The men who were taking the order and serving it, I would personally say that they were too kind and perfect gentlemen. They have mastered the customer service industry. Every customer in this cafe was pleased talking to them. And coming to the coffee I would rate top star and the chocolate burfi is what I would call it was too good. I will surely visit again if I come back to Montreal.

Whenever I visit my friend Stacy , one of our must-visit spots is always Baristello. Located near Jarry Metro, this cozy café has become our little tradition. It’s the perfect place to relax, grab a delicious coffee, and, recently, enjoy a tasty sandwich. But what has me especially excited for the warmer weather is the potential addition of affogato to the menu this summer—talk about a treat! Ambiance: Baristello’s vibe is the first thing that pulls you in. The space is light, airy, and effortlessly cozy. With its modern minimalist design and wooden accents, it feels both fresh and comfortable. The natural light streaming in through the large windows gives the café an inviting, relaxed atmosphere, whether you’re there to catch up with friends or just enjoy some solo time with your coffee. It’s got that perfect balance between being bustling enough to feel like a local hotspot but still calm enough to settle in for hours without feeling rushed. The Coffee: I’ve come to expect nothing less than excellent coffee from Baristello, and they never disappoint. Every drink is crafted with care, from their creamy cappuccinos to their smooth pour-overs. The baristas here are super knowledgeable. The coffee is always top-notch, i have their coffee to make at home as well but it’s always nice to sit down and enjoy the ambiance. I’m especially excited about the possibility of affogato making its way to the menu this summer. If it’s anything like their other offerings, I can already imagine how perfect it’ll be—the mix of rich espresso with vanilla gelato sounds like the ideal treat on a sunny Montreal afternoon! The Food: This time, I decided to try one of their sandwiches, and it was delicious. I went for the Focaccia Salami ($14), which came with tapenade olives, Fior di latte, arugula, roasted aubergines, caramelized onions, and salami—all sandwiched between the most satisfying focaccia. The flavors were spot on. The salty salami balanced with the creamy cheese, the sweetness of the caramelized onions, and the fresh, earthy notes from the aubergines and arugula. It was hearty but fresh, and I couldn’t stop thinking about how well everything came together. If you’re in the mood for something more filling than just a pastry, this sandwich is definitely worth a try. Customer Service: One of the things that really sets Baristello apart is the warm, friendly service. Stacy’s a regular here, so we’re always greeted with a smile, and the baristas and owner are always happy to chat and make recommendations. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a local regular, they make you feel like a valued guest. It’s the kind of place where the staff genuinely cares about making your experience a great one, which is always a nice touch when you’re trying to relax with a coffee or snack. Location: Located near Jarry Metro, Baristello is easy to get to and in a neighborhood that feels lively yet relaxed. It’s close enough to all the action but not smack in the middle of the busiest streets, so you get a quieter experience. Whether you’re coming from the Plateau or just exploring the area, it’s the perfect pit stop for a coffee or snack. Final Thoughts: Baristello has quickly become a favorite spot for me whenever I visit Stacy, and it’s easy to see why. The cozy ambiance, delicious coffee, and great food make it a place I look forward to returning to every time. Add the possibility of affogato this summer, and it’s going to be even harder to resist coming back. Whether you’re a local or just visiting, this café near Jarry Metro is definitely worth checking out. I know I’ll be back soon for a cup of coffee—and hopefully an affogato!

Best latte I’ve had in a very long time! So rich and smooth! The cafe has such a welcoming energy and the service was super friendly! If you’re walking through Villeray in need of a good coffee stop in! A plus is they sell a variety of Italian goods! so snag a coffee and a bag of pasta to cook later :)

Baristello makes the best coffee in town! The beans purchased from Baristello is of highest quality and will make step up your morning espresso game! Baristello also offers a limited selection of dessert but each one of them is deliicioo!!

Calm atmosphere with great music. Fresh and delicious sandwiches with a good slice of pizza. Coffee was balanced and well prepared. Not much selection but what was offered was in good portion with good ingredients. A cute little stop if you happen to be around!

Yelp
I've only been here once but I love it so much. It's just got this great vibe and the man at the counter is so nice. I couldn't decide between the slush coffee or the granita and he made me try both and then try them together and it was such an interesting taste. Can't say I hated it or liked it but it was new! I also got a small breakfast sandwich that was very filing and wonderful. Just the most welcoming coffee shop.

Yelp
I recently visited Baristello with my bud Hoang-Khai and I enjoyed a fantastic latte. As Italian caffe's go.... this is the real deal and I'm not the only one who noticed since this small establishment was packed to the brim on a early Sunday morning. They also have a nice selection of crustless sandwiches and baked goods, ideal for breakfast/brunch/lunch all at very reasonable rates. Seating can be a little difficult with so many people but I'm sure you'll find a way to enjoy their delicious coffee. That being said, not ideal as a place to study, not a whole lot of seating room and it was quite loud. Staff is super friendly and competent. This place has recently opened and they're super motivated and happy. The quality of what they offer is immensely evident. Will definitely make an effort to come back.

Yelp
Perfect little Italian coffee shop. You can sit at the bar or at a couple tables, take your coffee to go. You'll have a warm welcome as you enter and feel like home. Great customer service AND, most importantly, delicious coffee!

Yelp
This is an Up and coming Italian cafe, I'm familiar with the patrons that run this place so I knew I'm in for a treat. Walking in you get that laid back cafe vibe with some Italian flare, like all the Italian imports on the wall like jams, chocolates, cookies and other goodies. There coffee is there own blend at it's fantastic, they have everything from espresso to cappuccinos and everything in between. They also have house made sandwiches, I had there egg sandwich with spicy salami a delicious little bite! I was tempted to try there baked goods, croissants and chocolatine from a bakery near by. The baristas are very friendly and always willing to spark up a conversation. This is a joint this area really needed. I suspect big things coming from these guys in the year. If your in the area come grab a coffee and even if your not it's definitely worth the drive for great coffee and pineapples as far as the eye can see!!! I definitely will be back! Ps: they also sale local good from chuck Hughes like his maple syrup, olive oil etc.
