My wife and I went to Cafe Buenos Aires for our wedding anniversary, and it was one of the best dinners and best restaurant service experiences we’ve ever had. The owner, Hugo, was very nice, kind, and funny — he made us feel at home and treated us like family. The servers were just as kind and attentive. We ordered a bunch of tapas, and to name just a few: the octopus, the paella, and the beef empanada — everything was rich with flavor and beautifully prepared. Each bite felt like a celebration. The ambiance was cozy and charming, perfect for a special night out. We left feeling full, happy, and genuinely cared for. This place is a gem, and we can’t wait to come back. Thank you to Hugo and the whole team for making our anniversary so memorable!!!!! We will be back!

Excellent ambience and service, nice decor inside. Food was delicious. Ordered the grilled octopus to start and mixed meat plate for 2. Will definitely be coming again.

The restaurant was very nice inside and had a lot of seating. The staff was very kind between me waiting for my party and sitting. The waiters was also great and checked on us often. I was here for a work dinner, so we ordered many things to try. To start we ordered a white and red sangira. I only had the red and it was good, but I do prefer mine sweeter than this, as I am not a fan of wine in general. For our tapas I tried the dates, octopus-pulpo, carne skewer, and calamares fritos. The dates were very good, with a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and savory. The octopus was cooked perfectly and seasoned amazingly. The carne skewer was very tender, but I do want to note that the bacon is not crispy, as it is baked on the skewer, which I surprisingly loved. The calamari was also perfectly cooked and came with a great sauce. For my entree, I had the gnocchi. It was also perfectly cooked and the ingredients contrasted each other amazingly. The sauce was very light and creamy, the goat cheese added the perfect creaminess and tang, the mushrooms added some earthy flavors, and the shirtrib added some fat and protein. The dinner portion was large enough for me to take half of it home. For dessert I shared the crepe. If you like sweets and caramel this is perfect for you. It's a crepe filled with dulce de leche with a couple slices of caramelized banana and vanilla ice cream on the side. Overall the food and service was great, so I will be coming again with family.

Unfortunately the $58 steak special was not cooked properly to medium rare, arrived lukewarm and was a poor cut. More than 1/3 of the steak was stringy, riddled with tendons or otherwise inedible. The service was stupendous and attentive, the atmosphere was inviting. The empanadas were good, the gnocchi was good. My friends flap steak was great but a small portion for $40.

Amazing!!! From start to finish. Will be coming back. The service was exceptional, the wait staff was on point. The food was amazing. So delicious, every course. Our server ‘Keyana’ was extremely polite and checked on us throughout the meal. She was the best part of the experience. The owner even made sure things were good. I would highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back. Keep up the great cooking and pleasant wait staff. 5 stars, all the way!!!

Google
Food really stands out here. The waitress said the Paella is one of the best things on the menu. We thought it was so worth it. Our waitress, Isabel, was friendly and on point all evening. I gave atmosphere 4 stars as this has been a busy neighborhood staple for years, and it kinda shows. Don't let that stop you tho, experience was so enjoyable.

Yelp
Cafe Buenos Aires had good service, and a lovely setup for outdoor dining on a pleasant evening. The menu has a nice range of appetizer and entree options, and they serve up quite a few wines and cocktails too. But I'll be honest, my meal fell a bit flat. I got the flap steak medium rare. The temperature was wrong (it came out closer to medium well), and the sides were disappointing. The mashed potatoes were the right texture, and the sautéed veggies looked good on the plate, but both seriously lacked any seasoning. They were so bland, the only part of the meal that had any flavor was the bleu cheese on top of the steak. Everything else was plain. Overall, I was expecting a bit more for an Argentinian place on the pricier side. It was fine, just not a meal that stood out to me.

Ronald L.

Yelp
Was here with the family and we ordered the Almejas, Stuffed Clams, and Pork Belly (special) for appetizers. While for our entrees we ordered the Skirt Steak and Mixed Grill for 2. All 3 appetizers were delicious, especially the pork belly. It had a texture of butter, and the polenta too melted in my mouth. The Skirt Steak and its accompanying roasted vegetables were wonderful, as was the tomato salad it came with. Though the tomato used was underripe, it was still enjoyable. As for the mixed grill, every piece of meat well overcame my expectations, save for the beef rib. Unfortunately while incredibly flavorful, it was so chewy to the point of almost being inedible. This aspect and the fries being a bit undercooked is what's keeping my review from reaching a 5. The service and ambience otherwise was all perfect and I would ask nothing more of them.

Yelp
This restaurant has been around a long time and for good reason. I have been coming here for many years. The food is always excellent with daily specials that add to the excellent selection. The staff is always circling and checking on you. The place is spacious allowing it not to be too loud even with a good amount of people. I love the tapas way of eating giving you a myriad of different foods throughout your meal.

Yelp
We took my daughter here for her birthday and whoever the chef is he or she knows what they are doing. I. Had the Octopus -Pulpo which is grilled octopus with white beans and potatoes that was melt in your mouth tender. 1 Ropa Vieja (braised beef hash) A++ 2 Gambas Alajillo (sauteed shrimp and garlic sauce) A 3 Ostras (oysters Rockefeller) A+ 4 grilled octopus with white beans) A I'm not going to leave out our waitress Samantha who was outstanding.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to dine in Huntington Village. My wife and I have been coming here since 2009 and it has never let us down. I don't get a craving for steak that often, but when I do, one of my favorite meals is their vacio asado (flap steak), perfectly cooked medium rare with blue cheese, Malbec reduction, mushrooms, peppers and onions, and mashed potatoes, washed down with more Malbec of course. You must try it! Other winning dishes I've had over the years include the ribeye special (for our anniversary dinner a few years back), the paella and seafood special, figs in Serrano, garlic shrimp, canelones, etc. I recently tried the almejas (clams with chorizo); a couple were a bit too chewy but the flavor and broth were amazing. For cocktails, I have enjoyed their caipirinha and sangria, and they make a great pisco sour, but really, what you want to drink here is the Malbec, which goes perfectly with the food. Sometimes we come here just to sit at the bar and sip some Malbecs.

Jamie J.

Yelp
We have visited a few times and it is always consistent, friendly and accommodating staff and food was delicious! Clean and well kept atmosphere. Must try!

R C.

Yelp
3rd time here - once was lunch sat outside - the food is very flavorful- love the atmosphere and servers staff very attentive-

Michele D.

Yelp
We ordered some vegetarian foods and I have to say we were surprised to find chorizo sausage in/on the veggie flatbread. My friend cannot eat any meats and we saw the chorizo before she ate. That said the other entrees we had were delicious and the wine good. Service was slow but the place is crowded and only a couple servers. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We will continue to come back.

Yelp
This place is Amazing. Everything we ate from seafood salad, paella, steaks and grilled octopus was unbelievable GOOD! We ate everything and not one thing I have to say that wasn't good! Definitely try this place out! Great food, fast service, and staff was very nice. Owner came to check on us made sure we were doing ok. Love these type of restaurants! You can tell they care about their customers and want to make sure they're enjoying their food and having a good time! Can't wait to go back!!

Jovan N.

Yelp
Food short rib was amazing! Watched soccer final Game Argentina vs Colombia at the bar. bartender made me mixed drink and sangria are pretty strong. Fun environment to watch games.

Yelp
2021 / 2022 : Sign on door READ : "MUST SHOW VACCINE CARD" . Do you feel foolish now ? Do you feel tricked ? Never going back here . P.S. Fairly expensive for what it is.

Yelp
Ill start by saying this is a 3.5 star review. (I'll probably be tarred and feathered just for saying that considering all the overly positive reviews here) which is shocking to me. I chose to come here because of extensive list of tapas and apps. Plus the overwhelming amount of positive reviews. I'm very confused about what all the hype is about though, because we left here feeling very underwhelmed. -Calamari 3/5: It was okay. They were all rings which I personally love, but the overall texture and flavor were "meh". Bland and on the soggy side. The chipotle aioli is what really sold me but this ended up being what I think is something out of a kraft squeeze bottle into a side dish. -Empanadas 2/5: I ordered these with an image of a more tradition empanada in my head, but these were tiny, and in a sweet crepe like crust. At $5 each these are very overpriced for what you get. Also worth mentioning was we ordered a cheese only empanada (since we've been trying to cut meat out) and after a few bites realized there was ham in it. Our waiter should've told us it had meat in it. The shrimp empanada was forgetful and not something I'd recommend. -Cannelloni 3/5: When we got this it looked good, but after cutting into it the dish pretty much turned into a mush of cheese, and sauce. The sauce resembled a vodka sauce more than tomato but I'm no chef so can't be sure. It was good, just had no idea what you were eating. Overall, after writing this review I feel like a food snob, but I'm the furthest thing from it. Between the google reviews and yelp reviews I feel like I'm missing something here. It's possible that the meat dishes are phenomenal and we just didn't have any of them. But our experience was subpar. The staff were friendly, the dining area was a nice size compared to many of the tiny restaurants in town, but the food and drinks were just a bit of a letdown.

Christina J.

Yelp
Sweetbreads! So hard to find but when you do you hope they taste like this! Had a Groupon. Well worth the money. Son & I came here on a Sunday around 3pm. We were the only customers so the service was awesome. Vodka tonics were on point also. The small plates were all delicious but the standout for me was the sweetbreads! So tender and sooo flavorful! The best I've had out in a restaurant to date. The empanadas were all good. The mixed grill was a bit pricey for $72 but enough for several meals afterwards. The short ribs were my favorite. The lamb chops were a bit gamey. The black sausage was a little bland. But the steaks & grilled vegetables were outstanding. Definitely will be back! Visited on 12-1-2019

Yelp
We had good and hearty meal last night at Cafe Buenos Aires! The owner Hugo came over and talked to us for a long time about Buenos Aries since we will probably visit his hometown in March. Waitress was great and the food is excellent!! The seafood special has mussels, clams, filet of sole and calamari rings. The broth was tomato and coconut milk and had a lot of flavor without being overpowering. BF had seafood paella with mussels, calamari and rice. The sauce was delicious!! I love coming here!! 9/15/19 This is a great hangout for Huntington Village. Hugo wasn't here tonight so it wasn't a stellar plus the waiter wasn't as great as Chelsea but the food was delicious!! We had ceviche and octopus and they were both as good as ever and Bf had the paella with seafood. Sauvignon blanc was perfect too!! My only complaint is the waiter was wearing too much cologne. When you are working as a food server, lay off the perfume and cologne. It interferes with the food taste 11/27/19 Again the waiter was wearing a bottle of cologne and it DID interfere with the food. Where is Chelsea when I need her. . We ordered a red wine from Argentina and the kids and Bf enjoyed it. We had seafood paella, mussels, octopus, ceviche and the kids wanted sausage so they gobbled that up. It was a good dinner but not amazing like the first time.

Yelp
It pains me when I have to give a restaurant a low rating. We arrived at 6:30 as always parking was insane in Huntington. They didn't have any tables available so we were given one by the bar a pretty small table but we took it. We had to keep our coats on as every time some came in or exited we were hit a blast of cold air. So small table plus coats for the entire evening so uncomfortable! It was restaurant week and it was a better option so we went with that. Appetizers Spinach Gnocchi- Tasty! Better than expected due to reviews. Just the right amount of truffle oil where it's overpowering. Gnocchi cooked perfectly. The cream sauce and shiitake mushrooms yum! Only let down was the baby scallops it's bread and fried and then place on top. It was so soggy! Beef and Chicken Empanadas- Also were tasty!!I preferred the chicken it was nice and juicy. The apps took 35 mins to come out! At that point they weren't too busy so I was surprised how long it took. Entrees Seafood Paella- Yikes the rice was wet but very hard. It hasn't been cooked all the way so it was hard, grainy and crunchy with each bite. Not good! Seafood that was over cooked! Just a big miss of a dish! Lemon white wine sole and shrimp with mashed potatoes- the combo didn't work for me but just a personal preference. The sauce on it was good but there wasn't much leaving the fish and mashed potatoes so dry! I asked for more on the side what I received was melted butter. I used my fiancées drink lemons to add some acid to it. Again, another dish that was a miss. Entrees Took an additional 40 mins to come out. Dessert Flan- absolutely a must! Delicious with a side of dulce de leche yum! Bread pudding with ice cream- this one fell flat. We are big bread pudding fans! It was very dry no sort of sauce on top but I assume that's why they serve it with ice cream. Drinks Red sangria- Yikes the reviews were way off! It tasted like bottled juice! No fruits inside definitely didn't taste homemade. All these great reviews made me think one of these two things- it was an off night or unfortunately these people haven't had a good sangria in their life! Hahaha! My fiancée ordered an unfamiliar cocktail that was made with the incorrect alcohol. Great service on this end they changed it quickly and also noticed he was unhappy with it and came back with another on the house which tasted much better! Our server was sweet but definitely inexperienced which is fine but she could've used some help. Some hits but way more misses. Perhaps an off night ? I mean they have all these stellar reviews?! Overall, I won't be back left pretty dissatisfied.

Yelp
Came here a month ago food was delicious and owner bought me and my girlfriend a round of drinks. He was also really nice

Korbinn L.

Yelp
I went with a friend Friday night. It was pretty busy but got sat right away. I had the white sangria and pistachio crusted pork chop. The service was great. Our food was delicious and the Nutella empanadas that was recommended by our server were so good! Either the owner or the general manager took the time to talk to us and made sure we were enjoying everything. If you want a cute night out in Huntington this is your spot.

Mike S.

Yelp
Really great food. Had the cerviche and tuna carpaccio at the bar. Both were delicious. Had a wonder malbec, and the bartender was great. It is a beautiful bar and a nice-looking restaurant.

Lee M.

Yelp
Exceeded expectations on a mild weekday evening. Lisa E. and I grabbed a sidewalk table. Perhaps an inconvenience for our waitstaff on a Monday evening, service however excelled. My 5 o'clock somewhere began with a well made bourbon cocktail. Well balanced, refreshing with citrus and mint. Crusty bread with a verdant dipping sauce kept the hunger pangs at bay while we caught up on each other's day. Lisa E. opted for tapas for dinner, stuffed dates and a small seafood paella. I was drawn to the costeleta de corda (roasted pork chop), some of my favorite ingredients in the description, pistachio, figs, bacon, asparagus. Took a chance and agreed to medium doneness, as the chef suggested. No worries...... a nice exterior crust, tender moist flavorful interior. The port wine demi a perfect addition to each bite. As good as the chop was, there was something really special about the side dish. A slice of a casserole of roasted potato, bacon, onion, and fig. First bite, all the flavors melding together, a silky satisfying mouthful. Going out less and less due to circumstances, it's so nice when everything (setting, service, meal, companion) falls into place to make a memorable experience.

Yelp
As a birthday treat last night , 2/25/'24 . I came here with my son for our second visit , after a 10-12 yeas absence . We did an owl watch at Target Rock and this cafe , being right off West Neck Road , with ample public parking , was a perfect choice . The 3.9 star rating here is very understandable , because Buenos Aires is definitely not a 5 star restaurant ..... That being said , what it gets right is exceptional . My shrimp Empadas were certainly exceptional , a flavorful chopped mix in a fluffy crout . The Chorizzo sampler , Albondiugas ( meatballs ) were given a thumbs up by my son and he regarded the Churros as clearly the best he had ever tasted . Although seating is a little too close for comfort ( understandable when trying to maximize with high rent in a relatively small space ) , the decor and layout is beautifully eye catching . Likewise , the tiny lavatory is immaculate and fairly well designed . Our main server , Douglas , answered questions thoroughly and courteously ( and willingly took two perfect photos of us ). Water was served in sanitary long stemmed goblets as it always should be and often is not , by a very attentive young server..... So , what went wrong ? Although we had a reservation , our greeting was somewhat perfunctory , with no effort made to provide a choice of the 3 or 4 two seat tables available . While my Piquillu ( stuffed red pepper ) was delicious , I had to cough up what appeared to be a large seed ; trimming a small pepper should not be an issue . The fresh bread served had a thick , hard crust for a very narrow loaf . Finally , my Flan contained two potentially tooth chipping pieces of VERY HARD crystalized sugar ..... And if a Hispanic restaurant can't get Flan right , you do have a problem ........ Finally , the bill . There was a switch at the start of our visit from a young , inexperienced server to our veteran who could answer our questions , but one unavailable item remained on the bill , Veal Sweetbread for $24 . Luckily , I caught it ! ..... My son , Francis , will return with a lady one day , and I will stop by this summer for more Empadas and the unavailable Veal Sweetbread after another woodland hike , but we will be wary ( and no deserts for me ! ) !

Yelp
Food...delish! Service...extraordinary! Ambiance...great space! On the whole a really relaxing time.

Yelp
Had a solid meal here on Sunday. We shared empanadas and grilled octopus for appetizers. Entrees were skirt steak for me and my wife got the sole and shrimp. We both had mojitos as well. Highest reviews for the skirt steak (a little thicker than normal and very juicy although slightly undercooked for what I asked for) and the grilled octopus. Mojitos were tasty and a good size. Other items above average. On the downside, we had a baby with us so having slow service made us choose to skip dessert. And our server didn't tell us about the specials of the day. No parking lot but plenty of street parking available. Many spaces are metered. Reservations can be made thru OpenTable and are usually needed during peak times.

Sheila D.

Yelp
We have been here several times throughout the years and it never disappoints! Great food and service and the owner is always so friendly and accommodating.

Gina D.

Yelp
If you ask my son to review Cafe Bruno's Aires it's a 10/10 every time. The tapas is so delicious! We have never had a bad meal here! Hugo the owner makes us feel like family! Event when we are not eating here my son has to go say hi! The cookies they have are so good as well like caramel inside shortbread coated in the finest coconut pieces! Omg I'm drooling writing this.

Bri B.

Yelp
My Dad and sister took me out to lunch here for my Birthday. Omg the chef in this place on August 7th was incredible. I wanted to meet this chef in person. Every single meal was incredible. I can't express my impression of this outstanding chef who cooked every meal to the tee. No words can describe how amazed and impressed I was at this chef and the bartender. The drinks! Which I can only handle two margaritas were perfect. This is going to be one of our go to all the time. They are at the top of my dining out list. I wanted to get the chefs name but waitress didn't know and I left without knowing. So if you know the chef name please let me know so I could thank him / her for such a delicious meal. I thank my dad and my sister for bringing me to this outstanding restaurant. My birthday was wonderful. Thank again to my dad Donald J and my sister Christina J I love you both so much. This lunch made my day and I'm still raving about it.

Lisa E.

Yelp
Enjoyed our dinner here very much..not necessarily the ambiance that calls to me, or would bring me back, but the food and service were excellent. We were 4 adults and a child and ordered a ton of food, so took a lot home. Lee had a great Bourbon cocktail and we ordered a pitcher of red sangria with fruit (34 dollars) and left a good 1/4 of it. (I had none or obviously none would be left, the reason that I stopped drinking) Most memorable would be the Dates..plump, sweet and very different..stuffed with provolone cheese and wrapped in bacon. This didn't sound as exceptional as it was..order these ! And the Paella...this was so different from any that i have had before, the rice so rich and sticky..plenty of seafood. The tapas size was generous enough for 3 to enjoy. Clams, Mussels, Shrimp and Calamari..yum The Octopus, with white beans and potatoes was also delicious. We had some Brussels Sprouts, which were not our favorite. The mixed grill for 2, at 72 dollars was a big ticket item (with tax and tip comes out to almost 93 dollars) was really great and everyone enjoyed something different from the Sausage, lamb chops to the chicken and short ribs. Best of all were the crisp french fries that accompanied this feast. We ordered a half portion of the Gnocchi, which came in a rich roasted garlic butter sauce and had spinach and short ribs and mushrooms...it was fantastic and there was enough to mix with pasta the next day and create an entire new dish. Get this is it appeals to you. One small glitch was the 12 dollar bowl of pasta with butter for our 6 year old child..she took 2 bites and was finished. With a check for over 211 dollars, I personally would have left that off...but none the less, we would easily return for the Dates and Paella. We were understandably too full to have dessert or coffee (ya think ??)

Alice L.

Yelp
Sunday brunch menu came with sangria (yay)had lots of selections! went with the chicken paella (great flavor!) not sure if it was missing chorizo??? And the Trio the potato and chorizo was great, the egg and pancake was okay but the shrimp was uncooked (I couldn't eat it ) had placed it on a separate dish and spoke to the waiter- it can back on the same plate cooked but nuked (rubbery) ughhh. I wanted to like this place but was disappointed.

Thomas L.

Yelp
after the show in Northport we came a hour early for our reservations to Cafe Buenos Aires and were promptly seated!!! bravo. Selected because of some vegan items and a full complement of other great items. Turns out it is restaurant week. there were no acceptable items on that sheet and no substitutes allowed......so we went a la carte. (we had already viewed the restaurant online and knew what we wanted.) Our server Brit was FANTASTIC from the first word. conversant, yet highly efficient and made great suggestions. The bus staff were on the water like hawks and the table and silverware were cleared and cleaned promptly. I got the vegan Shishito Peppers for an appetizer and the Grilled Vegetable Tapas for my main. BOTH were fantastic. Tasty, properly cooked and beautifully presented and served. My date (spouse) got the Gampas Al Ajillo (saute shrimp) for an app and the Grilled vegetable salad with mushroom, peppers, zucchini, yellow squash, pepper, brie cheese and she put some steak on there as an extra. It was all very very good, served hot, and all timed nicely. Decor was very nice, all surfaces clean and organized. Very recommended.

Steven L.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! My cousin and I came here before a show at the Paramount. Every single thing we ate from the bread on the table to the last bite of food was incredible. The paella I ordered tasted like a warm hug. The seafood was so fresh. The shrimp empanadas were amazing as well. Our waitress was fantastic and helped make sure our food came out on time so we wouldn't miss the show. I will be coming back as soon as I can to try more items on the menu. Thank you so much for a great dinner!

Dr Louis J M.

Yelp
Excellent place - Authentic Argentine Steakhouse. Always a warm welcome from Hugo. Service is second to none. Food is classic Argentine - mixed grill is my favorite - selection of fine meats including short ribs, chorizo, sausage, strip steak and rack of lamb. Leave room, if you can, for dessert!

Deb P.

Yelp
We came here for my moms birthday! We had such a wonderful time. On Wednesday's there is a live tango band consisting of a pianist and an accordionist. We had requested seats by the music but unfortunately they were unable to accommodate us. The manager was really responsive and gave us a little app on the house that was amazing. I believe it was a fried scallop with some pastas. Which was really generous of him. I ordered the lamb, my brother ordered the chicken, my boyfriend ordered the skirt steak... alll amazing! the chicken was deboned and had a nice crispy skin on it. Needless to say we were all picking off each other's plates. Then there was the paella.. wow. Soft moist rice and more shellfish than any other paella I've ever eaten anywhere else. It was truly incredible and we will be back for more...

Elizabeth D.

Yelp
Unfortunately i have to give 0 star to this place, we ordered the appetizer and entrees at the same time and we waited an hour to get out appetizers then 40 more minutes for the entree, my boyfriend ordered a coke and he got it when he was almost done eating. Very nice waiter but the waiting time is WAY TOO LONG and on top of that we paid almost $68 dollars for two baby plate size definitely NOT coming back here.

Caroline L.

Yelp
We were back today for an impromptu date night and really enjoyed ourselves. It had been too long (when hubs and I were still dating...wow...). We went all in and got the Mixed Grill for two - Parrillada Mixta. They came and set up a side table for it!! (yes, we blindly ordered without scouring yelp first!!! We go on dates so rarely we've almost forgotten what to do!!! ) We were not expecting the whole grill they brought out filled with a delicious assortment of juicy, perfectly seasoned grilled deliciousness! I went right for the lamb and black sausage. The lamb was seasoned perfectly and oh so tender. Seriously good. The black sausage was huge and was really moist and flavorful. Not overpowering and actually mild with a bit of sweetness and really good. It's actually got a great flavor for beginners who have never tried blood sausage. I've grown up eating them in Europe (France, UK, Belgium) so it was nice having a good rendition of it. A better surprise was the owner Hugo stopping by to say hello and letting us know about another way to enjoy black sausage he had learned on one of his trips to Argentina!! He was so friendly and snazzily dressed! Thank you Hugo for the warm welcome and the black sausage suggestion. Cannot wait to try it on bread with some marmalade *yum* We will be back soon!! Next time I'll be sure to leave room for dessert

Came for brunch. $25.99 per person for food with 0 seasoning. I was better off going to a diner. My boyfriend had the Argentine toast and it looked as if he ordered it from a children's menu. I had the Huevos Frito and my eggs looked like they were super fried. Won't be back.

Yelp
I bookmarked Cafe Buenos Aires a while ago in hopes of eating here in the near future! I came here with a party of 5 girls around 2. I want my review to count as a 4.5, but I also plan to rewrite one for their brunch cause their brunch menu looks DELICIOUS (as does their dinner) They have a break from 3pm onwards and we were really shocked that they seated us and still gave us 5 star service. Service was awesome. Their cafe was delicious as well and I chugged 2 cups of it because of how creamy and smooth it was. We got a few items and most of them were great! RAVIOLI - Stuffed with shrimp and chorizo, roasted peppers, leeks, shiitake mushroom cream sauce Ravioli was good and filling. Its enough to feed two plus maybe a small plate GNOCCHI - Potato dumplings, braised short rib, goat cheese, spinach, mushroom and roasted garlic sauce Gnocchi was very creamy, and heavy. The short rib literally melts in your mouth, delicious! OCTOPUS - Pulpo with lightly spicy Peruvian potatoes It was well seasoned, a bit dry and interesting texture. I'm not an octopus person but my sister enjoyed it. Pretty filling and a nice big piece. FONDUE DE QUESOS CON CARNE* -Cheese fondue, steak, sausage The steak and Sausage and the Fondue was DELICIOUS. IT IS A MUST ORDER AND I WOULD COME BACK JUST FOR THIS. GET THIS. AMAZING CHEESE, but the cheese is liquidy. Chicken EMPANADA- not the best PATATAS BRAVAS Y CHORIZO - Peruvian Potatoes, chorizo, jalapenos, onions, bell peppers My cousin had this in Spain and would assume it was dry chorizo, and potatoes. it was more saucy and covered in the onions and peppers and super gravy like. Service, Coffee and Select Dishes were great! Can't wait to go back for Brunch and for Dinner!!

Yelp
I have been a long time fan of Buenos Aires. Hugo runs such a great restaurant - he's so kind and so accommodating. Obviously the tapas are phenomenal: the provoleta, all of the empanadas, the gnocchi with scallops, and most amazingly the bacon wrapped dates. I could eat just these as my dinner and be sooooo happy but let me continue on to the entrees. Definitely suggest the entrana and the chicken milanese. However, there's one entree I would eat every night if I could: the Chilean Sea Bass. It's a special and you have to call to see if they have it, but it is truly life changing. The sea bass itself is in some dope glaze and it's served with this couscous/grain/vegetable side that's amazing. The sangrias are also amazing - highly suggest if you wanna get turnt with your tapas.

Yelp
The service here is amazing! I came here twice and both times were a wonderful experience. Yes, there is a long wait for food but everything is cooked to order and if you order a paella, that takes some time to cook. I like the tapas but it's a bit pricey for little food. Regardless, the food is delicious. The rice in the paella was not well done when I ordered it but since the bowl was boiling, it eventually cooked itself. The octopus was incredibly soft and did not taste fishy. The calamari are the best I've had in Huntington! It's a must try with the aioli

Yelp
Great place for Argentinian food on Long Island. We've been coming here for years. The owner Hugo has been trying to introduce more Porterño fares, but is sometimes frustrated by misunderstanding of traditional Argentine food by locals. I remember loving matambre when I lived in Argentina, and mentioned this to Hugo one time. He said he had tried but many customers complained that the meat came out cold. Yeah, this was a cold cut. But how do you explain that to Americans? We left our number with Hugo, and he called us back when he made matambre. Wow. It was simply great. We ordered it in two ways. 1. Cold cut the traditional way. See picture of a half-eaten one. And then 2. we tried the hot version Hugo was experimenting with. Hot was also great. But the assembled matambre easily crumples, so presentation would not be optimal. In any case, the special menu called it stuffed veal. Highly recommended when available.

Yelp
I have been to this restaurant many times and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Not anymore. I've been there twice and found the service exceedingly slow. I did not order appetizers and was told that was the reason my meal came out so late. That made no sense at all. The food itself was fair. I ordered lemon sole. Portion was small and the sauce was very salty and overbearing and received the wrong side dish. I do not plan to return.

Yelp
Love this restaurant! I haven't been here in a while but it's still a favorite. From the unique tapas menu and delicious entrees we love it. My boyfriend and I came here for a date night and we had such an enjoyable experience. We started with the chicken empanadas and the meat and cheese board. I love the empanadas so good. For our entrees we got the skirt steak and the blue cheese hanger steak. I loved my skirt steak so flavorful and tender. Everything was cooked to perfection we have zero complaints. Such a good place in Huntington and I highly recommend it.

Yelp
We only ordered tapas last night. We initially split a meat and cheese board, and ropa vieja. Both were delicious. I had the tapas portion of the paella which was plenty! It was so good. Next time I may skip the tapas and just order an entree portion because it is so good and filling. My husband had patatas barvas y chorizo. He enjoyed it very much. We split a flan for dessert that was very light. Drinks were wonderful as well. We'll be back again

Yelp
We were walking around downtown and stumbled upon this place. We were all hungry and love Argentinian food so we decided to give this place a try. What we ordered: my friend ordered the falafel burger. It looked kind of sad. The food does not come with side options so it was $10 for a small falafel burger with nothing else. I split a sampler with someone. It came with 5 things and most of them were very good! I especially liked the meatball and there was this spinach and artichoke dish that was amazing! We also ordered the ceviche. I was pretty disappointed. The fish was still in pretty big chunks and the flavor was below average. I would not order that again. Overall it was an okay experience, but I probably wouldn't go back if given the option.

Yelp
Place was pretty quiet and empty but we were there on a Sunday afternoon for a family gathering we all decided to try Argentinean cuisine we have gotten so many recommendations that we decided it's time, after a quick observation of the menu and decor I was pretty confused the decor flamenco dancers paintings and the menu offering paella and tapas?? which is not Argentinean original, we muttered to ourselves they must really love our country, but who doesn't? We ordered the octopus as an appetizer I must say that the flavors were delicious I was dumbfounded so we got excited for our entrees, we wanted Argentinean cuisine so we ordered the 2 parilladas since that's what Argentina is big on, some sort of Cobb salad and of course is a must try their version of paella, Parillada was subpar nothing extraordinary the meat was perfectly cooked but having a lot of experience in the industry I must say the steak was not fresh, the sausages were bland no flavor what's so ever, Cobb salad was pretty good it had apples nuts arugula it just needed a better vinaigrette but I love salads so no complaints Their version of Paella was definitely Not paella it was more of a soupy rice very mushy not enough saffron or flavor and they probably used regular rice and if not they overcooked it. It also was loaded with peas and which is not an ingredient we use in Spain for our paella's Overall the service was very attentive and friendly I forgot our servers name but she was a beautiful blonde with blue eyes who spoke a bit of Spanish We will return to try other dishes and because of the service and I will update this review when so. I gave it a 4 stars for the service and the octopus

Yelp
Excellent service. Food is always amazing. I love that they have a tapas menu and a full menu as well.

Yelp
Enjoyed a nice dinner Cafe Buenos Aires. I ordered the chicken and beef empanadas for app and liked the beef more so. The chicken one was ehhh. My husband had he mussels which he said were very tasty. For our entrees I chose the Grilled Top Sirloin steak with sliced vegetables, roasted potatoes in a mushroom sauce which was prepared very nicely and definitely a good pick. The portion was plentiful, so I couldn't finish it and took the rest to go. My husband ordered The paella which was delicious as well. We enjoyed the warm bread pudding with raisin and vanilla ice cream on the side which made for a happy ending! Looking forward to coming back for another great meal.

Yelp
Situated in the heart of Huntington a bite at Buenos Aires is a must try. On a nice day, sitting in their offered outside area is a dream. Great tapas at Cafe Buenos Aires for my first visit. A bit of an expense but also to be a bit expected, you will be sure to find something you'll love. I made sure to come back as the nicer weather started up but the outside seating was taken, to my surprise it was for the best; they shoved us in a corner and handed us a bit of a lunch menu, nothing seemed too appealing for the price. We ordered and were entertained by some dancers while we waited, pretty cool (wish they were younger haha) The churros and ice cream were about the best thing they've got it seems, so maybe skip this place as after trying it again, it's been downgraded in my book. The lunch that day wasn't worth it and the service certainly doesn't beckon me.

Yelp
It has been years since I've dined here. This place has always had a special place in my heart - I got engaged in Argentina, after my then-boyfriend took my dad here to ask for permission. But, all that aside, the food is also excellent, and we were happy to be back again. We chose to do tapas for a party of four, which included the following: Solomillo (Angus, portobello, brie) Garbanzos con Longazina (chickpeas and spicy sausage, I would love this recipe, wow) Octopus Almejas (clams and chorizo) Albondigas (meatballs) Empanadas (one beef, one shrimp) Brussels Sprouts Veal Sweetbread Shishito Peppers Ceviche de Marisco (shrimp and calamari) Tuna Carpaccio It was nice to have a mix of traditional Argentinian dishes along with non-conventional items like tuna carpaccio and shishito peppers. We also chose to bring a bottle of tempranillo from home, as their corkage fee of $20 was reasonable. We had a lovely waitress and were seated right on time for our 5:30pm reservation on a Saturday. The meal came to ~$220 after tip, and we were satisfied but not stuffed. Highly recommend, the food here is on point!
