The 14 Best French Restaurants In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"Cafe Croissant proves breakfast is better with a side of french fries. The identical twin chefs that run the place make a parisienne crepe loaded with enough turkey and cheese to sustain you through lunch—when it would be entirely appropriate to come back and eat this again. They have a great breakfast deal with three eggs cooked how you want, fries, and a quarter of a baguette for only $12. If you come with a group of friends, get the french toast with caramelized apples and pecans to share. The staff is friendly and if you live in the area, this is the kind of reliable, affordable spot that demands enough repeat visits to become a regular, and eventually be able to tell the chefs apart." - mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

11 Miami Restaurants Where You’ll Want To Become A Regular

"The only way to tell apart the twin chefs at Cafe Croissant is if you become a regular. The French breakfast spot on Coral Way is too easy to visit on a weekly basis. They serve a hearty breakfast that includes three eggs any style, a side of fries, fruit, or salad (get the fries), and a quarter of baguette for about $12. They also make excellent quiches, crepes, and wonky croissants perfect for dipping into your coffee. If you come by yourself, sit at the counter and chat with the sweet servers who will make adorable designs on your cappuccino if they like you. It’s a wonderfully affordable way to start every morning and maybe after 10 visits, you’ll be able to differentiate the twins. " - virginia otazo, mariana trabanino, ryan pfeffer

Aah this cute quaint French cafe with delicious breakfast and coffee! Cherished date with my husband this morning on our last day of Miami vacation. We got Nutella banana crepes, almond croissants, brie mushrooms spinach sandwich, and cappuccinos 😋. The French owner was sweet. The vibe of this cafe added to the experience. Highly recommend if you are in Little Havana.

Google
We visited Café Croissant and ordered scrambled eggs with salad, an Americano, a cappuccino, and a ham and cheese croissant. The quality of the products was excellent—everything was truly delicious, with the croissant standing out in particular for being served hot and perfectly prepared. However, there were some aspects that could be improved. When we ordered a second ham and cheese croissant, it was served cold, which diminished the experience compared to the first one. Additionally, when it came time to pay, we noticed that a 20% service charge had already been included, yet the bill still suggested leaving an additional tip of 20% or more. When we asked for clarification, we felt somewhat pressured to leave the additional amount—which we did. In other restaurants in the area, when a service charge is included, it is clearly stated upfront that any additional tip is optional; in this case, that information was not provided. Furthermore, the service was not particularly courteous, possibly due to the large number of customers at the time. In summary, Café Croissant offers high-quality food, but certain aspects of the service—such as consistency in food presentation and transparency regarding charges—should be reviewed in order to ensure an experience that matches the excellence of its cuisine.

Google
While Café Croissant is really the only convenient spot in the area for a quick breakfast, the experience left much to be desired. I had to send my first eggs back and nothing seemed like it was made with thought or care. The croissants had a decent buttery aroma but lacked the light, flaky texture that defines a truly excellent pastry. Instead, they seem to be average and pay with a hotel-style pack of Strawberry jam, not as fresh as one would hope. The young girl who served me was very kind, but the rest of the service was perfunctory at best, with staff appearing disinterested in customer satisfaction. The coffee I will say was the highlight. It was very good that we came with a giant hair in it. The café' also lacks typical French ambiance, it is more of a hole-in-the-wall diner with a smattering of French decor. All that being said there doesn’t seem to be much else around the neighborhood so this is what you get. If you're in a rush and need a caffeine fix, it'll do the job - but don't go out of your way for what amounts to a forgettable dining experience.

Google
What an amazing and adorable cafe. Had breakfast this morning. Food was so fresh and delicious. I had a ham, brie and mushroom omelet, wife had the berry French toast, then we took a Guava croissant to go and had it when we got back to the hotel later. All were so good. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Google
Jocelyne and the owners are a joy to see and the food is top tier. Love their pastries, coffee and other food items. You can’t go wrong. A must visit.

Google
where do i begin… walking in this restaurant, i was delighted by the quaint atmosphere and friendly service. Once sat, we all ordered drinks that were ALL fantastic. When the food came, to say we were delighted would be an understatement. Flavorful. Authentic. Delicious. What more could a group of friends want??? The most friendly service ever, and authentically french chefs working in the kitchen made this such a pleasant eating experience. To say i will be back is a given!! Cafe Croissant I love you, new fav breakfast spot!!!

Google
This is the kind of place where you don’t look for what’s wrong cause the food makes you feel like everything is alright! The twins always cook with so much love and the girls are nice and sweet. Every once in a while I come back here for a great breakfast and a cup of coffee! Thank you for all the love you transmit on each plate!

Google
A truly authentic French spot run by real French owners. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with friendly staff that make you feel right at home. There’s nothing fancy or glamorous about the place, but that’s exactly what makes it so charming. The focus is on genuine, flavorful French cooking — simple, honest, and absolutely delicious

Yelp
Loved this little neighborhood diner! My friend and I were looking for a place near Little Havana that served breakfast with some semi-healthy options - tough to find! We ended up at Cafe Croissant in Shenandoah about 10 minutes away from the area. We'd normally not think to hang out in this part of town but we're so glad we did! The servers were all very warm and welcoming and the food was all tasty. They brought us a side of tostadas with our meals and the fruit was so fresh. My only wish was that they'd had nonfat or 2% milk as an option. Check these guys out!

Yelp
This is your quintessential neighborhood french cafe but make it also with a Cuban twist b/c this is south Florida after all! Great friendly service. I could smell fresh baked bread before walking in. I love that the breakfast meals come with veggie and fruit options (very french) yet the sandwiches and eggs are served with a side of cuban bread freshly baked- you can tell coffee id flowing, they have fresh pressed oj as well. You can sit at the bar or at a table. Good place to get a great meal that's high quality without breaking the bank.

Yelp
Cafe Croissant continues to be one of our favorite French breakfast spots! My dad has been cooking breakfast every weekend, and when we decided to go eat breakfast out after not having done so in a long time, we all agreed we had to come here. The food was amazing as always, and we love that we got to say hi to everyone after not seeing them for a while. Their scrambled eggs are special, French fries are perfectly crispy, and coffee is freshly brewed. Forever a favorite!

Yelp
Their breads are amazingly delicious , and when I say breads I mean everything that comes out of their bakery (pastries). I've driven on Coral Way thousand times and I have never seen this place, it's wedge between Old Lisbon and La Margarita Wonderfood. if you're not actively looking for it, you'll miss it every time. Friendly and very accommodating service, come early or you'll miss out on a lot of their delicious pastries.

Yelp
Grabbed a bunch of croissants varietals to go on a weekday morning and don't let the unassuming pics online fool you. These croissants are FIRE. Buttery, flaky and melt in your mouth good. The flavored croissants are also generous in filling. Did not stay but the counter was bumping for a weekday morning! Namesake is well deserved!

Yelp
Good simple French food. I've had the sandwiches, omelets, and crepes before and they are all quite tasty. I recommend getting the vegetable omelet with brie added. It's a very large crepe and the gooeyness of the brie is prefect. They have a variety of milks for espresso based drinks which I appreciate. They do up-charge you though. The place is pretty simple, but everyone is friendly and I love their french accents. Great place to read at the counter while you wait on your car next door. I may be wrong but it seems like their prices have gone up a bit in the last few years, but I suppose that's expected with the rising cost of goods and they include a 20% service charge which surprised me. All in all though, a breakfast or lunch here will not disappoint if you are looking for a simple, filling, good meal. The place has a slight bleach odor every time I've visited, so it's not the best ambiance, but there are worse smells!

Yelp
Came by to catch up with a friend over coffee. We ordered the almond croissant and berry crepes. Both were delicious. Very cozy atmosphere and the service was great!

Yelp
What a wonderful gem on Coral Way in Miami, FL. This is probably my 4th time visiting Cafe Croissant. I love the food, service, and ambiance. As soon as you sit, you'll be greeted with a smile. They treat everyone like family here. I usually always order the egg special with turkey, brie, and light spinach. If you like a lot of spinach, just ask for spinach. It was a little too much for me, so now, I asked for light spinach. The cafe con Leche, lattes, and cappuccino are amazingly great here. If you need something to pick you uo and give you energy, ask them for any of their great cafes. It'll boost you up.

Illine D.

Yelp
we were told to try the croissants here. it's a small adorable restaurant. it was full with people walking. being first timers we stood at the entrance waiting for someone to help us. after being passed on twice we stopped a hostess and asked if she could help us with baked goods. her response I'm coming I'm coming with attitude. I went silent my husband finished. not doing again. people need to feel welcomed

Yelp
Je suis amoureux!! After finishing our recent move to coconut grove, I was craving a crepe. When I stumbled upon this restaurant on Yelp, I knew I had to stop by here because of the Parisian crepes. My French teacher would always make us crepes that tasted unique and in way I never could find anywhere else. But these crepes were pretty much similar- light and delicious!!! We ordered a savory and a sweet crepe. I never devoured something so quickly. Also, the service here is so good. When we walked in, we were greeted with "bonjour". This is my favorite place ever!!!
google avatar

Rachel R.

Yelp
Cozy French bakery frequented by regulars who know and greet the staff. Staff speak English, French, and Spanish. Delicious almond croissants. We had tasty banana and chocolate pancakes, a ham, Brie, and spinach omelette, and a banana and chocolate crepe.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this delightful little cafe the other day while I had dropped my car off for service down the street. If you're like me, and have become completely obsessed with Emily in Paris, this spot allowed me to live my best Emily life sans the impeccable fashion. I sat at the counter and ordered a ham and cheese croissant and a cafe au lait. The ham and cheese croissant was delicious and just perfectly warmed. The coffee was also great. So good, in fact, that I had another. I loved that they had oat milk as an option for the coffee. The total bill for two coffees and a croissant was $14. A total steal. The service was super friendly and you can tell this spot is authentically French. I found this place super charming, and would definitely go back. You can find street parking on Coral Way, as it is in the same strip mall on 17th where Old Libson is.

Yelp
Omg! This place is out of control. The omelette melted in my mouth. I ordered the omelette with ham, Tom and Brie . Also the apple pecan French toast was so good too the hand whip frosting they serve is the best I've ever had! Highly recommend this place. Will not disappoint. Everything was a 5 star and melts in your mouth! Nice job owners!!!

Yelp
A bonafide hidden gem. This spot has it all: charm, great service, delicious food and probably the best coffee you can buy in town. The venue is spotless and the prices are incredibly reasonable. I'll definitely be stopping by here for breakfast real soon. 5-stars all the way. Sebastian

Yelp
Took the family for a late weekend breakfast outing. We arrived close to 1:30pm. They were already out of all types croissants which it was disappointing because I really wanted to try their guava croissant but I'm happy because that just means they bake them fresh daily. It's a quaint little place. They have counter service and about 6 or so tables of 4. Not sure if they would really be great for a large party. But service and staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. We ordered the Le Mixed Berries Crepes, the French Toast and the Sirloin Steak Sandwich. My kids loved the Crepes and French Toast. Whip cream felt homemade. I had the Sirloin Steak Sandwich. The steak was cooked perfectly and the bread also felt homemade. Fries were great. But the star for me was that Entrecote sauce. I wanted a soup bowl of it in order to dunk my sandwich in. I would definitely recommend if in the area. You will feel like your are in a small diner in France. FYI, they have parking in the back with an attendant.

Araceli G.

Yelp
Friendly and quick service. Food is made fresh. Would love to come back when I visit Miami again.

Yelp
I've been coming to this lovely cafe for almost 6 years. It's definitely a locals place, it's very inexpensive, the young ladies that work there tend to be very welcoming. The food is simple but yet stratifying. I visit 4 days out the week and have breakfast and coffee every morning. I definitely recommend this little gem.
google avatar

Mag T.

Yelp
Came in for croissants to go in the early morning. $4 each and they tasted great! The guava and cheese was really flavorful while the chocolate croissant was more of a darker chocolate but still good. Staff was nice and provided fast service.
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
I was staying in the area and wanted a quick breakfast. My waitress was rude, never checked on me, had a bad attitude, and slammed my check on the counter. Food was average- the spinach that was in my vegetable omelette was actually canned spinach when I was expecting fresh spinach. I tried to sit at the counter and got kicked out while they let someone behind me on line sit there instead. Owner was sweet - he needs better staff though.
google avatar

Yelp
I know this duo of bakers for quite a while, and they are definitively part of the gastronomy history of Miami. This new venture, Cafe Croissant, is a natural transformation from their previous role as bakers because I remember that a lot of people would ask for coffee while buying their pastries and baked goods. Of course, they had a couple of tables, but that wasn't enough. I am happy to see that now they are managing a diner style cafe (or maybe a French cafeteria?). Unfortunately, their role as bakers is over and now they are restaurateurs, which to me means no more of their French patisserie, breads and baked goods. You can still buy some of their usual goods, but the quality is not the same, and neither are the prices because they are geared for the sit down crowd. Maybe I'll sit down at their counter one of these days...
google avatar

Christina T.

Yelp
A small hole in the wall right near US1. There is a parking lot in the back of the establishment with an entrance into the restaurant there too. This place is epitome of a hidden gem. Everyone was extremely kind even early on a Saturday morning. Great recommendations and explanations of the menu as well as getting our lattes and food out to us quickly. The crepes were delicious and simultaneously light and hearty. Also, the egg on the crepe was such a nice touch, I've never had a crepe like that and moving forward, I don't think I'll be able to have it any other way. The egg croissant was great because of ability to customize it. Can't wait to return.
google avatar

Christina O.

Yelp
I feel like I've come across a hidden gem. This place is quaint and homey. It very much has diner vibes with a large counter. We were greeted and attended to by friendly staff throughout our visit. I had the La Parisienne crepe and it was so unique and cheesy. The guava and cheese croissant was so buttery I could've had two more. The star of the show was the banana foster French toast. My oh my... this was amazing!!! It is accompanied by a vanilla cream. This place has officially become our Sunday morning breakfast spot
google avatar

Christopher V.

Yelp
Great local breakfast spot, the twin owners have the most adorable French accents. Friendly staff, and fast service. Their breakfast is amazing; you can taste the fresh, quality ingredients. It's become my go to spot, merci les jumeaux!
google avatar

Carol M.

Yelp
Delicious crepes and coffee. We went for breakfast on a Sunday morning and had the crepe La Parisienne with a fried egg. It was delicious and made to order. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Nour I.

Yelp
Amazing little gem on Coral Way. The French twin brothers that own the place are great. They are there preparing all the meals and make the place run. My only criticism is that the other staff members can be more professional and kind to customers. Typical Miami vibe. I still give them 5 stars because the savory crepes and the French toast are delicious! We will be back.
google avatar

Agostina B.

Yelp
El ambiente es pequeño, su comida es buena y tiene una server que atiende muy bien. Y si no me equivoco está atendido por su dueño también. Soy fanática de las French toast y las pruebo en todos lados
google avatar

Angel N.

Yelp
Very rude waitress! Unacceptable attitude! The food wasn't good at all, poor quality. Will never be back ...
google avatar

Yelp
There was a worm in my strawberries, I'm not sure if it's normal but I paid for the meal and left , I got a free cappuccino for the incident tho
google avatar

Yelp
Food is delicious affordable, and fresh very convenient if you want a local place in the area. Chef is french they make fresh pastries everyday.
google avatar

Frank L.

Yelp
Had a savory crepe and it was down right delicious! The owners were also very cool, felt like I stepped into paris.

Sophia R.

Yelp
Love this place!!!! Best vibes, feels like you teleport to paris. Food was delicious too and sat at the bar so service was quick and attentive!

Carolina R.

Yelp
Food is great service amazing too and ambience just smells a little weird because of the bathrooms and the plumbing but everything else is great! Edit: some workers are rude and some are really nice! I had a little poem lol but it got fixed by the nice worker.
google avatar

Rodolfo L.

Yelp
Authentic food, kind people, good value. Good location. Local Ambiance. Overall a nice experience
google avatar

Mafe R.

Yelp
I was out for a run on Sunday when I stumbled across Café Croissant and I loved it. It's a small authentic French bakery/cafe that serves lovely breakfasts, and great coffee! The place was very small and full of clients when I went, but it only added to the feeling of a family-owned bakery. They serve breakfast all day, crepes, fresh bread (croissants) and much more. Safe to say I'll be back very soon!
google avatar

Xavier G.

Yelp
Egg sandwich This is the perfect egg sandwich. High quality ingredients used to make simple food, can't be beaten.
google avatar

SR T.

Yelp
Over rated. We missed the croissants as they were almost all sold out by the time we arrived. Had scrambled eggs with cheese and veggies and french toast. Eggs were weird and soft. French toast was eggy. Latte was meh. I bought one of the last remaining plain croissants and it was dry.
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
google avatar

Joey M.

Yelp
The food is always delicious, rich but not overbearing, all made with love, served quickly , super chill spot with moderate prices that can be appreciated considering how expensive literally everything in Miami is . Love coming here for nice intimate breakfast especially.

Kaitlyn M.

Yelp
I've been wanting to go to a French bakery for a long time now. Came across this bakery on Yelp and gave it a shot. We ordered a cappuccino, iced coffee, croissant, and scrambled eggs with fries and a baguette. Everything tasted fresh and home made. The owners were so nice and made sure everything was to our liking. The inside is very cozy and feels like a hole in the wall. Highly recommend, and will definitely be back again!!
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
My favorite breakfast place! Authentic, fresh and so french. The almond croissant is one of the best I've had. The french toast with banana and berries are amazing, I love that they do not use cinnamon just great quality fruits. The Chantilly cream is everything, simple and perfectly sweet.
google avatar

Aileen R.

Yelp
Very cute place at reasonable prices. They hand made their own crossants and filled it with delicious treats inside
google avatar

Lucy R.

Yelp
Wow! My girlfriend and I were looking for a nice breakfast place and what a find. It's a small restaurant with a very friendly environment. Having only lived in Miami for a short time we have almost become accustomed to the umm... less than friendly service around the area. It was a surprise when our server was not only friendly but incredibly helpful. We both had the latte. She had the French toast and I had the steak sandwich. We were beyond delighted by everything we ordered. We are definitely heading there next time we are itching for good food. Oh!! P.s them fries are boom!!!
google avatar

Barbie O.

Yelp
I strongly recommend this Cafe, it's super cozy and the attention is Superb. Pascal, his brother and all the workers are super friendly, the food is delicious as well as the service. No matter how many people are there, they have a fast and friendly service. From the time you order to the time the food is services are s minutes, I strongly recommend this small and cozy Cafe to everyone, once you visit you are going to want to visit often

Yelp
Authentic French cafe that is very small and quaint. The men who I assume were the owners because they were speaking French seemed to know a lot of the local customers. Since we went to Paris I have been craving a croque madame and real almond croissants. Unfortunately the croissants were gone (should have grabbed those last two chocolate ones when we first came in) we ordered a croque madame and a croque monsieur along with Nutella crepes and a ham scramble. My 8 year old son loved the ham scramble. They even brought out some heated French bread with it which was so good. We all got fruit as our sides and they give you a large portion of fresh fruit. The crepes were wonderful. The croques were the only reason we took off one star. They were not as we expected. Normally a croque has a béchamel but we didn't seem to have any and it is normally on a toasty flat bread where as this was on a delicious French bread BUT it was slathered with Dijon instead of béchamel which normally has a slight Dijon flavor. I hate mustard but when it's in a béchamel it's fine but having both sides of the bread covered in Dijon (which it did not say on the menu) was an unpleasant surprise. It also had a deli sliced sort of ham which is not the norm as well. On a side note, the bathroom is DISGUSTING. There was black mold all over the pipes next to the toilet.
google avatar

Yulia Z.

Yelp
Very tasty food. Absolutely everything that we ordered was beautiful and tasty (eggs, sandwiches, croissants, pancakes). The cafe is very clean. Service is polite and fast. The staff is friendly.

Yelp
I havent been able to be back since COVID, but today was the day. I mean, they still keep high quality with amazing prices. Le parisiene (idk how to write it), the one with eggs on top, is my favorite. I usually do ham instead of turkey. The crepe, cheese, ham and egg make an amazing combination of breakfast. This is the spot for something great on quick stop. I totally recommend it.

Cristian F.

Yelp

Yelp
Food was some the best I've ever had. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone is looking for brunch. Had a party of 8 and sat at two tables which was fine. Food came out fast and hot. One order was incorrect but the cook came out personally to apologize and give our new order. Our waitress is the only reason this is not a 5 star review.
