Café Colao Review - Humboldt Park - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Café Colao has something we wish all coffee shops served: Puerto Rican pastries. In addition to their coffee and bakery menu they’ve also got a long list of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, from steak and eggs to medianoches. There’s no wifi, but there is sidewalk seating perfect for that coffee date you’ve been putting off, or you can take your iced latte for a walk around the park a block away." - Josh Barnett

Always wanted to visit and finally made the trip this time around. The whole street is very beautifully decorated for pictures. They have workers there that are photographers in case you want better pics. The drinks were all awesome. Had the white sangria and boy are they strong. The coco mojitos were also delicious.. no complaints at all with the drinks at least that part was great! The food was ok. Nothing too memorable.. I must say that the churrasco was the best !! It was a lot more in cost than other places I have visited but it was good. It’s a great hangout spot and very chillax once you’re sitting down the vendors don’t come to annoy you with their services. If I’m around I will go visit again but the 1 hour trip from Santiago here it’s a bit complicated with the construction going on as they are widening the roads. Great establishment!

i honestly would come here more for the amazing margaritas. you can get it in any flavor and they’ll all be amazing. my favorite one was the chinola & limon. food portions are very little though. everytime i went the workers were honestly pure sweethearts. that’s another reason why i continued going.

This place was packed, but the staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and efficient. They managed to accommodate us right away, and the food arrived surprisingly fast despite the rush. We were really impressed by their service. We actually came back the next night just for dessert — even though they were full, they went out of their way to set up a table for us on the patio and made sure we had space for our dog as well. Everyone was warm, respectful, and genuinely friendly. Definitely one of those places you’ll want to return to again and again. Highly recommended!

This is perhaps the most popular restaurant in Jarabacoa, and with good reason. It is a blast all around, both while you are there as well as the tours after the meal. Service can be a bit slow during busy hours.

The ceviche was awesome, the coffee great, the food was delicious. The coconut mojito is the best I ever tried. Love it! The photo ops I really enjoyed it. Paid parking near and the little store with souvenirs near the parking have good prices.

They have discovered the great secret of satisfying a customer. Good Food, great environment and outstanding services. They even have a dedicated tooth pick for the table and their house lunch have 3 meals that are only 600 pesos or 10 dollars. This is a must place, and if you are a US Veteran they may give you a hand salute why accommodating your request. Great place to eat and very safe.
