A great little find! Amazing coffee and food with the cool sounds of the 80’s playing at a perfect level. One of my favorites in Dallas. Rad employees and atmosphere 💚

Google
If you’re looking for a hearty breakfast, this is your place. Tons of coffee flavors that taste like a slow weekend morning, awesome diner food that hits the spot. Fun art on the walls and funky art vibe.

Google
Absolutely in love with this place. Love the artwork and greenery - it's just relaxing yet creative at the same time. They have an awesome coffee bar which was FANTASTIC! So many great menu options! I ordered french toast and it was probably the best I've ever had. Unique spin on it with a crunched layer of walnuts - just perfect! Would HIGHLY recommend this place to EVERYONE. Great hours!

Me and my husband came here for breakfast. I got the banana bread French toast and chai latte, and he got the chicken bacon waffles along with frozen matcha. I would give ten stars if I could. Everything was amazing!! Our server was great too. I don’t remember his name but on the receipt it says C Justin. Definitely try this place out. We will be coming back next time we are in the area!!

Ok, I used to live in Dallas and enjoyed meals and coffee at several locations. This past week I was working in Dallas. The type of work on this project required us to work overnight. The location was centered between a few Cafe Brazil locations. We ate at the University Park location the first morning, we decided to try this one the second day. I will say the food and service was great, this particular location takes orders at the counter overnight until 7:00 AM, then they will take orders from the table. Other than that, everything was great. We did go back to the University Park location due to close proximity to the work site as this was a little further and downtown. Parking wasn’t an issue when we arrived but downtown was getting busy when we were leaving. Coworkers and myself enjoyed the food and service after several long nights of work. I am glad they got to try something local and different than some of the national chains that are open 24 hours and serve breakfast that seem to be microwaved. Good job Cafe Brazil!

Google
The food and people were great. We got there @ 8:30 am. on a Sunday. It was perfect timing for us as we were one of the first groups there. The food came out fast. I did have to send my plate back to get it heated up. The experience was great until we left and I visited the rest room. . Don't ruin your experience by doing that.

Google
Cafe Brazil is a nice breakfast/lunch spot, but there's nothing Brazilian about it at all. Regular American and some Mexican-inspired dishes. I got a sweet cream cold brew, and it was 90% cream and maybe 10% cold brew. Would not be my go-to place for coffee. The banana bread french toast I ordered was pretty good. The empanada was okay, but nothing special. A friend who ordered the same said that it reminded them of Taco Bell lol. (But hey, I like Taco Bell.) It's worth going if you're in the area, but I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way to eat there. Service was good, though, and it came out pretty quickly.

Google
Coffee bar is genius! We had the chicken bacon waffles and Mexican omelette.

Grisel A.

Yelp
The service amazing The food was good nothing I would have to order as a must but good breakfast food. The iced coffee was so good. The staff was so helpful.

Nivedita V.

Yelp
A really good place with its own vibe, pretty affordable! The staff were kind and super helpful. Food was pretty decent here

Chris C.

Yelp
The service was great. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the food came out quickly. Plus, the prices were reasonable, which is always a bonus. If you're looking for a casual spot with awesome chicken and waffles, Cafe Brazil is the place to be!

Chris E.

Yelp
My wife and I used to eat all the time at Cafe Brazil 25 years ago. We loved the breakfast. So we were in town and decided, "Got to try it again!" You know how sometimes nostalgia leaves you let down and it's not as good as you remembered it? NOT SO WITH CAFE BRAZIL!! Just as good as we remembered!! The French toast was !! Got the western omelette. !!! So love this place!!

Yelp
Just think about it it's very homely very very cool. Lots of Art outdoor seating. Lets see how The food taste.

Yelp
So I've been to a few different locations but the outcome still seems to be the same, not good. We walked in and the waitress was at the bar area eating her meal. She greeted us and told us to sit anywhere that we liked. Then we waited and waited for someone to assist us . . . We were the only people in the place (I should have known better). During the wait, I go to get coffee. The first two coffees I attempted are empty. I flag down a staff member and mention this to her and she proceeds to make a new batch of coffee. I go take a seat and we are still waiting for someone to come help us. She finally comes over and I had to request a menu and we put in our drink orders. She comes back with the drinks and we order our food. Now I go back for the coffee and still NO COFFEE - I see it has been brewed so I call another staff member to please sit it out so I can get some coffee. Sadly, the coffee isn't what I remember being so great about this place. We get our food and as much as I love crepes, these ain't it. Crepes are thin and light, these are thick and chewy. I was excited to share my crepes with my niece as she has never had them before but I had to tell her not to eat those as you don't want to start your food experience on a bad note. My niece didn't request tomatoes in her omelet, it was filled with tomatoes. The waffle lacked flavor . . . It was just disappointing. Overall I think that my memories of this place is what made me come back but I think this place will sadly become part of the memory as well.

Yelp
I've been a fan of Cafe Brazil for quite some time now. I took my son here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch along with my dog. We sat out on the patio and our waiter was very tentative to us. Coffee is always great, and this place is one of my faves for crepes. I really enjoyed sitting outside and people watching and listening to the music from neighboring establishments.

Nick J.

Yelp
Not as great as it used to be but still ok. I think the space could use a remodel/refresh. A lady on the patio was smoking a cigarette while we were eating which was a bummer. I didn't think you could smoke in food establishments even on the patio? Service was good.

Kevin H.

Yelp
Honestly this hurts my heart. This use to be my go to spot in college but has gone down hill. I had the bacon chicken and waffles today with fries . Only thing edible was the chicken and the eggs. The fries were soggy bacon half cooked and the waffles were also soggy. Even the syrup was runny and had a funny taste to it. 22 bucks wasted. The service is ok but I'm pretty sure they hire people with past substance abuse problems which I can tell from the conversations they have with each other in front of customers. The vibe is typical DE all walks of life mingling together. That part is still awesome but man they gotta whip those cooks into shape

Patty G.

Yelp
All the food we ordered was amazing. We received the best customer service and it was such a nice place. I love the location of it. The music was also very nice and the ambiance was perfect for what we were looking for. The waiter was nice and in it ig and gave great suggestions on what to do while visiting.

Yelp
Horrible service ordered Horrible service if you go late. We went after a conference and ordered a full meal, and after our table finished and we got up 3 times to ask about our food and 30 minutes later. we got this, and then cold pancakes. They forgot our order. Very disappointing

Javon E.

Yelp
It gets an extra star for being one the only places open late, but unless you are THAT starving please do not come here. The service is abysmal, and the lady working the front smelt like a mixture of BO & cigarettes. The food was below par, and I'd give this place 3 stars if it were cheaper than it was.

Craig F.

Yelp
Not too crowded on my very first visit!! Gotta love the Banana Bread French Toast!! Friendly waitstaff, too!!

Bob B.

Yelp
Street tacos delicious I recommend the chicken Breakfast tacos has pancakes as tortillas Not much to look at. A great hole in the wall. This place is a local hangout I never would have found if not for a recommendation from my friend. There was a huge selection of dessert and so many breakfast options to try. When I am back in town, I plan to try out this location on my next visit.

Quinn c.

Yelp
FOOD POISONING Writing this as I eat. A sausage cheese and bell peppers omelette with hash browns on the side. I've seen roadkill more appetizing than what they brought out. A true Frankenstein style breakfast. I would've rather sucked off a homeless man outside of this place than eat this food but unfortunately I paid $20 for it and I hate a waste. Just goto whataburger before you get sick.

Yelp
Cute cafe in Deep Ellum. I visited on a Tuesday afternoon for a lunch with a friend. Most restaurants were closed at this time of day in Deep Ellum, but we ran into Cafe Brazil and there was only us and one other person at this time. Very chill, cool colorful decor and an impressive coffee display. We started a cup of coffee, there's a cute self-serve setup with 5 different kinds to choose from and all the fixings. We also ordered the southwest egg rolls to start. They are made to order so they came out very hot and they are huge- it took me about 5 bites to finish one. It comes with avocado ranch and sour cream, I really enjoyed the avocado ranch with them. Our server was super cool and very knowledgeable about the menu. A hot pick was the chicken waffle and bacon breakfast. It comes with all three of those things plus a hash browns casserole and over easy egg. I don't eat eggs and they were cool with making it without the egg. The chicken fingers were lightly battered and seasoned perfectly. The waffle was nice and crunchy with a fluffy inside that soaked up the syrup. The casserole was was nice and cheesy and the bacon was the cherry on top. I really enjoyed everything and it was really intimate and quite. My only feedback would be the flies- we sat by the window and the flies were going a little crazy and it slightly disturbing.

Raizza S.

Yelp
Great service from Caleb and the crew. Came to study and staff was accommodating. Highly recommend to eat and enjoy all the vibes.

Nathaniel P.

Yelp
Trashhhhhhhhhhhh experience! My food was cold and the service was subpar at best! The layout of the establishment had my expectations high!

ShaDaria A.

Yelp
Staff is completely incompetent. Completely forgot my tortilla soup and I ordered the Mexican omelette and ended up with a chicken fried steak. Those two things are nothing alike. I guess you can't expect anything in deep ellum to be decent anymore. I assume everyone working in here is just as drunk as the people walking the streets of deep ellum. Don't order food delivery service from this Cafe brazil. They don't answer the phone either. Trash. Absolute trash.

Audrey B.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! They have amazing food & great coffee! I always get the breakfast pancakes tacos. They are consistently so good. I've gotten several of my friends completely hooked on them. The only reason I put 4/5 stars is because every time I go, I don't get the best service. They always take so long to order and for the food to come out in a timely manner. Even at different locations I have experience this at many different times of day. So if you want great breakfast at a leisurely time 24/hours a day, I highly recommend this place!

Sejal S.

Yelp
I loved my breakfast order from this place that I ordered through doordash. I ordered Hashbrown casserole & banana bread french toast, along with hazelnut latte. I loved the french toast as I am a banana-bread lover. The flavors were perfectly balanced. It also had fresh cut bananas and strawberries that tasted good. The hashbrown casserole was good but I was expecting them to send side salt & pepper to enhance the flavor. The hazelnut latte was good too but had extra sugar in it. The food was good & worth the money. Would definitely try more dishes from this cafe.

Yelp
Just moved to Deep Ellum and was looking for a good breakfast place to try. Cafe Brazil had some pretty promising reviews and a great selection of food so we decided to try it out. Upon walking in we were greeted and instructed to sit anywhere we liked. After sitting for nearly 45 minutes all the other tables had been approached but ours so I decided to walk up to the counter and ask to order there they responded no and that they would be to our table shortly. A few minutes went by and a young man who was highly intoxicated came over to our table and attempted to take our order asking us to repeat what we were saying several times, it was at this point we realized this was not a place for us to eat and walked out of the restaurant. I do not know if it was just a bad day for the staff or if they were just busier than usual but I would not recommend going to this place ever again unless you'd like to waste your time. Hopefully they get a better look at who they're hiring and do better in the future.

Shana S.

Yelp
Chiristy was everything!!! Will definitely recommend will be returning lol love this place

Namena B.

Yelp
I've ordered breakfast from this restaurant and each time they have sent me the wrong order. I'm unsure what they have going wrong in their kitchen but something needs to change. It's also nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone when you call. Would not suggest ever eating here.

Julio A.

Yelp
Waiter was very nice but other than that, the food is terrible. Borderline disgusting, not only that but we waited over an hour for a food in an empty restaurant. That should've been the first sign to not step foot in here. Should've known but I'm visiting from Chicago

Christina L.

Yelp
Best coffee - and the temp is always spot on - you don't have to wait for it to cool down. Great coffee - big selection.

Nicole C.

Yelp
It's been a couple of years since I've been to Cafe Brazil. Usually the food is delicious and authentic. Unfortunately, it is not anymore. We ordered the chorizo empanada and Chilaquiles. The food came out quick but it was lukewarm. My tortillas had a bean and a blueberry stuck to it. Mind you my meal doesn't come with black beans nor fruit. The empanada was hard and cold inside. The Chilaquiles was soooo salty it was not edible. Our server was great but we didn't finish our dishes. We just paid and left.

Chandra J.

Yelp
I was so excited to go to Café Brazil after checking them out at the Morning After Brunch last month, but I was super disappointed in not only the food, but the service as well. After getting seated and checking out the diverse menu I was super excited to try the turkey Migas. Our waiter recommended it and the crepes that my friend got. I am not a huge coffee drinker, but the waiter insisted that I get a shot of espresso. The espresso was super strong and had a very bold profile, so I sipped it slow while waiting for our food. Our food was brought out fairly quickly, but it was cold. My friend and I thought that is may be possible because of the dishes we ordered? I was surprised that the eggs in my turkey Migas was cold. As I proceeded to eat I was surprised that the waiter recommended this as the Migas were not super flavorful. The potatoes and eggs were missing a lot of flavor and just overall did not taste good. It was the same for my friends crepes and bacon. They both were tasteless and cold. He does not like sending food back, so he just ate as much as he could, which was very little and stopped. With each bite I could tell he was so unhappy. Our waiter, who disappeared until the check appeared, was not very sympathetic when it came to our opinions about the food. His response was "well you know not to get that the next time then". I was expecting a helpful response, but not that. I definitely would not come here again just based on the customer service, but the food really needs improvement. Sorry Café Brazil.

Dan L.

Yelp
My family dropped by the Brazilian Cafe after Church and was near by so we decided to try it. The Cafe had there own parking and it was a bit crowded at this time as expected around Noon. There was a wide selection of food from crepes to lunch items and unique items like Taco Pancakes filled with fruit that I ordered. My Mom ordered a Club Sandwich and my wife ordered Chicken Quesadilla. We really liked the food and would recommend it.

Brad W.

Yelp
I love breakfast at Cafe Brazil in Deep Ellum! The vibe is welcoming and relaxed and the staff is friendly. The coffee is self-serve, and the variety is great. And then there are the Breakfast Relleno Crepes!! The flavors and textures of this dish are amazing. It is my favorite breakfast in Dallas. My friends often order the Chicken, Bacon, and Waffles and they tell me they are mind-blowing. Free parking until 10 am and always room in their parking lot is another plus for Deep Ellum dining. EAT HERE!!

Ethan M.

Yelp
This place is great! They have a delicious and unique vegan burger as well as some surely amazing vegan tacos for just $9.99! The burger was a house made black bean patty that didn't really hold together but it was kind of fun to try and figure out different ways to consume it. The whole grain roll and all the toppings were terrific as well. They serve breakfast/brunch 24 hours a day so that's awesome too. Love the super chill and cheerful vibe of this place. Our waiter was very helpful and even helped us to navigate the city. Overall it was an awesome meal and an even better experience!

Jacob W.

Yelp
Apparently, Cafe Brazil cares only about making sure you come in and spend money. They have Free Parking Cafe Brazil signs, with conveniently small lettering underneath stating "6A - 10". All cars there after 10am got boots put on their cars, which is $120 to get removed. Per Code Enforcement, the signage belongs to Cafe Brazil, and they refuse to change it for better awareness for their customers. Good to know, and now it's on to Yolk for breakfast from now on.

Darryl B.

Yelp
Excellent place to meet and make friends with guests and staff. The food was great with a Brazilian flare to it. Kudos to Stephanie who went out of her way to help me with some information about the surrounding area.

Brian L.

Yelp
Do NOT go here after placing my order and waiting 25+ minutes - no water (the simplest of beverage request), but people who shows Joe after me received their meals while I still was still waiting for a glass of water. When I voiced my complaints I was yelled at by the staff to "have a good night!" DO NOT GO HERE!

Blake F.

Yelp
Worst sweet tea of all time. Cafe had a vibey atmosphere but took us an hour to even get our order taken. I had ordered a sweet tea and when It came out I took a sip to find it was unsweet. No big deal, I'll mix some sugar into it and itll be all good. But as I was mixing the sugar I found a long noodle in the bottom of my cup. Wtf so I take it back to get a new tea. They gave me a sweet tea next and it had definitely gotten old and gross but that's not the point. I'm leaving this review because after getting home I realized they don't even serve noodles. Wtf could have been in my drink??? If I find out I got tapeworm I'm suing dawg.

Rosalinda A.

Yelp
Slightly busy for Wednesday morning but ample parking. I like the Deep Ellum vibe. Green walls & some funky art on walls. Due to Covid no longer able to sample all coffees. Be prepared for coffee in styrofoam. Food was flavorful & plentiful. Yum! I had chorizo empanada & it was definitely worth the wait!

Najah J.

Yelp
I think this place is located in a great spot in Deep Elum for the after club bite to eat

Angel G.

Yelp
The food was of poor quality compared to the price. The waitress was very distracted and did not take down my order of french toast but i believe this is the restaurant's fault for being under staffed and only having one person taking orders and passing out food. Do not recommend at all

Sandra M.

Yelp
The food has got downhill since the first time I frequented. Also, I went at 5pm, food was not fresh.

Kasey T.

Yelp
Great vibe with free parking until 10 on Sundays. Don't let the outside deter from a great find. Great vibe with attentive staff like Sydney!!! Great recommendations and food. Loved it. Will visit again when I'm in Dallas. Everyone's choices had incredible flavor. The iced coffee was a great addition.

Bee D.

Yelp
Great service as always! I went in for coffee and pancakes to go! Although the pancakes were for a friend who changed her mind about them, I ended up eating them. They were delicious! I have never ordered pancakes here as I always go for the savory dishes. I was pleasantly surprised and will now order pancakes from Cafe Brazil.

Marie C.

Yelp
After sitting for an hour I never received my food. The people that were with me ordered at the same time and received their food however it was cold and the bread was hard. Once we complained she gave our money back no apology or any type of apologetic customer service. I will not go back

John P.

Yelp
Service is terrible! The people look sketchy, the food was not even cooked all the way plus it was cold! Never going there again. I literally threw my whole plate away. DO BETTER!

Liza S.

Yelp
Such a tasty meal! The chicken and waffles were the best thing- the chicken is breaded and fried there.

Anita G.

Yelp
This place is usually very good but I ordered from DoorDash on Saturday 2/25 and wasn't good at all. I preferred the grilled cheese with added tomato and avocado and sweet potato fries. I also ordered an iced Irish cream latte. The grilled cheese had very little cheese and no tomato and avocado. The pickle was mixed in with the fries so they were soggy. They also did not send the latte. The only positive was that the cheesecake was good. Very disappointing!

Monique M.

Yelp
We came here on a Friday night. We were seated fast and the service was really fast. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup and it was really good. They used mozzarella cheese and white chicken . They also had zucchini and tortillas chips in it as well as guacamole. Delicious and flavorful!!! I'd recommend this place if you want a simple meal.

Amal D.

Yelp
It's okay. I live at a walkable distance and just wanted a quick solo brunch meal before running errands. I got the chicken and waffles (it comes with bacon, swapped it out for turkey bacon since I don't eat pork - was honestly pleasantly surprised they had turkey bacon). It was average, nothing special. I felt like it was a bit overpriced. $13.99 for the chicken and waffles. Also the chicken to waffle ratio was a bit off. It comes with 4 large waffle quarters and 2 fried strip-like chicken pieces (tasted more oil than anything). Also, hate to say this but there were a few flies in the place constantly landing on everyon. I'll probably use this place as lazy hangover brunch food only.

Lifewith P.

Yelp
Always good OMG THE FRIED ICE CREAM !! And chicken and bacon and waffles. Don't hesitate to come and they 24hrs !!

Mallory Y.

Yelp
Finally got to experience Cafe Brazil for the first time a few weeks ago before a beer festival to get some good grub in. They are a 24/7 restaurant that focuses mostly on breakfast and brunch items, but also has salad and sandwich options as well. I had heard lots of great things about their crepes so I went with the chicken and spinach crepes. Our service was decent and we helped ourselves to the all you can drink coffee. My only complaint was that all the coffee I wanted was not being refilled and was not refilled at all while I was there so that was a bummer and felt like a waste of money. I really wanted the snickerdoodle and bourbon pecan blends. They must be pretty popular I am thinking. Everyone really enjoyed their food and it all came our relatively quickly. We were their around 11:30 on a Saturday and they definitely got more packed as the mid-morning rush left and the lunch rush came in. I am sure this place gets really busy in the evenings once the bars shut down. You can tell it is in the need of a little TLC, especially with the bathrooms. They were a little rough. But knowing that it is 24/7 kind of makes sense and it is in Deep Ellum. I will go back at some point for sure, but I am hoping to get better use of the all you can drink coffee!
