Café de la Flor

Located on a perfect corner in Tijuana, Café de la Flor offers a modern visual experience with its traditional and folkloric details. I visited with high expectations for its food and that I will have a great experience with the service. While the space was a charm, the short visit turned out to be a bit of a “rollercoaster”. It is a solid spot for a casual meal, although it does somehow reach the 'culinary' level I expected given its reputation. The service was standard, our drinks arrived in 4-5 minutes, and the food arrived about 15 minutes later, nothing out of the ordinary. But, the hospitality was a little bit confusing. We were greeted with a neutral attitude from the hostess, which was a not so good start. Fortunately, our actual waiter was very friendly and attentive, saving the moment. During the visit, the guest will be tasting the best Iced Tea in Tijuana, which was a highlight because I really like iced tea. And for the meal, I will be eating a well-proportioned plate that has a great value for two people. In conclusion, the restaurant is a beautiful, well-located spot with good food. However, they could maybe work on their initial customer service to match their lovely decor. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

This is s review summarizing my experience during my first visit of this establishment on December the 29th of the year 2024: - Food: the dishes themselves score a 7/10, but elevated to a 8/10 thanks to a salsa that was🔥 -Service: good, regardless of their being a full house and they seemed short-staffed; no complaints in this department. -Atmosphere: typical Playami whitexican vibe; not particularly toxic today, although rather cloying. This review will be updated with subsequent visits.

There was a little wait to get in but it was worth it, I have to say this clear the food taste was amazing, i had some chilaquiles en salsa chipotle, green juice and hot chocolate. Everything was great to the taste.

I had an amazing breakfast and stellar service here. This was my first time visiting this restaurant so I wasn’t familiar with the menu. But Victor, the manager brought me an English menu and provided several great recommendations, and I love recommendations! I had the most amazing sopes I’ve ever had, the staff were warm, friendly and professional. I couldn’t ask for anything better and am definitely returning as that menu was loaded with great dishes. Nest experience I’ve had in a long time.

The duck picture was crooked but straitened by our waitress Azucena which is very friendly and provides great service. Recommend securing the duck picture so it remains straight. It bothered me throughout my whole dinner.

Loved the experience and we were lucky to get a parking spot right by the entrance I'm in California but hope to visit again soon
