"This long-running Ktown spot often feels like an underground lounge, but on game day, it becomes a proper sports bar. The projector gets wheeled out, and win or lose, everyone’s ordering the kimchi pasta." - kat hong, james montgomery

Google
Amaziinngg, the lights are dim and the music playing it great. Me and friends tried the fish tacos, garlic fries, asada tacos, and the kimchi pasta which is the main reason why i went. It was the best pasta ever the scallops and shrimp were perfect and the pasta itself was amazing! Definitely will be back on my next trip

If you're looking for a great neighborhood bar in Korean Town, Cafe Bleu is the place to go! I've been coming here for over 15 years and it never disappoints. The bartenders are excellent and friendly, making the atmosphere welcoming and cozy. The food and drink selection is fantastic. Whether you're looking for a beer or a shot, they have a great variety to choose from. The food is delicious with appetizers and entrees that will leave you satisfied. The prices are also reasonable, making it a great spot to grab a bite and a drink without breaking the bank. One thing that sets Cafe Bleu apart from other bars is the quality of people who go there. Everyone is respectful and friendly, making it an ideal spot to relax and socialize. I've never seen a fight inside, which is a testament to the respectful atmosphere that everyone cultivates. The decor is simple, with a hint of nostalgia that adds to the overall ambiance of the place. It's definitely an ideal spot for casual hangouts with friends or for a date night. In conclusion, I highly recommend Cafe Bleu to anyone looking for a great bar in Korean Town. The welcoming atmosphere, quality food and drinks, and respectful clientele make it a must-visit spot. Just grab a drink, enjoy the company of good people and the relaxing atmosphere, and have a great time.

Yelp
Legendary spot, if you know you know. Soon as you walk inside, you understand why it's called Cafe Bleu. Service is immaculate food & drinks.... obviously sensational & most importantly... they play the best music . Always some 90s hip hop / R&B or some joint that remind me of the trenches or my first gf in 6th grade. anyways I love this place . Highly recommended

Yelp
Hands down best wings in LA. The kimchi pasta will change your life. The BLT is the perfect sandwich snack with the crispiest lettuce crunch dribbling with decedent bacon. Bleu is Koreatown's favorite hang out spot with strong drinks and incredible food. Let em know BAP ROSS sent you. Btw.... DONT, SLEEP. ON. THE. SKEWERS.

Yelp
I'd you're looking for a slight departure from typical Koreatown bars, Cafe Bleu is a great spot. They have a super chill environment with a full bar, and from the bartenders (shoutout to Q, Beena, Cindy) to the crowd, the people are incredibly cool. Also, a solid spot to bring business too!

Yelp
UFC, 80's and 90's K-pop, buffalo wings, and Sochelada (soju x michelada). Everything I want in once place.

Yelp
Cafe Bleu has been around for ages, but I only went for the first time a few weeks ago, several hours into a boozy Koreatown night. I showed up with a small group after an event in the neighborhood, and ended up standing outside at two in the morning while everyone else smoked. Strip mall drunkies and cigarettes, boy did that take me back. The bar was pleasant and comfortable, pretty quiet on a Thursday night but nowhere near dead. It had a moody, loungey atmosphere, and felt like a great place to be a drunk Korean. I sat at the bar and caught up with an old friend over yogurt soju. Service was great, friendly and fast, and that yogurt soju hit. I don't know when I'd go back to Cafe Bleu, but I was heartened by this visit. I remember being young and drinking soju in KTown strip malls. I'm glad this is something we're still doing.

Yelp
I've come to cafe bleu for many reasons but it's the friendly staff, managers, and bartenders that make this place the best bar in ktown. Especially on a busy Saturday they have the best bartenders. Make sure you tip your bartender because they work hard. Also another reason they deserve a 5 star is that they have great food options that go well with your drink. Make sure you order the nachos, chicken wings, the tri trip sandwich, and carne asada tacos.

Yelp
I had the BEST time here!! Met some friends for a drink and the servers were amazing, and the crowd was so chill! The food is bomb and so are the drinks! Couldn't recommend this place enough!

Ronald R.

Yelp
Reliable Ktown standard: good food and the friendliest, fun staff in the neighborhood. Relaxed and chill ambiance. Go!

Yelp
Fun happy hour. But also came after happy hour. Service was great. Really good recommendation on drinks. Fun vibe. Allan or Allen was very nice and made great drinks recommendations.

Yelp
Great spot for drinks and food. Good music and vibes. We always go here and they're accommodating to any group, small or large

Yelp
I've been to Cafe Bleu like ten times (most recently on a bad date over the weekend lol) and I came a few times during the 00s on trips to LA from Chi. It's been open so long Dumbfoundead had an album after the kbar. The vibe has always been pretty chill and the crowd skews a little older. I'm a little older so I like that, lol. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Cheers to beers and happy hour. Beer is a couple dollars off during happy hour plus they have some food deals. Also, they revamped their food menu and it's pretty dope now with a lot of options. It gets packed during Dodgers games~fun atmosphere.

Yelp
Amazing spot! Great service and great vibes. Food never disappoints. I have been here multiple times and always enjoyed.

Yelp
My favorite bar in ktown, bartenders are always nice and attentive, food is criminally slept on (wings + nachos + blt)
google avatar

Peter K.

Yelp
Most people know Bleu as just a drinking spot but their food is top notch especially their wings (buffalo and soy garlic), fries, BLT, toast sandwich, and kimchi pasta.. and this is only a quarter of their menu. Also best customer service and vibes are immaculate!
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Cafe bleu is my fav bar in ktown. dumbfoundead made a whole ass EP about it. the food is excellent and the menu is extensive(blt is a must) bartenders always on point and couches are comfy/cozy

Yelp
Just needed an old fashion made with Makers Mark and WOW, it's horrible....but the bartender said she not good at making them.

Tony K.

Yelp
Wow. I thought this place was just for drinks but damn they have some good food too. Menu had a decent selection too but I went with the BLT and the wings. Let me tell you its probably one of the best BLTs and wings Ive ever had in LA. Like no joke. You have to try it.
google avatar

Esenia J.

Yelp
I usually go here for happy hour. Their drinks are pretty good. The owner and bartenders are really chill. When we go around 5/6pm it is usually empty but later at night it gets packed. They also play dodger games here.
google avatar

Yelp
A nice bar that I've seen for years but never went into until recently. I wish I had gone inside way sooner. It's a pretty chill and fun spot. The service is friendly and helpful. You get a choice of sitting at the bar or a table. We usually go for the table but I imagine the bar is nice too! (I'm just shy-super shy...yes I'm poorly singing that song). I've only ordered the carne asada nachos, but let's say it's I've ordered it almost every time I've been there. So you can't go wrong with that. It can get a little loud and dark but hey that's the cool and mysterious environment they're going for. It's located in one of the best plazas in k town. Like every restaurant there is amazing. Parking is valet at night but not too expensive. There is some metered street parking but that can be a challenge. Overall, it's a great spot to relax and grab some drinks.

Kelly E.

Yelp
Q and Mina are the best!! easily the best sports bar in koreatown. $99 bottles during happy hour!!

Stephen G.

Yelp
It's a nice bar with its own type of atmosphere. For anyone that becomes a local or visits Ktown often this is what I would consider a staple.

Yelp
First of all plz excuse my repeated reviews...I freakin don't know how to delete the duplicates!Anyhow, this is my new updated review so let's try to enjoy guys, gals, and pronouns fools~ I've been coming here since I was a cocoon.Man oh man,let me tell you the place has been renovated to the most magical place I've seen... The sofas are new and blue like Blue's clues the dog if y'all know what I mean...maybe I'm color blind but it's hella nice now.All of the bar tenders are beautiful here especially Peter the Great and Hailey the berserker(wink) and lastly Q the most magical being I've ever laid my virgin eyes on.When she comes up to me and ask me what I would like to drink,I just freeze like as if Medusa stared at me and I turned into a Roman statue...Enough said and the food menu has been updated and now there's more delicious bar food now which will please our fat cells...I'm soo happy and I died many years ago. Thus, people!!! Come to Bleu and drown your money and happiness here!!!!! Ooooh yeah~Bite into a slim Jim.

Yelp
Cafe Bleu is my favorite bar in KTown (and that's not just because I live in walking distance). I was worried that the place had closed down because they were closed Memorial Day weekend. Seems like they were closed for renovations but not gone! Thank god. The place generally has chill vibes. Not to say you won't get some good loud music, but it's a place to sit and enjoy some drinks and chill. It is rarely ever crowded, which is my favorite. I've never had trouble getting a seat. Despite being in a very crowded and popular area, the entrance tends blend into the space, which I love. It makes the place feel like a hidden gem despite it not being hidden at all. Every time I take friends, they're surprised the place exists. "I've been to this area countless times and never noticed it there." Everyone should go to Cafe Bleu - but not all at once. I still want an easy seat.
google avatar

Shy T.

Yelp
Place was not it. Bottom line. Save your money, save your hair and clothing from smelling like cigarette smoke. I'll never come back. Food was .

Yelp
Finding the entrance was a bit confusing and could be considered a speakeasy if you weren't trying to look for the bar. The front door doesn't look like a restaurant at all which is cool when you realize what it is. I came on a Friday night around 10:30-11pm, and was seated right then and there. You could tell it was the bar you go to after you hit all the other bars and finish off the night because it was pretty empty. Later on more people started coming in, so I would recommend coming around 12 and after. The tables are mostly sofas and meant to be comfortable for larger parties. They were playing 90's rap & the vibe was cool. The staff was very chill, almost too relaxed considering they forgot to bring us a dish and a waitress was hitting a vape in the corner nonetheless still nice and friendly. We ordered the pineapple soju cocktail which was perfect for 2 people. I think the peach cocktail would've been better tho! Then we got the Bleu chicken wings which are a must have, and I'd rank the kimchi fried rice last. The total was under $60, not the best but not the worst either. I'd come back for the atmosphere, the cocktails, and wings with a bigger party later at night.

Yelp
Bafe Bleu should be a protected landmark. Back during the prohibition this was the first Asian speakeasy that served bootleg rice wine and dried sea rat and squid. It was. It is. And will be here for the neighborhood, all the long time regulars and the new faces that walk in on their way to becoming regulars. Cheers Ray! Thanks again

Yelp
Good place, been going there since 1991. Great vibe! Cons: The management told me not to come back. It was my fault I thought this dude was Chris Davis from last night. This is what two hours of sleep will do with heavy drinking during dinner / bar at other establishments the work I do taking care of my mom w dementia and daughter had me compromised w stress. The management never ask me what happened he only believes the other party. I've only talk to the guy did not swear or acted inappropriate ly. Well wrong Chris Davis looks just like him with same build and long beard. The guy left swearing at me for some reason wanting me to pay for his bill and I said no just wanted to sit on the sofa as I was extremely tired. I thank the Lord and the manager as I need to quit drinking and smoking. Thanks Will for baring me at bleu. You will never see me going to this establishment again. Its been a great 33 years at Cafe bleu. Your action with unfairness gave me strength and courage to quit bad habits. I need to focus more on my family and be the man as God has intended us to be and follow his word in lieu of reality that we humans had made. God's creation is Good we are the *uck ups. Again Thanks Will for kicking me out of the establishment. Too much Testosterone atmosphere anywaze. I'm done and I feel good in lieu of being angry or dismay. James the owner always greeted me with mutual respect. No more drinking for me. Again Thanks bleu!

Yelp
Wow, they finally went out of business. This place been around since I moved to LA 20 years ago

Yelp
My favorite place in Ktown, LA. My second home. Its the "Cheers" Bar of Ktown! Extensive selection, GOOD FOOD (The Tacos and Burgers), chill loungey vibe, tons of screens to watch sports, friendly bartenders, shout out to Pedro and the staff, and great people! I've always had the best time at Bleu.
google avatar

Yelp
If Julianna, Intercrew or Normandie Club closed early then bring your ass over to Bleu. They'll be open and get you your night cap promptly ... saaaa

Yelp
Cute bar with food options in ktown. I've been outside of it half a dozen times while waiting in line for sun nong dan. Parking is terrible but you already knew that. This is a sports bar with a lot of plush booths set up, a complete 180 from what I was expecting (a loud nightclub with servers ignoring everyone... it's actually really low key in here)-- we were seated straight away at a big booth and were helped by multiple people during our short visit. Prices for typical cocktails weren't listed on the menu, but a Moscow mule was $12 plus a $2 surcharge for substituting the well vodka (waitress informed us of the extra cost) and it was delicious. The "small" soju cocktail drink was ~16 or so dollars and was also pretty big, way more than I expected and could serve 2 (or 3 light drinkers). The fries smelled so good but unfortunately we passed on getting food this time, but looking forward to trying at a later date.

Sulongcha Y.

Yelp
This place was overpriced, food was under seasoned, the service was mid, vibe was ehh. Dried squid for $25? I'll pass. The flavors within the dishes were unbalanced, some flavors didn't work with each other. Some dishes flavors were either over powering or under. I will definitely not be returning and do not recommend this place to people who wants a decent meal.

Yelp
I started coming here right before Covid .Hailey & Yewon are the original ones I interacted with. There's been one other female and male when I've gone in. All great and very attentive. I've ate here a few times and it's been delicious never had a complaint. The ambiance is a chill vibe, nice music and doesn't get all loud. Whenever I'm in ktown I always try to stop in. It's always welcoming makes you feel at home when they know your name.

Yelp
Great customer service and drinks. Definitely recommend for a quick getaway to drink eat and watch some sports

Yelp
Service was atrocious. No one checked in. Took a while to get my bill. Highly disappointed. On top of that the veggies on my nachos did not taste fresh.

Yelp
Wonderful bar / lounge in K-Town. Give it a visit if you want some chill vibes. P.S. Christina is best :)

Yelp
Tucked in the corner and although unassuming from the outside, you'll find a dark and well-dressed environment inside. Welcome to Cafe Bleu. On my most recent visit, we ordered the happy hour bottle of Johnnie Walker Black along with two sliders. The price was very reasonable for the 750 ml. The two beef sliders were most like hamburgers and the patties were tasty and tender. The buns were toasty and the lettuce was fresh. I would definitely order these sliders again. You'll find the traditional bar seating and plenty of lounge seating arrangements. On some nights, looks like they have live music. Service was very attentive and friendly, especially the two bartenders who were working that Wednesday night.

Yelp
Kimchi pasta is my probably my favorite dish here. If you like seafood and you like a little spice this is the one for you!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to Cafe Bleu twice now and Peter was working the bar both times. He's provided awesome service and is fun to talk to. Great conversations and he makes an awesome old fashion. I appreciate the deep culture the bar has and the patrons there seem to as well. Definitely a great spot to spending your bar night at!
google avatar

Yelp
Server/bartender was great and very attentive, but the prices on the menus are inaccurate and charge way more than listed.

Yelp
Cafe Bleu da ba Dee daba da. Cash only at certain hours. Environment: this spot is open late and great for being drunk. The entrance is on the corner of the popular plaza in Korea Town. You will be greeted by a low lit atmosphere and vibes. The lighting is LED based and there is plenty of space. Bathrooms are to the left, dining areas to the right Food: we ordered the seafood soup. Probably the most zesty and tastiest soup I've had. It literally rates like the ocean. It's pricey but split amongst 6 it's worth it. We also ordered a lot of soju. Service: good service. Drink with the waiter he'll give you a bottle on the house! Very attentive and nice. You can also press a button for quick attention. Summary: it's blue and it's a rainbow. Nice spot to hangout and eat. I give it a 10 TASTES LIKE THE OCEAN out of 10.

Yelp
If you don't know Cafe Bleu, you don't know Ktown LA. THE CHEERS Bar of Ktown where everybody knows your name, and they're always glad you came. Great drinks, great company, and some of the best memories of my life. Pedro and Yewon are the best. James hyung is the OG. I LOVE CAFE BLEU FOREVER.

Yelp
Korean BBQ Hack: Put your name in for the hour long wait at Quarters or Kang Ho Dong Baekjeong, and hop across the street to Cafe Bleu for their happy hour from 5-9pm daily (even weekends!!!). We've done it a couple of times and it's never let us down. Jameson and Johnny walker black we're on happy hour for I think around $7 and that night Altos tequila was on sale too. They have a beautiful bar and the atmosphere has a sleek lounge vibe. The drinks came pretty slow from the bar and there was a minor confusion with our tab, but the staff was great and our server was amazing. She apologized for how long everything took, quickly cleared up questions about our tab, and allowed us to order a last round right after happy hour because the first round took a while. She was truly the MVP that night. When other places in Korea town are super crowded, this place normally has a seat for you. Possibly because it's through an unassuming door in the corner of their lot. I personally love it, cause who in their right mind likes a crowded bar packed like sardines!? If you validate your ticket at Quarters, you can valet your car in their lot for $5, but if you try to park in the Cafe Bleu lot, it's normally chaos and super crowded. As far as additional parking, you can always find parking on the street or at one of the parking structures, but that can be expensive and tedious.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
This is a home away from home where everyone knows your name. Love their kogi tacos, garlic fries & heavy pour on drinks. Pedro is my favorite bartender there but the other girls take very good care of you too. I rotate between soju, wine and whisky. On fun frisky nights I'll drink tequila and usually there's a good crowd that will take shots with me there. I like the lighting inside, blue which keeps the atmosphere cool. Always chill vibes and I always come back after a long day!
google avatar

Yelp
What is it about Koreatown that always makes me want to have a cocktail? After having a great meal at Quarters, I wasn't ready yet to go home and face reality. I WANTED A DRINK. So, my bf and I headed over to Cafe Bleu. Located in one of the many strip malls of Koreatown, Cafe Bleu is definitely becoming of my quick faves for a cocktail when I am in the area. I have only been here on Tuesday nights. During this time the place is super mellow, playing nice music, with some sport playing on the big screen in the background. I'm positive that a Saturday night here is wild. We made it to Happy Hour, stayed for about an hour and enjoyed our drinks. PRO TIP (for me at least): Their house tequila is Casamigos (my fave) Esther, the bartender was great! Looking forward to another drink here soon.

Jean R.

Yelp
Best happy hour(s) around with specials on drinks and food. Also go see Darbie on Mondays for service with a smile!

Yelp
Yuki was AMAZING . great, warm service. loved the food and felt right at home. will absolutely be back
