Where to Eat in the Eastern Townships | Eater Montreal

"Another pandemic-era restaurant to have emerged in the last few months is Bolt Café, owned and operated by Montreal couple Véronique Lacoursière and Pierre-Etienne Boivin. Having left the city for good in August 2020, they purchased a then-closed restaurant and converted it into the café-buvette. Stop in for a classic grilled cheese, excellent coffee (roasted by Montreal-based Escape Roasters), or natural wine. With a small biergarten expansion already in the works, this daytime locale is quickly becoming a crowd favourite." - Daniel Bromberg

One of the only cafes that was open in the area during the winter season. The vanilla latte was warm and delightful. Just the right amount of sweetness. I heavily enjoyed it. Beautiful latte art as well! I also ordered the ham and cheese sandwich that came on a croissant. It was absolutely delicious! They toasted it using a panini press, and the ham was so flavorful. I savored every bite. The atmosphere is a bit minimalist and cold, but the drinks and food will warm your soul!

Beautiful cafe with a good breakfast menu of sandwiches and salads with tofu. You should expect a 5-8 minute wait before ordering especially during busy times

A hip café in a somewhat industrial/minimalist style. Not the cosiest place in town but I had the best coffee here I've had in my life. I did not know that coffee could taste this good. Incredible barista!!!

Such a cute place. The coffee was excellent (I got a dirty chai) and they have a few nondairy milk options. The pastries were also very good. The shop is very nicely set up with lots of nice goods available for purchase. The baristas were friendly and helpful.

Limited food menu, but all the sandwiches were very tasty! Loved the veggie one- so fresh and flavourful. Great coffee! Service was friendly. Will be back if ever in the area again.

Wonderful little care! Easy to navigate, in French or English. Lovely fodder, even better bevvies. And lovely atmosphere however eating outside by the road does tend to get a little loud.

Best coffee in town! Fantastic coffee and milk work and a great selection of baked goods. The spot is super cute and cozy. They offer a small lunch menu and also have a great selection of wine and beer to take away.

Great coffee, best in the area. The breakfast sandwich would have been good, but came absolutely dripping in sauce. There's no world where this much sauce needs to be on a breakfast sandwich. Owners,
