ABSOLUTELY THE BEST KHINKALI
We found Cafe Daphna through social media and decided to try it. During meal times (especially lunch and dinner), there is an insane line outside. If you’re very hungry, waiting can be tough, but the potato & cheese khinkali alone is worth it. You can also politely ask the staff for takeaway and enjoy it at home without waiting in line.
The staff are extremely kind, warm, and friendly. They never make you feel rushed, patiently answer all your questions, and happily give recommendations.
As for the food, we’ve tried khinkali in many places, and this is truly the best. Also, you won’t find potato & cheese khinkali anywhere else ,don’t miss it.
We also ordered the mushroom pie, but unless you are 4–6 people, it’s way too much. The herb inside (coriander/cilantro) is overwhelmingly strong, to the point where it feels like you’re only tasting herbs.
STAY AWAY FROM THE PICKLES. Since we love pickles, we ordered a large plate, but they were overly salty, and the garlic pickles were far too acidic.
Prices are very reasonable. Two of us ordered almost everything to try, and the total came to 104 GEL (around $38). My recommendation: just go for khinkali and beer and you’ll be more than satisfied.
