The 16 Best Los Angeles Coffee Shops With Free Wi-Fi | Eater LA

"Located in the Historic South Central core, Cafe Calle hits a trifecta for cafe work: Wi-Fi, free parking, and ample outlets. Opt for a bagel sandwich, croissants, conchas, crepes, a lovely blueberry and lavender lemonade, espresso tonic, and a signature abuelita cold brew with cinnamon and a touch of chocolate." - Mona Holmes

Google
Great vanilla latte! Roasted to perfection & a perfect ratio of milk and syrup combination, what a great little hidden community gem! Was passing through the area on the way to work & was hesitant to stop here due to not being familiar with it but it's high ratings review nudged me in the direction of giving it a try and I was not disappointed. Staff was friendly and the cafe was clean and stylish which is always a plus.

Google
I tried the iced matcha latte, and it was incredible. Also tried the coffee cake it was nostalgic. The brownie is moist and delicious. We're definitely going to be a regular here now.

Very cosy outdoor, bench and umbrella. Quick stop over to cool down a bit. Of course, mostly for take away because very limited seatings. The drink is marvelous!

Google
Another coffee spot off my list!!! Idk if it is Central American owned but it felt like it. The coffee was good, had it with a chocolate muffin as well which made it even better.

Google
It’s a nice place and quite place to relax or do some work The coffee it’s pretty good a bit on the sweet side for my taste but very tasty I order a bagel with salmon and cream cheese with cucumber and purple onion it was delicious I only wish it had more cucumber to offset the fish taste but over all 8/10 bagel Inside it’s small with a few tables Tables are clean Restroom is very clean

We decided to visit Cafe Calle for the first time after discovering they serve Cafe de Olla and a variety of delicious options. I ordered a Cafe de Olla Latte with almond milk and a Lox and Cream Cheese toast. Upon arrival, we were informed that they could only accept cash or payments via Venmo or Zelle due to a system issue. **Location:** The café is situated under a residential building next to the subway, tucked away in the corner. While parking can be challenging, we were fortunate to find a spot on the street, with additional parking available in a nearby lot at 33rd corner. **Ambiance:** The coffee shop has a cozy atmosphere, offering plenty of workspace and charging ports, along with ample natural light streaming in through the windows. **Service:** The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that our experience was enjoyable and that we had everything we needed during our visit. **Food:** The coffee was delicious and served at the perfect temperature. The Lox Toast was equally impressive, featuring cream cheese, avocado, smoked lox, an egg cooked over easy, and topped with microgreens. Overall, I highly recommend Cafe Calle for your coffee cravings, where you can enjoy great vibes and excellent service.

Google
Absolutely my favorite coffee place to frequent in LA. The owners are some of the kindness people you’ll meet and the quality of food & drink is always superb! They are loving and supporting local business.

Google
Love coming here and seeing Diana with her talented staff. She is very thoughtful and deliberate with her menu and services. One of my top 3 favorite coffee shops in LA. My go-to drinks are: Cortado with half and half, Iced Spanish Latte and a single espresso.

Yelp
I tried the espresso bubbly, and it was definitely something different! I love the creativity behind it. it's very innovative. The ladies at the bar were super friendly, which added to the experience. The shop also has a lot of cool, random little things like stickers and merch that are super cute. Prices were reasonable too, which is always a plus. The only downside is that there's no parking available, at least none that I noticed. But it's a cute little coffee shop for the community, by the community, and it really feels like that. While the beans weren't exactly to my liking (I can pick up on roast profiles pretty well), I think that's just personal preference. I'd definitely come back for a milk-based drink next time!

Yelp
A very comfortable & inviting coffee shop serving up solid coffee & tasty pastries. A gift card from a friend brought me here. The food menu looked great (I had my eye on the pita wrap, next visit it's mine) the barista was very helpful, music selection was perfect. I stopped by around 2pm on a Friday, a few people working, cute Abuelas knitting. I ordered the Abuelita cold brew 5/5 a perfect amount of sweetness, strong cold brew, I loved this drink! I also ordered the churro croissant warmed up it was honestly heaven! Another 5/5. I was happy to hear that the croissant was from Homeboy Industries, local supporting local will always have my business! I had to purchase the salsa in the small fridge it looked too good to pass up, tasted excellent on eggs the next morning. If I am ever in the area I will surely pay another visit to this establishment, cheers friends!

Yelp
a nice spot for a quick bite or that caffeine boost if there's adequate space to do some work or a hangout. The drinks are good and certainly the specials are inviting; the matcha lemonade though was a little too tart for me. The staff is also very friendly and very efficient as I was in and out in less than five minutes and it wasn't even a busy hour. It was bit loud at that time though so I'm not sure how well that would be for work, but personally I just plug my AirPods in so that's a nonissue for me.

Yelp
This is my current favorite coffee shop in LA!!! It's a central American owned coffee shop with flavors inspired from the region. My favorite drink is an iced latte with Horchata cold cream. The espresso is so smooth that it doesn't need any sweetener!! They have a variety of drinks and you can ask to customize to your liking too. They are very accommodating. The owner, Diana, is so sweet! They also have good pastries options and a food menu with options ranging from avocado toast, chile relleno burrito, açaí bowl. This is a great place to study or simply hang out with friends. They have free Wi-Fi and a printer that you can use for a small fee, which is very convenient. Seating here is cozy. There is art and lots of natural lighting in this space. You can find street parking and small retail parking lot within a walking distance!

Yelp
What a little gem. This place has so much appeal. It has the mom and Pop feel but also lot of the extra stuff that you might not think would be there. Wi-Fi, lots of outlets to plug-in your computer, and as a bonus they even have a printer if you really need it. I went for the Spanish latte and not disappoint. Also had the avocado toast. The vibe was relaxing. There was some background music but it was also quiet enough that you didn't feel disrupted. Appreciated that there was a decent amount of seating in there. And the staff was super nice. Will definitely make this a spot when I'm on the side of town.

Yelp
First time here since I seen it on channel 5 news they were not lying delicious pan de muerto had a light filling which made it enjoyable my Spanish latte was superb on the sweetness
google avatar

Abigail U.

Yelp
The service was welcoming and quick. I ordered their iced matcha latte and saw them prep it from scratch.

Yelp
Hidden away among the industrial urban community within downtown Los Angeles is this quaint little cozy cafe. Once inside, you think you were in a contemporary hip vibe of a locals only hideaway. I came for coffee, but if I came for lunch, I would've ordered the avocado toast. Bonus...they have wifi and chill music playing in the background.

Yelp
Great ambiance, wonderful service, food didn't quite hit the mark. The interior, with its rich color and art, is so inviting and welcoming. It's not the largest space, but reasonable for study sessions and small meals. Drinks are served in a glass unless you ask for a to-go. We opted for Iced Lattes with Oat Milk, one with Lavender and the other with Vanilla. Quite refreshing and delicious! As for food, we got the Avocado Toast with an Egg added. No seasoning on the egg, and the toast wasn't too toasty. We waited quite a bit for the toast, so that was a bit disappointing. I would come back for the coffee, but maybe try something else for food. Street parking was my best bet on a weekend morning.

Yelp
What a lovely coffee shop! The coffee is so good, the staff is kind, and they have games and books you can use! The place is great for studying!

Yelp
I stopped this wonderful family run business named Cafe Calle while on a food crawl. We had a chance to learn the history behind the cafe from the owner herself. She told us the beautiful story of how the cafe came to fruition along with her community effort to help other small businesses. Now to the drink. I ordered the golden milk with a shot of espresso, I also added vanilla, the drink was delicious. Everyone in our party enjoyed their drinks. You can stop by this Café on any given day and you may see a band playing, someone outside selling food, clothes or Plants. It's definitely a community environment here and I applaud the owner for taking this initiative to help others. You should definitely stop by this hidden gem.

Yelp
What a cute cafe! Stopped by here after doing some volunteering at the Food Bank since it was still early and I had a taste for coffee. Looks like it's a nice place to work. The cashier was very friendly and gave some good recommendations. The coffee was great and very hot. I had a hard time deciding on the food I wanted because there were quite a few options I thought would be good. I opted for just a plan bagel with cream cheese. When I left and went to finally have my bagel I noticed it was essentially a toasted brioche bun. I wish they would've just said they were out of bagels because I would have happily ordered something else. I'll go back because the coffee is good but will probably order something else food wise.

Turtle T.

Yelp
If you could imagine the best cafe you've ever been to, and then make it better, you would get Café Calle. I've been all around Southern California looking for someone to properly serve a double espresso and this place did it. Proper cappuccinos. Ethically sourced coffee beans. At the risk of sounding uppity - this place is exquisite.
google avatar

Kay D.

Yelp
This is definitely a gem. Very inviting, not pretentious. I stopped in during the early afternoon to get on a Zoom call, and ordered a latte and lox/cream cheese on a jalapeno bagel. I have to say, that was the best lox on bagel I've had in a long time! (Of course, the latte was awesome too.) There's a very small parking lot across 33rd Street that they share with the other businesses. I was lucky to find a spot in there. I'd definitely stop by again next time I find myself in the area!

Kimberly A.

Yelp
Their turkey croissant sandwich was delicious! Street parking and plenty of seating inside. I loved the art they had on display and they had cute items for sale (candles, other maybe homemade goods?) I got the abuelita cold brew and while it was good I think the flavors should be a little stronger/bolder. I'd still definitely recommend checking this place out!
google avatar

J H.

Yelp
Great coffee and comfortable working space. Love the vibe here. Chill community space, not stuck up vibes like some cafes. They have nice window seating, a little couch, and tables - so lots of comfortable seating options with power outlets available.

Yelp
First came across Cafe Calle when I began supporting local coffee shops back in March 2020 when the pandemic hit and I knew Starbucks but would survive but small businesses wouldn't. Wanted to check our Cafe Calle when it was located at Plant Chica but for some reason I wasn't able to make it out to mid city then it happened that she was shut down and I remember being so sad because I felt it was an unfair and unjust situation. Then I saw she was trying to open up a permanent coffee shop and hold and behold it just happened that it's now located 2min drive from me. Honestly love the whole story of how things happened and turned out amazing for the owner because she never gave up on her dream. Go support her business because she is a true inspiration and the coffee is amazing. I had the pleasure of finally trying their Iced Latte during the soft opening this past Saturday. There's parking in the residential areas nearby or in front of the building. The coffee shop has a cozy feel and everyone is super friendly and nice. Will be coming back often that's for sure.
google avatar

Joseline S.

Yelp
I came for their soft opening and everything seemed to be running smoothly. The owner was taking orders and she was super friendly, she took the time to greet every customer. I got a chocolate muffin and it was really good the size was good for the price. The vanilla latte was really good. Not too bitter and not too sweet. I definitely enjoyed it and would go back to try more of their drinks. Parking: we found street parking in the street next to it. Not sure if they have parking.
google avatar

Andy P.

Yelp
The Vibes are amazing and relaxing with the music, The organic food and Drinks are tasty. Very chill place where you can drink your coffee and do any type of work on your tablet. Inner city should have a lot more places like Cafe Calle
google avatar

Alejandra V.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. The staff is very friendly. It's also very cozy and the place is very welcoming.
google avatar

Penelope P.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere. Stopped in for breakfast. Shop and ear local. The owners work the counter and kitchen themselves and make everything with care and attention to detail. I got the lox bagel with egg, and a latte. Love the music and the mini library!
google avatar

Celeste H.

Yelp
Love this place! So happy they brought authentic, third wave coffee to the mini hood. It's woman owned and operated from El Salvador. She's bringing our culture to LA. The coffee is delicious from Central American. They even have pastures and alternative milk. Love this place. Parking on the street. Safe area.

Yelp
Dropped by this cozy coffee shop for some quick coffee on the way to work and was so pleasantly surprised by the quality of the coffee here! We got a hot oat milk latte and a hot Spanish latte with oat milk, which was delicious and not too sweet despite the condensed milk in it. The espresso was great and the milk was perfectly steamed and so creamy. The owner was so kind and friendly too, and there were plenty of spots to do work too with free wifi. Definitely will drop by to support the business if I'm ever in the area again.

Bianca O.

Yelp
Staff is nice and friendly. I'm obsessed with the oatmeal and blueberry matcha 10/10 . All the other things I've tried are also good but those 2 are delicious.

Chelsea M.

Yelp
Their coffee is good. I had an iced Americano. Service is A1. Prices reasonable. I enjoyed my time there. I hosted a staff meeting for a group of 5. The spacing is tight but it feels cozy. Everyone in the group was pleased with what they ordered. High traffic in the morning. Overall, I definitely would recommend. Plus, their Wifi is also good!
google avatar

elizabeth f.

Yelp
I had a drip coffee with steamed oatmilk and a shot of cafe de olla syrup. Delicious!!

Karen H.

Yelp
LOVE this place!! Friendly, warm environment as soon as you walk in. Hot or iced Spanish latte and a warmed up almond croissant is my go to order

Craig H.

Yelp
Just perfect - clean cozy atmosphere, genuinely nice owner, and delicious coffee with an everything bagel. Hope to visit again when I'm in town.

Yelp
Delicious coffee, food, service, and great ambiance! Love the spanish latte. Also they have large sizes which is a rare find!

Annie G.

Yelp
I ordered the abuelita cold brew it's strong just how I like my coffee just wish it would of been a bit sweeter. I also ordered the coffee cake which is AMAZING! Will definitely return to try other pastries and drinks. Love that there's a small coffee shop with this soothing earthy ambiance with a book corner and games available as well making it a well rounded place to study or hangout.
google avatar

Todd K.

Yelp
I was looking for a nice bite after going to the CA Science Center and found this little gem. Very nice server and very tasty eats (especially the crepe). Didn't have drip coffee so I had an Americano which was fine but would like to try the drip coffee next time. Well worth a visit!

Karen V.

Yelp
First of all the oatmeal is to die for... Definitely comfort food. I also got the Cortado w/ almond milk and it was delicious perfect for a coffee lover/addict like me. Place was very clean and great customer service. My sister got the Spanish latte w/ oat milk and she said it was really good.

Jolon B.

Yelp
My favorite cafe in all of Los Angeles. Total surprise tucked away off a street I would never expect to find it. Best drinks ever. Best chill place to work away from home office or dorm. Nicest staff EVER. Nice Latin vibes, bookcase full of smart socio económico reading treats. Love Cafe Calle wish it was closer to home but I will always visit when I am between usc and downtown. Thank you!
google avatar

Christina B.

Yelp
Café calle transports you to a cafe in Central America. The vibes are so welcoming and so authentic... but let me tell you, when I say their coffee is 10/10, I MEAN IT! I will be back for my cafecito very soon!
google avatar

Xochitl M.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of coming here during a work trip. The owner, Diana, is soo sweet. 10/10 experience all around If you go here I suggest the ube brookies, and the blueberry lavender lemonade!
google avatar

Lalaunie C.

Yelp
I love it here! The owner is very welcoming, there's plenty of space to work with free wifi, and its culture rich. Plus the coffee and acai bowls are on point!
google avatar

Shannon M.

Yelp
The coffee is so good - reliable and delicious. Perfect amount of flavor when you're looking for something sweet and excellent when you just want drip or an americano. The owner is wonderful, so friendly and genuine. And y'all - their Ube blondies. I have DREAMS about these ube blondies. They are so freaking good. All the pastries and food are good so don't worry... but something about the ube blondies... my mouth is watering as we speak. Guaranteed to make a bad day good and a good day great
google avatar

Yelp

Yelp
Came in on a Monday morning, and it was pretty empty this is definitely a hidden gem, i order a lox and cream cheese bagel, blueberry cheese danish, açaí bowl and a Spanish latte price was $27. Food was made to order so it did take a little while to come out but it was amazing !!! Bagel was yummy it had a nice amount of cream cheese an salmon aswell as some greens , such a fresh bite. The blueberry danish was warm and flakey definitely made fresh. Spanish latte was amazing as well a slight sweetness not to over powering still able to taste the espresso. The açaí bowl was so refreshing it was topped off with strawberries, banana, blueberries, honey, hemp seeds and cacao nibs. Service is was amazing the cashier/ server was super nice and definitely put love in the food he served. Over all this is a must try cafe, it is small inside but it's such a nice amount of space if you want a place to study and do work, this cafe is playing soft music and it also has a PRINTER !!! This place is awesome will definitely be a returning customer
google avatar

Karen R.

I felt super welcomed with the beautiful art and amazing barista!

Yelp
Great place for lunch and social event. Food and services were good. I would recommend a visit.

Ana L.

Yelp
The coffee was great but I paid extra for avocado on my croissant and they didn't add it. Kinda disappointed but overall service was good.
google avatar

Randy R.

Yelp
This coffee shop blew my socks off. I ordered the pour over coffee and it was very smooth. I didn't need to add milk or sugar. I had a sip of the honey lavender iced latte and it was super fresh and balanced. The place is family friendly with amble seating. It's also very clean and eco-friendly. There is a great selection of coffee for sale. This is a great addition to the neighborhood.

Yelp
Best coffee I've had in a while, beautiful shop, amazing owners make me always feel warm and welcome. You can see that a lot of blood sweat and tears went into this little shop. Honestly I wish Diana nothing but the best, and I look forward to my next cup. I had a cold brew last time, super refreshing and packed with flavor
