp
We had pistachio gelato and raspberry gelato. Very very delicious. We got the smalls and that was enough for us. It was a line, but it went really fast. The ambience is elegant and Frenchie. We would definitely go there again five stars.
google avatar

S H.

Yelp
This place never disappoints. Late dinner at the bar of Linguini Alfredo with Shrimp and a Caesar salad to breakfast of LEO Avocado Toast and Birria Benedict. They have some great cooks. Nice job guys.
google avatar

Ellie N.

Yelp
Conveniently located at Paris and open late near the elevators. You don't earn Caesar points, I been eyeballing the desert and it's been there for quite some time. It was the middle of the case and I dont think anyone bought it since there was 1 slice and it was there all day.I had looking at it each time we walked to the room. Finally ordered the red velvet tower $12. Looks better than the taste. Did not satisfy the craving. They have other options such as gelato that a lot of people where in line for.

Liz R.

Yelp
The male waiter is not pleasant. Always make faces. Maybe he is overwhelmed. Food taste is so so.
google avatar

Marissa M.

Yelp
We wandered over to Cafe Americano after a long day exploring the strip and were just looking for something quick to eat before heading up to our room. For a place that serves 24/7 food, I was impressed with the offerings. I ordered the Turkey Club Chop and was pleasantly surprised with how fresh and flavourful it was! All the ingredients meshed together so well into one tasty salad. I felt rejuvenated after my meal and fully satisfied. My only thing of note was that the staff seemed tired (understandable) and overworked. They were somewhat friendly, but didn't have much time for each table. If we were there for more of an experience this may have affected our dinner more than it did given we were only there for a quick bite. Either way, its a good quick option in the Paris Las Vegas Hotel.
google avatar

Krissy H.

Yelp
Should be 3 1/2 stars it was good not great we had the fish tacos and Caesars salad, service la Les a bit as well
google avatar

Mary e.

Yelp
This cute little restaurant is conveniently inside the paris hotel and is open pretty much all day. I had dinner and breakfast and both meals were very good and the service was great. For dinner I recommend the Baja tacos, a light yet delicious entree that just hits the spot. I also recommend the fish and chips if you need a more substantial meal. Both were delicious. For breakfast I had the burritta Benedict which has tasty shredded beef instead of Canadian bacon. It was the BEST benefit I ever had. Me and hubby split that with a full stack with blueberries. That was one great breakfast. I highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for a good breakfast, lunch or dinner spot on the strip.
google avatar

Keith A.

Yelp
The food and service here are absolutely exceptional. I strongly urge you to experience it for yourself.
google avatar

Lyn S.

Yelp
So, the place is much cleaner than the last time I dined here, but it's still a last choice. The server was in a weird mood and obviously doesn't like his job. The food was ok, but not worth taking home the leftovers. The guy refilling the water was attentive and nice-- the only bit of joy in the place.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
A good place to grab a quick lunch in Paris for an affordable price. I enjoyed my poke bowl and my other coworkers meals were also very generously portioned. However, service was absolutely miserable- difficult to get ahold of with a bad attitude.
google avatar

Joseph M.

Yelp
I came in right after I arrived after my flight and I was really hungry because I haven't had breakfast yet so here I am. I came in and ordered the Birria Benedict and had an iced americano. The egg wasn't runny like I hoped. The dish tasted okay though. However, that may be just because I was really hungry. The service was alright. The staff wasn't mean but I also didn't get a friendly vibe from them either. The service was also a little slow which was surprising because it was a Monday. This restaurant is located in a lively casino hotel known as Paris Las Vegas. Try it if you like. :)
google avatar

Lovey L.

Yelp
This is the breakfast sandwich. Scrambled eggs, bacon & cheese. It was too dry. Service wasn't too attentive. Had to wait a good 10-15 min for napkins, to get my tab or to get their attention. I REALLY wanted ketchup & ended up not getting it and leaving half the sandwich. A fancier Dennys id say.
google avatar

Jay B.

Yelp
The menu was limited at 11:30 pm but we just got there from the airport on a Thursday night. We were hungry. It seemed like there was only one waitress for 10 tables. When she did make it to our table was friendly and accommodating to our needs. We just ordered pizza, fish and chips, calamari, and chicken tenders. Everything is expensive and probably paying for the ambiance being in the middle of the hotel with people walking by. The most expensive fish and chips I've ever paid for a at $35? Personal pepperoni pizza for $22? Chicken tenders for $24? And calamari for $22? Lots of choices here in Vegas. Probably not coming back here.
google avatar

Jordan C.

Yelp
Very tasty food and reasonably priced. Unable to make a reservation but the wait time wasn't horrible for a group of 4. The service was a bit lacking and one of our orders was completely wrong and not corrected. Servers seemed a bit overwhelmed and unable to focus on individual tables. Would've like a bit more variety on the menu and not have felt so rushed but all in all a solid breakfast spot in the heart of the action
google avatar

Christine G.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot. Delicious coffee and be sure to get a croissant! Service was attentive and friendly.
google avatar

Jenn S.

Yelp
Service was not great and they had enough staff. They forgot our small requests for sides of sauce for our breakfast and we just sat there for over ten minutes while our food got cold ? Food was yummy! Cold but we ate it. The ambiance is always great!
google avatar

Abhishek K.

Yelp
Whenever I stay at the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas, I come here for brunch. I love this place and its vibes, especially the pasta--it's so good! The place is absolutely amazing.
google avatar

Jaime E.

Yelp
Good service, very good food. I had the ceviche sliders which is great for a hot day. My date had the garlicky shrimp bowl which was awesome. The Sweet corn with the cilantro rice really gave it an interesting flavor. I'll get that the next time. Fun people watching if you sit "outside".
google avatar

Yvette A.

Yelp
We wanted something in the hotel and sit down. So we were sat right away.. The service however was lacking. Took 10 minutes for someone to come by and another 10 minutes for a soda we ordered. Food came out pretty quick the Cobb salad was good and lettuce fresh. The fries were really hard. Try the other options in the hotel I wouldn't recommend this one.
google avatar

Terry C.

Yelp
$25 per person meal poorly executed. I didn't pick the place and will not return. The beginning of the meal started off oddly and didn't get better as it progressed. First there were no clean tables for more than a party of four. We quickly got some lukewarm ice less water but no refills. Next our waiter was adamant and had an attitude about a certain person had to order first and then go around clockwise even though I was ordering for the entire table and two people were not eating. Our waiter didn't even ask for our drink order and then we found out why, their soda machine was broken and the drink menu was quite limited due to that. When the food came out, the order of the meals requested didn't matter so the attitude was unwarranted. We had to identify who ordered what. Three of the entrees were poorly seasoned. The Cuban sandwich was supposed to have mustard but it was very light and had very little flavor. I put salt and pepper on the sandwich and requested a side of mustard. The salmon entrée not bowl was good so that's one for four. The chicken parmigiana was also bland. The presentation with the hot cheese slipped onto the plate was nice. The shrimp pasta was not great and I couldn't see any shrimp from across the table. The chef who ordered it said it was bad, took a couple bites, pushed it away, and left it to be thrown away.
google avatar

Teresa L.

Yelp
We were a party of 9. They didn't have confirmation of our 10:30 am Sunday reservation, although I had confirmation on my end. They helped us as quickly as they could to accommodate us. We all thought our food was delicious!! Among all of us we ordered tres leches French toast, barbacoa chilaquiles, steak and eggs, birria Benedict, chicken and waffles.
google avatar

Shirley F.

Yelp
Ice cream is delicious. Service is behind the counter. Ambience is small in outdoor cafe in Paris. Really cute little place.
google avatar

Frances L.

Yelp
Solid and very busy brunch restaurant in Paris. Our group of five ladies ordered four plates to share. All the dishes were huge and we had plenty of food. Blueberry pancakes-two large fluffy pancakes with juicy blueberries. Yum! Egg white omelette-great egg white omelette filled with veggies and served with crispy potatoes. Avocado burrata toast-thick sliced toast topped with smashed avocado, burrata cheese and blistered cherry tomatoes drizzled with balsamic and served with an arugula salad. Delicious! Spicy chicken and waffles-two giant pieces of well seasoned crispy boneless chicken served on a waffle. The chicken was tasty, but the waffle was soggy. I enjoyed my breakfast and my bottomless cup of coffee. Our waitress was great. She came by frequently to refill our coffees and water. I'd recommend this restaurant!
google avatar

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
It's good. It's Vegas. It's loud. It's basic. We were seated promptly and our server was very attentive. We decided to share a plate as portions are big. Overall very nice experience.
google avatar

Christine R.

Yelp
We were seated quickly on a Sunday for a family dinner with a party of nine with no reservation. Menu is simple so it's not overwhelming. Food taste great. Place is well lit, music is loud but not to the point that we don't hear each other at our table.

Leonardo P.

Yelp
The service is terrible, way too slow. The customer doesn't matter; they can see you standing there and you have to ask to be served.
google avatar

Doug J.

Yelp
We ordered some appetizers and entrees. I asked for barbecue sauce with the chicken finger appetizer. The barbecue sauce came in a tiny container, smaller than a shot glass. When I asked for additional barbecue sauce, the waitress informed me that the chef said it would be an extra $2. What a joke. The food wasn't good enough to ever go back. I would not recommend this restaurant.
google avatar

Vivian M.

Yelp
Love the ambiance. Being inside the París Hotel, you have the illusions of eating by the streets of París. The service is good. The food is all american food. Nothing special. I ordered the empanadas, it's being served really hot, which i like! My husband ordered the usual salad. As ive said the food is usual but the ambiance.
