The Best New Cafés in Montreal (Spring 2020) | Eater Montreal

"While Café Barista has made a name as a local roastery for the last 16 years, it has stayed out of the coffee shop game — until now. Serving its own roasts (obviously), it’s a welcome addition to the Garment District, a relative wasteland for good coffee (with the notable exception of Café Gentile)." - Tim Forster

Great coffee.unfortunately they only have sweet chai and it prefer spicier and less/no sweetness. Even better if it was homemade. The vibe here is also really nice - feels cozy.they sell alot of coffee machines as well. I just wish they had better working apace. They only have three high tops and then a sofa and a other spot for sitting and I didn't see any places to charge. They do have wifi though as well as outdoor seating...but lots of ants. I do recommend grabbing a cup and then going to greendesk across the street.

Went here for the first time for the Barista Fest ! And it was great. Nice team, nice latte, and the event itself was super interesting. I love coffee gear and stuff & got a hoodie and tote bag. :)

Happy accident we ended up here. We missed out turn and went in their parkinglot to turn around — best mistake of the trip. We went in to get a coffee and a snack. Ended up taking a bunch of pastries on the road with us.

I had an amazing experience at Barista Coffee Shop! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The coffee is outstanding—rich, flavorful, and perfectly brewed. The staff are skilled and friendly, always ready with great recommendations and a warm smile. This has quickly become my go-to spot for a fantastic coffee experience. Highly recommend!

Only did online shopping for now, but my order came very quickly. The tasting boxes are a great idea to discover their coffees, and make for an amazing gift. They offer whole beans and ground, plus some varieties come in Nepresso compatible pods. The other good and merch are cool too. I just wished there were more dark roast options though, as I prefer very deep and bold coffees ...

First time going to Barista and it was to try their coffee. Extremely impressed. They have an excellent roast on their beans which makes their coffee amazing. Would highly recommend. Also took the time to walk around and look at their machines. I would consider returning to shop for a machine here if i need one.

I can't comment on the coffee gear shop or on the wholesale beans business, but what's surprising is that for how much they sell and how reputed they are in the business, the location on Louvain (after 6 months of working at an office nearby) has messed up every single one of my espresso orders. Too cold, crema non-existant or too thin, or my allonge gets watered down with "boiling" water from the machine that's actually just...barely hot.

Awesome coffee! Friendly staff, fast service. I had some questions and got a clear explanation. Recommended.

Yelp
I love this place! Not only do they have extremely awesome decor for the coffee shop, but the coffee is fantastic and the baristas are awesome. I went to their opening and the place was stunning! I would highly recommend visiting here for some awesome coffee and fun chats with the baristas. We were able to try their latte and it was so good! I recently ordered online from their website and everything was perfect and came to my apartment very quickly. Our favourite coffee is their best seller, Crémone, but they have a huge selection that I'm excited to try. Their online presence is also fantastic! They sometimes have discounts on their Instagram page so make sure you follow them.

Yelp
I love this place. While it's super far for me and a good 20mins walk from Cremazie metro, tonight was my second visit to Barista Mtl. I love the look & feels of this place, and the Barista team is awesome. Alex's passion for coffee inspired me the first time I met him and tonight was no exception. I literally bought a coffee bean grinder to be able to use the beans I was given last time - and I have not looked back since then. Excited to grind my new bag of coffee!! Sincerely, a coffee addict.

Yelp
For years I appreciated the delicious yet unpretentious flavour of barista beans at my local coffee shop. A few years ago I was in a pinch for coffee and our regular spot offered to sell me some of their barista beans. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they worked in the French press but I wasn't totally converted. Fast forward a couple years and I was clued into Barista's free delivery service: I started exploring the variety of beans and was really impressed with the prices. After trying a few of the offerings we've found the Gran Barista to be the tastiest and most versatile bean for our purposes (percolator, pour over, French press). The Gran Barista for me brings in the best of classic Italian espresso roasts while maintaining the integrity of the bean. We're now all Barista beans in the house (with the exception of a bit of lavazza or fancy third wave once in a while for posterity). I'm particularly stoked with their free bike delivery service and the great customer service but honestly, the big love goes back to the awesome product.

Yelp
I discovered this place by going to a yelp event and just loved it. So I went back to get more coffee bags! They make a few varieties and I've tried six so far. My favorite are Cremone and Autentico. This is not a coffee shop where you sit down and sip on your cup of coffee. It's a warehouse where they make the coffee. They do sell bags at this location, however, the best way is to order them online.

Yelp
Tucked way out of the way up near Chabanel is a strangely chic combo pack space where coffee is carefully, lovingly roasted for many of the best cafes in Quebec. Barista makes unique blends for just one cafe or restaurant in a neighborhood in order to protect and maintain their relationships, they are self-professed coffee obsessives and oh yeah they also do PR and make a web tv show and are generally passionate, quirky and uplifting.
