Had to try this NOLA famous spot. They are Located in the airport in terminal A. They only serve beignets, coffee and drinks. The beignets tasted pretty good, but I would not describe them as great. It reminds me of an elephant ear at the carnival, but at the carnival there are more topping choices. I also tried their speciality coffee which is coffee and milk and it was good, but not great either. I prefer Starbucks. I’m up for trying anything once but I’d rather waste my calories on something else.

April 2025 Service was quick and easy at the airport terminal location. The beignets are delicious, in my opinion. I recommend this location.

Google
Convenient grab and go vibe with no tables with seating. Pretty quick and kind service. The beignet isn't as good as the Original Cafe Du Monde. Still recommend for those who wants quick beignet to take on the way. This location accepts credit card payment*

Google
Inside New Orleans airport, as you enter SWA terminal. There Ain’t no way this is the same beignet I got in the French Quarter. It taste like a completely different recipe. They were thick, doughy, and gummy. Opt for theChicory coffee. It’s most likely be fresh, because that’s why people go to Cafe Du Monde. The American tasted like it was made with old coffee. You can use a debit card there, but no app pay options are available. The service was great.

Google
Definitely a highlight on a New Orleans staple. We visited the original one on the food tour and then the other one near the Mississippi Meare’s bridge at the New Orleans art museum. Uniquely different but deliciously the same.

Google
Legendary here in these parts. Tourist and airport pricing but you have to do it. Fast service and fresh. Cash or physical credit cards only. No apple pay etc.

James Goerke

Google
Super friendly service. Especially for an airport location. Actually really liked that they make these on site and you can actually see them through the window so it’s fun for the kids to see.

Google
Not quite the same as the riverwalk or French quarter but still darn good before you leave. Frozen coffee was just as excellent. Definitely get a beginet before you leave

Yelp
Love it here! I'm so glad they have a location at the airport! It was very crowded when I was here. They have drinks, beignets and merch that you can grab right before you leave Nola. This location is right after TSA right before Gate B. It was very easy to find. The line moved quickly, and the employees were very friendly. I had a frozen mocha and it was so good! I have a lot of their merch and I inhaled a lot of beignets on this visit too; highly recommend last minute beignets!

Yelp
My crew and I HAD to stop at Cafe Du Monde before our flight! We look forward to these beignets anytime we have a New Orleans layover. I prefer getting my powdered sugar on the side to keep it a little less messy. Absolutely delicious!! Very nice staff and such a quick order. Perfect for travel days. Already looking forward to my next MSY layover!

Yelp
30 minute layover in New Orleans and I just happened to spot this Cafe du Monde... yeeees. Beignets before my flight? Yes, yes, yes! Considering I normally don't love airport food, I wasn't sure if these were going to be "the real thing," but they were so good. Warm, fresh and sooo much powdered sugar. And just around $4 for three. There were only three people ahead of me in the queue; went fairly quickly with two cashiers. In addition to their beignets, they also had coffee and quite a bit of merchandise (I noticed coffee cups and stickers, although they probably had other things, too.) Happy I was able to make a stop in! 2025: 7/100

Yelp
Classic Beignets are the best. I love visiting this spot whenever I'm in visiting New Orleans. It's a must visit. Powdered sugar fried pastry. Cold brew coffee or hot coffee. Your choice. Do yourself a favor and stop at cafe du Monde.

Yelp
Cafe Du Monde is my go-to airport snack spot where I can treat myself to some beignets before flying! They're tucked away at the start of one of the terminals, making it fairly easy to grab a quick snack regardless of where your flight is leaving from. They also have an extra counter space away from the register so you can sort all your goodies without feeling rushed. Don't forget your napkins at the registers though! (I always have to remind myself to grab napkins when paying since they're not available at the extra counter to the side). Anyway, I've had them several times now, and haven't noticed any change in quality, though sometimes you'll get beignets that are fluffier and soft vs other times I've gotten ones that are more on the crunchy side. One thing that stays consistent though is the overflowing powdered sugar! They never skip out on that, and every time I've gone I've gotten a nice heap of extra sugar at the bottom of my bag. The line length depends on various factors, but it does go by quickly and the staff are very efficient with orders, especially during busier times when they open both registers.

Yelp
Convenient grab and go vibe with no tables with seating. Pretty quick and kind service. The beignet isn't as good as the Original Cafe Du Monde. Still recommend for those who wants quick beignet to take on the way. This location accepts credit card payment*

Yelp
Got my last fix before boarding my flight. Line moved quick even though it was long. The cost wasn't too bad compared to in the city. My order was off, and they fixed it but it took a few minutes for the staff to understand I was missing 2 items. Otherwise, good opportunity to grab beignets if you missed them on town, or want some fresh ones for the plane.
google avatar

Miley D.

Yelp
I always make a pit stop here on my way out of NOLA. The line goes quick and the beignets are incredible!!! I'm never disappointed. And it's right by the B gates, which are my gates since I fly out of Southwest. I'll continue visiting every time I'm at this airport!
google avatar

Monica H.

Yelp
Shorter line, quicker service, and they take credit card. Nice lil treat to bring home. Friendly service as always. Don't worry if you miss the original location, you can always grab some here whether you're on your way in or out of LA!!!!!
google avatar

Ryan F.

Yelp
Had no cash earlier in the day at the French Quarter but knew getting my fix would happen at the airport. They really a really efficient operation at the airport location, and even have windows to the prep. Mine beignets were piping hot and covered in powdered sugar, iced cafe au lait was delicious and the cashier was great. Even brought some chicory kcups home. 100% coming back in the future
google avatar

Todd M.

Yelp
As advertised. Nice environment and great beignets (donuts)! Not much else to say but Yelp wants characters!
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
What can you say about the world's best beignets that hasn't a ready been said. Fresh as heck they were. I ask the nice lady for some right of the oil and she obliged me with three of the dresses one I have ever had. 100 out of 100 score. Even at the airport things can taste awesome as long as you stray away from the fast food options. You know I might just use New Orleans as my new layover point in the future.
google avatar

Marie S.

Yelp
Coming from Raleigh to New Orleans so glad they have a Cafe Du Monde in the airport. There was no line - getting the Beignets was quick and easy. Lady at the counter was very nice. The Beignets were warm and fresh.
google avatar

Eric B.

Yelp
We didn't have time to visit their locations in the city, so this was very convenient to find a location right in the airport. We ordered their famous beignets as well as some iced lattes. The beignets were quite good. Warm and fluffy inside with a slight crunch and powdered sugar. Messy to eat so be ready with napkins for all the sugar that will fall everywhere. The lattes were good and had a little extra spark of flavor that might be from the chicory. They were not flavored or sweet, and they were quite smooth and not bitter. If you miss Cafe du Monde in the city, stop by this airport location! Allow a little extra time, though, as we noticed there was a long line at times.
google avatar

Daniel M.

Yelp
I found this airport location weirdly better than the location I went to by the French market. The beignets were warmer and not hard as a rock. They also tasted fine but I just prefer Cafe Beignet over this. If I ever find myself in NOLA again, I see no reason to actively seek out any of the Cafe Du Monde locations again. There was also more of a line here - expected since this IS an airport - but it still moved at a steady pace so it's not like I was waiting for long. But the most important part is that they take credit card here. And that alone puts it over the OG location, even more so when it's in an air condition building as opposed to outside in the humidity where it also smells like ass.

Joan C.

Yelp
Quick easy beignet fix before leaving NOLA, if you didn't have time during your visit or just need more beignets. At the front of terminal B for easy access.
google avatar

Terrance G.

Yelp
Had to stop by cafe du mom de before i left nola. Luckily there haopen d to be on at the airport on my way out. I of course got the beignets, only thing i go there for. They were delicious always. Covered in powder and soft and hot. They came out very quick after i ordered as well.
google avatar

Bill S.

Yelp
Gotta love seeing a Cafe Du Monde immediately after getting off my plans in the New Orleans airport, so I did not waste any time in getting the party started early. The beignets were as good as the ones in the French Quarter and this is a great addition to the airport. However, they are MESSY and the powdered sugar seems to get everywhere so be careful.
google avatar

Ziad S.

Yelp
You can never go wrong with this place. It's located in the airport and if you're craving some delish beignets, this is your spot. The only problem that you will is that if you get coffee there, you have to be extra careful since they have the cheapest lids and the coffee will spill everywhere.
google avatar

Demond S.

Yelp
I was moving around so much while visiting New Orleans and Louisiana that I did not have time to stop by the famous Café Du Monde in town. Fortunately, there was one at the airport, and I was able to get fresh, fluffy-hot, covered in powder sugar beignets. OMG!!! I got my bag to go. You can't missed the Café setup in the airport. The staff were friendly and quick to serve. I can tell you, they were so good that I may have inhaled them before the plane took off.
google avatar

Jamie W.

Yelp
Hot Beignets?? I'm in. Knowing the Cafe Du Monde in the French Quarter well, I was delighted to see this spot in the NOLA airport. In a hurry? They are quick, but don't let that make you think they aren't fresh - they are frying them up as they order and go. Make sure you have plenty of napkins, and don't take a deep breath when you open the bag or expect a big inhale of powdered sugar. LOL. Who cares if you get on the plane with white spots all over you? Everyone will know you enjoyed some of the best beignets on the planet! I'm not a coffee drinker, but they also serve their chicory coffee, as well as soft drinks and hot chocolate. You can pick up a beignet mix and coffee to take home as well.
google avatar

Cheri Y.

Yelp
Yummy Beignets. LOVE this location in the airport. I grew up eating these. I was lucky enough to be born here. My mom was visiting her mom, probably eating these Beignets & popped me out at grandmas house. haha. My grandmother also made us Beignets all the time growing up. We ate them plain, with honey, light cinnamon/sugar mix, stuffed with different things, you can make them many different ways. I'm not sure if people understand the powdered sugar they are coated in at "Cafe Du Monde" is "optional" that you can order them plain without the sugar. I just like them plain. I always get them plain without sugar. Even when I was a little girl I never liked them with all the powdered sugar. That is a touristy thing. Try them plain with coffee sometime. Fabulous :).. Highest Recommendation.
google avatar

Raegan L.

Yelp
It's so nice you say it twice... Or in this case, eat it twice! During my New Orleans trip we of course stopped at the original waterfront Cafe Du Monde location. But, when I saw they have another small location in the airport, well, I could NOT resist! You can't pass up on an opportunity sitting so lovely right in front of you. The beignets from Cafe Du Monde are life changing. It would take a lottt to find some that are better than what you get here- if I went to France of course, but in the U.S I certainly don't see a legitimate competitor. They are to die for. They were yet again covered in a literal mountain of powdered sugar, just as they should be. Hot and fresh and beyond delicious. We got the Cafe Mocha as well and that was chocolatey goodness. The perfect airport treat before catching a flight. I'm in love!
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
I stopped by the airport location of Cafe du Monde twice, both times on my way out of MSY. I got beignets the first time and just coffee the second time. The beignets here aren't the freshest, because they pre-made a ton of them, so they can just pass them to the customer to keep the line going. This means that your beignets aren't fresh. If you're looking for a last beignet kick, then it's fine, but just know that it won't be as piping hot as the FQ location. They also sell Cafe du Monde coffee and beignet mix here and while it's not as cheap as the options outside in NOLA, it's still cheaper than if you bought it from the many gift shops in the airport.
google avatar

Ray M.

Yelp
With all the great reviews, I'm thinking I must've come at a bad time. The problem with beignets is they have to be fresh...these were not. I've been to the original store in town and they were phenomenal....These were kind of hard, like they were made a while ago. The coffee was good, but.... expensive for what you get. If you've never had beignets before, this will probably do it for you, but if you have, save some money and skip it.
google avatar

Nikolai K.

Yelp
Awesome location in the airport! Unexpected but fantastic. Great way to get a taste of the famous New Orleans beignets without the wait at the main location. Price for three beignets is really good here and they are delicious! Perfect texture and flavor, and came with a huge amount of powdered sugar. Cafe Au Lait was creamy and delicious with good flavor, and really hit the spot. Pairs really with the beignets. I followed the good reviews and was not disappointed, I would definitely recommend this!
google avatar

Chi H.

Yelp
Wish I knew, we could get plain beignets instead of the pre made with ton of powdered sugar. Went here for a quick bite for breakfast. It's nice that they have this famous place in the airport. They also sell merch and coffee. The beignets were made already and ordering was fast. This is a spot that is def fast. People actually line up for this. Lucky our plane hasn't broad yet. If you get a chance and you forgot or haven't got a chance to try them. This is a good place to do that.
google avatar

Anita M.

Yelp
This is more of a tourist trap than anything. I think people come here because they are told "you have to get begniets at.... But, the truth is, you don't. Yes, they are good....but overly busy. You are lucky to get a table most of the time, and the staff seems just totally.over dealing with people. There are SO many other places that make the very same begniets and coffee....often for the same price or less....WITHOUT THE WAIT. We went once, then started going elsewhere...no need to go back.
google avatar

Jack G.

Yelp
Delicious beignets and café au lait. That's all you need to know. Part of the classic New Orleans beignet chain. Expect to get messy from the powdered sugar. I personally prefer the beignets at Café Beignet, but they are close.
google avatar

Char H.

Yelp
The service at this airport location is wonderful. I felt welcomed. I didn't feel ignored or rushed like at many airport restaurants. The food was very fresh.
google avatar

J F.

Yelp
If in New Orleans, you happen to miss your chance to visit the original Cafe Du Monde, you get a last chance opportunity to experience these amazing Beignets and Cafe AuLlait, made fresh in site! Just add a few extra minutes to your travel plans - 'cuz there will be a line Enjoy...!

Yelp
I had one last attempt at visiting Cafe Du Monde before departing MSY Airport, since I did not get the chance to visit the iconic French Quarter location. I had a solid hour before my flight back to Chicago, so I figured why not. This location is conveniently located in the main concourse at the entrance to Concourse B which is right outside of TSA. For the love of mocha! I ordered a medium cafe mocha w/ an order of beignets which were three per order. I kid you not, there was enough powder in that bag of beignets that would have made "Pookie" from the movie New Jack City lose his God dang mind. I savored each moment in-between eating each beignet, and while taking sips of my cafe mocha with a smirk on my face from the initial bite to the last. And yes, both were delicious! So delicious that I nearly considered re-visiting before my flight just so I could pick up another order of beignets. I had a pleasant ordering experience at this Cafe Du Monde location. As like I, if you did not make it out to the French Quarter location, I recommend visiting prior to your departure. I would gladly order from again during any of my ventures to New Orleans. ~Blessings~ Thomas G

Yelp
Amazing beignets and service . Definitely check this place out especially before you leave Nola
google avatar

Denae L.

Yelp
This review is only for the beignets. I don't have a lot of beignets experience, but these were amazing. Freshly made and warm. Large and sharable. Sweet from the powdered sugar, but not overly sweet like a donut. It was a treat and we didn't buy enough!
google avatar

Care P.

Yelp
I mean come on how can one not love some beignets. It was my first try and I was pleased with the taste! The chicory coffee was different but very good. The customer service was subpar, I am a very nice, happy, easy going customer so for me to feel it was subpar you had to work at being rude.
google avatar

Jimmy P.

Yelp
I always thought this place might have been too overhyped but damn it really does taste good/different. I grew up only ever eating at the one in Disneyland in California. But those taste more airy/empty in the middle. This one was thick and dough-y. I loved it! The coffee is pretty bad though.... overall the service at the airport was super fast.
google avatar

Carrie K.

Yelp
I try believe the beignets from the b terminal cafe du monde are better than the original since covid changes. They are piping hot with generous portions. Save the lines in the quarter and just grab before you fly home.
google avatar

Danielle G.

Yelp
This space is the only name you need to know when it comes to Beignets. I tried a few others while in town and theirs are just perfect! The right amount of sugar, hot pillowy little treats. It is a real treat and a must every time you are in the city.
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
So I am yet to actually visit New Orleans but I have gone through their airport - MSY. I had some time prior to my flight taking off so I finally had the opportunity to try my first beignet from this world famous business. This deep fried powdered piece of carb perfection was better than I could have ever imagined. I will definitely say that you're going to want to eat your beignets as soon as possible because I can tell that the longer they sit the harder and less delicious they get. I was telling locals that it was my first time having one and they told me as good as the airport location is, the original French Quarter location is even better... if this is true, my mind is blown because these were amazing!
google avatar

Annie S.

Yelp
Great location if you missed eating beignets due to the long lines, if you need to load up on beignets before leaving NOLA or pre-game your trip to NOLA when you arrive. In my case, I needed just one more beignet before my flight home. What I was most surprised about: - the prices are not much more expensive than getting them in the city (like less than a dollar) - the beignets were great and hot! - they do not skimp on the powdered sugar - the line moves quickly - the coffee is good You can watch them make the beignets in the window. Pro tip - eat them at the table in front of the store. There is nothing worse than getting powdered sugar all over you right before a flight.
google avatar

Stacey A.

Yelp
First spot I saw getting off the airplane so I had to stop and get some beignets. Great service and they were delicious!

Cecile P.

Yelp
The best beignets in town!! I love taking my grandchildren there they end up covered in powdered sugar, but it's a lot of fun!
google avatar

Bruce B.

Yelp
I can safely guarantee that the line at this Cafe Du Monde is far shorter than the line at the original location on Jackson Square right now.
google avatar

Philip L.

Yelp
We usually end up going to this MSY airport location because our New Orleans vacations are too packed to hit a proper Cafe du Monde, especially the more iconic locations like the original French Quarter one or the newer City Park one. The good thing about this airport location is the line moves relatively fast. The beignets aren't as fresh (since they priority speed at their airport and prepack the beignets in advance) but still tasty and much better than anything you'll find outside of new orleans. Also a good place to get your coffee fix, with hot mocha or iced cafe au lait.

K W.

Yelp
This was my last chance to eat beignets before leaving. They did not disappoint. Service is fast. Only thing is minus points for no napkins at the sugar/straw station or no where to be seen. The beignets are delicious but messy! I needed my caffeine kick too and iced mocha was good.
google avatar

Charles T.

Yelp
A bag of beignets and a frozen coffee and we are officially set to start our time in New Orleans. This is the ideal way to start any trip here, so happy there is a location in the airport!
google avatar

Brittany T.

Yelp
YES, this place is worth the hype! Can you mess up a fried French doughnut covered in powdered sugar? Not really, so a bunch of places in NOLA can do the job, but Cafe Du Monde is iconic for good reason. Their branding is on point, there's plenty of merch for souvenirs, their service is quick, and the beignets are just damn good and fresh! I came every day for three in a row because I couldn't stay away. Loved this place and how convenient it is in the quarter, along with the street musicians that are always there to entertain you (remember to tip them too!).
google avatar

Mark T.

Yelp
You know, I gave the O.G. Cafe Du Monde four stars... and here I am giving this one five. Expectations, man... With this location being inside of the airport, I would have thought the prices would be higher, or the quality would be a little lower. Heck, I expected both of these to be the case! Yet, I got the same quality and price as I did at the O.G. Location aside, the same feedback applies - these beignets were very good but not out of this world. Inside the bag they were having a bath in powdered sugar, and the coffee was solid too (with detectable chicory). Also it is pretty cool to be able to see the magic happen - as there is a glass window to the kitchen!
google avatar

Evelyn D.

Yelp
So I have been in New Orleans for 5 days and have not been near enough to a Cafe Du Monde to get any beignets. :( I had time in the airport so I figured I would try, and hope that they were going to be fresh. Well these were just out of the fryer and were perfect. In addition I ordered decaf café Au lait. Jackie was wonderful because as she brought the cup out she questioned if that was right, and asked me to wait while they brewed a new pot. To the manager of this location - Jackie is a great ambassador of your brand!
