"The cafe is still slinging ham and cheese Benedicts and Sacramento’s best chocolate chip pancakes. Don’t forget the Temple coffee. Curbside pickup and delivery through DoorDash." - Illyanna Maisonet

Food was incredible. Tasted so fresh and high quality. Presentation was nice. Quiet and slow morning which made it a quaint gathering. Pastries looked delicious though I didn’t try one. Got the Protein Bagel and ice coffee. Coffee came hot so I took off a star for that as well as ordered it to go and it came plated for here so we ate in instead. Staff was okay. Try it.

Lovely small spot! Definitely a nice date spot and friend catch up! A bit tight with the parking on weekends but it is casual brunch worthy! I think the food service was good, fresh taste and big portions ! Not a huge fan of the shoestring fries I think that may be my only complaint for Burgers and Sandwiches

Google
A local recommendation led me to this gem with a breezy outdoor patio. The counter-service model keeps things casual, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I savored a flaky, buttery pastry (albeit slightly overpriced) paired with a tiramisu latte. Unfortunately, the latte's flavor leaned a bit artificial. The salmon Benedict ultimately felt just okay. The accompanying potatoes were the weakest part of the dish. Overall, it's a delightful spot for coffee and a relaxed atmosphere, but breakfast dishes may not justify the price.

The strawberry matcha latte was good but a tad bit too sweet. The Curtis park Benedict’s were enjoyable, an ordinary Benedict Sadly, the cinnamon and currant French toast were disappointing. They were pretty dry and was expecting to taste the currant more.

The ambiance and vibe of this place is so beautiful, it’s like you’re stepping into a garden! The owners have done a wonderful job with location decorating this space. Also there is unlimited (regular brewed) coffee refills when you order coffee and dine in. The drinks are delicious and haven’t let me down, but the food itself is not flavorful enough for me or my friends I take with me. The prices for the food is also over priced for the portions they give so it especially is disappointing when the food doesn’t taste how you want it. Let me tell you, I’ve been to this place about 3-4 times and every time, I get not so great service. Most of the staff never smile, my friend’s items were forgotten, and they just seem like they don’t want to be helping you. I’m not sure what it is, but I don’t ever feel welcome when I go there. The banana bread French toast was good, but again drier than most French toast due to the banana bread part. I still have yet to find a good milky banana bread French toast. Also the fresh fruit on top was sour and not ripe yet.

Lovely experience from beginning to end. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff were kind, and the food was tasty. I had the Breakfast Crepe and my husband had the Sacramento Scramble. Both were very good. We'll definitely return for lunch or dinner.

The food was so clean and fresh, and the variety of food didn't disappoint. Hubs got the turkey sandwich with fries and clam chowder. I got the chicken skewer and the strawberry crepe. Nothing was over seasoned or salty or too sweet. We will def be back!

Other than the Fries This Place is a One and Done For Me. I ordered the Pepper Burger took one bite and already Knew everything I needed to know. This is Bland Passionless food NO seasoning what so ever. Perfectly cooked and flavorless meat. SMH... My son ordered the strips once again bland but the strip itself was good and tender just bland. The fries are good Really good. BUT NOT WORTH EATING HERE AGAIN. when we walked in 4 gentleman were at the counter which is sad because the bathroom was a complete mess.

Yelp
I went to Cafe Dantorels with a friend for brunch this past Sunday. This place has cute outside seating. We went inside and got in line to order. The line was fairly short for a Sunday at 11 AM. We ordered the Benedicts: I had the chorizo and my friend had the smoked salmon. We each ordered a delicious coffee--I had the mocha latte, and she had the lavender latte. Our drinks came first, and we enjoyed them for a bit. Our food came shortly after. The plates were loaded with home fries, and the food was delicious. The eggs were perfectly poached, and the chorizo was spicy but well-balanced. Our waitress dropped off our food, and that was the last time we saw her. Once we were done, a separate person picked up our dishes. I get it--they are not working for tips since we order and pay before we sit down. The restaurant was well-decorated, and there were plenty of tables inside and outside. I would go back and try a dessert or something sweet next time.

Yelp
The food over the years has diminished in quality greatly. Today, I asked for the steak fettuccine Alfredo and they gave me chicken. The Alfredo was incredibly sour and the ingredients were lazy and low quality. Canned olives, feta cheese, and cooked spinach is not exactly a great combo for an Alfredo. The only redemption was the garlic bread. The servers were nice but overall, Y'all need a serious do over for the menu.

Nikki S.

Yelp
$83 for turkey burger with fries, two eggs, side of bacon, cappuccino, cinnamon roll, and an iced coffee. 20% tip included. We sat outside and I had immediately regretted our choice. The patio and tables look like they haven't been cleaned since, well ever. The flies and fly traps hanging above our head should have also been a sign to skip this place. Forgot the add vanilla to the coffee, delivered the turkey burger and another 15 minutes for the eggs, after we had to ask where the rest of the meal was. I don't write reviews to bash the place, but to alert others about the amount of money they will be spending for a sub par meal and experience. $83 is well over priced.

Yelp
We stopped by Cafe Dantorels after dinner for coffee. It is a great place to sip coffee and continue our conversation. We ordered the cortado, lavender latte, and banana bread latte. My favorite was the banana bread. It had the perfect amount of sweetness and it was very delicious. I will definitely visit again in the future.

Dilraj S.

Yelp
Plenty of ambiance space inside. Variety of foods and drinks to choose from. Coffeee to beer. Bfast to lunch. Good spot for laptop work. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating

Naomi A.

Yelp
Beautiful patio seating, quick service, and amazing food. You can simply order at the front, pay, and sit wherever you like. You get all the benefits of fine dining and all the efficiency of quick service. Now let's talk food. The coffee is legendary. They use temple coffee espresso and in season flavors for a well balanced and fully flavored latte without being sweet and let's not forget the stunning presentation. The grilled cheese Benedict was well balanced and flavorful and didn't feel as heavy as you think a full grilled cheese sandwich topped with an egg and hollandaise would be. They ask you how you prefer your eggs to be poached and deliver perfect texture every time. The chorizo Benedict was well spiced and full of flavor and perfect for anyone interested in a keto style breakfast, as it featured eggs, salsa verde, spinach and no bread. Perfect for the aspiring gym rat or keto king/queen. As always 11/10

Yelp
$58 for two crepes, a fancy coffee and a soda? Yikes!! Based on that alone I am not sure if I will return for a while. Atmosphere is nice, friendly staff but crepe really just had way too much cheddar cheese in it. Kinda overwhelmed the rest of the flavors, making it taste less Mediterranean than I would have liked. Banana bread latte was very nice and being able to sit outside and enjoy a nice Spring afternoon saved the day.

Mark F.

Yelp
Came back with son. We got two Brie Candied Bacon Burgers. Excellent. Big and messy in a good kind of way. So big it's hard to take a bite. Generous amount of great fries.

Kathy T.

Yelp
This place is the cutest! Especially outside. Definitely a place to go on a warm nice weather and enjoy some coffee and food. You order upfront then pick your seat and the food will be brought to you. I love the different options of food they have.

Vanessa V.

Yelp
The restaurant was interesting -- looks more like a cafe, but they serve full on dinner inside! We went for my friend's birthday dinner and we felt overdressed there. It's extremely casual. Although we did see a baby shower being hosted in their outdoor patio area. I had their fettuccine with shrimp. I ate it all. The shrimp (prawns) were small, but I thought it was still tasty! I would order it again. I had a lemon drop and that was delicious!

Yelp
Dinner for 5 of us after a live theater show at the near by Sierra 2 arts & community center. Food is decent. Portion sizes are huge. Prices are reasonable. What any one will expect for a wait on-line to order from the cashier, get a number and sit at a table for the food to arrive. Food was placed before us soon after siting down. Dining room is industrial / funky vibe. No romance here, just utilitarian. Employees are young and cheerful. American style menu that is heavy on the salads with a protein on top. Cake slices are humongous, moist and flavorful. Wine / beer / soft drinks selection is plain jane variety with a glass that will satisfy just about everyone. If you are hungry in Curtis Park and have a big appetite you will enjoy Dentorels.

Monica L.

Yelp
This place is a beautiful cafe to go to with friends for brunch. the portion is sufficient for the price, the food is pretty decent and the service is on point there! Any drink you get here chai, coffee, down to the water is bomb! To be fair they infuse their water with cucumber and other herbs. I had the Brie candied bacon burger and the Curtis park eggs Benedict's. The fries for the burger meal were yum, and the burger was delicious but a little dry and needed more sauce. The eggs Benedict' was good but could do without the tomatoes. It made it a little soggy . All in all great experience !

Yelp
Café Dantorels is slept on I feel. Yeah they have crepes but did you know their regular food menu is actually super legit and creative. I got the spicy pasta of some sort and my friend got beef kabobs I wanna say? Something like that. Meat is $5 extra on the side which seems unfair cuz the menu says it is a set price but you have to specify meat. Whatever. It all tasted good and I accidentally eated all of it. Plus the dessert listed in the photos. Yes both of them. In one day. They were very sweet and I couldn't distinguish much aside from that. Coffee cake donut and Reese's pieces cookie. Self explanatory. The donut was vegan and gluten free for my GF friend but it got eaten by me. I can at least vouch that gluten free and vegan didn't stop it from tasting good for next time. Patio seating with fire pit out back you have to look for it. Very nice. Also apparently they used to a random customer created board game night on Wednesdays? Not sure if that's around but it's unposted and something to look into at some point.

Sienna S.

Yelp
I came here to find a nice spot to read my book and grab some breakfast, and I really liked it! I have a Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity, and they had a few solid options. I settled on the chorizo benedict (marked Gluten Free) and it was very tasty. I'd like to go back and try some of their other options. I also thought the wait staff was really kind. I was there alone and got up to use the bathroom and I asked the server to watch my table, but it was cleared by mistake. The waitress was so nice and offered me a new plate of food for the mix-up! I'll definitely be coming back!

Randy N.

Yelp
I visited Dantorels recently and was impressed with the quality of the food. The flavors were delicious, and the presentation was top-notch. However, I did find the prices to be a bit on the higher side. Overall, it's a great spot if you're willing to splurge a bit for a tasty meal. 4 stars!

Yelp
Had brunch with a friend here and it was pretty nice ! The service is great ! The food was fast and fresh! We love the outdoor seating options it was the perfect day today. We enjoyed all of our selections. Total with tip was $95 for 3 entrees, a coffee and an ice tea. Might be pricey but a good area to catch up and eat. You order and pay then find a seat they bring it out to you.

Yelp
I hadn't really thought much about this place until somebody I follow on Instagram had featured their banana bread latte and the outdoor fireplace table. We decided to go check it out on a Saturday morning. It was a cold morning and we went when they opened at 8:00, so we were the only ones out on the patio. The fire kept us warm and our kids thought it was so neat! This is a counter service style place. Order up front and then they'll bring the food to your table. It did take a little bit to get our drinks and food but the place was getting pretty busy considering they just opened. The menu has a nice variety of breakfast items and they have seasonal drinks also. It was definitely on the pricier side so you should expect restaurant pricing and not coffee shop/cafe pricing. Our dishes were close to $20 each so after those and two coffees and a scone, we ended up paying about $60 which seems steep for breakfast. Banana Bread Latte - comes with banana chips on the side! This was so delicious and I'd definitely order it again. Banana Bread French Toast - very generous portion! I took home half for leftovers. It's very dense since it's banana bread but I loved the mascarpone with all the other sweet elements. Just wish they put more of it and wish the sliced bananas were ripe! Grilled Ham and Cheese Benedict - this was the winning dish. So savory and cooked really well! I actually preferred it over another famous grilled cheese benedict in Sacramento. Nutella Cappuccino - I was excited about this one but the Nutella flavor wasn't quite there. It was all coagulated at the bottom so maybe the coffee was not hot enough when it got added on top. Also this is not a traditional cappuccino since it was latte size. Overall loved the ambiance and the coffee here. It was a solid brunch place but wouldn't come regularly because of how expensive it is, but would definitely add it to the list to go to with a friend or special occasion!

Yelp
I went to brunch this morning with a couple of my girlfriends. They have plenty of seating inside/outside, but decided to get there as soon as they opened just to be safe. You order at the counter first and your food is brought to your table. The menu had a wide variety of options, including beverages. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Benedict and the Mascarpone Toast to share. The portions were definitely worth the price! I left full and happy.

Leilani Q.

Yelp
3.75 stars The place itself is adorable, ample seating, it had garden vibes, Mediterranean vibes, casual, but also good for date nights and a meal out with the lady friends. Walking in I didn't expect it to be a walk up & order type of place, which really helps when you don't want to deal with splitting checks at the end. I really liked the restaurant itself. We sat in the outer part where the waterfall is, but the downside to that, especially when it's raining is there's no way to keep yourself warm. There is no outdoor heaters there and when it's raining you can't really hear what the friends you are with are saying very well. The huge shared table with a fire on it was gorgeous aesthetically but it doesn't help foster communication with the person across from you. It does lend a little warmth but not much. We went on a Sunday afternoon so lots of ppl were out in force. The menu is pretty extensive. You will see something for all tastebuds there. They have omelets, even seen a tofu one for those who don't eat meat, steak & eggs, 7 types of eggs benedicts, I seen a portobello eggs benedict that sounded lovely, 6 types of bagels, a lox one that sounded good, dessert crepes, my friend had the strawberry crepe she said she gets a lot, they also have dinner crepes, sandwiches, soups, teas, coffee by Temple, burgers, pasta, entrees. I wanted a salad specifically and yelp rated the salmon salad really high. Unfortunately, I really disliked the lemon vinaigrette dressing a lot. It was way too tart and unpalatable. Hubby got the steak salad which was a different dressing and so yummy. So we switched and I ended up eating his salad. If I ever went back I'd try the portobello benedict, a portobello crepe, or a California crepe which has sun dried tomato pesto, avocado, and spinach in it. But I'd eat inside due to how cold it was last time outside. Due to space I'd say it can accommodate groups and casual dates but I personally wouldn't suggest it for an intimate date because it's loud in there and the way to pay is not exactly formal. Service wasn't super great, we barely seen our server, maybe just 1 time when we got our food. I'd be okay trying the food again but it's not a place I'd go for a date with my Hubby, maybe just something casual and definitely for the ambience.

Yelp
We met a group of 5 and amazingly we were able to sit at a round table. The worker said to give her a few minutes and she will clean the table for us! My husband had the burger with avocado with fries and said it was great. I had the tuna melt with salad that I had to take home half my sandwich for dinner! We haven't eaten here in awhile as I think of the parking as being challenging but we were able to find a parking spot with no problem!

Barbara S.

Yelp
If you are in Curtis Park and need a quick meal with lots of choices on the menu, you will enjoy this Cafe. You order at the cash register, then find a table, and they have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Portions are quite generous and flavorful. Good choices for the vegetarians in your group as well. Service was easy and friendly. Prices decent too!

Anelyssa D.

Yelp
Came here and I loved the vibe of this place! Coffee bar, kitchen, bakery items, and good service. Honestly this place is really cute! Pipes drip on you from time to time when you wait in line, but I didn't mind a little cool down here and there. The food was okay to me, I ordered the chipotle chicken burger, the chicken itself was very flavorful but the burger itself was okay. The guacamole didn't stand out as much as I would of liked but I ate it. Can't waste food The almond croissant me and my friends shared it was pretty good. I would love to try more of their bakery items possibly in the near future. The banana latte lacked the banana flavor but was a good latte. Coffee tasted nice and rich and the ice was a good amount. If it had banana it would of been really good. My friends review on her burger wasnt the best. She didn't like the sauce they added to hers so she didn't eat it. She gave it a 6/10. But the carrot juice mixed in with orange juice I believe was 9/10 from all of us! Very fresh tasting. My other friend ordered the pasta she gave it a 9/10. No complaints. Her dish came out reasonably fast. I would recommend this place for pastries and coffee. Not sure for the food yet, may stop by for a study session. Overall it's a nice place to relax and vibe with friends.

David M.

Yelp
Food was just ok, not too much flavor. Zero table service. Cashier was very rude as well, not very welcoming at all. Had a menu right in front of her when we asked and instead she said go to the door and get one - with absolutely nobody in line. Didn't get her name - but had a bruise under her eye - in case mgmt does read this.

Crystal N.

Yelp
I'm disappointed to have to write this review. I really wanted to like this place! The first thing I noticed upon arrival is that Café Dantorels offers an open and inviting atmosphere, unless you're a guest with mobility issues. The interior is roomy, but not very accessible. Their outdoor setting features a pleasing array of foliage, but again, isn't ideal for those with mobility limitations. In terms of service, it was hit or miss. Some staff seemed oblivious to our presence, whereas others, including the server who brought out our food, were quite pleasant. The ordering process left much to be desired. Expect a long line and a somewhat confusing process where you order and pay at the counter before scouting for a table. Sadly, the food was the main disappointment. Our Breakfast Burrito was unimpressive and bland, failing to meet the standards of cheaper places like Adalbertos or Carolinas. The Grilled Cheese & Ham Benedict was mediocre at best, though the poached eggs were perfectly cooked. The Classic French Toast met the basic expectations, nothing more. The a la carte potatoes were bland, and the over medium egg was inappropriately cooked, its consistency unappetizing. It's disheartening to spend $100 on a breakfast experience that felt lackluster in every sense. The practice of pre-paying for meals adds to the disappointment, as it discourages complaints about food quality. Based on our experience, we won't be returning. The glowing reviews on here leave us scratching our heads - our visit simply didn't match up to the hype.

Angela A.

Yelp
Came here for a work holiday party and it was a great time! The back patio had the perfect amount of space for our big group! The fire pit was keeping us warm. Great service from staff! Super friendly and accommodating! The drinks were tasty. I got the Paloma and seafood fettuccine! Super flavorful and filling!

Amy H.

Yelp
Cafe Dantorel's does not disappoint. I've been here twice and both times the coffee is amazing and the food is top tier as well! The seating inside is pretty ample and usually full but there's a patio seating with a cool fireplace table and if that's full, there's side seating as well. I don't usually love sidewalk seating but this offers more privacy than most places as you're set back from the actual sidewalk. We love coming here and will definitely be back!

Yelp
HONEST REVIEW: Highly recommend: Pear & Berries French toast w/ a latte of choice Pros: fresh!! light! Neutral: low sodium/ low sweetness Con: fries and potatoes (in n out taste and soft & potatoes a toss of butter and crispiness) Upon entry this cafe is pay/order first then self seat. Staff were friendly and accommodating. They bus your table as you finish your plates. Clean setting. Latte: we ordered a iced pistachio and a lavender latte. Lavender was tasty and present. The pistachio lacked a bit of taste but when we paired both with the French Toast it was a hit! The roasted almonds brought out the taste of the pistachios in the latte. Sacramento Scramble: tasty but lacked texture. Food was fresh and wasn't too salty. So great for those who prefer low sodium. We just added to taste. Potatoes could have been crispier. Overall the plate was light and fresh. Italian Sandwhich: fries were fresh. Reminded me of in n out fries. The sandwhich was light and tasty! Super fresh ingredients. We loved it. Bread was soft and light. Enough cheese with the bite. Filling portion. Pear and Berries French Toast: the QUEEEN of the dishes! I'm not a big fan of getting ft bc it's often too sweet. This plate was perfect and fresh. The roasted almonds brought a great crunch. The pears were spiced and warm. The berries brought in a great fresh taste. The bread was also soft and easy to cut. Paired with the lattes it was a great meal!!! HIGHLY recommend.

Dan K.

Yelp
This place was pretty good. With breakfast being one of my favorite meals of the day, I randomly came across this place while passing through and wanting to try a new place. The restaurant felt a little bit more like a diner than a restaurant. But, it was spacious, service was fast and if you beat the rush, the line isn't too long. The food was good. I ordered eggs Benedict. They were a solid 4 stars, with salmon. Would definitely order again and recommend to others. Their cream cheese muffin was really good as well. It's all street parking which isn't bad, but, I've heard other times can be a miss, if you don't come early enough. All in all, good visit, just don't sit by the door, lol.

Velia M.

Yelp
Love meeting my friends/family here for brunch. No need to worry about splitting checks because you walk up and order at the counter. Coffee is good, especially their lattes with their cute art! I've enjoyed just about everything I've ordered here. One of my faves is the Lox Bagel that has cream cheese, smoked salmon, spinach, cucumbers, onions, and capers (I omit the onions). So delicious! PS if you have horrible seasonal allergies like I do, you may not want to sit outside, no matter how beautiful the day is. The times I sat out there, almost immediately my eyes got watery, and I got stuffy.

Vanessa V.

Yelp
I came here yesterday for a quick lunch and coffee. The place is very clean and cute. You order at the counter and then they bring your order out to you so its not wait service. I got the steak salad which just had some pretty basic ingredients, not amazing. The dressing was a little bland. I also ordered the iced tiramisu latte with oat milk which was a 10/10! Soo good! Although my meal was just good, the service was great and place is clean. I definitely want to come back and try their brunch menu.

Sibel A.

Yelp
This is best coffee place in Sacramento. I know that there is a strong Temple following, but I promise you if you try this place, you will not be disappointed. I have tried almost all the coffee shops in Sacramento, looking for the perfect place and I have finally found it. I order the Tiramisu Latte and the flavor was just out of this world good. I am pretty sure that the barista put cinnamon and cocoa powder on the bottom of the drink so when you get to the bottom, it's like just ending the most delicious slice of tiramisu. I will say don't get the muffins because they are extremely dry and unpleasant, which is why I took off one star. Additionally, there is outside seating to have private conversations and do some work!

Lesley B.

Yelp
Delicious food with fresh ingredients. Crêpes are their specialty, but they have a good variety of pastas, sandwiches, salads etc. Freshly baked goodies, too. Pretty patio and indoor and outdoor seating.

Saleshni A.

Yelp
Went there with kids at like 4 on a Sunday. Place was pretty empty. The young lad at the register seemed in a hurry to take our orders. Never asked if we wanted drinks or desserts. We wanted to sit outside by the fire but it smelled like trash outside . So we sat inside by the door. Table was dirty so had to call someone to wipe it down. We ordered 2 alcohol drinks, aperol spritz n blackberry margarita. They were out of the jalapeño mezcal ‍. Aperol was hella bitter. Margarita was tooo sweet. Food came out before the appetizer did. We had to remind the girl we were waiting on garlic fries. No one came to Chk after. My seafood pasta was good. But it definitely didn't have prawns. It had shrimps. There is a difference in a shrimp n prawn. Son had chicken crepe. He liked it. Daughter's salmon sandwich was dry n her fries were sad like they were sitting out for a while. It's an ok place for a quick bite. But I may not return for a while. Not impressed.

Yelp
Great ambience! Basically, this is the classic neighborhood cafe of your dreams. Love the pastry display, the drinks (strawberry matcha!), and overall vibe. Wish there were more dairy free options on the menu, but I still love this place!

Yelp
Delicious cocktails and a good spread of food! We have mostly gone there for lunch and dinner, and have enjoyed the variety of food that is available L.

Yelp
One of my bucket list items. It's been about 6 years since I deemed it necessary to come and visit. Within seconds of entering the staff guides you through the process of the way to order. The ambience of this little jewel is a bit modern yet elegant at the same time. Cool colors decorate the foyer. You may choose the area to your left after you enter or right. We decided to go left. Such a beautiful setting with the layout calmly enticing you to relax and unwind. After deciding what you want from the menu you walk up to the counter to order. We ended up getting a soup and sandwich combo with a generous portion of slice and diced fire potatoes. The turkey sandwich was amazing with large slices of avocado. Within minutes I could have just indulged in the half sandwich just by itself. Even though I ordered the split pea soup I was happy with the sandwich. There's nothing like a steaming hot cup of coffee from Temple coffee. It was such a pleasant surprise to see that they served the coffee here. Coming here in the morning helps you relax. After awhile this place gets jumping and crowded. The menu gives you many different entrees to try. Many of the items listed intrigue the taste buds.

Christina L.

Yelp
Came for weekend brunch, so expect a wait. You order at the counter and sit anywhere where it is available. Benedict ($18.50) was pretty alright, a lot of spinach, but could have used a bit more seasoning. Overall, great ambiance (outside patio and inside), but was quite pricey for food.

Yelp
Yesterday's visit to Café Dantorels was a heartwarming experience, something I shared with my local friends. It was my first time there, and I was immediately taken by their unique system: you order first and then pick a table. I found this really efficient - it meant our orders were in the kitchen before we even sat down. The highlight for me was the tomato basil soup. It was the kind of soup that warms you up from the inside, perfect for the day. My wife, meanwhile, couldn't stop raving about the Mexican hot chocolate she had, topped generously with whipped cream. It was the kind of rich and comforting drink that you crave on a cold day. But it wasn't just the food that left an impression. The ambiance of Café Dantorels added so much to our visit. We sat in the patio area, which had this cozy fire pit table. It was just the right spot for a chilly day, keeping us toasty as we enjoyed our meal. We all shared the spicy avocado toast, and let me tell you, it was a flavor explosion! My friends also had chai tea lattes, and they kept mentioning how authentic they tasted. I ended my meal with some French toast, which was as fluffy and sweet as you'd hope. The best part? The café's atmosphere was so welcoming and relaxed that we ended up just sitting there, chatting and hanging out for a couple of hours. It's rare to find a place that makes you feel so at ease. Café Dantorels isn't just about great food; it's about creating those perfect moments where time just seems to stand still. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
Love love love Cafe Dantorels! The salads are my faves, burgers are amazing too, and the staff is the coolest! I love sitting on the back patio with fire and the water fall. I wanted to love the desserts but we found them to be dry, unfortunately. Perfect place for meeting up with friends, small biz meeting between 2-3 people, mid sized parties, or just to get out the house and enjoy one of the lovely tea blends. Cafe Dantorels has become a 'regular' for my friends and I.

Yelp
Food is way too expensive, the only thing good here is the Matcha which is $8 . They never close at their advertised time , they will stare you down when you are trying to open the door at 8 pm even though their hours state they are open later. Staff (young men) always have bad attitudes, If you could avoid this place there are other friendly family owned restaurants

Yelp
Food was okay, slightly over priced for what you get. Got eggs Benedict with potatoes, banana bread French toast and steak and eggs with potatoes and English muffin. Potatoes were cold and most likely just sat out. The Benedicts were good, good amount of bacon and the steak and eggs were good as well. The French toast was really good, got a lot of fresh fruit. Got a soda but that was super flat and not any syrup. The service was good, woman helped us at the counter and was sweet, some kid that brought out our food just wasn't friendly at all but he's young so whatever. The restaurant itself is pretty cute, lots of seating and the outdoor seating is clean with comfortable chairs. Overall underwhelmed so won't be coming back again.

Yelp
Food was good. Had a matcha latte which was one of the best I've had. Service was great. Very nice staff and cooks. Cute place to take pictures

Yelp
Ouch. It's still decent (although a bit smaller), but the breakfast crepe that used to be $9 is now $20. I like this place, but not THAT much.

Yelp
The café's ambiance is a perfect blend of modern elegance and rustic charm, with comfortable seating arrangements. Whether you're seeking a quiet spot to catch up on work or a cozy corner to chat with friends, Café Dantorels provides the ideal setting for any occasion. You order up front and wait for them to bring your food to you. Went on a rainy, Saturday night and it was not busy. I did want to sit in the patio where it had a fire pit and waterfall vibes, but was too cold. Will have to go on a warmer day. I was craving a cold beer and they had a good variety listed on the board on the wall. They also suggested some to me that was very helpful as this was my first time here. The food on the menu looked great so it was hard to choose. I ended up getting the spicy shrimp fettuccine with garlic bread! So delish!! My picture says it all!! My friend got the steak skewers with veggies and rice, also looked phenomenal. Great place and plenty of street parking. Definitely will go back to try other items on the menu!

Yelp
I've been to Cafe Dantorels a few times now and each time the food has been yummy. They also offer Temple coffee which is my faaaav and the latte is always so good! Can't go wrong with a sweet (banana bread french toast is so good) or savory dish for breakfast.

Yelp
With the exception of the food here that was fairly ok... the service provided by the workers was awful. Upon walking in we stood in line behind two singular people and proceeded to order 10 minutes later. The cashier couldn't figure out the system she was using while all other workers were standing around watching her with another cashier being unoccupied. After finally ordering we couldn't find a table to sit at outside due to the fact no one was bussing tables (which brought large amounts of flies around with food sitting out). We moved all dirty dishes of our table to one side and it wasn't cleaned until our coffees were brought out. Finally, when our food was brought to us they brought the wrong orders out and we had to wait for our food once more. Terrible experience.

Yelp
Cafe Dantorels was a delight. Tried their Eggs Benedict pasta and steak sandwich - both superb. Love the local touch with pastries and beer brewed in Sacramento. Cozy ambiance and great service seals the deal.

Yelp
The brunch gem of Curtis Park. Cafe Dantorels is a counter-service restaurant that serves quality table-service dishes. I went for an early brunch (that's breakfast, right?) and noticed a line out the door. Don't let that sway you. The line goes quick so it's best to peep the menu while in line so you're ready when it's your turn. Ya know, pay it forward. The inside feels like a cafeteria with a warm hug. Pragmatic, to the point, yet welcoming and a lovely reminder that it is a Sacramento business. Above the front table, they have a mural of Sacramento. Paying homage to what makes this neighborhood and this city the diamond in the rough the locals love to brag about. They have speciality omelettes (I ordered the Breakfast in Tijuana), Benedict's, and sweet treats. It's hard to choose one. Bring a friend and maybe you can order to share. They serve Temple Coffee, another local favorite of mine, and prepare a lovely tiramisu latte. The latte is truly the "pick me up" I needed after devouring a hearty plate (made with love, of course). We were sat outside. There are seats wrapped around the building's facade and seats in what would be the back patio. I sat in the patio which had a beautiful fire pit. It's summer as I write this so although the fire pit is of no use now, I could see it making the perfect ambiance to gab with friends over a wine. I will have to come back during the evening and order dinner. Til next time, Dantorels.
