This little café near Mile End is one of those places that instantly puts you in a good mood. Yes, it is narrow and almost always busy, so you might need to wait a bit outside. But once you are inside, it is worth every minute. The space is warm, cosy and thoughtfully decorated without feeling forced. It has that genuine, lived-in charm that many cafés try to imitate without success.
The menu is surprisingly broad for such a small spot. You can find sweet dishes, savoury ones, halal options, vegetarian choices and more. We ordered the Mediterranean plate, the Eastern Pan and the potato pancakes, along with a cappuccino, a latte and a tea. The portions were generous and carefully presented. The edible flowers, the plating, even the water infused with mint and cucumber all show how much care goes into what they serve.
The staff were quick, gentle and genuinely attentive. What made the place feel even nicer was the atmosphere coming from the kitchen. The team seemed to enjoy working together, laughing and staying in sync. That positive energy spreads to the whole room.
For three people we paid around £52, which is excellent considering the quality, the variety and the overall experience. It is a lovely spot with good food, warm people and a cosy atmosphere. Definitely worth visiting again.
