The Cafe Cour has very recently reopened after having been closed for a while. They serve a selection of salads, beverages and pastries which are all quite tasty. The staff are friendly and engaging. There is also a comfortable courtyard with outdoor seating available, so that patrons may sit and rest.

This cafe is the best-kept secret in the French Quarter! Ice cream, salads, sandwiches -- everything is delicious and served up by the talented chef with flair. For a vegetarian option, I recommend the refreshing Viet peanut salad. And the courtyard dining area is well away from the street clatter, a restful oasis that is very welcoming.

Wonderful cafe inside of the Historic New Orleans Collection. Employee was very friendly and helpful.

Awesome hidden cafe on the side of the street. Nice and shaded around lunchtime, and a great place to relax from the heat. Ordered a coconut water and got it Hawaii style! A whole coconut with the top cut off and a spoon for eating the meat. Their red beans and rice had a vegan sausage option and was super good!

Been here three days in a row and had excellent, friendly service each time. The yellow curry is incredible, as was the bbq pork sandwich and salad. The courtyard is a lovely spot to work or sit and relax, and the museum is free.

Google
Two stars for ambiance in the courtyard. Otherwise waited 20 minutes for a disappointing takeout panini and never received my drink. Something must have been off because the other reviews are great, but I wouldn't come back or recommend.

Grabbed a cold brew here after touring the collection. The coffee was delicious, and the woman working was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The shady courtyard is great, too, even on hot days.

The bbq pulled pork sandwich is amazing! They have vegetarian dishes as well. We are visiting from out of town and found this gem in a cute courtyard just around the corner from the Omni Royal Hotel.

Yelp
Came here for lunch after a graveyard tour and absolutely loved it. Situated inside the historic New Orleans Collection, it was a bit hard to find but absolutely loved it. We got the bbq pork and pane cunzatu and they were great. They came with a side salad. Recommend if you're in the area.

Yelp
"Meh" The odd, hard to find location, limited menu, and lack of indoor seating make this one of the less frequented spots in the Quarter. It's hard to figure out how they stay in business. PROTIP: skip the restaurant and spend your time at "The Shop" - it's seriously one of the best museum stores in the country.

Yelp
What a hidden gem. And I do mean hidden. I've walked this block of Royal hundreds of times without knowing that the perfect spot for a light lunch, coffee, tea or pastry was tucked away in a peaceful courtyard just behind the front building of the Historic New Orleans Collection, which is worth a visit in its own right. I remember reading that the Carmo folks from Julia Street were opening here, but out of sight, out of mind. While visiting the museum yesterday, I finally took the opportunity to grab a quick lunch. The service was spot on. The Peruvian chicken meat pie with slaw was delicious. Great coffee & tea, too. The smell of hot cinnamon rolls coming from the oven have me wanting to return this morning!

Yelp
Tucked away in the courtyard of 520 Royal St, also known as the "Bruletour Courtyard", Café Cour is run by the folks at Carmo and provides a lovely selection of beverages and light eats in the heart of the French Quarter. It shares the address with the Historic New Orleans Collection's most recently opened museum space and serves as the Museum Café. They offer pastries, coffees and tea, lunch options, salads, sandwiches, biscuits that I have heard folks RAVE about. They also have options for vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian and the folks who avoid gluten. The gumbo I had recently was outstanding, and the piperade tart with a little side salad was the PERFECT lunch at a GREAT price, so much so that I had it twice that same week.

Yelp
Love this place. I had the red beans and rice with vegan sausage and a vegan-modified muffalata sandwich for the win. Highly recommend to any hungry people wandering the French Quarter at lunchtime. My non-vegan father also loved his pork sandwich.

Yelp
Great cafe located inside of The Historic New Orleans Collection. Dining in the courtyard, friendly employees, good food. I stopped in as I was spending time exploring the collection and I was very happy to not have to go out to find something to eat. I had the white beans with rice, and yellow cake with chocolate icing. Everything was just lovely. I even got a lemon bar to go and the gal working kept it in the refrigerator until I was ready to leave to keep it cool. Great place to eat. And walk around the collection when you are done. You won't regret either choice.

Yelp
What a lovely courtyard! When I stopped in at the holiday shopping market at HNOC, I realized I was starving. The HNOC cafe to the rescue! I twas a lovely day to eat outside and I enjoyed the delacour salad. It was HUGE even without adding a protein. And with the super tasty bellegarde bread and butter a great meal. The beets and the dill dressing were perfect together. Ordering at the counter was easy. And the service was great.

Yelp
After having some very indulgent meals while visiting New Orleans, I was craving a salad. I'm so glad I found Cafe Cour. I ordered the Habana Salad and added shrimp. They source their ingredients locally, in other words "Farm to Table". The salad was exactly what I needed, fresh and healthy. I was worried the habanero vinaigrette might be too spicy, but it had just the right amount of heat and I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of shrimp. After enjoying a healthy lunch outside in the courtyard of The New Orleans Collection, I couldn't resist the delicious looking baked goods. I ordered the Chocolate Chicory Cookie. It was delicious, the chocolate chips were still slightly melted. Before leaving I visited the galleries on the 3rd floor of the New Orleans Collection. They have free admission!

Yelp
This gem hidden in the courtyard of the newest Historic New Orleans Collection buildings on Royal street serves up some tasty and inexpensive treats. Café Cour, run by the owners of Carmo, features outdoor seating only. You order at the counter and eat in the courtyard or take it to go. You are greeted by friendly staff who will take the time to explain what they feature that day or items on the menu with which you may be unfamiliar. Sandwiches such as jamon Serrano with manchego cheese served on a Belgrade baguette and served with a side salad are flavorful, filling and fit the budget at $10 - (a rarity in the FQ). They also have An array of empanadas, usually a soup of the day, salads, tortillas Hispaniola, and a smattering of sweets to top it all off! Definitely check out this hidden gem

Yelp
Cafe Cour is so lovely! My friend and I were able to get vegan and non-vegan muffulettas and gumbos. Everything was amazing. This is a hidden gem nestled in a quaint, peaceful, and historic courtyard!

Yelp
The vegan pastrami sandwich is delectable! The combo of fresh zucchini and pepper aioli is perfect! It can be hard to find healthy food in the French quarter, so this place is a gem. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Very good food. Friendly staff. Off the street in a quiet courtyard in historic museum. Nice to get away from hubbub and enjoy delicious food.

Yelp
Cafe Cour is the best kept secret in the Quarter. Their food is consistently excellent, and it's QUIET in the THNOC courtyard.

Yelp
We have been touring for 5 days eating southern food. We were so ready for good vegetarian salads and sandwiches. We found Cafe Cour. Yeah!! We had the Del la Cour and the Goi Ga salads. Both were fresh, well seasoned, and delicious. The Muffulettu Giardino sandwich was awesome! If we were here for a couple more days, we would definitely return. The staff was friendly and took pride in every dish. Highly recommend.
