The Best New Restaurants In Paris - Paris - The Infatuation

"Is it the space that makes the food more enjoyable or vice versa? It’s a bit of both at this casual bistro in the industrial courtyard of a former sneaker factory from the 1930s. The restaurant is spread across two floors with an antique ceramic stove that greets you when you walk in and plenty of wrought iron, wooden beams, and 1940s-style bistro chairs and tables. The weekly changing menu has only a few options for starters, mains, and desserts, but you can be sure dishes are always rooted in French tradition, like the confit beef cheek with glazed vegetables, stuffed cabbage with spicy onion jus, or a pumpkin tart with a simple green salad. Lunch is a good deal for €25 but dinner, with five dishes for €45, is the better one, so book a table in the second-floor loft to dine beneath the skylights as the sun sets over Paris." - sara lieberman, lindsey tramuta, lindsey tramuta, lindsey tramuta, lindsey tramuta, lindsey tramuta, lindsey tramuta, lindsey tramuta, sara lieberman, sara lieberman, sara lieberman, lindsey tramuta, sara lieberman

Incredible find in the northern area of Paris. Go try it before they get their Michelin star. The experience was incredible. The wine paired was amazing. Every dish was balanced, full of flavor with seasonal fresh ingredients locally sourced.

We didn't check in advance that it was a fixed menu. Honestly amazing because you try things you would not usually order. It was really delicious. Also big fan of the kombucha. Service was quick and quite understanding when we called that we would be delayed (international trains..). So 5 stars all around:) Thanks for having us

An absolutely stunning experience that over-delivered in every way. The ingredients were full of flavor, tasting as if they had been caught or picked that morning (which they probably were). Additionally, the balance of each dish was laser-focused, with no ingredient overpowering the other and coming together brilliantly. The service was friendly, elegant, and professional, with perfect timing between each course. Finally, the wine suggested by the Somm paired perfectly with every course. The value could not be beat, and we have already booked our return visit. Definitely a must-dine when in Paris!

Go now while you still can. I agree with the previous reviewer - there are many hyped restaurants in Paris, but this exceeds the hype and more. It’s a gorgeous space in an old factory - a great setting for dinner. The food was stunningly executed, demonstrating thought, taste, class and control. It’s also incredibly good value.

Seems like people love this place, I think we were unlucky with the menu this week. The raw materials are good, but the service was a bit slow. The courses felt a bit flat, nothing was memorable, one of the courses was a drink so we left still hungry. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Local bites, beautifully prepared - would recommend. Had the Saturday lunch menu which was appropriately priced and satisfied all my desires.

Tucked away in a peaceful courtyard, Le Café de l'Usine has great food, warm service, and a charming setting.

I visited the restaurant for an early lunch reservation (1:00 PM) and chose to sit inside. The interior is pleasant: spacious, with high ceilings and a relaxed ambiance, especially for a Paris café. The menu is minimalistic, offering only two choices per category: aperitif, main course, and dessert. With such a limited selection, you'd expect them to have enough portions to cover the options, particularly so soon after opening (they begin service around 12:00 PM). However, by the time I sat down at 1:10 PM, one of the two main dishes was already unavailable. Given that the menu is fixed at €25 for at least two courses (excluding drinks), this was disappointing and frankly baffling. The aperitif was the highlight of the meal creative and enjoyable. For mains, the choices were ravioli or a fish dish with assorted vegetables. The latter turned out to be a glorified can of ratatouille paired with calamari (they claimed it was octopus), both of which wouldn’t feel out of place on a supermarket shelf at Carrefour. The presentation couldn’t disguise the underwhelming quality. Dessert consisted of a basic white cream served with a peach. Simple, but uninspired. To be blunt, if you placed the aperitif and the main dish in front of me without context, I wouldn't be able to tell which was meant to be which. For a location like Belleville, and considering the overall food quality, organization, and value for money, I don’t believe this restaurant holds up against its local competition. There are many other establishments in the area, French and international alike, offering far better meals for the same price. Moreover, there were 2 waiters at the time: a woman and a man. The woman was respectful, however the man was quite rude, almost screaming when asked a question, huffing and puffing to his coworkers after interacting în english to customers-the majority of which, from what I saw, being international. If you're looking for a meal rather than just an Instagrammable moment, I wouldn’t recommend spending your time or money here.
