Cafe Brazil is a tiny, unassuming café — but don’t let its size fool you. The moment you take your first bite, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported straight to Brazil. The flavors are spot-on, and the food and drinks are absolutely amazing. What stood out most was the açaí — it tasted just like the ones I’ve had in São Paulo. Perfect texture, fresh ingredients, and full of that authentic Brazilian flavor that’s hard to find elsewhere. There’s nothing fancy about the space — no music or decorations — but the food speaks for itself. If you’re craving a genuine taste of Brazil, I definitely recommend stopping by.

It’s hard to pass up the opportunity to get a quick fix of Brazilian food! The coxinhas (chicken croquettes) here are so tasty - and they heat them for each order, so they come out piping hot! We also enjoyed an açaí bowl - the “white belt” adds the sweetness of banana and powdered milk without overpowering the flavor of the açaí. It’s all pricey, but where else can you get these in Kansas City area?

I love acai bowls, so I've had a lot of them, and this place has the best. Staff is also super friendly and fast!

The food overall was absolutely dreadful. I was so excited to try the pão de queijo, but I couldn’t even finish them because they just did not taste good. They tasted really chalky and were so salty. And I was so excited to try the chocolate lava cake. I immediately spit out the one piece I ate and threw the whole cake away. It definitely tasted prepackaged and was stale. What a huge let-down. The only thing redeemable from my meal was the chicken yucca pie. The prices felt like highway robbery given how massively disappointing the food actually is.

Our first visit was fabulous. The Brown Belt acai bowl and Brazilian cheese bread were delicious and the slight modification that was requested was done perfectly. The repeat visit didn't have the same success with the bowls but this place is a solid choice for a cafe with good coffee. Who knew almond butter is a fantastic compliment to the berries and coconut?!

Google
Cheese bread sandwich was amazing. Waffle Brazilian cheese bread is the best thing since sliced bread. Yuca pie with beef, was our favorite. Strawberry banana smoothie was delightful and the Hot Brazilian Mocha was sweet and creamy. We even grabbed Brazilian Bread to go. Highly recommend! Majority of menu is gluten free too!

Best acai bowls in KC. Great atmosphere in the same building as the gym. BJJ practitioners are the kindest, friendliest, and yet most dangerous people you'll ever meet.

Locally owned and operated. I received my order of beef shepherd's pie, truffle, and Brazilian mocha in less than 8 mins! The mocha was strong and made fresh. The beef shepherd's pie was hot from being re-heated. Shoutout to Felipe for the quick tour of the Brazil Academy and providing a brief history on capoeira.

Yelp
I will always comeback for the açaí, one of the best ones I had so far in KC. The food is always amazing and I also love the chocolate eggs, brigadeiros, and coxinhas. They are always a hit. Service is also so awesome, we always feel welcomed, please come try their goodies

Yelp
Literally just using frozen fruit and ice the smoothie was bland and overpriced. A meal for 15 the size of my hand too.

Yelp
Food was very tasty and authentic! Served quickly and was piping hot. Located inside a Brazilian martial arts center.

Yelp
If you want delicious Brazilian food this is the place to be. I come here almost every weekend to satisfy my Brazilian food craving. My favorite is Feijoada and coxinhas. Its a great atmosphere and has tons of events to take part in. I enjoy the great staff and people who come by.

Yelp
A hidden jewel in an otherwise featureless light industrial park. Their yuca purée with beef (similar to a shepherds pie) was excellent for lunch. Looking forward to returning on a Saturday for their Feijoada.

Yelp
This is my favorite Brazilian place in the Kansas/Missouri region. It's a lovely place with extremely delicious, freshly cooked, authentic food. I am Brazilian and have been to every Brazilian cafe/restaurant around here and this is by far my favorite. They also frequently have live music! This is a lovely, clean, warm, and welcoming place! Her cakes are also extremely delicious. I had Lola, the owner, make my wedding cake after I took my (American) husband to try some Brazilian cuisine and he LOVED IT! She did a WONDERFUL job with both the delightful flavor and with the decoration. Her cake was an absolute success at my wedding!! Multiple people (staff included) requested Lola's information after having her cake! It was mind blowing!

Yelp
Service was good, this açaí bowl was delish, thought it would be a little larger like the pictures on their online menu but it will do. Ingredients were fresh and the customer service was good.

Yelp
Walked in and wasn't even greeted, I had to address the guy at the counter even after that he said nothing not even a smile. Grabbed our food and went home to find I did not receive one of the sandwiches I paid for. Wish my experience was better

Yelp
Cute hole in the wall I found while looking for a place to grab coffee and work on the laptop. I was a bit hesitant upon arrival since it's located in an industrial area. The cafe's located inside Brazil Academy, a gym for jiu jitsu, etc. I was greeted by the lady who makes all the food and desserts and she is so nice!! You can definitely feel the pride she has in all the food she offers. I ended up getting some espresso and a shepherds pie with chicken and she even threw in a cheese ball for me! I'll definitely be back on a Saturday to try the main course!

Yelp
Cafe Brazil is located inside of Brazil Academy, its a GYM so don't go there thinking you are going to a "traditional" cafe. My favorites from this place are the Saturday Feijoada special and bridageiro!

Yelp
I love Cafe Brazil! It's located in the Brazil Academy. They have wonderful Brazilian food! Every Saturday she has a traditional meal with pork, sausage, rice & beans with greens. So good. I LOVE the coffee & Brazilian cheese bread! But, the best thing is the desserts! The chocolate cake is to Die For! AND it's all homemade by Lola!!!

Yelp
What a fun cultural experience! The food was delicious, the people were warm and welcoming (not to mention helpful). We ate from the buffet full of traditional Brazilian fare. The chicken was delicious as was the chocolate bonbon covered in chocolate sprinkles. Be sure and have a cup of Brazilian coffee with dessert.
