Cafe Auburndale

Cute little cafe. Most of the consumers there were working on their laptops or studying … I think. The atmosphere is very inviting. Staff is nice and friendly. There is an outdoor seating area in the back but I did not sit out there. It would be nice for a non-breezy spring or summer day. I didn’t get a chance to try the shaved ice as it was too much for me but I did order an Oreo soft serve, which was quite delicious. The little brownie bites with the ice cream were delectable. It provided some texture to the whole dessert. I also ordered a lava cake and chocolate crunch cake to go. Haven’t tried it yet, but will be back to share my piece about it. I would revisit if I had someone to share the shaved ice with. Pricewise, it is on the pricey side but the serving size amounts to the price charged.

The ceiling is high, so it feels cool, and the young vibe is really nice. Plus, the coffee tasted really great and the staff was friendly. I saved it as a cafe I want to come back to.

A well lit modern cafe with a lot of attention to its interior design, tons of built-in and custom furniture. Food and coffee are good, it's a bit pricey for everyday visit. If you do come, must try their waffle.

The interior is very pretty and comfortable as evident in the video, which is a great place to just chill or get work done! The barista was very friendly, but the service was a bit slow. I asked if she could put the ice last after pouring the espresso into the milk and she was able to accommodate, which I appreciated! But since it took a while, I guess she must've forgotten, since she still poured in the ice before the espresso, which melted some of the ice and diluted the intensity of the coffee. Cafe Auburndale definitely has potential and I hope they continue to improve in the future! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

Soooooo good. A little pricey but definitely worth it. The strawberry bingsoo and matcha soft serve are my favorite.

This is a fun, cute, clean, surprisingly spacious cafe. They have special drinks and desserts posted near the cashier. The einspanner is great 9/10. Thick foam on top of coffee. It's less sweet than other cafes which I like. The mango bingsoo is real shaved ice, super soft, with mango syrup, sweet fresh mango, and ice cream on top. It's enough for two people. 8/10. Eat it in the cafe, don't do delivery. The matcha injeolmi cream latte is coffee with matcha flavor and some soy bean flavor. It is creamy, nutty, with hints of green tea flavor. 8/10. It will last until the next day in the fridge. There is a lot of seating in this place and there is an extra outdoor area at the back.

The desserts (from the two I’ve tried so far) are tasty and super generous. I also like that they offer non-basic flavors. Can’t say too much about the service because it’s one of those cafes where you order and you pick up and sit down yourself, which is totally my vibe because it means I have to talk less. The one thing that doesn’t sit well with me is the loudness. The ice machine is quite loud, so the people in the place talk louder over that and, overall, it be loud. But you can fix that with some noice cancelling earphones. All good :3

A super cute, spacious, and unique cafe to visit and enjoy with friends and family or even to just go to study, the service was super nice and friendly. The dessert and drink was yummy and just the right amount of sweetness. I recommend this place if you are in Queens!! 💯🥰🫶

The strawberry bingsoo here was super delicious! It was one of the best I have eaten in NYC so far (much better than KTown's Gracestreet). It was so refreshing w/ the right amount of sweetness. The strawberries were so fresh and not sour which was great! Loved the scoop of vanilla ice cream on the top! Cute decor & the place had tons of tables and chairs.

I've been meaning to come here for a while so after having lunch nearby with my friend's family, we headed over to Cafe Auburndale. Boyyyyy, dessert did not disappoint! The prices are a bit steeper but totally worth what you buy! The mango bingsoo was HUGE - milky shaved ice with large ripe chunks of mango, a hefty scoop of ice cream & condensed milk drizzle. And the cups of soft serves are deceiving - there was so much ice cream! Here to satisfy a sweet tooth craving? 100% worth your while!

One of my favorite places to visit once the weather starts getting hot. They have indoor and outdoor seating which perfectly strong AC and good music to beat the heat. They have a range of caffeinated and caffeinated drinks for those that want a quick pick me up, but their desserts are where the cafe really shines! Our favorite things to get here are their croffles as well as their ice creams and bingsoo! It does get pretty busy when it's hot but it's the perfect place to cool off with friends! Their desserts might be a hit or miss. One time when I visited and tried the Rainbow Waffle, the ice cream was already melting a lot when the order came out, and the waffle itself wasn't even warm (their fridge might have been not properly running that day). I had a bite of their croffle, and it seemed pretty undercooked, almost like a mochi waffle. It was a bit too heavy for me too. Their bingsoo is just okay too. It did melt pretty quickly compared to the bingsoo I tried at Cocohodo, probably because Cafe Auburndale puts their bingsoo in ceramic and not metal bowls. Their green tea bingsoo looked good, but to me, the textures and flavors didn't blend well and seemed pretty random. Their shaved ice had a chalky texture too initially. The desserts here aren't bad, but I think there might be better places. I wouldn't come here for their bingsoo just because it did melt fairly quickly.

Was surprised to find a cafe open til so late! But this cafe has great lighting and ample seating - perfect for that late night treat before calling it a night. The croffle was chewy and the warmth of the croffle paired nicely with the cold strawberry ice cream.

Boy and I always come here for that refreshing mango or matcha bingsoo. One thing for sure is that their portion size is quite generous, one bowl is good for two. They make it light and sweet, creamy on the bottom. The only downside is that if the line is long, you may have to wait for some time. There is a good amount of seating space as well.

An aesthetic Korean-styled cafe tucked away in Auburndale, Flushing, with free wifi, ample seating, clean restroom, and a wide assortment of drinks and desserts. I have yet to try their desserts, but their coffee is decent and their lattes are especially delicious. Highly recommend the strawberry, chai, or matcha! 7/10 good for studying or getting work done. I'm not gonna lie: the wifi although free, kinda sucks. I've had pages fail to load or load very slowly, and it only gets worse when the cafe is crowded.

Very pack on a Sunday. Service was nice. Ordered a lava cake but it didn't not really have the lava effect. A bit disappointed to be honest. Cake tasted fine.

This is probably one of the best bingsoo's I've had in NYC. The matcha was super creamy and a great portion to share! We shared it between 2 people but I think 3 would be perfect since we had leftovers. We subbed the red bean for some chopped up Oreos, which was super yum. When we visited, the place was pretty busy, but the bingsoo was ready relatively quick. The cafe was clean and had a lot of seating available. The only con was the staff being standoffish, and somewhat clueless when asking questions, but it's not a big deal since the interaction is brief. Overall, I'll be back again!

Another cute cafe to spend your afternoon at doing work. We got the mango bingsoo, matcha Oreo croffle, and rose hibiscus tea. The bingsoo was rather expensive and the mangos when I went weren't good. I would definitely get another flavor if I went again. The croffle was good. The drink was okay, definitely not their best drink.

This is such a cute and chill spot with ample seating inside and outside - great for a date or to study! The backyard patio is a hidden gem on Northern Boulevard! Upon the suggestion of the cashier, I tried the milk bingsoo. It was so refreshing - a unique blend of textures between the snow-like ice, the chewy mochi, the thick red bean paste, and the crunch of slivered almonds. I look forward to coming back in the summer and trying more treats!

Overdue for a review. I've been to Cafe Auburndale about 4 times now and adore this cafe. During the day time, it's a quiet space where you can get some work done. There are outlets, hooks for coats, and plenty of space. The prices are very fair. I've had their coffee, lates, and baked goods. They were pretty standard. However the bingsoo is what you need to get. Definitely something that needs to be split. It's creamy. The amount sweetness isn't overbearing so you can keep digging in. My favorites have been the strawberry and mango ones. The fruits offer a nice refreshing taste to balance out the sweet.

The ice cream on top goes so well with the warm croffle. The ambiance is cozy, in warmer weather they have outdoor seating! There's plenty of plugs if you need to study/work. The service is great. A definite must-visit for anyone craving desserts and a chill atmosphere. Can't wait to come back for more!

Ordered the Cookie Butter Croffle, the priciest one and came out really low quality and low value. It didn't have the same size and missing a cookie. I didn't realize it was missing a cookie until after I ate it. The croffle was under cooked and not have enough toast. The ice cream was too small and not the same size as the menu or official pics and just not dressed up enough. So it was underwhelming.

Came here an hour before closing and it was pretty packed on a Friday night. A lot of younger folks, pregame hangout? The matcha Oreo Croffle is real good when it's fresh. Have to eat it quick, it's soggy after 5 mins because of the ice cream on top of it. The matcha bingsoo is also really good and refreshing. I love the mochi nuggets that came with it. The red bean paste between the matcha ice cream and ice shaving is thick and too sweet for me. We came after dinner and 3 of us shared this. Bingsoo is pretty big. Bathroom is clean. Nice and bright inside.

Whenever I go it's during rush hour so service tends to be on the slower side. I love all the products they sell here, especially the mango bingsoo--so refreshing and not too sweet. Also their soft serve is very creamy and I recommend. Interior is nice and overall vibe is positive!

pleasantly surprised by their bingsu. the mochi was so FRESH (chewy, soft) and the dish was SO aesthetic. saw a lot of people studying at this cafe so i'd say it's perfect for a work from home or study day! large interior, lots of seating.

came back to study more. we got the: -expresso -white chocolate mocha -hot chocolate -cookie butter croffle (my fav) the hot chocolate and white chocolate mocha were okay. i like to try different items everytime i go. stick with the white chocolate and latte but overall still one of my favorite spots.

Cafe Auburndale is a very cute cafe. I don't particularly like their coffees as they tend to be more fruity and sour. Their soft serve and bingsoos are good, though. I usually get the soft serve affrogato. The service is a little slow, but they give you a buzzer. There are a lot of tables and booths, but this place is always popping. It's never a long wait to get a table as the turnaround is quick.

This is a popular cafe and dessert spot on Northern Blvd that I had been going to every so often. It is located in the Flushing/Auberndale area (parking along the main road is available and on the residential side streets). When you pass by this establishment you will actually notice it right away as it is bright lights with a white interior. The aesthetic and overall chill vibe makes this a nice place to relax. There is seating availability varies depending on when you go (prime time hours have a lot of foot traffic which is to be expected). The back area offers a bit more privacy and it also good for groups. The variety of desserts they offer is enough to sate anyone's sweet tooth. The bingsu (Korean shaved ice) menu is what they are most known for. Popular flavors include matcha, mango, strawberry and oreo. The other desserts that I liked during my visits included the dragonfruit acai bowl, tiramisu waffle and the dalgona (made famous by Squid games but a very well known treat among Koreans) softserve and the berry croiffle. Each order of ice is big enough to share among a few people (as you can see by the photo I provided) and each one is made to order using fresh fruits. The acai bowls have a bunch of toppings you can choose from including banana, kiwi strawberry, chia seeds, granola, almond flakes, coconut flakes and honey drizzle. As you can see it is quite customizable. The waffle is large size that is Each dessert they offer is portioned enough for sharing (or enough for a solo person who loves desserts). But it is a lot of dessert even for one person (I speak from experience!) The soft serve is quite tasty but tends to melt rather quickly. So take any photos you need and indulge. The croffle (hybrid of croissant and waffle) made a splash in NYC and I was glad to see they offered it here as well for one of he dessert options. The berry one was topped with mixed berries, condensed milk, whip cream and strawberry ice cream. The other flavors they offer include cookie butter, matcha oreo and a plain one (almonds, maple syrup, vanilla ice cream). The employees that were working during my visits have all been polite and diligent. They take your order but are usually always busy. Do not expect too much small talk or chit chat which is common for places that are busy with customers. Sometimes I feel bad ordering the shaved ice because there is usually one person doing the desserts but she is very good at what she does. When you make your order, you are given a pager (buzzer or beeper) that alerts you when your order is ready. You then go and pick up your prepared order (there is no table service here). Since this is a cafe, they of course offer a very nice variety of drinks. The coffees include popular ones like esspresso, lattes, cold brews, americano and flavored lattes. Non coffee offerings include chai, chocolate, matcha and white chocolate (some have both cold and hot versions which will be indicated on the menu). There are seasonal specials that tend to change so check them out if you feel adventurous. The teas can also be hot and cold for certain flavors, Some refreshing cold drinks include lemonades (strawberry, lavender and matcha) as well as lime, fresh orange and grapefruit flavors. The strawberry smoothie is always good. The signature drinks include Purple Rain, Hawaiian latte and a Golden latte. As you can see by now if you came for a beverage you would certainly be well hydrated. Cafe Auburndale is a very nice spot to visit if you need to get some work done or catch up with friends or if you wanted to spend time with someone. Prices seem on par with similar dessert places in Flushing so make sure you budget for your visit and please tip accordingly.

Super cute and clean place! Their bingsoo is to die for. It's so fluffy and had just the right amount of matcha flavor. Plus, they pack on the toppings so there's enough to go around. Ambiance is wonderful. Perfect for a study date or a break from the heat. It's decorated beautifully so it's also a perfect photo op. If you're in the area and want something sweet, stop by!

The weather has been too cold lately so it's not bingsoo season yet, but their waffles are a good alternative. So far my favorite has been the tiramisu waffle, the amount of toppings depends on who's making it---sometimes you may get more or less. The size of the waffle is big enough to share, and the waffle batter is flavorful and smells amazing. Something about a warm waffle topped with ice cream and other sweet toppings really hits the spot for me. So yes, the waffle has been my go to order for every visit thus far. In all honesty I think their waffle tastes better than waffle n sip. There's also cafe bench across the way that offers crepes but sometimes you just want to indulge in a nice waffle now and then. They also offer molten lava cakes and Croffles~ Their coffee selection is solid, I tried their signature drink Purple Rain which is an iced latte with lavender. Aesthetic wise, it's simplistic and minimalistic. The overall place is very bright. The cafe is quite busy throughout the day so seats can be hard to find sometimes, I do prefer evenings since it's a bit quieter. Overall a very popular place for students to study and grab a coffee. Service wise is also decent. Just need to watch out during their later hours. Once I came about 2 hours before their closing time and the staff said they weren't taking additional customers. They recently updated their website to match the menu at the cafe, so if you want to order ahead or see what else they offer I definitely recommend it.

A great wfh place in the area! They recently added back their free wifi and this place has a lot of tables, outlets, and a bathroom. The portion sizes are pretty big for each dish, so it is recommended that you shared with another person or two for these! The music can get a bit loud here, as well as the waves of crowds that come throughout the day and night, so put that into consideration if you're trying to come here to get work done. Other than that, it is a great, spacious place to go with friends as there are multiple tables and lots of seating. Interior decoration is pretty modern and clean too!

I always get the matcha bingsoo and it never disappoints. I always eat with my family because I could never finish one by myself! It's so good and definitely satisfies my matcha craving.

One of my favorite dessert places in queens!! The matcha bingoo hits every time and their drinks are solid. We tried the yuzu lemonade, matcha latte, and grape slush this time -all delicious and the lemonade and slush were very refreshing. The lava cake was good, a huge portion with generous amount of ice cream. Love that this place opens late too, we came as a group around 10pm Saturday and managed to get a table even though the shop was fairly crowded. The interior and decor was so pretty too! Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to grab dessert in the area :)

Ordered the very berry croffle- basically a hybrid of a croissant and waffle. Tasted pretty good, but it took a long time to make. This is a self service kind of place where you get a buzzer and find your own seating. They have lots of space in the back as well as a cool patio. There is definitely a coffee shop vibe, with lots of power outlets for people to charge their phone or laptop to do work or study.

My favorite cafe in Bayside. Their desserts are yummy and the vibe is super chill. Great place to stop by and hang out with a group of friends or just to grab a quick coffee or your drink of choice. They have an awesome selection of desserts and they have bingsu!! I ordered their Oreo soft serve recently and devoured this in record time! The brownie bits they put on top really gave the ice cream extra texture and flavor! 10/10!

My bingsoo experience just isn't it this year. For desserts, I had to pay this place a visit, after having it sitting in my bookmark collections for a long while. The inside was cold! I don't know how people are able to casually work on their laptops here for long hours. The service was ok. I appreciate them for giving me free water when I asked, but the ladies didn't greet us even when I came up to the counter. There were a ton of workers up there too. The Matcha Bingsoo ($18.50) is so expensive for what it was. It looked like it would be good from the presentation. And at my first bite, I had thought so too. But once you avoid the red bean masking most of the taste and go for the matcha shaved ice, the flavor was just sweetness. I don't taste any matcha flavor, and the shaved ice, which was all mushed into an unappetizing consistency, melted super quickly. Not even a minute in, and we were picking at soup. Biggest waste of money spent here. I guess I appreciate the $18.50 cup of water.

Modern cafe vibes with desserts and drinks! Our group got the oreo soft serve, the plain waffle, a hot Chai latte, a iced matcha latte, and an iced mocha. There are options to get different milks with your drink like almond and oat milk. Got our food and drinks pretty quickly and they were all pretty good

I recently tried the matcha bingsu from here and it is SO GOOD. I loved that the matcha flavor was very apparent and it complemented well with the read bean, mochi pieces and the matcha ice cream. Also the portion size is huge!! We were able to share it between 3 people. The service was very quick as well, we got our food within a few minutes. Lastly, this place is also quite aesthetic, giving that classic dessert store vibe. Would recommend!!

Hmmm... what is dessert for tonight? Off we go to this cute cafe. My first experience with Korean Bingsu was phenomenal. Crossing my fingers off that the experience here will surpass. The serving is huge when I am seeing the order size that's being picked up. I told my husband that I am willing just to share with him and try partially what my niece will get. We ordered strawberry and matcha flavors. Amazing how this machine shred the ice as fine as it looks. It took about 5 minutes when our "order ready" indicator device lighted up. Am I satisfied? Yes but the excitement was not the same as in my first try. Is it the flavor we picked? Probably. It is as not as sweet as I had before. Enjoyed the mochi that is in the bowl. I actually finished most of it. Super like the ambiance of the place. Super white. Super clean. Super neat. Super cool.

Came here on a Monday night with a friend and it was PACKED. I did not expect it to be that packed. We both ordered soft serve - I ordered the dalgona and she ordered the matcha. Both were good, but the dalgona chunks were GIANT. After eating so many dalgona chunks I sadly could barely eat the soft serve! This is also likely a soft serve that would be shareable with 2 people. I wanted to try this place again so I decided to venture out with my family over the weekend. Before going, I called to ask if the ice cream had eggs in it as my child has an allergy. The phone call wasn't great, and I wish the person had been more friendly on the phone. It was enough to raise a red flag so I asked about it while there in person over the weekend. The person at the counter went and checked the ingredient list and confirmed that it didn't have egg. Feeling reassured, we ordered the strawberry bingsoo and it was giant. My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 small children) finished it, but it definitely took some effort. The outdoor patio in the back is great and comfortable. We definitely got bit while being back there, but they do have bug zappers in an effort to not get bit by as many. I would definitely go back.

Very aesthetic café. It's really spacious too and has an outdoor space in the back. Classic café food/ desserts with bingsu that is a decent portion size, definitely enough for 3 people. Unique drinks that are colorful. Prices are not the most ideal, but expected for this type of café.

My friend and I got here around 8:15 on a Monday, and the place was honestly packed! And we were bringin' up the average age by far, haha. We felt very hip. The menu is actually on the smaller side, but you'll find something sweet to satisfy you. The bingsoo, while looking awesome, seemed actually quite large. And I'm not sure I could stomach the price. So instead, we got soft serve for just under $10 each. Ok, also seems expensive, but they were huge! The matcha soft serve was a delight and very refreshing. Don't forget to check out the seating outside in the back. There's actually a ton more seating in their cute garden in the back. They definitely seemed a bit overwhelmed at this hour. We had to wait a bit to order, and the two gals at the counter were rushing to catch up on orders. The space was rather clean given the crowd that stayed pretty consistent the rest of the time we were there.

Very cute place, perfect to bring your laptop and get some work done, but I wasn't too impressed. I took my little sister here and we were both excited to try the matcha bingsoo. I'm not going to lie, it was a bit pricey. Don't get me wrong, it's great for sharing but it's also just ice cream and it wasn't as matcha flavored as I was expecting it to be. The red bean paste was probably one of the best parts of it. I just don't think it's worth $18. Onto another item that was a let down.. the strawberry latte. It's a no from my sister and I. I'm sorry to say, but it was just so bad. I'm not sure what they were aiming for with this one but it's simply just milk and very sweet strawberry purée. I ordered a cappuccino and it was okay, I've definitely had better.

Very cute cafe and often quite busy. I'm a fan of the shaved ice because they put enough sweet cream in the ice and the combo of the ice cream and ice is a good balance.

Bright ambiance. Huge menu including bingsoo, coffee, tea, croffles and more. Fast service. Lots of seating. This would be a great place to study at. They have lots of outlets and even wall hooks for jackets. We got the cookie butter croffle, mango bingsoo, and rose flower tea which were all amazing. Croffle was warm and crispy and paired so well with the cookie butter and vanilla icecream. The bingsoo was milky, fluffy, and fruity. The rose flower tea was refreshing with a perfect sweetness. One of my favorite cafe finds. Would love to come back soon!

Super cute spot with delicious goodies. The aesthetic is very sleek and modern. The lighting is amazing. Even when we went at night, it was super bright. Tons of sweet treats are in the display case, and while and they have a nice drink menu as well. I asked for a decaf tea and amazingly they have a whole list of their teas with a chart that shows which teas have caffeine and which ones don't. Jumping ahead, I ordered a mint iced tea to go and it was perfect for ending the day and after a heavy meal. With friends, we decided to order a few things to split. The Mango Bingsoo (sooooooo delicious) the Very Berry Croffle, and some Dalgona soft serve. Each dessert was just as good as the next. The croffle was surprisingly warm underneath the whipped cream and ice cream. They also have a pager system which I think is super cool as well! Will definitely head back over soon. It would be a great place to work out of!

Got Matcha bingsu, matcha latte and hazelnut latte. The Matcha items are one of the best I've had so far. Service was quick no complaints. Location was well made. Space is pretty aesthetically pleasing and looks like a good location. Parking is alittle tough tho that's the only issue. Price point in the higher side of these items in terms of flushing but not that far out. Overall 4.7/5.0 star experience Tip: get there at 6:55 and you can park in front, 7:00 they allow parking in front of cafe

A Korean dessert/cafe place with good lighting! Their bingsoo is not bad, large portion - great to share with friends. Would be difficult to find seating during busy hours ( many people stay there for studying), especially large groups.

When there for dessert going by reviews, we ordered the very berry croffle by the menu picture. When finally got dessert it did' by look like the menu photo. Look like a half waffle with little blueberry and strawberry and whip cream, and a soup of strawberry ice cream. The place closes at 11:00 p.m., we got there at 10:15 p.m., look like it was rush in making the dessert cause it was near closing time. Everything look like it soup not ice cream and whip cream.

Very solid choice if you need a pick me up. The inside is bright and always very clean. The service is quick and efficient but most importantly very polite. The food is also great and it's perfect if you need a quick bite on the go with your coffee.

Amazing Bingsoo... mango really taste like sweet ripen mango and not that disgusting artificial stuff i hate sooo much... the ice is very fluffy... jst a tad of advice... mix the snow and the layer of mango puree in the middle to make it more mongo flavor all over... hut seriously gooo and get some

Mango bingsoo was too sweet. I hope it wasn't canned mango. I would prob get something else cus it was too sweet They have lots of cool drinks. I would def get a drink instead Service is okay. Interior is cute. I don't see them clean the tables as often as I'd like. While I was there for about 30 mins I didn't see anyone wipe down the tables

Food- 4/5 The shaved ice definitely hits the spots when you go after dinner. Definitely give the mango one a try, I loved the taste of it. The mango pieces definitely were a bit sour, but the ice cream itself melts in your mouth really nicely. It will definitely leave you craving more. Service- 4/5 You will get a buzzer for when your order is ready. Definitely not a crazy extravagant spot, but it is what you make of it. I went with friends and thankfully it did not take long to get our order. Ambiance- 4/5 Chill hang out spot with all your friends. Nice and loud so you don't ever feel awkward in there. You could definitely come alone too. I could see this being very popular with teens.

Idk why but from the outside I thought it was a hair salon every time I walked past. Anyway, I heard a lot of good things about Cafe Auburndale especially their bingsoo/shaved ice. My friend and I decided to go here for dessert. We got the mango bingsoo and chocolate lava cake. I enjoyed the bingsoo a lot more than the lava cake. The cake itself was okay but it was a little dense for my own taste and the lava part was more poured on top of the cake rather than it oozing out from inside. The bingsoo was soft fluffy and refreshing! The service was nice even though they were so busy. They were still friendly and efficient. The space was bright and spacious. We will come back again definitely

Great place to share a large shaved ice with friends. Lots of seating and people hanging out. Would come again.
