Tucked away in the courtyard of 520 Royal St, also known as the "Bruletour Courtyard", Café Cour is run by the folks at Carmo and provides a lovely selection of beverages and light eats in the heart of the French Quarter. It shares the address with the Historic New Orleans Collection's most recently opened museum space and serves as the Museum Café.
They offer pastries, coffees and tea, lunch options, salads, sandwiches, biscuits that I have heard folks RAVE about. They also have options for vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian and the folks who avoid gluten. The gumbo I had recently was outstanding, and the piperade tart with a little side salad was the PERFECT lunch at a GREAT price, so much so that I had it twice that same week.
