Café Bon Ami Swings Open in the CBD | Eater New Orleans

"In the CBD’s newest coffee hub, I found Café Bon Ami serving Cafe Grumpy coffee and Belloq (also spelled Bellocq) teas from Brooklyn, plus both vegan and non-vegan baked goods from homegrown Levee Baking Co., which also supplies Congregation Coffee, Mammoth Espresso, and Cherry Espresso. The shop is run by sisters Bonnie Dye and Amy Dye Domangue, native Louisianians and former baristas. Cafe Grumpy has become a nearly iconic New York brand—partly because of its role in HBO’s Girls and partly because its beans are thoughtfully sourced by a staff that includes certified Q Graders—while Bellocq teas are single-estate, whole-leaf, organic teas still assembled by hand. Housed in an 1858 building that originally served as a cotton exchange, visitors can even see and step into one of the cafe’s original vaults." - Stephanie Carter

Ione of my favorite drinks is an iced matcha. I got one here and there were clumps of matcha every single sip. Haven’t tried the other drinks but do not recommend the matcha.

My favorite Pain au chocolat is from here and the staff is very friendly. This is my new place to go before going to school in the morning
