The 25 Best Restaurants In Paris 2024 - Paris - The Infatuation

"You’ll typically find these types of classic corner cafes near metro stations or at big intersections, with large terraces that spill out onto the sidewalk and chalkboards promising prix-fixe deals. The food can be iffy, but this spot in Montmartre is solid and has everything you want from a place like this: rattan chairs, leather banquettes, and classic French dishes like oeufs mayonnaise, tartare de boeuf, and a fantastic foie gras. Stop by for lunch or dinner and order a fresh salad (a recent one came with squash and goji berries) or the duck fat burger that’s served with not-quite-skinny, not-quite-thick fries. (If it’s not on the menu, ask for it.) Cafe de Luce is a great destination to rest and refuel before or after hiking up and down the neighborhood’s many staircases or hidden cobblestoned passageways that lead to the Sacré Coeur cathedral or the Moulin Rouge cabaret, especially since it’s open for continuous service on the weekend." - Sara Lieberman

A Truly Perfect Parisian Lunch! We stumbled upon Cafe de Luce while exploring Montmartre and it turned out to be one of the best meals of our trip! This is an absolutely charming and authentic Parisian cafe with a wonderful atmosphere. The food was simply outstanding and reasonably priced for the tourist area it is in. We tried a few different things and everything was delicious. The "La Grande Saucisse" was hearty, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The "Filet de Poisson" was incredibly fresh, light, and flaky. We also loved the "Légumes de Saison" which were the perfect side dish. The "Menu Dejeuner" is a fantastic deal for such high-quality food. To top it all off, the Voila limonade was incredibly refreshing. The service was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. If you're looking for a delicious, authentic meal in a beautiful setting, you absolutely must visit Cafe de Luce. We can't wait to come back! Five stars!

Went for dinner, staff was very personable and patient with us. The restaurant was very quaint and food was delicious. Gravlax was one of the best I ever had, for a chef that is amazing. One issue, my steak was ordered medium rare and came out well done… frites were barely warm, they took it away and came with a new on cooked properly. Desserts were tasty and simple.

This is the first 5 star review I've made, and I genuinely mean every star. My bf and I have been in Europe for 10 days, and this was OUR favorite meal so far, by far. I expected all food in Paris to taste this special and this good and Cafe de Luce honestly blew other meals out of the water. The restaurant itself is SO charming and beautiful. I can't even begin to explain how delicious the food is; every bite was a treat. Bruno, one of the chefs, was so kind and he and his friend (I feel terrible for forgetting his name), really put genuine effort into their plates. If you are in Paris, I recommend coming here it is WELL worth it, but maybe don't come first because then you won't want to eat any other meals after ;) Friendly staff, beautiful environment, stellar food. (FYI, we ordered 2 apps, 2 drinks, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts and it was a little more than 100 euros, we considered that absolutely affordable for what we ate!)

If you need to read a review because you aren’t sure about taking a chance here, I hope you’ll read this: with all the amazing places to eat in Paris, there is absolutely NO REASON to waste a meal here. We ordered two cesar salads and I’ve never seen such a disgusting thing served in any restaurant i’ve been to in Paris. The chicken was unedible and raw, and the salad literally consisted of a whole bag of romain lettuce with old parmesan granules; there wasn’t even any sauce (16euros btw). The fries were cold, expensive and soggy. When we told the manager he said he wouldn’t charge us for one of the salads and he then proceeded to LEAVE the restaurant, so we had to argue with the waitress to actually get it removed from the bill. Do yourself a favor and go to literally any other restaurant on this street. I’ve tried almost every single one and they are far better than this. Only reason to come here would be to enjoy a beer or a drink, as the setting is quite nice, but they definitely use this as an excuse to serve their customers disgusting, rancid food.

Close to Sacre Coeur in Montmatre, but without the touristy feel nor prices. Food had bundles of flavour, "butchers cut" delicious, but needed chewing well. The rest of the meal was excellent. Very quiet when we went at 14.00, so service very quick.

Cafe Luce was highly recommended by Paris by Mouth, and it didn't disappoint. Given the heat, we sat inside and had a wonderful meal that was both beautiful and delicious. Two of us had the seabass with grilled vegetables. Magnifique!

We booked the upstairs salon for 12 people, and everything was perfect. Delicious food and wonderfully attentive service. Strongly recommended!

Gorgeous cafe/restaurant-our server Kevin was fantastic and checked in as and when needed. Away from the crowds but still very handy stop off on the way up or down for refreshments!
