"This charming cafe serves breakfast and brunch all day, every day. Choose from French-leaning favorites like fluffy croissants and sweet and savory crepes, tuck into a hearty egg sandwich, or savor overnight oats. Bonus: The cafe is super allergen-friendly with gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options including a whole menu of plant-based smoothies." - Celina Colby, Eater Staff

I’ll be honest it wasn’t what I expected upon walking in here. It was small, a little tight with space, and the menu wasn’t what I was hoping for, as far as options. The menu is has a lot of healthy options and less of the traditional selections. But what I ordered was delicious. The eggs are cooked perfect and fluffy, the potatoes with the spicy sauce were amazing, and the crepes were perfect. I guess it was a perfect example of the classic saying “don’t judge a book by its cover”. I wish they had some classic dishes here though, but I get it, it’s a French style spot. All in all the food was great and we would come back here.

This place serves one of the best brunches I’ve had in Boston. It’s a small, cozy spot, but it’s very popular, so be prepared for a line if you arrive after 9 a.m. I visited on a cold, rainy Sunday around 10 a.m. and had to wait about 20 minutes to get in. Despite the crowd, the line moved quickly, and the wait was absolutely worth it for the food. The seating process is based on party size, so smaller groups or solo diners at the bar tend to get in faster. If you’re a group of four, it might take a little longer. Once inside, I was impressed by how efficiently the staff handled the busy environment. We received our coffee within 5 minutes, and the food arrived about 15 minutes after ordering. The food itself was outstanding. I highly recommend the Eggs Norwegian, but the Mediterranean Crepe is another excellent choice. The portions are generous, the flavors are on point, and the prices are fair. This place really hits the mark with both quality and service. The only downside is the restaurant’s small size, which causes the wait time. However, they’re working to address that with some outdoor seating options. Overall, this place is a gem for brunch lovers.

Google
The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. The menu offers a fantastic variety of breakfast and brunch options, with plenty of healthy and indulgent choices. Good place for a brunch.

Google
Lovely place. Super busy. Loved the food! We got steak tips and eggs, shakshouka and signiture scrambled plate. What I liked: the potatos were amazing. The hollandaise sauce was great. Eggs tasted great and cooked over easy exactly how I liked them. Shakshouka was so flavorful. Could improve on: i requested the steak medium well but received it very well done. Also the cappuccino tasted more like drip plus milk - better cappuccino s are needed.

Wow! Amazing! There is always a line at any good brunch place in the city. When I saw the line I figured it would take forever. NOPE, 10-15min later we were seated. My daughter got the strawberry stuffed French toast with bacon and an iced decaf mocha latte. She just kept telling me how good it was. I got a bloody Mary, and the croque madame. I made so many yummy noises. Some places, the hash browns are throw-aways. Not here! Everything was so good, and fast. It was a little loud and a very small, but the food and service blew me away.

Google
Very good food, good service. Our steak and egg came a little too well done so they allowed us to keep the first serving and re-cooked another for us without question. The only drawback, the place is a little small and understandably crowded.

Michael Dorman

Google
A must stop when in Boston. I'd go as far as saying this is one of the top 2-3 breakfast places I've ever been. They were incredibly busy but sat us quickly and had food out within a reasonable time. The efficiency of every operation is only topped by the quality of the food. The prices are more than fair for the amount of food as well

Lily

Google
The food was incredible. Highly recommend it. We had a scrambler sandwich- the French baguette was so fresha and soft. The potatoes had a lot of great flavor. We also ordered salmon avocado tartine- best I've ever had. Great presentation and you can tell that all of their ingredients are fresh. Service was ok but it was probably due to how busy they were. It took some time for someone to take our order. He helped others who came after us first. But the person working as a host was very welcoming and friendly as well as the manager working the floor that morning. I definitely recommend this restaurant. It was worth the wait. Thank you.

Yelp
We were lucky to get in early on. Rainy and cold Sunday morning. Everything met our expectations- 1. Cafe bonjour French toast- sweet strawberries, bananas and whipped cream toppled on perfectly cooked French toast. Best we've ever had! 2. Avocado (toast) tartine - thick layer of avocado with poached eggs and plenty of arugula with tomatoes. I would get this again and again 3. Nutella croissant- so much Nutella, you won't be left with more croissant and not enough chocolate hazelnut goodness 4. Almond croissant this was really good, but next to the Nutella croissant, it was second place. 5. Steak and eggs perfectly cooked, had it with poached eggs. We got three croissants to go, plus a cafe bonjour latte - get it! And a mocha latte, you may want to add a packet of sugar if you like sweet on this one.

Yelp
Ambiance: cute small restaurant. nothing fancy but tables are tiny Service: fast casual service. Food: food was good here! my boyfriend got the omelet and i got the croque monsieur. we both enjoyed our food but the side potatoes were amazing. it was seasoned differently than other side potatoes with a chipotle like sauce to dip in

Yelp
Came to Cafe Bonjour on a cold Sunday this February, and man did it hit the spot! There was a bit of a wait though by the time we got there around 11 am-ish, so do expect to wait on the weekends. There is also no indoor waiting area; however, there are a couple of heating lamps outside, so it wasn't too bad. Host was pretty attentive, and made sure to call out name at least 2-3x so that he doesn't miss your group. When my cousin and I finally got seated, we were really surprised by how efficient their serving staff was. They really didn't leave much idle time in between, but oddly enough, we didn't feel rushed at all. My cousin ended up ordering the French toast with salmon on the side, while I ended up with the eggs benedict. Both were so good! Flavorful and filling. We were able to go about our day without feeling sluggish but full enough to not feel like we were starving until dinner time.

Uche N.

Yelp
Phenomenal time at Cafe Bonjour. They are walk in only and the host who was organizing the line was incredibly kind and efficient. His time for the wait was very spot on and he was reassuring that things move along quick enough. Our drinks came out quickly and our food came out shortly after. The food was fantastic. We devoured it so quickly. The croissant did not feel heavily at all and our mint team was refreshing. It is a busy restaurant but they fit all of the tables and people inside very well to accommodate the popularity. Even so, it is not particularly loud. The location is right off the park street / down town crossing T stops so it's very accessible via red/green/orange lines. I will definitely return again soon.

Audrey L.

Yelp
The staff here was amazing. So nice and so sweet with my toddler. We came here early morning for breakfast and it was not too busy but people trickled in while we were there. The coffee was good and the breakfast signature scramble sandwich was amazing! Huge portion and so delicious. Lots of eggs and avocado. I wanted to go there the next day but got delayed in the morning and couldn't make it. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Boston!

Megan Y.

Yelp
Ambience definitely matches the name Cafe Bonjour in that it's extremely cramped with high ceilings but that's about it. We were super excited to try this place out and waited in the rain for about 40 minutes--there was a space heater outside but it either was just not turned on or was broken so that was pretty tough. We got mochas, the plant based sausage sandwich and a croque madame. The mochas were okay, but the food was a let down. I like that the plates include both a side salad and potatoes, but the sandwiches were both very underwhelming. The sausage sandwich bread was pretty cold and soggy and the croque madame was on sliced sandwich bread, which sort of made it hard to both look at and eat. We were seated in the back corner so it took a while to get waters and had several tables seated after us get their orders in (as well as food) before us, so that was another meh moment.

Hayley P.

Yelp
Oh my gosh, I loved this place. They definitely are shooting for a Parisian or European cafe and they nailed it. Teeny tiny on the inside so you may have to wait but they seem to turn tables quickly. The food is so good and the price is reasonable - especially for the size of portions. I'm always going to get the Croque Monsieur when it's on the menu, and theirs delivers. Lattes were good too. And you can't go wrong with a sweet crepe. Should we ever return to Boston, we will definitely come here for breakfast.

Sam M.

Yelp
My Bf and I ate at Cafe Bonjour during a weekend trip to Boston. It was very close to our hotel and had good reviews so we decided to check it out. We went on a Sunday around 11am expecting it to be busy and were not wrong. There was a mass of people waiting outside the restaurant. There is no indoor waiting area, so the host stand and waiting area is on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant. They have heat lamps and a couple benches which are nice. We were quoted a 30 min wait and it ended up being exactly 30 mins to the minute. The inside of the restaurant is very cozy. It's not very large so the tables are small and close together, but it works for the Parisian aesthetic. Unfortunately we were seated at probably the worst table - down the back corridor toward the bathroom. We had the coat rack behind us and waiters constantly walking back and forth from the kitchen. We tried to make the best of it though, one upside was it was quieter than the main restaurant so we could at least have a conversation. The food was good. My Bf got the Eggs Norwegian and I got the Croque Monsieur Baguette. The portions were a good size. You won't leave hungry. The eggs came on top of my baguette but I ended up putting them inside and eating the whole thing as a sandwich. The service is prompt as I imagine turnover is important for a place this size. While they weren't overly friendly, the servers did a good job making sure we had what we needed. In summary, I would recommend coming here on a weekday when it's less busy, but for us it was worth the wait.

Kristin A.

Yelp
We were looking for a brunch spot on a Monday and this place had the best Yelp reviews and was in the area and direction we were heading for the day. They don't take reservations so everyone stands around waiting, but it's worth the wait! They are fast and the breakfasts are filling and delicious! The owner came over to fill our coffees and chatted with us about where he gets his roasted coffee beans and how he came to run this restaurant. Such an amazing story since he opened right before Covid, but he kept cooking and powered through and glad he did! If you are looking for a great breakfast place stop by this hustling and busy spot!

Yelp
I woke up late but still wanted breakfast; I found Cafe Bonjour not far from my hotel and decided to pop in. Upon arriving, the place was completely packed, but the host was able to quickly seat me at the bar. After ordering, my food came out within a very reasonable amount of time. As for the food itself, it was delicious! My only complaint is that it was unnecessarily rich. For example, I felt that the cheese was an unnecessary addition. The sauce, while flavorful, was too abundant and distracted from the taste of the scrambled eggs and caramelized onions. Overall, Cafe Bonjour serves good food, but I would recommend hitting up the gym afterwards.

Nadeen C.

Yelp
We loved this place ! Came here for breakfast. And it was delicious! We ordered the breakfast scramble & steak tips and eggs. Soooo good! The only downside, the seating is very very limited and the inside is small. I was literally shoulder to shoulder with the person at the next table. If you have a large party, I'd recommend calling ahead, or maybe find somewhere else a bit bigger. Other than that, GREAT EXPERIENCE !

Evelyn W.

Yelp
Long line but it moves quickly! The food is pretty good, service is so-so but I expected as much with how busy they are. The inside is cute and it being in downtown is so convenient. We ordered the Bonjour Burger, Relax smoothie, Bonjour Classic crepes, Mediterranean Omelet, and a Bonjour Latte. Would highly recommend getting the crepes with all the fruits, nutella, and whipped cream - the texture was fabulous. The Bonjour Burger meat being kofta was also very special, it's seasoned to perfection.

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Server was a little un interested however the food and location was great. It took a while to get served.

Meeta A.

Yelp
What is this place!!!! Wanted to go here are looking at the crazy reviews on Yelp. I reached there at around 11 and was so disappointed because there was an hour of wait time for us to be seated! They don't take reservations, they probably cant because the crowd is crazy. Being friends with the host who manages the crowd is definitely helpful, he might be able to push you to the front! Finally got seats, the inside is packed, still the vibe is giving! Ordered a Mediterranean omelette and a signature blueberry bowl. The omelette came with a toast and fries. Both of them were so so delicious, full of flavor, the bowl could have been a little bigger, its way too small! We consciously tried to eat slow but were so hungry by the time we got seats that we literally finished in 10 mins. Overall i love the place and I'll come again, i will be there early much more mentally prepared for the rush. The food and the service is !

Cass A.

Yelp
The freshness of the ingredients was evident in every dish. The flavors were well-balanced, and the meal was prepared with attention to detail. Every bite was satisfying, and the menu offers something for every palate. I'll definitely be coming back for more. The food is always fresh and full of flavor

Lindsay K.

Yelp
Are you craving real life bacon? Because if you are, then do not come here. Which one of these do you think is REAL BACON. Added to note: menu says BACON. (Note, picture one is from a different restaurant - see pic description)

Anne Mariel E.

Yelp
I started with the Eggs Norwegian, and the salmon was unbelievably fresh, perfectly complementing the creamy hollandaise sauce and poached eggs. Each bite was a delightful balance of flavors. To pair with my meal, I opted for the Bonjour Latte--a velvety, rich blend with just the right touch of sweetness. It was smooth, comforting, and the perfect way to round out the experience. We only waited 15 minutes for a table, and our food was served surprisingly quickly, making the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Angela H.

Yelp
This place is a small cute cafe in downtown. It didn't have a line when I got there around 11 but we did see people waiting when we left around 12:15 ish. The place is pretty tight especially if there were a lot of people and they have 2 clean bathroom stalls. The waiters were very attentive making sure to always check on us and giving us suggestions for when we needed anything. They were a little quiet though so sometimes it's was hard to hear what they were saying. The food was good, they had a variety of normal breakfast foods as well as sandwich versions. They also had a different drinks to try including cocktails and smoothies. The food was a good size to finish all in one sitting without leftovers. The signature scramble sandwich was in a more baguette form than sandwich, I did wish it had more bacon and their Bonjour sauce though had to add ketchup and hot sauce to get more flavor into it. The Bonjour omelet was nearly perfect and was filling in a good way. The moroccan lemonade did just take like regular lemonade, did wish there was a mint taste but there was nothing special about it. Most of the prices ranged from $13 to $17 with coffees and teas around $3 to $6. Definitely would recommend for a brunch place with the girls!

Benjamin B.

Yelp
Good food, fast service and turn around time. They have a line, but they are good about getting people through. I say eat here when you are in a hurry to site see elsewhere. Not a place for large parties and I felt a little rushed, but I was in a hurry anyway. Perfect for a party of 4 or less. Local favorite I'm sure.

Kiran V.

Yelp
Had a lovely time here for Sunday brunch. Cafe Bonjour is a short walk away from the downtown crossing t stop which was conveniently located. There was a large crowd waiting outside but we were pleasantly surprised to put our group of four down with only a 20 minute wait. About 3 minutes later as we started to walk away to do a lap, we were called for a table outside! It was a little loud with the people waiting outside but worth it for the quick seating. The inside seating also seemed crowded, so we were very happy with the choice. We each ordered lattes which came out very quickly and were well made. The portions of the coffee were sizeable! Our food came out shortly after (less than 15 minutes). I had the Bonjour omelette which was yummy. I was expecting a slightly larger portion but definitely filled me up. The Nutella croissant was a little disappointing, kind of on the smaller side and scant Nutella on the inside but tasty regardless. The waiters were attentive to us throughout and while it would have been nice to chat leisurely afterward, there were lots of groups waiting. Overall, very cute European cafe vibe and if you're willing to wait, a GREAT place for Sunday brunch!

Rosalia X.

Yelp
Looking for a breakfast / brunch spot in Boston? I recommend cafe bonjour. You do need to wait about 15-20mins for a table of 2. As you wait you can explore the area quick like grab a coffee and come back. Heads up, the spacing inside is a little tight but you will still have enough food on your table for two plate if you're a group of two. I recommend their Nutella stuffed French toast and their lox crepe. They don't shy on their lox at all! Staff members are pretty friendly and their food comes out pretty fast .

Becca M.

Yelp
Had to wait a bit outside but it was well worth it. The food was incredible and the atmosphere is so inviting. It was such a cozy place to have brunch. We arrived around 11am on Saturday and the wait was about 30 minutes. Not bad at all. Servers were fast and food came out quick but I never felt like we were being rushed. I definitely want to come back it was fantastic!

Calene R.

Yelp
The service is top notch!!! Love that they kept the original nuance of the space. Looking at the the wood trim and tiles and windows brings you back in time. The food is delicious and you won't leave hungry as the servings are ample.

Danielle G.

Yelp
Service is fantastic, even when they're packed. The owner and owner's brother along with a couple servers befriended my husband and I'd say took extra good care of us the three mornings we went there, but also I saw they treated everyone really well. A French and middle eastern flair, but also a lot of general breakfast plates. Food is fresh and tasty, service is fantastic, located close to Boston Commons Park and many popular landmarks, it's just each day so be prepared to wait a little bit, but well worth it.

Alexandre S.

Yelp
I am a Chef. There were some issues but I would definitely return soon! The service was professional. The ambiance was more diner than cafe, but still enjoyable. Sitting at the bar gives you a very good view of the kitchen activity (the kitchen was superficially clean but could use a deep clean / new equipment). The blueberry bowl was fantastic, 5/5. The blended dates give it a wonderfully creamy mouthfeel. The burger a solid 4 Pros: The bun was grilled, it wasn't oily or greasy, rhe use of kofta is very creative, the egg was perfect in the middle, the potatoes were wonderfully seasoned and I appreciate that they aren't deep fried. Cons: The sauce needs work, it was very underwhelming, it gets lost between the spices from the potatoes and the richness of the kofta. Add spices and maybe Sriracha? The salad was swimming in dressing and the meat was much closer to well done than medium. Also, I wouldn't order bacon from this restaurant unless you like it very crispy.

Liz Y.

Yelp
Excellent customer service even during their rush hour. We came for brunch and my friend had a flight to catch and we were seated and served quickly and they accommodated every request. Food was delicious as well. Servers were very friendly!

Cindy C.

Yelp
I went on a Sunday right around 12:30. There were quite a few groups of people waiting outdoor. This place is located in a very walkable spot, in the financial district very close to Boston common and Chinatown. But I would not recommend leaving the entrance unless there're more than 10 groups ahead of you. Because the line does go faster than you think. I sat at the bar, which faces the kitchen. Food was delicious, but the place was very loud. I ordered the bonjour omelet. Absolutely love it, the omelet and the potatoes and even salad was great. The portion is about right. Chai latte had this very cute cocoa powder flower on top of the milk foam. I also like their almond croissant. I would definitely come back with my friends.

Tarah B.

Yelp
My friend and I had breakfast here as it was right around the corner from the hotel we stayed at. Arrived a little after 9am and it was very popular, but our wait was quoted 15 minutes and that was a true time. We were brought to our table by the owner or manager but he was very nice and chatted as we were being seated. For such a busy place the kitchen had an amazing flow and the food was being brought out quick and efficiently. We both had the iced Bonjour latte, then I ordered the keto omelette while my friend ordered the shakshuka and we split a Nutella croissant. Everything was delicious and fresh. The pastry was buttery and soft, my omelette came with a small side salad and house dressing that paired very well with the rest of the meal. We were in and out pretty quick but was still able to relax and enjoy the meal without feeling rushed. Stop by if you are in the area!

Nishanth D.

Yelp
Went here for breakfast. There seemed to be a small line even though we were quite early, however was lucky enough to get seated right away. The shakshouka is definitely a must try, well balanced flavor. The salmon taritine also was very good, a little salty.

LifeListener X.

Yelp
Great breakfast spot if you are in town. Unlike traditional breakfast place, this place has variety of different options to choose from. Vegetarian friendly menu option as well. The vibe is good. If you plan to go on weekends, plan to be there early to find parking spots around Boston common.

Isabella C.

Yelp
This place is a must! In a convenient location for a lot of downtown offices, with several other restaurants nearby in case you can't get a table. Came around noon on a weekday for a work lunch, and got the bonjour omelet (wasn't able to take a picture). The potatoes were crispy and well-seasoned, and I loved the sauce that come with my plate. The omelet was cheesy, savory, and paired nicely with the side salad and bread. You get a filling meal for the price, and I was surprised at how fast our food came out. This is a small (cozy) place with indoor and outdoor seating, and despite being super busy, it was still quiet enough to be able to have a conversation. Shoutout to the owner as well! He was friendly, and even remembered us from the last time. Our interaction with him made this meal extra special, and I will definitely be back!

Zach M.

Yelp
Honestly this place is amazing. The food is all phenomenal. I usually get the vegan sausage sandwich which is always just *chefs kiss*. Must try items include the mint tea (get a pot) and almond croissant (not vegan but with a taste!) It's always crowded and they don't take reservations but the line moves very quickly. It tends to feel a bit cramped so if that's any issue they do offer outdoor sitting.

Michelle T.

Yelp
Service was phenomenal! We did have to wait outside to be seated in 30 degree weather, but it was worth it. There's not too much space inside and it was very crowded. They don't take reservations, so try going during off hours. My friends and I wanted to try both their savory and their sweet menu items. I ordered their shakshuka and my friends ordered strawberry french toast (stuffed with cream cheese!) and the omelette plate. The shakshuka was soo flavorful and delicious. Would have been even better if it had meatballs with it, since it just came with two pieces of bread. Everything tasted great and we all had completely empty plates by the end of our meal! Definitely will be returning to try more on the menu. I do wish the hot cocoa was more hot than warm, but it still tasted great.

Srinithi R.

Yelp
I have been here multiple times after class and the staff is always super friendly with fast service. They accommodate small groups and groups of two. I really enjoy their savory crepes but decided to try the sweet ones this time and it did not disappoint. I highly recommend this place if you want something filling and in a pinch.

Dafne S.

Yelp
This Cafe is right around Brattle Book shop! It's super tasty. They have a lot of different options. I feel like the staff could be a bit more friendlier but other than that everything was good

Katherine X.

Yelp
Can't do eggs benedict / Norwegian wrong. Potatoes and the sauce are . Dressing on the salad was too sweet. My friend didn't seem to like the scrambled sandwich as much.

Alee L.

Yelp
I'm not a person to skip breakfast so breakfast is a YES for me. I've passed by Cafe Bonjour countless times and this Friday I decided to give the place a try and at 10 am the lines were out the door. Do people not work on Fridays anymore? I put my name on the waitlist and the wait time for 2 people was about 20 minutes. Right off the bat after I put my name on the waitlist, the host got a chair for my mom so she could sit and wait. What great customer service from the start. After the wait, which wasn't bad at all, we were seated at a high top and we were able to put in our order soon after being seated. The place is tight and there's an open kitchen with flat grills and you can see the food getting made if you sit at the counter. The food is cooked to order and our food came out at a decent time. We got the Kale Chicken Caesar wrap and the Steak Tips and Eggs. I didn't have any high expectations for this place and was thinking it was going to be an average or decent breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised and both our dishes were smashingly delicious. The only grumble is there were only 4 steak tips in the dish and I felt cheated. Otherwise, the breakfast here is delightful and the staff is very efficient and courteous. Without a doubt, I'll make a return visit.

Humberto S.

Yelp
The food was amazing. I had the French toast and it was properly done with the right amount of syrup, and it had fruit on top and whip cream - excellent start to my day. My colleague had the Lox crepe and he said it was very good. The only thing neither of us liked was the waiter - either he was having a bad morning, was disinterested in serving us, was new or something else. We could barely hear him, was talking in a whisper, brought us coffee but no milk or sugar until we asked for it, and was not friendly to us or recommend us anything. The two young ladies at the table next to us received a more happier demeanor (same waiter). Everyone else at the cafe was pleasant and the hostess outside was very friendly.

Beverley A.

Yelp
This was a great place. We stopped by here over. The queue was a little long to enter, and we needed help booking a reservation there. Although we were out and waiting, the staff/hostess came over to check in on us. The customer service was impeccable before we had the food. We waited approximately 40 minutes. I had the lox crepe. It had mild sweetness on the crepe, but the lox and onions balanced it out. The only criticism was that the cream was a little much for me, but it would be beyond terrific if you love cream cheese. I pulled some of the cream cheese off, which was perfectly fine. The host and waitress continuously checked in on us. They were both extremely friendly. The prices were reasonable for the area. The ambiance felt like I was in the dining area of someone's home. The warmth in the building was a lovely embrace. The architecture is beautiful, and so are the people. Once you get the bill, there will be a tip(I wonder if it was because we had four people at a table). Keep that in mind as you pay the bill. Overall, I would be back again if I remain in the area. C'est tres bien. Bon Appetite!

Brittany B.

Yelp
10/10 recommend! The food was incredible and the customer service was top notch. They are so friendly here!

Kevin H.

Yelp
Service was quick and pleasant. Definitely a popular cafe. Super small quaint spot. Don't go with a big group. Enjoyed it. Would definitely go back with less shock when I turn the corner and see the line. However the wait was not super long. They have a few outside eating tables-like 3!! Inside is a tight spaces with limited seating The food is good. We had Bonjour and House Omelette, Bonjour Lux and French toast. All were good. Bonjour sauce was very good on potatoes, omelette and everything else I put it on. Haha

Zeel C.

Yelp
Excellent Brunch Place, very cozy, I would Highly recommend Eggs Benedict! Loved the place!

Hannah P.

Yelp
It is a Sunday and we were surprised at the number of coffee shops that don't open until 9am! We stumbled upon this location as one of the only open coffee shops. It is a sit down cafe, though you can also place to go orders with the staff at the front. We ordered 5 coffees, two teas, and a handful of pastries to sample. The staff were very helpful and kind. We also spoke with one of the owners who was so charismatic and engaging. Almond croissant has a lovely almond flavor. The plain croissant was SO flaky and light. The blueberry muffin was delicious (perfect sweetness, moist, spongey) and the banana nut muffin is more dense for my liking but has excellent flavor (more like banana bread).

Anthony G.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the breakfast here. Inside and outside seating. Service was excellent. The breakfast was served hot and had great flavor. Eggs were cooked perfect and the potatoes were so tasty. Never had a side salad with my breakfast but it was very good and nice fresh addition. Cool little cafe.

Tara N.

Yelp
This is my favorite breakfast spot in Boston! Great service, everyone is very friendly and the food is fantastic!

Bailey N.

Yelp
We chose this little place for our first Boston breakfast based on its proximity to our hotel and its reviews. Upon arrival, we had a short 15-ish minute wait. The inside is quite quaint, with that small "classic" diner feel i.e. that long bar and several small tables. It's not the largest place, and they really pack people in there. Just getting to our corner table meant brushing up on several people, prompting several "excuse mes, I'm sorrys", etc. My wife ordered the bonjour omelette and I had the steak tips and eggs. We both thought the potatoes were too greasy. My steak tips, even though I was given the option to order them "medium", were far from medium. They were rubbery and chewy. Additionally, the sauce on the steak was a very sweet, almost a bbq style, which I didn't really feel paired well with eggs. Left on my plate was a good amount of orange colored grease. I left quite a bit more food on my plate than I ordinarily do... Service was a tad random; several different people brought us different parts of our meal. Overall: based on the reviews, I was borderline disappointed.

Yelp
Café Bonjour, nestled in the heart of downtown Boston, is a charming culinary escape that brings a touch of France to your morning ritual. I opted for Croque Monsieur Baguette - a delightful, unpretentious creation, bursting with the comfort of eggs and ham. Yet, the true standout here lies beneath the plate. Those breakfast potatoes, crisped to perfection, transcend the mundane and elevate the entire experience. Café Bonjour may not be a groundbreaking revelation, but it's a testament to the power of well-executed simplicity in a world where the basics often get overshadowed. Pro tip, go early. This place gets busy although the line moves fairly quickly.

Yelp
The Cafe was very clean and friendly staff. We came on a Tuesday afternoon and it was still pretty busy. Highly recommend coming here if you are visiting Boston. I got the signature scramble and Nutella Croissant and they were both very good. The bonjour sauce they have is a little spicy, but definitely enjoyable. The food also came out within 10 minutes of ordering. Space is limited so don't be surprised if it takes a couple minutes to find a place to sit. Great location in the city as well.

Yelp
Friendly staff. Small place, definitely gets crowded on the weekends. We ate here on a Tuesday around 11am and had no wait at all. The food also came out quickly. Lots of options to choose from!
