Fresh pastries made from scratch and delivered daily by a wonderful chef and staff. Ideal place for working remotely there’s seating indoors and outdoors under beautiful trees; there are charging outlets indoors but not outside. Connected to The Loren Hotel lobby it’s modern and cozy aesthetic; staff was always very friendly and welcoming. They also have a golden hour happy hour, mimosa’s and other specialties are discounted at a certain amount all are great. They also try to practice sustainability with their fresh squeezed juice bottles return you will receive a free coffee or tea.

Stopped into the cafe after visiting a local park to take skyline photos. The two ladies at the counter were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. I had to step away for a moment while my order was being prepared. They graciously agreed to watch my coffee and began coffee cake until I returned. The coffee was hot and smooth. The coffee cake was scrumptious and hit the spot as an afternoon snack. If you are in the neighborhood stop by and grab a cup and a snack!

I have come here a couple of times before and always liked it a lot! Their drinks and pastries are both delicious. However, I came in today, the morning of 5/8, and BOTH of the two women working behind the counter were extremely rude. The woman who took my order could barely be bothered to take it. I waited for about 5-10 minutes while she had a conversation with the other woman, didn’t interrupt, just waited patiently, and she still seemed pissed off that she had to take the time to take my order. When I came to pick up my drink and asked, “London fog for Madeline?” (I didn’t want to take someone else’s by accident) the other woman literally glared at me and said, “that’s a London fog” Like, okay, we’re good. Literally just trying to get my drink without mixing anything up… To be clear, it wasn’t super busy—it was a normal amount of busy, for 8:30 AM on a Thursday. I’m not someone who needs a ton of service, but it was just really unpleasant to deal with these two women. Food is delicious…hopefully it was just an off day or something.

Went here a couple weeks ago while I was on a trip and needed some quick coffee to go. Service was excellent, the sweetest barista named Anna helped me out and her kindness was very much appreciated. The coffee was absolutely delicious, I got a vanilla latte, simple yet so good! I will be going back when I’m back in town!

I was sitting with my husband a few days ago and we carry sustainable cups to get coffee in. The ultra rude female manger comes in and asks the staff in the person sitting there has ordered anything. Lady, this a hotel cafe and people come and go. Ultra rude manager who does know the concept of cafes or hospitality.

Really good cold brew and friendly staff. I do think it’s a bit overpriced but what isn’t in Austin. Outside patio is great for a coffee break in the shadow. Love that it’s close to the trail!

The atmosphere was amazing with great vibe. I reported a bathroom issue and Julie and Simone provide help so the customer service is great here too! Try the Pain Au Chocolate

Next time, if I order a cup of drip coffee with oatmilk, and your out of drip coffee and don’t want to make another pot and we decide to make an americano with oatmilk instead, even though I told you I don’t prefer the taste of espresso, but if that’s all you have okay- next time don’t charge me for a latte, which is double the cost of drip coffee. Be decent and at least charge me for what I ordered even though you didn’t want to put in the effort to make it for me. Bad customer service

Yelp
This cafe is conveniently located right off the trails in downtown Austin. A very modern laidback vibe to the cafe with plenty of outdoor patio seating. I got an oat milk latte and a croissant. They have a very limited amount of pastry and food options. The coffee was delicious and service was friendly and fast.

Yelp
Sleek modern cafe by the trail. It is convenient to have a coffee shop with drinks and snacks along the trail to grab some water or treats when I get hungry running or walking. I had a decaf latte that was quite tasty, the barista made it look so pretty. Cafe was pretty quiet granted its the end of the day when I visited. There is good amount of lighting, and not super loud or anything. I'd def come back.

Yelp
A cozy hotel cafe with great coffee options and pastries. I tried a few pastry options and the croissants were pretty great and flaky but the limited pastries supposedly from a New York bakery, were not even close to being ok (super dry and old tasting) but we dont have to worry about them because they are temporarily offered. The one star being taken off is for weird interactions I've had a few times with baristas. One being told they wont serve us coffee when we got there 15 minutes before an early event closing time, once for rolling eyes on a large order, and not getting our coffee orders right a couple of times. I'll definitely be back again and again, i just rather not have awkward interactions :) Highly recommend!

Yelp
Aesthetic and slightly austere, dog-friendly cafe right by Town Lake/Lady Bird Lake, connected to the Loren hotel. The espresso was really good! They have the usual breakfast grab and go and did a Milk Bar sort of residency over December. I went at the beginning of January and they still had Milk Bar pie and cookies and some Milk Bar merch for sale. It's purely a coffee shop, so it's not a place to get a real meal. I'll forever think of this location as Taco Cabana but that's the curse of having been around Austin this long.

Yelp
Food - We tried Milk Bar cakes from the December collaboration & they were delicious. The London Fog latte was tasty. The chai was bland and could've used more spices. Service - Staff was helpful, quick, and friendly! Ambiance - There was a band playing jazz music in the hotel and the cafe was overall quiet. There was lots of seating options and lots of sunlight. Also, we parked near the park during the free parking time. Parking is hard to find though.

Yelp
The service at Cafe at the Loren is wonderful. Even with a long line, they handled the morning rush quickly, kindly, and efficiently. I tried the sausage roll and my friend had the chive biscuit. The roll was savory and filling, but a little soggy. The chive biscuit was amazing aside from the very center which was slightly undercooked. The coffee is not good. They're using La Colombe beans which always taste so bitter. It isn't the barista's fault. I wish they'd found a local roaster to partner with instead. The setting and ambiance is the star of the show though. It feels like a tree house with the lush trees all around. They've done a stellar job with insulating the cafe to keep the sound from resonating off of all the hard surfaces.

Yelp
Well located cafe right off the trail. I love the Furniture and aesthetic. The food offerings are fairly good too. The egg sandwich was good as was the chocolate raspberry cookie. The problem I have with this place is that I've been here around 8X, as I live close by, and without fail, every single interaction with the baristas has been negative. As many other reviewers have said, they are not friendly (have interacted with 3 different people) and they act like being there and taking your order is a chore and a bother. I really wish they could fix the staff issue, because this place could be really great. Also, I've noticed that even if I select to tip under $1 it still charges me at least $1 in tip and overrides what I entered. If I'm buying a bottle of water, I'm not tipping , so this is concerning to me and seems dishonest.

Yelp
The young ladies behind counter lack customer service training and people skills. They consistently have a "couldn't be bothered attitude" and it's unnecessary. I do not like to feel like I am in the wrong for walking in the door and ordering a cup of coffee. I've come in different times of the day and the attitude is the same especially one of them unless you happen to be a young guy. Unpleasant and unimpressed. I do not believe the customer is always right but I also do not believe they are always wrong and unwelcome.

Yelp
Our family stopped by after a long walk, and entered a beautiful café, open spaces, great service. We had delicious whole milk and oat based latte, and we also had cookies. Great cookies! Our favorite was oatmeal, banana pecan cookie, a real treat!

Yelp
Love this sweet gem of a coffee house. So nice to find this spot along the trail. Nice selection of coffee and pastries with some healthier options, as well. Most of the staff is very friendly. They're also open for a happy hour time until 7 pm with a choice of red or white wine.

Yelp
I got an iced latte with caramel syrup and it was so good!! Definitely recommend getting a coffee before walking lady bird trail which is in close proximity!!

Yelp
almost $7 dollars for very low quality cold brew. I think it was a 12 oz. Many better spots nearby.

Yelp
The coffee is good and the location is convenient which is always a plus for a coffee spot. However, every time I've gone which at one point was 2-3 times a week the staff seems a bit unfriendly as if they really don't want to be there. But if you don't care so much about service and want a quick coffee by town lake it's worth grabbing one here

Yelp
The tacos are meh. Which if they were normal sized would be fine. But this is the smallest taco I've ever seen! I did like the salsa. The people working there are nice. And they gave out free coffee on the pedestrian bridge. But the food and coffee in the shop leave a lot to be desired.

Yelp
It was pretty mediocre. They didn't have a functioning expresso machine but then they told the group after us that they didn't have coffee beans so kinda seemed to just be making it up as they went but luckily I only wanted a London fog that was whipped up and was fine

Yelp
I love this spot. Great matcha lattes and the decor is so beautiful. The space is pretty big and you can get work done here.

Yelp
Beautiful place, great service, bad coffee. I'm OK paying top dollar for a good cappuccino, I frequent just about every shop in town and this is a town with some of the best, BUT this was so disappointing, the foam was wrong, the coffee itself tasted burnt and sour, and there was way too much milk! I hope they read their reviews and train their staff on how to make a proper cap, it's a beautiful location, easy to stop in off the green belt and I'd love to frequent here on my walks as there aren't many non Starbucks options nearby. Drop me a line when you fix the coffee and I'll gladly pull the review. The staff were super nice and friendly, I would have asked them to remake it, but I'm certain they did not really know how. Take them to Medici or Flat Track.
