Café de La Plage - Grand Théâtre de Genève

I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of the restaurant Café de la Plage in Plainpalais neighborhood in Geneva. Located conveniently within the same building as the Grand Théâtre, this restaurant combines elegance with exceptional cuisine. The service was warm, attentive, and efficient, making for a seamless dining experience. Both the lobster ravioli and the mushroom gnocchi were superbly flavorful—each dish prepared with skill and attention to detail. The quality of the food was outstanding, especially given the reasonable pricing. Overall, a fantastic choice for a pre- or post-opera meal. Highly recommended!

The food was amazing but I must say the service was outstanding. The man (wish I got his name) who served us was amazing! Even when busy took time to show us other places to go. Highly recommend!! Thanks for a great night

Cafe de la Plage restaurant offers a delightful culinary experience, even if the prices are a bit high. The steak and burrata ravioli were absolutely fantastic! The service is excellent, and while the menu has limited options, each dish is of high quality. Sometimes, less really is more.

The food was great, but the service was mediocre. When we asked for the explanation of what is the food we were presented, they said they’d explain in the end, but ultimately didnt. Also we asked for additional bread but it took them ages to bring it, we finished the meal in the meantime. But the food was very good, delicious. As I usually dont visit such high end places it was a nice experience.

my second visit, same friendly and attentive service. delicious dishes. beautiful decor, love how the restaurant changes the ambiance in the evening, the lighting, the blue table lamps, white table cloths, more patient service more relaxed guests. such a great experience to dine inside the Grand Théâtre, an iconic spot in Geneva.

5 stars isn’t enough for this place! Suited in the Grand theatre of Geneva, combining a chilled environment with really high quality tasty food! A must!

Nice food in a great location of Genève. Personnel was kind and accommodating. I’d happily come back and take their tasting menu.

Our first time here, and let me tell you - not our last. Food was excellent, we let ourselves be guided by the obviously very-experienced and knowledgeable Thibaud, our amazing server (and I believe manager too). Probably one of the best veggie entrée I've had with the fleur de courgette; add this to a selection of carefully curated dishes gracefully taken us all the way to a sumptuous desert... Add wine and the gorgeous Geneva sunshine and you're in for a lunch to remember! Next, we're trying dinner.
