Overall it was just ok. From the tap water provided, to the service and overall experience. I wasn’t a fan of my drink, a Carmel bear latte. Basically, the bears are ice cubes of either syrups, espresso, juice etc. they’re supposed to melt into the drink. So I was drinking room temperature Carmel syrup and milk, which wasn’t the best. I pushed the bear in the drink, but then my drink just tasted liked espresso. I ordered a classic banana crepe, which was ok. At first it was a little hard to get over the doughy taste, but the center that had more bananas and chocolate was good. From the moment we sat down, no one checked on us. It was only myself, my husband and son in there, but no one checked on us. As we were about to leave a group of Hispanic girls sat down. I noticed they did get checked on, which left me annoyed and curious as to why. Was it because my party mainly had males? Or could it have been because I’m Hispanic but my husband isn’t, and my son looks like him? The server wasn’t rude when she took our order, but wasn’t super friendly or looked engaged either. She did greet us, but that was about it. Overall just ok, but I can’t say I’ll be coming back, even though I live very close by. I wouldn’t say it was much of an experience. I hope the owners read the comments and recognize the areas of opportunity. I love to see small businesses thrive, and this cafe has a cute concept but needs to work on their customer service.
