Montreal Has a New Pastry Shop for Kouign Amann — And More September Restaurant Openings | Eater Montreal

"Run by brothers Simon-Pierre and Xavier-Bernard Caron (previously of Caffè In Gamba), Caron & Frères took over a Bélanger Street locale that had hosted Le Watson and later Le Mariachi, and the brothers — with a redesign by local firm Ivy Studio — are offering a solid selection of specialty coffee from local roasters including ZAB, Traffic, Structure, and Yamabiko." - Valerie Silva

This coffee shop tastes really good. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. Although it’s not very big, it has a nice outdoor seating area. However, the coffee size is quite small. I ordered a cappuccino, and when I received it, the cup seemed only half full. After just three or four sips, it was already gone. If the portion size were larger, I would definitely give it a higher rating.

Café Caron is such a cozy and charming neighborhood spot. The staff were warm and friendly, making the experience feel extra welcoming. The coffee was excellent, smooth, rich, and clearly made with care. There’s also a lovely outdoor seating area, perfect for relaxing with your drink on a nice day. They even sell their own coffee beans if you want to bring the experience home. A great little gem worth visiting if you’re in the area!

Had one of their specialities - Tiramisu Coffee. Must say it's a unique one. Service was friendly too. To me it seemed like a quaint yet a modern vibe student cafe. Has nice seating including sofa couch, table-chair, high chair and outdoor seating. Also, they have cute merchandise as well you're interested. Overall, a cute one.

I had this coffee shop saved on my Google Maps for a while, and I’m so glad I finally stopped by while walking through Little Italy. I decided to try their vanilla iced latte, and it did not disappoint. The interior has a cozy, welcoming vibe, and the baristas were just as warm and friendly. I took my drink out to the patio and spent some time reading, it turned out to be the perfect little break in my walk. The atmosphere was calm and uplifting, and the coffee was absolutely delicious. I left in such a good mood. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Nice little cafe with outdoor seating. I really wanted to try their tiramisu cafe but there's only a dairy version. I did end up getting a matcha latté with a veggie pâté sandwich but nothing really stood out to me. However I really enjoyed the environment along with the music. The staff were friendly.

It’s near Little Italy / Marche Jean Talon area. Lovely cozy café with a small patio on the side. There are no individual tables, if you want to have a 1 on 1 conversation, this is not the place. I’ve tried some coffees and pastries. The coffee is really good. The iced tiramisu coffee will keep me going back for sure. It’s pricey, though. Pastries are nothing special. Street parking is not easy to find on this area.

A hidden gem in the heart of Little Italy. I tried the breakfast sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. The sriracha sauce added a nice kick, balanced perfectly by the fresh tomato. The bun was soft yet held everything together beautifully. I paired it with a soy milk cappuccino, and it didn’t disappoint. The coffee was smooth, and I appreciated the variety of beans they offer. Ended up refilling my stash at home with Zap and Pilot coffee beans—they know their coffee game here. The space is simple yet thoughtfully designed, with little details like a big fig plant, a sleek quartz (or granite?) counter, and a great selection of pastries and snacks. I even loved the imperfect charm of the floors—it all felt warm and authentic. It’s on the smaller side, and it does get busy, but if you find a quiet moment, it’s the perfect spot to work or journal. Definitely a place I’ll return to. You get one free coffee when you buy a bean bag, which is really a nice toughs.
