The 25 Best Restaurants In Paris 2024 - Paris - The Infatuation

"You’ll typically find these types of classic corner cafes near metro stations or at big intersections, with large terraces that spill out onto the sidewalk and chalkboards promising prix-fixe deals. The food can be iffy, but this spot in Montmartre is solid and has everything you want from a place like this: rattan chairs, leather banquettes, and classic French dishes like oeufs mayonnaise, tartare de boeuf, and a fantastic foie gras. Stop by for lunch or dinner and order a fresh salad (a recent one came with squash and goji berries) or the duck fat burger that’s served with not-quite-skinny, not-quite-thick fries. (If it’s not on the menu, ask for it.) Cafe de Luce is a great destination to rest and refuel before or after hiking up and down the neighborhood’s many staircases or hidden cobblestoned passageways that lead to the Sacré Coeur cathedral or the Moulin Rouge cabaret, especially since it’s open for continuous service on the weekend." - Sara Lieberman

Went for dinner, staff was very personable and patient with us. The restaurant was very quaint and food was delicious. Gravlax was one of the best I ever had, for a chef that is amazing. One issue, my steak was ordered medium rare and came out well done… frites were barely warm, they took it away and came with a new on cooked properly. Desserts were tasty and simple.

If you need to read a review because you aren’t sure about taking a chance here, I hope you’ll read this: with all the amazing places to eat in Paris, there is absolutely NO REASON to waste a meal here. We ordered two cesar salads and I’ve never seen such a disgusting thing served in any restaurant i’ve been to in Paris. The chicken was unedible and raw, and the salad literally consisted of a whole bag of romain lettuce with old parmesan granules; there wasn’t even any sauce (16euros btw). The fries were cold, expensive and soggy. When we told the manager he said he wouldn’t charge us for one of the salads and he then proceeded to LEAVE the restaurant, so we had to argue with the waitress to actually get it removed from the bill. Do yourself a favor and go to literally any other restaurant on this street. I’ve tried almost every single one and they are far better than this. Only reason to come here would be to enjoy a beer or a drink, as the setting is quite nice, but they definitely use this as an excuse to serve their customers disgusting, rancid food.

Cafe Luce was highly recommended by Paris by Mouth, and it didn't disappoint. Given the heat, we sat inside and had a wonderful meal that was both beautiful and delicious. Two of us had the seabass with grilled vegetables. Magnifique!

This is the first 5 star review I've made, and I genuinely mean every star. My bf and I have been in Europe for 10 days, and this was OUR favorite meal so far, by far. I expected all food in Paris to taste this special and this good and Cafe de Luce honestly blew other meals out of the water. The restaurant itself is SO charming and beautiful. I can't even begin to explain how delicious the food is; every bite was a treat. Bruno, one of the chefs, was so kind and he and his friend (I feel terrible for forgetting his name), really put genuine effort into their plates. If you are in Paris, I recommend coming here it is WELL worth it, but maybe don't come first because then you won't want to eat any other meals after ;) Friendly staff, beautiful environment, stellar food. (FYI, we ordered 2 apps, 2 drinks, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts and it was a little more than 100 euros, we considered that absolutely affordable for what we ate!)

The evening got off to a great start, after we were a little cold at the door we were allowed to move again. When the starter and wine arrived, our spirits soared and the mood was set for a great evening. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. We had both ordered the faux fillet on point (rember that's even less than medium) well it arrived more than well done. I had told the waitress about it, but as it was already late in the evening and we didn't want to throw the meat away, we agreed on a free dessert. Some of the meat was left over anyway, because it's hard to finish something that dry. It was a bit cold the whole time, but halfway through the meal the other guests left and they started clearing up. The door was open because the tables were brought in from outside, and this was in February, so we felt reminded every second that the place was about to close. After we had the feeling of being kicked out, were freezing and didn't feel like having dessert, I told the waitress again that unfortunately dessert was no longer suitable, but that the meat was a pity. Unfortunately, the price wasn't adjusted and I ended up spending €133 for two for a disappointing evening. As good as it started, that's how much it tailed off. Too bad - it could have been so nice. At least the wine was delicious and made the evening bearable.

Visited this place recommended by a friend. Loved the atmosphere so much. We had the best french food in Paris for the past 4 days, loved the lamb shoulder, mushroom soup and pear tart. Unfortunately we dint manage to try the Truffle Croissant because it's only available on weekends. Me and my husband really enjoyed the food and service, will revisit in future :)

Friendly staff, nice place where you can sit both inside and outside. Didn’t have to wait that long for the food, we also got some bread while waiting. But we only got three pieces for five persons, strange. Food was well made and tasted good, but maybe a little too small for me. Kids pasta was very small so wouldn’t recommend for kids over 10. Overall a nice experience and a place to try French food.
